It’s time for Bob to square some things away with the Commonwealth. Rules are rules, though, and that means two weeks in a ship with no gravity. When they get where they’re going, they still have a bureaucracy that hasn’t changed in a thousand years to get through. Come along and see the adventures of the crew of the good ship BS Karen.
I’m a house husband. I keep things together while my wonderful wife makes our living. I’ve worked as a machinist, short order cook, electronics assembly tech, and several other jobs. My hobbies include vehicle maintenance, (I’ve had the transmission out of my truck. Twice) free flight airplanes, electronics, and shooting. I was born and raised in the Ozarks, and now live in Mid-Missouri.
The adventures of Bob and Nikki will leave you laughing and wanting to read the next book. The characters are likable and well developed. The books are clean enough to be read by anyone at any age. The innuendos are subtle and amusing. The books should be read in sequence to get the full experience. Enjoy!
After so many years of the Gene and bots, we go back to a very organic crew with the fun of Bob and John sharing time and space. Great fun, great story, and great characters keep me coming back to this series after 37 books.
I like the smaller size and cast of characters. I would absolutely read spin-off series where I follow the adventures of Bert and Ernie, the scouts, and a possible BSR Academy.
I look forward to every book. Any other book goes to the side until I have finished Bob's newest adventure.
Looks as though editing has changed significantly. I noted few of the previously books' issues with punctuation nor anything else. This means the plot kept me so busy my brain self-corrected or those issues weren't there.
I have read the majority of the books in the series. Enjoyable, but, uneven. Some volumes have a single event at the core, and an enormous amount of filler, to make it book length. Whole conversations, scenes, and character interactions are copied, and re-copied from one volume to another.
Sure, Mr. Boyd has to pay his bills; but fewer and more dense volumes would be worth another buck!
This one is better than average, with more exposure to Bob and John; and more real events to move the plot along. Hopefully, the trend continues! Well Done!
A smooth chain of events with an apparent happy ending...
Lots of ongoing plot threads were tied up neatly, but a few new cliffhangers got added to keep the series going full steam ahead. New enemies were made, but they continue to underestimate the resources of our ever improving heroes. Looking forward to the next book in the already huge epic. Starting from the beginning is a huge effort at this point, but very important to fully understanding all the subtle details in the entire collective story.
As always, this is another great adventure with Bob and the BSR fleet. Fun dialogue Interesting technologies, scientific explanation that most of the time doesn't put you in brain-overload. The characters (humans, bots, pets and different alien species) become so real you feel like they are good friends Well, maybe not all are good friends. This is good entertainment loaded with space adventure, love of family and friends and a touch of whimsy Great movie references too
A great addition to the fun Bob's Saucer Repair (Bob and Nikki) series
Bob and crew depart in his earth manufactured ship BS Karen to petition for Earth's freedom from protectorate status. Political intrigue and shenanigans ensue. This is book 37 in the series I read the first 36 in a couple of weeks. Probably Best to read the series in order but these are thoroughly enjoyable sci fi fiction novels.
Even after reading 37 books in this series, I’m still finding the experience enjoyable and entertaining. This installment removes the restrictions which were in place for Earth as a protectorate world, and opens a much broader future for new story threads and possible conflicts. Looking forward for more from Jerry in this series.
You never know what Bob is going to get into next.
As usual Jerry Boyd delivers another great installment in the Bob and Nikki series. He kept me engrossed wondering what was coming next. I can't wait until the next book to see what happens. Thank you for keeping us entertained.
I love Bob and Nikki and the whole BSR mess. I have read the entire series several times and I am delighted when a new book joins the rest. The only problem with the book series is that each one has ended too soon. Congrats to Jerry Boyd. Great job.
As always Mr Boyd has written another great tale. Don't know how he comes up with his ideas, but I'm glade he does. His books are always entertaining, and Bob Has a Tantrum is the another interesting story.
It doesn't matter what I am reading, when a Bob &Nikki book does out, it gets put on pause and I'm flying with BSR! These books are wonderful, every, single one!
Another Warm, Wonderful, Exciting book in this series!
I will not tell you what happens in this book, but I will say the ending sentence was expected. Expected, but no less wonderful for this old man's eyes!
Plenty of action, excitement, drama and 'Bob Humor'. Just a little surprised and very pleased to have this episode so soon. 😘 Looking forward to many more books. Really, 37 Bob and Nikki books are not nearly enough. 🤗 Bravo for Jerry Boyd ! ! !
Bob goes to the capital of the Confederation and convinces them to release Earth from protectorate status. But not with out a great deal of shenanigans. Another great read.
Bob dealt with random problems in his normal fashion. His life is perhaps better but maybe not. With their shepherd getting a vote, anything can happen on good old Earth!
I find it hard to believe but Jerry Boyd is getting better and better with each book he writes in the Bob and Nikki series. I wish him good health and a long life and inspiration to write many more of these wonderful stories!
Just another great book from Bob and Nikki. Any science fiction fan appreciates the humor of a hillbilly. If uniformed they should start at 1. Can't wait for 38. Best decision I've made was to read 1.
I love the stories. Fast moving and inventive. I can't wait for the next installment. Please don't stop now. So much going on. They keep you on edge all the way.
Bob and the crew devise a plan to get the Earth out of Commonwealth protectorate status and on their own. As with all Bob plans it has some tricky ideas built in and not everything goes smoothly. A great story.
Another problem taking care of by the characters in the book. I love the way that the characters work together. At this point in the series I just like to get to the next book to find out what's gonna happen next!
Great Book! Enjoyed it a lot. I really like how Bob and the crew came up with solutions for everything the Commenwealth threw at them. Looking forward to the next installment.
I really am amazed on the way this progressive storylines continues so smoothly and turn out so good a story. I enjoyed this book immensely and get the next soonest.
