After spending all of her life working in the mines, Brook jumps at the chance to earn a one-way ticket to the colonies. All she has to do is provide some maps and plant some explosives to help the sky warriors rescue one of their operatives.
Easy enough, right?
But what should have been a simple mission spirals into a fight for her life when she discovers a stolen stash of nerve gas in the mine.
Engineering specialist Cipher long ago accepted that he would never have a mate. He refuses to participate in the Grabs, and instead, he dedicates his life to his work. He’s all but given up on the idea of love and a family of his own.
Until the night he meets the asset who can help them retrieve Terror.
The moment he meets Brook, Cipher knows he’ll never be able to leave her behind on the mountain. The petite, brilliant beauty ensnares him with one shy smile and awakens his protective instincts when she goes missing.
Brook is the one he has been waiting for his entire life—and he’ll risk everything to claim her as his mate.
While browsing bookstore shelves as a teenager, Lo discovered the erotic writings of Anaïs Nin and A.N. Roquelaure. Certain her mother would not approve, Lo smuggled the books home and squirreled them away in the most likely of places: under her bed. Late at night, she delved into the sensual worlds both writers created.
As a co-ed studying biochemistry and genetics at Texas A&M University, Lo dabbled in creating naughty tales to entertain her friends. Study for a midterm or pen a deliciously dirty story to delight her small band of fans? Not surprisingly, Lo is now on an extended sabbatical from college.
Luckily, Lo stumbled onto the world of erotic romance publishers. She realized there were other readers and writers who loved and craved breathtaking romance with the spiciest of love scenes. She took a chance and submitted her first novella. The rest is history.
Lo lives in Texas with her family and beloved Great Dane, Bosley.
Cipher, one of the smartest men of the Harcos forces, is trying to find Terror and save him. Brook, who is now all alone after the death of her father a few years ago and her mother when she was a child, is an asset to help save Terror. They meet and are both instantly attracted. Cipher ends up mated to Brook.
Great story. I love Brook and how brave and innocent she is. Recommended, but these books need to be read in order as there is somewhat an overall story arc.
I know this series has issues. I think it's hastily written and edited (and that shows), possibly because of the years-long wait from 3 to 4. Each book gets significantly shorter, which means character, relationship, and plot development gets scrunched together in a shorter space. But I am still obsessed, and I NEED to know what's going to happen next. Also, the author is really good at making me invest in even the most minor characters, making me want even more books (*cough*Chance*cough*).
This was a much awaited new instalment of The Grabbed series. A well written sci-fi romance with some hot hot hot scenes.. I can't wait to read Terrors story.
You really have to read it. I'm going through this series and this is like my 3rd or 4th days I think, when I ended the 5th book. I love how the hero, Cipher, is really considerate towards heroine, Brook given her upbringing on the mountain and just hv to make do for a living. It just they are made for each other. As usual we got to experience the progress in the world of aboard Valiant ship and Calyx. I was really in tears at the end but yeah *insert you got me in the first half, not gonna lie memes* it works out and it is amazing!
Love it so much! A bit crush when I realise that the next book in this series is not here yet but I am REALLY looking forward to know about Terror, Torment, Pierce and Risk stories. Thank you author!
I’ve been following this series since book #1 and I’m happy to report this was a good read. Definitely Brooks was awesome as a heroine and Cypher was decent enough that I enjoyed myself. No cheating, a few tears, but overall a good story.
It's been a while since I have given something 5 stars but this book in this series was simply the best.
This series is usually very heavy on the sexy times but it seems that as it goes, there is more story to it now. Like they're growing into something more and I think that's why this one is my favorite.
Lolita is going more in depth to the subterfuge of those who want nothing more than these Sky Warriors to be ended and take over the government.
In this installment we have Cipher and his team looking to rescue Terror with the help of Brook. A woman who has nothing left in the world but this job that will end with her having a better life in the end. All she has to do is make it out alive and then see if Cipher will claim her like she wants.
I read another review where they said that Brook is probably the most capable mate and I agree wholeheartedly on that. She was simply awesome. She brings something to the table the others just can't.
She grew up in the mines, learning everything she can from her father. That knowledge makes her invaluable to Cipher and his team. But Cipher finds himself caring more about her than his need for this job to be done. They need Terror back but he would rather have Brook safe.
I love her connection to Terror. On her job, she is climbing through the vents and sees him being tortured and does the only thing she could to help him. She feels terrible that she couldn't save him then and there but Terror understood. So when he is losing it, she is the only one who understands his pain; his mental anguish. She saw what they did first hand and she is the only one who can talk to him without needing him to really respond. She doesn't need to dig into his mind and Terror seems to appreciate it.
After successfully completing her job, she ends up sick but, Cipher swoops on in and claims her. He realized early on that he wanted her but thought she would have a better life in the colonies. After seeing her sick and rescuing her from almost being human trafficked he very well couldn't leave her behind.
He was very patient with her and loved that she had a submissive side to her already. She was taught to respect men and that translates well in their society. He loves everything about her but knows he'll have his hands full with her.
She is curious by nature and always feels the need to help. That connection to Terror, leads her to find the true enemy and helps her save everyone on the ship. She goes out to find Terror, because he was apparently going through the walls with ear plugs in just moving around (more to that later), and comes across the big bad. She and Terror work together to stop him and her knowledge of bombs (demolition really) helps her disable them and Terror does the heavy lifting, the physical stuff.
She almost gives her life up by saving everyone else but her life in the mines actually helps her in the end. This was a pretty easy and great read for me. I devoured it and now all I want is Terror's story.
Here are a few things I loved or remembered most. 1. The intro with Terror. That made me want this specific book to be his. 2. Maisie, or D.D. as they called her, made me super curious to see how she handles this world she lives in. Deaf and disrespected. There has to be way more to her than we know. 3. Terror and his appreciation for Brook. He liked Hallie well enough but Brook earned his respect tenfold. 4. Brook. Just everything about her. 5. Viscious and his need to be there for Terror. He listens to Brook and what she had to say about Terror and that helps him to be there for his best friend even if he can't truly help him heal. 6. Just Terror. It seems like my review is mostly about him even though this isn't his book. I'm just ready to read about him cause I think he'll take spot one in my heart

So glad Lolita is back to writing grabbed stories. This one had the most bad ads heroine! While still being a sweet girl, Brook was tough and smart. Nice to visit with all the Harcos males. Great to have that weirdo Terror back.
This is my favourite story on this series. I admit I´m not a fan of bdsm, don´t even like it, but going for the main plot scenes, this book has quite a lot of the things I like: a strong woman who is the opposite of the damsel in distress, intelligent, selfless and courageous, plus a caring man that goes against a tradition that encourages men to hunt for women. Tons of politics, conspiracies and corruption, it´s a whole world that left me wanting for more. I´m so very sorry that the author is unable to continue with this series. I would have loved seeing other characters´ stories, especially Terror´s, which sounded so promising at the end of this book. I wish Lolita´s health gets better, regardless of her writing, although of course I´d love to read more from her.
Claimed by Cipher is an absolute page-turner! From the moment I met Brook, I was captivated by her strength and resilience. She’s a heroine you can’t help but root for—determined, fierce, and willing to risk everything for love. All her life, she longed for safety and protection, but when she finally found it, she didn’t hesitate to put it all on the line—not just for the man she loved, but for the new family she had just met. Her courage and selflessness made this story even more powerful. The emotional depth of her journey and the undeniable chemistry between her and Cipher made this book impossible to put down. Lolita Lopez has crafted a gripping, heart-pounding romance that I couldn’t get enough of. Highly recommend! ❤️🔥
I was hoping we would get a story about the mines! This book had more plot than smexy times compared to the beginning of the series, but I freaking loved Brook! And the smexy times are different than what this series started out with...which I've noticed is becoming the turn this series is taking (except Terror, I think his book was written before Cipher and Raze, so it's more like the old series).
I loved the new places this book gave us instead of it being The City or running and then ship. We got to see a bit more in Calyx and learn about different parts of the planet again. This one was more of a sweet one compared to the others.
I love this author. Both this name and her other pen name Roxie Rivera. I love her books. I just wish they weren't so much time in between books. I understand they take time but we are talking years and then to not even consider getting a proofreader and the reader has to pay $3 a book. It's ridiculous. Oh well I'll keep reporting them when I see them maybe she'll get the hint.
Anyway back to the actual story. I'm glad Cypher was forced to claim Brook. They make a beautiful couple. Both are so brave and ready to save the ones they love even if it results in their own death.
I read the first 2 books in this series when they first came out. I started the series again and each book gets better and better. I just finished Claimed by Cipher and could not put it down. You know when the story line is going in the right direction because I found myself getting angry at some characters and talking smack to them. Lucky no one could hear me. I’m am starting the last book in the series “Taken by Terror and I know I won’t be disappointed at all.
I love this series. The females are brave, funny, and very willing to sacrifice themselves when needed. Cipher refused the grab. He considers it barbaric. Brook grew up in the mines. She is a genius with explosives and engineering. Cipher loves helping Brook learn technology. He nurtured her curiosity. I love her caring nature. She understood Terror's issues when returned to his friends. Loved this one. Find Orion a spirited mate. Please.
She better be making another one. Terror was always my favorite so getting so much of him in this book even if it's not the greatest situation is great. Plus add another bad add mate to the mix and I'm there. I've been a fan of this series since the first book and I'll follow miss Lopez until the end. Which better be a happy one.
Love this series! All 5 have great characters! This one had great adventures, yes more than one! Miss Lopez is a wonderful story teller! The romance was good the sex even better! We got to check in on the couples from the other books , which was fun! A really great read ! Read it in a rainy afternoon!!
I love reading the Grabbed series and could not wait for Raze ☺️Now, I just finished Cipher and I loved it. These earth women are bad asses and their Sky mates even harder. Cipher and Brook are my new favorites next to Raze and Ella and Venom and Dizzy. Excited about the next book.
Wow! What a ride of emotions with so many twists and turns in this story but love every moment of it from beginning to end? There's plenty of action, torture, drama, evil cruel doctor traitor, a female hero, love, and kinky sex with awesome characters? A must buy and so ready to read the next book in the series.
This book was phenomenal. It had so much action and great twists I couldn't but it down. Cipher and Brook have sparks from the beginning and their story does not disappoint.
So happy This series is back. I love the grabbed series. Honestly there are characters I was more interested in than Cipher, but it was a great story. Brook was a little toooo perfect, but I didn’t dislike her. Can not wait for Terror and Torments book.
I was glad to see another book released for this series! I love how the setting continues to grow! Hot alpha men and the women they adore =) I would recommend reading the series in order
This series is an auto-buy for me, and I'm so glad it's back! Brooke is amazing- she's hardworking and sweet and brave and so very capable. These stories follow a central plotline, but each of them is so uniquely fresh and different. I can't wait for the next in the series.
Happy happy to see these series continue with the same vibe A very smart h, resourceful and with a background that makes her an asset and a H that is not as alpha as the previous ones that makes the best match Looking forward to reading about T :-)
This may be my favorite of the series! It had such a great pace and I loved Cipher and Brook so much. There was no relationship push/pull. They both wanted each other from the start, and it fell together perfectly. I can’t wait for Terror’s book!
Love this series.... really excited when they start writing more of these books ,love reading them, hardly put it down, wonderful read from start to finish, love how the characters gets their happy ending, will definitely recommend this book to my fellow readers.
So glad to see the continuation of this series. I enjoy the different couples under the overarching story line. Looking forward to the next installment.
Really enjoyed this book because it didn’t hit you first thing w BDSM. The underlying story continues and thankfully the author spends more time on story and character development than the descriptive BDSM scenes.
