*** SECOND EDITION: CONTAINS EXCITING NEW AND UPDATED CONTENT. PREVIOUSLY TITLED, "THE RENTAL". ***

Rick Delaney is off-limits. Vee Wyland knows this. She knows it because he’s her boyfriend’s older brother.

But he’s sex in the form of a six-foot hottie she can’t ignore, and when her world lies in tatters at her feet, she can't resist following him into the underbelly of the secret establishment he works for.

The Rental is the last place Vee ever thought she’d find herself, but she's drawn to the money, the decadence of seduction, and despite the company’s no fraternization policy, she can’t deny the one thing she wants most: a life of sexual decadence with the one guy she can’t have.

"My heart belongs to you...and it's a gift no one can buy, borrow or steal."

Vee has learned early on what it's like to love and to lose the ones you love. After that dreadful night when everything was taken away from her, she lives her life in a daze. Going through the motions, dabbling in some stuff to help her get by. But then one day, her past comes back into her life, wakes her up and leads her to a new opportunity...no matter how much he tries to keep her away.
Being held by him was everything. It was the high when I smoked something I shouldn't have, the come-down when the happiness wore away, and the dreams for more of it every night as long as I could foresee.

Rick has enough on his plate to worry about and now he has to add Vee and her desire to let loose her alter ego. That day Victoria was born and in secrecy she gets to live out her fantasy with Rhett a.k.a. Rick...even if it's forbidden. They wish they could be free and not sneak around in secrecy, but too much is at stake. The Rental . 'professional, polite, and passionate company.' A place to be able to make money, explore your fantasies and give into your desires.
I had nothing to lose and everything to possibly gain.

The Rental is a means to an end, for them both... they were warned not to get caught up in the lifestyle, making them careless. They know the risk they are taking but they can't help the fire burning in them. Vee's relationship with her mom is falling apart, Rick is fighting his own family battle, is what they have worth it all and is it strong enough to survive? They realize soon they can't have their cake and eat it too.

The Rental was just an okay read for me, it is a steamy sensually erotic read that had a lot going on. I didn't really connect with the characters enough to understand their choices or their decisions, causing my own reading experience to not be so great. They had so much responsibilities and obligations it was so easy for them to get caught up in The Rental.

The booked picked up for me when they reconnected, it almost became something new, the characters were awakened emotionally and physically. It's a different concept for me, which is good in the sense because I can't compare it to anything but bad in a way that I didn't understand it completely. Regardless, my opinion had nothing to do with the writer's style, it was how the book made me feel in the end. I welcome to give it a try and see, you never know you may enjoy it more than I did!

In disclosure, I'm noting that I was given a free eARC copy of this book by the author, who is a Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ friend of mine.

Also in disclosure, I'll state that I don't normally read romance novels, erotic or otherwise. I say this to put my rating in perspective; by putting it out there that this type of story isn't normally "my thing", I can show why my enthusiasm might not be as high as someone that gets off on this stuff, so to speak.

So why am I here? This is the third book I've read by Berto, each one inching a little further away from my personal comfort zone. But I figure Berto can use an honest review outside of her target audience to see just how well her written word crosses over.

It does that. Yes, I'm giving this a middle of the road rating, but it's still one that says I "like" the book. I found myself very intrigued by the story and where it was going. I cared for the characters, and downright adored Vee, the main protagonist. I often found myself on the edge of my chair, wondering what was going to happen next and how they'd push the envelope.

So what's the problem? Well, not a problem so much. I just didn't enjoy this book start to finish as much as I had the previous works I've read from this author. Precise and Being Kalli felt a lot smoother in narrative. I really think that it's the romance factor that makes it jarring for me. As I said, I'm not a reader of the genre.

But that said, there was plenty of payoff in the Holy Shit! moments. And you know, I just had to turn that page...just one more time.

So yes, it's definitely worth a read if the subject matter doesn't bunch your panties too much. But then, if you're reading my reviews, you're probably not too easily offended.

Or I'll be flagged...

Anyway, thanks again for the ARC, Rebecca. "And you, young Skywalker; we shall watch your career with great interest."

An ARC was kindly provided by the Author for an honest review.

The Rental is the first book I've read by Author Rebecca Berto. As a reviewer, I always enjoy having the opportunity to read books by new-to-me authors.

The idea behind the The Rental was interesting, and it had such great possibilities, but unfortunately it just didn't deliver, in my opinion. Victoria (Vee) is dating Justin, a boy from high school, but has always had an attraction to his older brother Rick. That fact alone, had a ridiculous amount of potential, but there was no development to Vee and Rick's backstory. We are to assume that they had this "connection" before he left town and she started dating his younger brother, but we never saw it. I don't want to be told that it happened, I want to see it develop, I want to FEEL it when they're together. Even flashbacks to the past could have worked.

The book is told in single point of view from Vee's perspective, so we only see the entire story through her eyes. I always prefer to read dual point of view because then I can experience the story from both sides. Since I had no connection to Rick from the start, I never felt invested in their relationship.

The story is a bit strange. I'm actually not quite sure how to describe it. Some may call it dark. Drugs do a play a part - Vee likes to self-medicate with marijuana, but Justin seems to be into the heaver stuff. It's actually the main reason why his big brother Rick has come back to town. Vee's use of marijuana is unnecessary to the story though, and probably could have been removed.

In summary, Vee and her mother are struggling financially, and she is working multiple jobs to try and help pay the bills. She follows Rick to work one day and discovers that he works for a company called The Rental.

"The Rental is an agency to rent out the services to clients; however, there's no sexual intercourse of any form allowed."

Another important rule is that there can be no sexual relationships between employees, which puts a damper on Vee and Rick's attraction towards each other. Rick works security and accompanies the girls to their appointments to make sure rules are being followed. Luckily, on one occasion, the client wants to see Vee and Rick together, sexually. This allows them to explore there sexual attraction without really breaking any rules, because the client has requested it. They continue to try and keep their attraction a secret, but eventually they are "turned in" to the owner of The Rental and lose their very well paid jobs. When they think all is lost, they get a very interesting proposition that may bring them back to The Rental...hence book 2 in the series.

The sex scenes were good, though I would have liked to have seen more intimate moments between Rick and Vee. On a very minor note - I do like the fact that books are now including texts in the story. I think reading a text can tell so much about a relationship. I was glad to see that between Vee and Rick at some points in the book.

The Rental is the first in a series, but it does not end in a cliffhanger. The jury is still out if I'm going to read the next. If so, I do hope that there's more emotion in the storytelling.

Let me start by saying The Rental had THE hottest sex scenes I've read in a long time! The threesomes (and and don't forget foursomes!) are absolutely out of this world. This book is so hot that my husband was very pleasantly surprised! Now on to the story.

Vee is going out with Justin, but has been in love with his brother Rick from the beginning. Rick leaves for unknown reasons and Justin pursues Vee with no shame until she gives in. Rick returns. There is also another storyline involving Vee's father, as well as a story involving drugs and Justin. Even though I though the story could have been tightened up a bit, you MUST read this book just for the sex scenes!!

I also absolutely loved Rick. He is sweet and bossy and sexy all in one. If you are looking for a SUPER hot and steamy book with some suspense thrown in, I highly recommend The Rental. But have a cold shower ready!

Forbidden love, lust and romance, along with a heaping helping of erotic adventure, Converge by Rebecca Berto is a scorching tale of two lovers who fight and lose the battle not to give in to their desires. Vee has always had a “thing for Rick, her boyfriend’s older brother and when things get a little shaky between her and Justin, Rick re-enters her life to get Justin back on track. But will his return do more to hurt the relationship as Vee ‘s feelings come back with a vengeance? How far will she go to become Rick’s only desire?

Vee is a free-spirited, wild child who is coming out of her shell and sexual experimentation can be both profitable and just edgy enough to fulfill her dreams. Now, if she could only get Rick to participate, but it is breaking all of the rules, until it becomes the best part of her new job.

Like to live life on the edge? Like to risk melting your e-reader? Rebecca Berto turns up the heat level to scorching hot as these two lovers enter a world of secret taboos and carnal delights. Ms. Berto doesn’t ask you to like all of her charters, she creates them as she sees and feels them. One is protective, caring and a little mysterious; the other is full of themselves, spoiled and self-centered, yet vulnerable to only one person. Erotic heat flares, so wear asbestos gloves when handling!

I received a copy of this book from the author as a winner in a giveaway.

Prior to starting this book, I read the prequel novella Masquerade. I enjoyed that. It was a nice set up for this book. It set up the attraction between Vee and Rick. And I loved Rick's POV. I loved his personality and his struggle to stay away from Vee because she was still too young for him. The reason I bring this up is because everything I loved about the novella was missing in the book.

Don't get me wrong, the book wasn't bad. But it was from Vee's POV and she just didn't do anything for me. I didn't hate her POV in the novella, but I loved Rick's. So I was slightly disappointed that The Rental started from Vee's POV. But I kept reading, and hoping that Rick would get a POV. But then the book kept going and before I knew it, I was at 50% and it was the Vee show. I missed Rick and being in his head. To me, Vee came off as a spoiled girl that thought of nothing but what she wanted and how she was right and knew everything. I really disliked her drug usage. I didn't feel it was necessary to the story. And since it was all Vee all the time, I never felt an emotional connection between Vee and Rick. And I know it was there at some point because I felt it in the novella.

I was intrigued by the premise of The Rental, and the job Vee ends up with. It was an interesting twist and it threw quite a monkey wrench into their relationship. They are able to explore their attraction to each other during sessions with clients, but while the scenes were steamy, I was really hoping for more one-on-one time for them.

While I was intrigued by the overall premise of this, and completely drawn into the prequel novella by Rick, I'm not sure I would continue with the series. I would need more than just Vee and to know that they were going to have a real relationship with some time with just the two of them.

Vee Wyland has always known that Rick Delaney was off limits because she is dating his younger brother Justin. Now that Justin and Vee have broken up Rick should be free game...right?

One thing leads to another and Vee finds out that Rick works for a secret club called the Rental. Although Rick wants her to stay far away from the Rental he can't deny that she can make a whole lot of money in a very short amount of time. There is just one major negative...the Rental has a strict policy that their employees can not date

Can Vee and Rick ignore the temptation so that they can keep their jobs or will the temptation be too strong to ignore? Read and find out!

I received this book as an ARC from Net Galley for my honest review

The one thing that is undeniable is that this book is extremely hot! The chemistry between Vee and Rick is out of this world and there are many surprises that will pop up as you read the book.

Vee is a girl who is heartbroken and basically down on her luck. With no where else to find peace she is happy to see Rick, the guy that she has always wanted in her life.

Rick is struggling to be a good guy. He knows the reasons why he has to stay at the Rental but he does not want to see Vee in a place like the Rental.Together they try and find a way to make things work but the past wont leave them alone.

This book overall was a very good book. It is selling right now for 3.49 on Kindle Amazon, which is a fair price. I was very intrigued by Rebecca Berto's writing style and I cant wait to read more of what she has to offer.

First I want to say that, if you want a tantalizing read, than OMG...get this book now!

The story is revolved around Vee and Rick. The both aren't looking to find a relationship. They both have trust issues, but the chemistry between the two draws them together.

Vee has something awful happen. When she starts a job , low and behold a handsome Rick is intertwined in the same are, both in denial, but fate has another turn to that.

The chemisty between the two is hot of the press, HOT, STEAMY and PASSIONATE.

If you like hot erotica, then this story is for you.

Rebecca is a fabulous author, in this book you feel apart of the scenes. The chemistry will have you fanning yourself and turning a flush red.

Update = Converge was a brilliantly updated edition of the previously titled 'The Rental'. I loved the book the first time around, but the additions just made it all that more special. I can't wait to see what happens next in the world of the Rental.

SO MUCH LOVE!! Rick = *fans self*. 5 Stars! Full Review to follow! <3

Edit.

I always adore reading a book by Rebecca Berto. Her ability to create such dynamic characters, ones who are both relatable and realistic always leaves me feeling great after I’ve finished the book, as I feel like I’ve been taken on a journey with real people who I admire and feel connected to because of their real flaws and everyday troubles which we as readers also go through.

The Rental was a book that puts out all the stops. Rebecca Berto has created a sexy, exciting and intriguing world inside The Rental, and it is one that has opened my mind in a way that other books in the erotica genre haven’t necessarily done. I adored Vee and her desperation to help her mother with bills after her father’s sudden and tragic death was something that made her a real idol for me. I also loved that she didn’t go into the Rental world with a close minded view of prostitution, but with a genuine curiosity for the world inside the Rental, and the way that sex and pleasure isn’t something to shy away from but to embrace as another way of showing love and affection, as well as accepting that when people are lonely, sometimes comfort in this form is a healthy fix. It was such an eye-opening premise that underlined this story that I connected with the story on such a deep level and felt bereft to leave the world of Tne Rental behind until the next book is released.

Now Rick. *phwoar! *fans self* How does Rebecca Berto do it? She created a sexy, intriguing but flawed individual who was so real to me. He wasn’t put on a pedestal and held to unrealistic expectations, which made him so much more attractive as the hero of the story, and something that made me feel I would be more likely to find a man like him in real life, which is what a good book should do for a reader, and as always Berto does this perfectly.

I absolutely adored the writing style in this book. The character development is paced so well, and I loved the decision to author made to introduce the reader to her characters almost a year previously to the events in the second half of the book. It gave it a real sense of time passing and the changes that the characters had made over this time, and how much the circumstances they’d found themselves in the time that had passed had shaped the decisions they were making in this second part of the novel.

As always Rebecca Berto has delivered with a fantastically written and incredibly sexy story that has me dying to return to the world of the Rental soon!

5 Stars!

**An eCopy was provided in exchange of an honest review.**

When I read the blurb for this book, I was immediately hooked and just had to read it, so I was very happy when I got a copy of this book. The whole going away and then reuniting thing is something that I love in books, add the fact that the guy coming back is the boyfriends older brother, and I was totally sold.

Rick and Vee always had something for each other. Stolen glances here and there, whispered touches and feelings neither of them could deny yet couldn't act upon because of the age difference between them, and then Rick leaves suddenly, and his younger brother, Justin takes his place. When Rick returns, tragedy strikes Vee’s family, and to support them, she has to join an escort service where Rick works as a body guard. Any relationship between them is forbidden, but soon, they succumb to their feelings, putting more than their futures in danger.

I was really excited to read this book. I couldn't wait to delve into it, and as soon as I had the chance, I started it. My excitement was wavering from the first few chapters though, and disappointment was taking its place. The alternating between the past and the present was confusing me, and it felt awkward at times. The text and writing wasn't flowing and I felt like snippets and sentences where missing in several places. This continued on throughout the whole book. It really annoyed me, and I had to take pauses between reading because I couldn't find the will to continue. The whole thing with Justin, her father and even The Rental, felt loose and didn't sit tight or well together.

My other issue was Vee. I couldn’t really relate to her and most of the time, I was frustrated by her actions. While I understand that she had just graduated and wanted a life like any other teenager, to go to college, to party and have fun instead of working several jobs to help her family, I still felt that some of her actions were just childish and selfish. Especially when it came to Rick. I really loved the guy, he's sweet and bossy and submits only to Vee, which is why I wanted to hit her most of the time she was around him. The guy wanted the best for her, and she was only thinking of herself. There was one scene where he was forced to watch her work on another guy and she felt empowered, but when a women touched him, she was burning with jealousy and cried. It drove me crazy that it turned her on when he watched others touch her, but as soon as a girl touched him, she'd turn into a heartbroken girlfriend.

Though I have to admit, the sex scenes where some of the hottest I've ever read. They were scorching hot,as in somewhere between I-need-a-fan hot and oh-my-gosh-I'm-melting hot. It was one of the few things I loved about this book and that made me want to continue reading.

There is a short prequel novella out called The Masquerade although not essential as this gives a good start for The Rental.

Rick first noticed Vee when she was 15 years old. He knew he could never go there she was too young. Vee had also noticed Rick. She watched him, lusted after him, and feelings for him grew. There is something between them; whatever this connection is they both feel it. Then Rick left giving no reason, no explanation, he was just gone. Vee got on with her life. She had always been around Justin, Rick’s younger brother, so eventually they decided to give their relationship ago; however, Vee never forgot Rick. Vee isn't happy with Justin either. He pays her no interest, seems disinterested, secretive and guarded. In fact, she often wonders why she’s with him. After a tragedy and a betrayal from two people close to her, Vee longs for Rick; the man who held her heart since she was fifteen.

One day he comes back. She bumps into him, they spend some time together, and then he’s gone. But she has his phone and coat so follows him to give them back. This is when she finds The Rental and Rick’s secret job. She is intrigued and gets a job there, too. She becomes Victoria and he is Rhett it’s a sexual journey for Vee / Victoria exploring her sexual fantasies and letting go of her inhibitions allowing people to watch them and act out anything they wish to do.

Together they embark on a relationship, trying to keep their lives as Rick and Vee separate from Victoria and Rhett. As employees of The Rental, it’s forbidden. All is not as it seems because Rick has secrets and reasons why he does what he does, and he wants to keep Vee out of it. When his secrets come tumbling down, how will that affect their relationship? Can they carry on as Rhett and Victoria? When they are both given the opportunity, what will they decide to do?

Rebecca has certainly got another hit on her hands. It’s well written, highly erotic, the characters and storyline are good, the story flows well and holds your interest. This book is so intriguing that you’ll find yourself totally immersed in the world of The Rental.it sort of ends in a cliffy, too. So there’s more to come with Vee and Rick’s story which is obvious. I’ll definitely be waiting impatiently for book two, The Reversal!!

I was curious about THE RENTAL because it seemed to be an original mix of mystery and romance. The writing style took me by surprise. It's somewhat haunting and adds to the mysterious atmosphere, but I usually found it a bit confusing. Often I wasn't too sure about the situation or movements of the protagonists, or what was going on. Anyway, the story itself is interesting enough.

First reviewed on Literaria

A 17-year-old girl is dating a guy who all of a sudden is not acting normal. Deep down, she's still pining for his older brother who's just returned after a long absence. After a crazy night when she finds out just how much she wants to be free and how attracted she is to forbidden Rick, a tragedy strikes and she's thrown into a nightmare of loss and pain.

At 18, she runs into Rick again, and right when they're about to get intimate, old issues come up. What's more exciting, she discovers where he works and she gives it a shot too to his chagrin. And that's when she becomes a Rental.

I really liked everything about The Rental. It was surrounded by mystery, filled with sensuality and discovery. I think Vee didn't know what she was getting into when she said yes to working as an available woman for special clients. It could be such a risk, and she's also risking a complicated relationship with Rick. Nevertheless, I understood her need for experimentation, her wanting to stand on her own two feet and forget the past by indulging her inner darker desires.

The effect was most exhilarating. Participating in scenes with clients with certain rules served to fuel both their lust and their jealousy. A heavy combination that works well for the reader. They run on a complex edge as she plays erotic games with clients while he watches or participates for their pleasure.

Outside this club, and while working, their feelings intensify as they share their passionate connection in front of other eyes. For fictional purposes, I found this very exciting and it got me hooked.

Money, sex, drugs, bereavement, all wrapped up in a daring club that caters to people's fantasies, The Rental is a story about an unorthodox couple in love and in search of sensorial and financial freedom. Quirky and compelling.

The Rental was crammed full of drama, intense moments, and one of the hottest scenes I have read in quite some time. The main characters were mostly likeable minus a particular weakness on the part of Vee. While I disliked that about her, I understood her need to cope with the events that had transpired in her life. Unfortunately, the people she chose to surround herself with were not exactly stellar influences and her coping needs far outweighed her rationalization of right and wrong.

When she was introduced to the workings of The Rental, Vee found herself exposed and inexperienced in a world that was as intriguing as it was frightening. The adrenaline that coursed through her veins served to heighten the sexual encounter to epic proportions. Inhibitions were let go and Vee felt a high unlike anything she had ever experienced and she wanted more…needed more.

The chemistry between Rick and Vee was intense and full of passion. But when Rhett and Victoria took over, it was exponentially greater as they lived for the moments of pure ecstasy that came with each connection. The Rental offered an escape to an alternate universe where the comforts of each other were sufficient to make them forget their woes. But finding solace through pleasure is surely not without consequence for Rick and Vee or Rhett and Victoria.

I was thrilled to read an early copy of this book. I had not read anything from Rebecca Berto previously, but this story intrigued me. I enjoyed this steamy glimpse into Vee’s world and I am anxiously looking forward to the prequel novella, The Masquerade, and book 2 in the Rental Series, The Reversal.

*This book was given to me for a fair and honest review*

4.5 STARS

The Rental is the story of Rick and Vee two people untouchable to each other, yet so completely drawn together. After tragedy strikes Vee, she enters into a job that puts her directly in Rick’s crosshairs. They try to resist their growing feelings for each other, but their job keeps pushing them together. Giving into their passion may cost them everything

Holy hotness! I knew going in from the synopsis that The Rental was erotic fiction but wowza!!!! The heat between Rick and Vee almost made my Kindle spontaneously combust! I loved the passion and intensity that the two of them shared, both physically and mentally. What the two characters do is not a typical “job, to say the least, but mix that with the feelings that both were trying to keep hidden for so long and you get raw, unadulterated heat.

To be honest, I wasn’t expecting to like the book as much as I did. I was intrigued but in general I don’t gravitate towards erotica. I am more of an “R rated girl, not NC-17, but the storyline really drew me in and kept me hooked. I enjoyed the sexy parts more then I care to admit ;-). The author did a fantastic job of winding a twisting, erotic tale that was a metamorphosis of a sheltered girl turning into a sexual being.

The Rental is for open-minded individuals who enjoy their stories sexy…prudes need not apply. I cannot wait for the second book!

"If I had the power, I'd shift the earth so you always faced the sun and you'd never feel darkness." ~ Rick.

This line, and this story, holds beauty. The writing is crisp, sensual, and evocative, transporting me way back in time to an all too familiar period of naïve innocence and unexplored sexuality. Yet as we watch Vee's monumental sexual transformation, we grow with her and watch her bloom.

Vee struggles initially with the loss of a loved one, and I was right there, grieving the loss alongside her. There is a blinding realism in the hospital scenes, and for anyone who has lost someone close, these scenes will make you feel.

I devoured this book. The character development is believable, relatable and three dimensional. The OMG moments where Rick and Vee's physicality is on wanton display. But woven throughout the smoking hot attraction these two have for each other is a deep emotional connection underpinning their experiences, both within The Rental and outside of it, which is how their relationship ultimately survives.

"Everything about the way he wanted me was poetic like the wordless magic he invigorated between my lips to my mind." ~ Vee.

This isn't just a hot, sexy read (although it is definitely that too!) This book has depth and feeling within its pages, beautiful writing, and leaves you wanting more.

LEEANN'S REVIEW - 5 Stars

Where do I start.. Wow!! This book had me guessing from start to finish. Vee is a young girl who suffers a terrible loss at a time in her life when she is very vulnerable & impressionable. her parents were very loving and would do anything for her. She is trying to keep the family afloat by taking any job she can get.

Rick is her boyfriend’s older brother.
Rick has had a bit of a tough time, he has loving parents but a horrible younger brother who just attracts trouble like a magnet.

Vee's internal thoughts are at times quite funny & show that even though she is younger than Rick in age, she has had to grow up very quickly & matches him well in maturity.
Rick is very protective of Vee & when she accidentally lands herself in an unexpected situation, his first instinct is to get her out of where he thinks she doesn't belong.

Unfortunately Rick has a lot going on that Vee doesn't know about & he sometimes blows hot & cold with her.

He can't deny though that the sparks are flying between them & together they are hot as sin.
If you have read & enjoyed any of Rebecca's other books, you are going to want to go & once click yourself a copy of The Rental quick smart... This story is fun, fast, full of angst & sinfully hot!! You don't want to miss this one!!!

Rick is her boyfriends older brother.
Unfortunately Rick has a lot going of that Vee doesn't know about & he sometimes blows hot & cold with her.
He can't deny though that the sparks are flying between them & together they are hot as sin.

Vee that girl is attracted to Rick not that I blame her, "Rick turned, focusing his attention on the washer. I wiped the laundry bench and cupboard and mopped the floor, trying to concentrate on the mop end and not Rick's a** or his body bent over the machine." Rick is, Jesus that boy is just sexy, "I haven't stopped thinking about Friday. All of it," he said, and put his hands on the sides of my stool. his fingers caressed my butt as he pulled me close between his knees. "Not the moment I laid eyes, the kiss, or what I said." He's also really bossy, "he felt my tenseness and lift his face from my pu**y, one hand wiping his lips clean. "I'm preparing you. I want it to hurt as little as possible. Come for me, and throw that damn pillow over your face because your arm won't cut it this time." This was a different type of story from Rebecca's other books and I really enjoyed it I'm looking forward to the next book. I was pleased with how this one ended with the option for more of a story later if she decided to write one.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. For Vee Wyland her whole world is crumbling. In one night she was betrayed by her boyfriend and best friend. She also lost her dad. Vee spends most of her days avoiding her past and getting high. When Rick Delaney comes back into town, old feelings start coming back for Vee. When an opportunity arises for Vee to work at The Rental she takes it. The Rental is an exotic place that make fantasies come true. The place is enticing to Vee as she is just learning about her own sexuality. Rick also works there and doesn't want Vee working there. The attraction between Vee and Rick is undeniable. Vee must choose between a chance with Rick or exploring her own sexuality.

I loved this book! Not only did it have a great story but the sexy scenes were HOT!!! A truly enjoyable read. I highly recommend this book to anyone that is looking for that guilty pleasure. You won't be sorry. I give this 5 stars

DNF at 25%……I won't be writing a formal review for this book and I also won't be rating this book. I don't feel it is fair to the author or the book to rate this book since I was unable to finish reading it. It pains me not to finish a book and I hate writing any kind of negative review, so I am just going to say that the writing style and storyline just wasn't for me. I had a really hard time following the story and I just couldn't connect with the characters at all.

Just because this book didn't work for me, doesn't mean you should pass it by. This might be a fantastic read for someone else.

Yowza! I want to find myself a Rick! Hot, alpha, protective, he's quite the catch! Enter Vee, who is with his brother, until her world crashes around her and she's left alone. Now she's forced to work multiple jobs to keep afloat, until she finds out about The Rental. It's an exclusive club that is far out of Vee's area of expertise. However, Rick takes her under his wing, sparks fly, and the two of them begin a steamy and illicit affair. Will they be able to continue, or will outside forces make them stop seeing each other?
I thought this was a seriously sexy story with a lot of potential. The storyline itself was interesting and captivating. One thing I didn't like was there seemed to be some awkward jumps where I didn't know what was going on. Overall though, it was a fun and intriguing read, I can't wait to see what happens next.
Thank you to the author for a copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I wanted to like this book based on the description. With that being said though, I couldn't. I felt like the story was all over the place and at times very confusing. I couldn't keep up with the last and the present. It would switch so quickly that you just wouldn't know.

Vee is this 18 year old who goes through some stuff all at once and has to grow up rather quickly to help out at home. Rick is the 21 year old who has noticed Vee since they first met. They have both had feelings for each other but Vee was underage when they met and neither could act on them. Now they come together under rather odd circumstances.

I did start to enjoy the book towards the end and I may even read the next book. It won't be one that I will be waiting to be released though. I don't know if I could recommend this book to others.

Reading The Rental is a bit like falling down the rabbit hole. Sometimes the story seemed vague and unclear, but Rebecca more than made up for that by crafting some of the hottest love scenes that I have ever read! The physical relationship between Rick and Vee reveals so much about the characters on a deeper level and the way the Rebecca expresses that is what makes this book a truly unique read

Is it hot in here? I am burning up. These two make it okay to be a Rental The back story is sadly sweet. Vee dated Justin while pining for his older brother. Rick is not the screw up little brother turns out to be and sexy to boot. I am eagerly awaiting the next book.
