This is my favorite so far of the Janet Maple Series. I love this book!

Janet is one of my favorite female heroines. Her character has gone through so much in the past two books. In the third book your really see Janet at work. You see her love for the job and her love for Dennis Walker.

For Dennis Walker it has always been about doing the job at all cost This book has Dennis finding out their may be more to the job when you have partner.

Marie Astor's tell a great story. She does a amazing job of telling the story that includes a little of suspense, crime and love. She has awesome way of keeping the flow of the story. I love the way she has the characters interact with each other. I highly recommend this book!

Janet and Dennis are back and trying to catch the bad guys once again in Bad Guys Get Caught, book #3 in the Janet Maple Series.

I am just going to go ahead and say it; this is my favorite book of the series. Janet and Dennis have grown so much as characters and the author’s writing has improved with each book. All of the books have been great but this one really stands out.

Book #3 delivers a little bit of everything. It has mystery, suspense, romance, and a cast of wonderfully written characters. One of my favorite things about this book is that the author challenges Janet and Dennis to grow up and learn that relationships require work and sacrifice. She directs them to see the bigger picture during their times of struggle and I think that’s a lesson that can’t be shared enough.

I know the synopsis states that this book can be read as a stand-alone and I completely agree but I really hope that you take the time to read Book 1, To Catch a Bad Guy (it’s free) and Book 2, Catching the Bad Guy. Don’t miss out on the chance to get to know these characters as friends!

It thrilled me to have Janet Maple and Dennis Walker back in my life again with Bad Guys Get Caught (Book 3 of the Janet Maple series)! Marie Astor sure knows how to write an action packed, romance, mystery, suspense, page-turner book! Marie should be VERY proud of this book, she did a fantastic job keeping me captivated with an awesome storyline.

This is my absolute favorite of the series. Totally loved the interaction of Janet and Dennis, but also the other characters - totally believable. I loved seeing characters from Book 1 and 2 as well in this one. I enjoy seeing characters again in a book series, whether they are good or bad :) I honestly didn't know what was going to come next in reading this - certainly not like some books where you know what's going to happen - not at all. Kept me on the edge of my seat that's for sure, many twists and the ending was very well done. What a great story! Total WOW!!!

My gosh do I love seeing Janet and Dennis in action and together! They're like family to me so reading about them in this book, what they go through, just thrills me and I so look forward to more of them in the future.

I highly recommend reading this entire series. If you haven't read Book 1 or 2 yet, you can still read this as a stand alone and not be lost. Marie did a great job at that for readers.

Marie, Book 3 is FANTASTIC - keep them coming because I just love Janet and Dennis and I want more of them!!! Excellent, excellent, excellent. Marie Astor's books are ones you DO NOT want to miss out on.

Again, I highly recommend this book (as well as Book 1 & 2). You will not be disappointed because Marie ROCKS it with this series!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE :) :)

Every time I read a new book in the Janet Maple Series I have a new favorite. Dennis and Janet are working for Ham in a private office this time and official couple. I am absolutely thrilled that Dennis and Janet are really a couple even though there are jealousy issues as well as competition issues. They make a great couple and are better together. They make each other complete plus the sex is really hot.

Dennis was confident, almost conceived, strong, protective, loyal, stubborn, fun, charming, sexy, hardworking, protective, passionate, caring, full of life, adventurous and not afraid to take risk. Janet was not as sure of herself, but very strong, competitive, passionate, compassionate, caring, and giving. This whole series was a wonderful Series that I highly recommend. I was given an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. My review can be found at .

Marie Astor's Book 3 in the Janet Maple Series. Janet Maple and Dennis Walker are top-notch white collar crime investigators who work alongside the FBI and other agencies at times. They start a new case which unbeknownst to them opens a can of worms. We meet old characters from the other books which is always fun to catch up on their lives. Janet and Dennis grow so much in their professional field as partners trying to catch the bad guys by working on separate issues rather than working on them at the same time which shows their growth as individuals. In growing in their professional field they grow as individuals which allows them to grow in their relationship and realize they really do love one another deeply. Now saying the words aloud is another issue to overcome. This book is so good... a true good old fashion romance novel filled with all the suspense, drama one could want with stranger danger. KUDOS!! Can't wait for the next!!!! Please say their will be sooner rather than later :)

I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED “Bad Guys Get Caught Book 3, by Marie Astor! Janet Maple and Dennis Walker are absolute super sleuths at catching the bad guys! When they are working in harmony with each other, they cannot be beat. However, sometimes the fact that they are a “Couple and they both have very competitive personalities can really screw things up!! If you read the first two books in this series, you will know the struggles, trials and tribulations Janet and Dennis went through to finally become a couple. They had entirely different personalities, and their road to their HEA was not a smooth one! This book, as were the first two in Marie’s series, are full of romance, intrigue, and humor. These books have a little of everything you could possibly want in a contemporary romance, mystery, humorous series. I hope there will be a book four in this series because I think this couple still has a lot more enjoyment to give us!! Great Job Marie! You have another hit on your hands my friend!!!

This book is awesome as is the entire series. It was fun and smart and the characters were like the next door neighbor. I fell in love with Baxter (the protective K-9).
Janet and Dennis are white collar crime detectives that have this thing for each other. They work well together....but there is always a but? Does Baxter like Dennis? Will Dennis fall for Mila? Will Janet forgive Dennis? How does Janet feel about Dennis "seeing" Mila? Do the bad guys really get caught?
So many questions and all you have to do to get the answers is read....Bad Guys Get Caught!
It can be read as an individual book.....but my suggestion is to read the entire Janet Maples series!
Loving Marie Astor and loving this series!

I have the honor of reading this one before it became available. And all I can say is WOW! What a perfect ending to a great series. We are thrown back into the world of Janet & Dennis and them trying to Catch the bad guys. You will find laughter, inspiration, in being yourself, in helping others, love and of our favorite man's or woman's best friend Baxter. This story will keep you on the edge trying to figure out what will happen next. Marie Astor has outdone herself with this series. If you love a good contemporary romance, then you must read the Janet Maple series. It is a feel good story with a little intrigue added in. I loved it and will be reading it again.

Having read the first two books in this series, I was very excited to see this third book was finally out! I downloaded and read it without stopping. I love the interaction between the two main characters, Janet and Dennis. As I read this book, I was drawn into their mission and was sitting at the edge of my seat during the climax! I have throughly enjoyed this book and look forward to any new release by Marie Astor!!!

Janet & Dennis are after another bad guy, but this time things get a little competitive between them. They have a new boss and their relationship is heating up. A lot is happening all at once. So much going on that once I started this book, I couldn't put it down. I think this has been my favorite book in the series so far. I'm ready for book 4 now!

I loved this book, but it lost a star because the author keeps using the last name of the main characters. Sometimes it feels like the author uses the last names because she gets paid by the word. I like how Janet and Dennis's relationship is growing. I felt the suspense a little more in this one than the previous books. In my opinion each book is getting better. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

The editing and writing seems to get worse with each of these books...while I like reading about Janet and Dennis, I have trouble with simple grammatical errors and repetition.

BOOK SYNOPSIS

Bad Guys Get Caught (Book Three in the Janet Maple Series)

Janet Maple and Dennis Walker are aces at catching the bad guys, but an assignment involving an international gangster and a sleazy politician just might have them in over their heads.

With the man of her dreams on her arm and a dream job at one of NYC’s top private agencies, Janet’s life is nearly perfect. It all changes when a high profile case falls into her lap, and Janet finds her competitive streak kicking in, taking risks she shouldn't be taking.

Dennis Walker loves catching the bad guys as much as he loves being in the limelight. Will he be able to share the laurels with his girlfriend who also happens to be his work partner? And will the bad guys get caught?

*Bad Guys Get Caught is book three of the Janet Maple Series, but it can easily be read on its own.*

My Thoughts

From the beginning of the series we are rooting for Janet and Dennis to become a couple, in book one they meet and sparks fly but as coworkers they leave it at that for the most part. However in the second book the two realize that their attraction to each other should not be denied as it is more than just physical but also a mental connection as the two just “click.

In each book the pair find themselves in investigations where it seems like the “bad guy may get off scot free until at the last with just one final piece of evidence they are served overdue justice!

Now that Dennis and Janet have taken their relationship to a higher level of intimacy their competitive personalities cause them friction. When their latest case leads the pair to take measures that neither approve of very much to find the necessary evidence to prove that the squeaky clean politician they are investigating is in fact not as he portrays himself and the link between he and the gangster whose establishments he frequents is a bit more than just that of a loyal customer.

Both Dennis and Janet get a little too caught up and do a bit of damage before each of them realize their work is not more important than their deepening relationship, what could have turned into a complete disaster instead turns into triumph and watching it unfold was a lot of fun. Baxter is as usual his adorable self and even Peter Laskin has a shining moment or two! You have to read this last one, the bad guys never knew exactly what upset their nefarious operations!

***THIS BOOK WAS GIVEN TO ME IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***

***Tina, #NerdGirlMama’s Review***

Bad Guys Get Caught, book 3 in The Janet Maple Series, we are reacquainted with Janet Maple and Dennis Walker who are in a new relationship, and are partners in white collar crime investigators. The white collar crime they are asked to investigate in this book 3, is the background of a senate candidate who seems too good to be true, and in fact that is so not the case with this guy. I do not give out spoilers so that is as much as I will say, but read the book and find out what they find and how they get the bad guy.

The characters are written well and are relatable, and I found that the Author has improved on the characters even more that the first 2 books. The Author has written this book 3 as a standalone, and gives you flashbacks in order for you to get the background of the main characters and has improved on the amount of them in this book. I rate this book at 4 out of 5 stars in that each book there has been a progression of improvement. All in all this is a good light read and I did enjoy reading this book and would say if you enjoy a little crime and romance than pick this one up and try it, but even though a standalone read, I suggest you read book 1 and 2 first.

Romance, Mystery and Suspense

I always worry that a third book in a series will not keep up the momentum or the interest in the characters. So not the case with BAD GUYS GET CAUGHT! This was a great, fun, quick read filled with romance, mystery and suspense, there is something for everyone! This can also be a stand-alone book. You did not have to read books #1 and #2 to understand what is going on. There is enough of a recap and explanation to feel like you haven’t missed a thing!

Janet Maple and Dennis Walker are white collar crime investigators. They are a couple and they are very competitive with each other. Their assignment is to investigate Julius Libby, a candidate for the New York senate seat. They are hired to do a thorough background check before his candidacy is officially announced and the campaign begins. A candidate who comes across as too good to be true, usually is and what they find will have you holding your breath and hoping that the BAD GUYS GET CAUGHT!

Bad Guys Get Caught by Marie Astor is the third book in this series but it can be read as a stand alone because Marie provides enough information to readers.

Janet Maple and Dennis Walker now work for their old boss in a private company. Their relationship is slowly developing as both a couple and as work partners. This time they are assigned a case of checking out a senator candidate before he is endorsed by his party. The plot moved swiftly and expanded to include so much more than the background research of the possible candidate. Readers even got to visit with characters that we had met in the previous books. Janet got competitive in this one and struck out on her own which made for some tense moments between her and Dennis. It was good for their relationship and added to the twists as the story unfolded. I am now ready to read the next book in the series.

Great book! I enjoyed the entire series! The storyline was exciting and made you feel worried about Janet and Dennis. They were in a very dangerous situation and could have ended up in trouble, but they both proved that they were brave, flexible and spontanious - they made a good team but were excellent investigators in their own right too.

However, Marie Astor managed to raise a serious suspense novel into an 'easy-going', funny and entertaining book intervowen with romantic threads. Overall, it's a very enjoyable read!

This book was a little steamier than the others. It's nice to see the interwoven personal and professional stories of Janet and Dennis. It's a very quick read, no more than 2.5 hours. I also enjoy how the books are not overtly linked, but secondary characters still remain.

Overall, I liked this book better than book two, however, I was most disappointed in the ending. The climax of the book was the wrapping up of the case. The epilogue fell flat.
