In a remote village forgotten by the civilized world, an old woman sits on a small stool by the hearth. She works the hot coals around the three-legged iron pot while on the dirt floor beside her, a small infant sleeps on a pile of hay. They don’t have much, but the woman cares for the baby as if she were from her own womb. As the girl grows up she knows her mother abandoned her and she has no idea who or where her father is. After the death of the old woman when the girl is eight years old, she is taken to her mother. The cruelty and abuse her mother puts her through inspires the girl to vow that one day she will find her father.
