Ella Smith has rules about dating:
No players. No bad boys. And definitely no one like her mum’s toxic exes.

Nate Mullins has rules too:
No names. No relationships. No one gets hurt.

On the brink of a meltdown, Ella is pulling out all the self-care moves. Well, all but one. When her best friend suggests a fling with their hot bartender to let off some steam, it’s a big no. He’s a dirty talker with tattoos and a buzz cut oozing trouble like it’s a pheromone.

Ella’s a big sister with big responsibilities. She has to make sensible choices. And Nate seems anything but sensible. She can’t risk letting some bad boy ruin the life she’s worked so hard for.

But one night, stranded at his bar and on the verge of completely boiling over, Ella’s resolve snaps. And Nate is more than happy to give her the release she craves.

The trouble is, they only wanted a hookup neither of them counted on getting completely hooked.
Good job rules are made to be broken, right?

I DEVOURED this book this weekend!! I loved it so much!! For a newer author, her writing style was impressive and really kept me invested throughout the book.

This was such a cozy romance in my opinion. The story started Halloween night, and continued on throughout November, so the perfect read for this month if you’re a seasonal reader.

Main Characters (quick run down, no spoilers)
✨Nate was afraid of any kind of commitment after having his heartbroken several years ago. Ella, playing the role as mom to her sister, was afraid to have any sort of relationship after seeing what her mother went through while she was growing up. Their paths crossed and it was beautiful to see how much they grow for each other.

I can not wait for Josie’s story. I love how Cherry give us just enough details about Josie to make me want more!!

Tropes-
Boy falls first and HARD!

I absolutely loved Nate and Ella's story. I had the incredible opportunity to be a beta reader (and later re-read it as an ARC) and this book has such a lovely place in my heart. Ella is so relatable in her anxiety and fierce independence, and her caution about (seeming) "bad boy" Nate is totally warranted based on her life and family experiences. But the way she slowly opens up to him is perfect. He steps up AND THEN SOME to show her just how great of a guy he is, which was a major swoon. Nate has total golden retriever energy in the best way, and while he draws her out of her shell for a bit of fun—he totally falls hard in the meantime. I love that neither of them really see it coming and yet they get so attached. And the imagery of the high ropes course at night is just stunning! And the spice? Chef's kiss! It's fabulous!

Love a story where two people learn to heal their trauma and learn to trust one another at the same time. These two are perfection. You want to read this book.

Nate is the typical bad boy on the surface but as the saying goes don’t judge a book by its cover. Ella is trying so hard to be perfect, do all the right things, that she stands in the way of her own happiness. Together, they ignite all those new relationship feels... and then there’s the spice. Watch out. Nate is the new book boyfriend for sure. The story has intelligence and heart. It is engaging and left me wondering what was next. The playful use of double entendres was masterful. A Chef’s kiss.

Ella has a rule. No boyfriends and under no circumstances a "bad boy".

Nate doesn't do relationships after getting his heart broken at the worst possible moment in his life.

When Ella crashes in Nate's life. She just wants to let off some steam, but after a quick hookup, she can't get the infuriatingly handsome "bad boy", who flashes his dimple like a weapon, out of her head.
And Nate is hell bent on proving Ella's first impression of him wrong.

Oh boy. I loved the dynamic between Ella and Nate. The banter!! The tension!! The steam!!
I want to go back and start all over again!!!
If you want to laugh, swoon, melt and maybe shed a few tears, go read "Prove you Wrong"!!

WHAT did I just read!
This book! Ella and Nates story had be on an emotional roller-coaster! I don't have the words to express how I feel about this book and how much I loved it!
I want to go back and read this again for the first time as the things this book made me feel!
I was lucky enough to get sent an ARC for this book! And when I say it did not disappoint, I mean this book had me laughing, crying, turning bright red!

This whole story was just insane! the characters, the story, the small details which slap you round the face when you least expect it! I would highly recommend this book! I would also recommend not reading it at work because when I say it is spicy I mean ITS SPICY! The Spice scenes in the book are written so well!

I think I will be daydreaming about this book for a while!
Cant wait to return to The Wreak and Bull again soon!!!

I received an ARC of this and was so happy I did! I really liked how this story began. You jump right into the main characters Nate and Ella meeting, their second coincidental meeting and then the progression of their relationship after. Everything about it seemed authentic.

She first saw him as a bad boy and just good for a flirt, but he fell for her right away and wanted more. Ella had trust issues and was hesitant because of it, but he was set on proving himself to her.

I loved the dates that they went on and the 🔥 between them. I liked that their families and friends were a big part of the story too and that it sets you up for the next book! Great read!

🍒 ARC Review 🍒

This is Cherry Keeley’s debut romance Her writing style was impressive and kept me invested throughout the book. I loved it so much. Nate and Ella’s story was such an emotional roller coaster ride.

Nate has no idea what he’s doing with his life his friend & roommate Chunk keeps offering him a job at his company because of Nate’s potential. Even though he is afraid that he will make mistakes and everything crumbles. When he sees Ella again, he is determined to get her to give him a chance and prove her wrong. Ella is someone who puts everyone first e.g. her mother, her sister Chloe, and her best friend Josie. She has some issues her mother’s history of bad exes makes her fearful of bringing the wrong men into her sister’s life. Ella manages a lot at home and rarely allows herself to have some fun and let loose but my girl Josie makes sure that she goes out and feels free. At first, she is hesitant to let things become real between her & Nate in her eyes, he is 100% a Bad Boy aka a bad influence. Nate is such a funny, handsome & patient man even when he looks like a bad boy. He also fights with insecurities and helps Ella work through hers and I loved how they both worked through them together they are stronger together and independent.

I adored how Ella & Nate met for the first time, and the banter in a bar when they saw each other again. From the first encounter, the chemistry and the instant attraction were immediately visible. All their encounters seemed so authentic you could see how they gained each other’s trust and went from Strangers to Lovers.

Congratulations on your debut and I’m so excited for Josie’s book the end made me gasped out loud!!

If you're looking for a book which has incredible spice, hilarious banter and seriously poignant moments then this is it!

Ella is a woman who puts everyone else first. Strong and independent, she has no time for relationships and is determined not to get involved with a bad boy like her mum's exes.

Nate is a scorchingly hot barman who is juggling multiple jobb and on the surface, seems confident but is hiding his insecurities.

When they meet on a rainy night it changes both of their lives forever.

The CHEMISTRY between these two is incredible!!! 🔥 and keeps you hooked for the ENTIRE book.

Their friends and family are also the absolute best and knowing this is a series, I can't wait to read more about the secondary characters!

Prove You Wrong is a sweet and sexy contemporary romance featuring Ella, our FMC weighed down with pressure to be everything to everyone that she forgets about herself, and Nate, our soft golden retriever MMC dressed up as a motorbike riding, tattooed bad boy.

For me, Nate was the star. He was so cute, so wholesome and I loved him so much. Traumaed from a past breakup and reforming his unhealthy playboy ways, he falls first and hard for Ella. His friendship with Chunk is also something I loved and hope we get more in book two.

Cherry highlighting the incredible and selfless work of NABB (Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes) through the fictional UKBB in this book was wonderful. What they do helps to save lives and Nate being part of this group just made him all the more attractive.

Read if you like:
▪︎ contemporary romance
▪︎ dual pov
▪︎ he falls first
▪︎ spice
▪︎ golden retriever with a dimple and a filthy mouth
▪︎ headstrong FMC with an affinity for cocktails
▪︎ naming your motor vehicles

I love it when an MMC in a book doesn’t match his cover, and that’s precisely the case for our seemingly Bad Boy Nate. While he might seem like a walking stack of red flags, he’s actually a Golden Retriever to his core. Which is precisely what our homegirl Ella needs in her stressful life! Great fun read with people you wish were real and locations to match! 5/5 spice and swoon!

"Prove You Wrong" by Cherry Keeley is an enchanting romantic escapade that challenges the very essence of love, weaving a tale of irresistible chemistry and emotional depth between its captivating leads, Ella Smith and Nate Mullins. In a world governed by steadfast rules, their unexpected connection stands as a testament to the notion that some rules are destined to be shattered.

Ella Smith, an advocate of strict dating principles, has always steered clear of players and the elusive 'bad boy' archetype, influenced by her mother's tumultuous romantic history. Conversely, Nate Mullins lives by a set of self-imposed regulations—no names, no strings attached—a shield guarding him against the perils of emotional entanglements and past heartaches.

As fate orchestrates their meeting, Ella finds herself on the brink of a meltdown, seeking solace in a suggestion from her best friend—to indulge in a fling with Nate, a bartender radiating trouble and allure. Despite their initial intentions of a casual encounter, one passionate night at his bar turns their worlds upside down, shattering their carefully constructed barriers. Ella grapples with the weight of responsibilities, while Nate seeks to liberate himself from his own constraints, setting the stage for a compelling and unpredictable journey.

Cherry Keeley's storytelling prowess shines through, deftly painting a canvas brimming with raw emotions, crackling tension, and witty repartee between Ella and Nate. Their evolving relationship unearths layers of vulnerability and unexpected connections, steering readers through a roller-coaster ride of laughter, tears, and heartwarming moments. Nate, the quintessential 'bad boy,' surprises with hidden depths, while Ella's pursuit of perfection becomes a poignant obstacle to her happiness.

"Prove You Wrong" effortlessly blends intelligence, heartfelt sentiments, and sizzling passion, ensnaring readers' attention and leaving them eagerly anticipating the next twist in the narrative. Keeley's clever use of playful innuendos adds an enchanting charm to the story, enhancing the overall reading experience.

For enthusiasts seeking a captivating journey through a spectrum of emotions intertwined with steamy romance, "Prove You Wrong" stands as an irresistible read. Keeley's vivid portrayal of Ella and Nate's journey promises an immersive experience that lingers long after the book is finished. Prepare to be enveloped in a tale filled with passion, humor, and heartfelt moments—a delightful escapade into the realm of love, vulnerability, and second chances.

As the story concludes, readers will find themselves eagerly anticipating what lies ahead, eagerly awaiting the next installment in this captivating series.

Quick synopsis:
Ella’s not looking for a relationship. She never is. After watching her mom date a string of guys who didn’t stay, Ella’s not interested in the following in her footsteps.
After having his heart broken years ago, Nate engaged in countless, nameless one night stands. He’s not interested in that anymore but he’s not looking for a relationship, either.
But when Nate meets Ella, he can’t help but be interested in her. And he’s not just interested in a fling like she is, he wants more. Ella’s resistant, convinced the tattooed bartender with a motorcycle is a bad boy. She doesn’t want to bring bad influences around her little sister or fall for someone who is going to walk away. Nate knows they could be great together, so he has to change her mind about him.

Nate. Swoon. He falls hard and fast, and it’s so much fun to watch. The poor guy has no idea what he’s doing, but he’s determined to get Ella to give him a real chance. Ella, she’s got some hangups though, and I relate so hard. Her mom’s long history of crappy ex’s makes her wary of dating, and her responsibilities as an older sister makes her worry about bringing the wrong people into the teenager’s life. She’s taking on a lot at home and rarely gives herself a break. She’s so hesitant to let things between her and Nate actually become a thing. I love how Ella and Nate first meet, and the banter at the bar the second time they meet. Nate is funny, hot, patient, and kind, even if he looks like a bad boy.
He fights through his insecurities and helps Ella fight through her worries. This is such a great debut and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series and whatever else Cherry gives us.

Things you’ll find in this book:

Misunderstood “bad boy
He blushes
He loves when she blushes
She’s independent

He’s hot but sweet

Prove You Wrong by Cherry Keeley

Start your engines everyone, this book is going to take you for a ride!

On a dark and rainy night, Ella drives up to a dark bar on a British countryside road to fix her car. What she isn't expecting is a handsome guy to come out and offer to help. She leaves, never thinking she will see this mysterious man again.

Then, when going out with her friend for drinks, they end up at the same bar. There is Mr.mysterious behind the bar making their drinks.

Starting as a one night stand, things continue to get hot and heavy between the two of them. Especially the banter!

Ella is a strong, independent woman who has taken on the role of supporting her mom and sister. She is in a job she doesn't like and has rules about no dating. After meeting date, those rules slowly fade away as he tries to prove to her that he's not a "bad boy."

Nate has had a lot of failures in his past that have shaped his present. Not wanting to settle down, he works at the bar his brother runs and at an adventure centre with his best friend. After stumbling upon Ella, nate starts to fall hard for her and wants to prove her wrong about himself.

These two have such personalities that bounce off the page. The way they fall for each other is so sweet and makes you want to read more about them.

I'd recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a romance novel full of good banter, strong female lead and a misunderstood bad boy.

Happy Reading!

Meets the MCs:
🍹 Ella: responsible big sister, holding down a day job that she hates just to keep her family afloat.
🍹Nate (MMC): Solid citizen and Jack of all Trades. Don't let his tattoos fool you. He's a cinnamon roll through and though.

General Thoughts:
This book is quick-paced, quippy, and sexy. I think many of us can relate to trying to do the right thing and worrying about anything that looks like the wrong path. 🫶

What I loved:
🍒The banter! The suggestive snark was SO fun.
🍒The idea that we are not our past. We can make mistakes, grow, and change.
🍒We get by with a little help from our friends. Chunk and Josie are two friends that I would LOVE to have and are great, developed side-characters.
🍒Nate. YUM. He is a feckin' delight. Sweet and cocky.
🍒Their first date! OMG. #ifkyk

My not faves:
🍅 I read this at beta stage and told Cherry all my not faves then, 😅 and they magically disappeared! ✨️

Spice: 🌶🌶 🌶 HOT, explicit, with excellent lead yp tension. YUM!

⚠️Trigger warnings are well laid out for this book, and I felt that the way they were well handled in the story.

Thanks for having me along for the "ride" @cherrykeeleywrites! I'm so excited for you and your book! 🫶

Steamy contemporary romance that’s left me feeling twirly

Nate Mullins looks like a bad boy, but has a heart of gold, is emotionally self-aware…and rides a motorbike. And does volunteer work. Need I say more??

Ella was so relatable as a hyper-independent career-driven woman. I really connected with the emotional depth she showed in the way she warred between family obligations and taking time out to enjoy herself. It was heartening to see the way she gave in to Nate and trusted him on their (amazing) dates and the way he was patient and gentle with her.

The spice was SPICEY! But not overdone and always at the right moment. Cherry did a great job teasing the reader with their one night stand and taking us along an enjoyable journey filled with banter and beautiful introspections before hitting us with all the dirty talk and toe-curling climactic scenes.

Prove You Wrong had everything I enjoy in a contemporary romance: quaint English countryside setting, great cast of characters with distinctive personalities and voices, tension, conflict, emotion and quintessential British humour.

There were plenty of Easter eggs and hints for what’s to come in the series and I personally cannot wait for Chunk’s story.

This is the story of Ella , who puts everyone else before herself and takes her role as big sister very seriously.. to the point of not dating in case they turn out abad influence for her sister. A chance encounter with perceived " badboy" ( but secret sweetheart) Nate, who also has strict no names , no dating policy, leads to a one time thing to let off steam, but neither one of them expect to end up wanting more. Nate is so sweet and puts in every effort to prove to Ella the type of man he really is and what they can have together.

I adored this book and was hooked from the very start. I really enjoyed the story, loved the characters, and the writing was great, flowed well, and was easy to read. The spice scenes were really well written, too. The side characters were fun and interesting, and I am looking forward to more of them in the second book, hopefully.

Cheery is a new to me author, and I am really glad I found her books.

I loved this book! Ella thought that she would have to choose between being responsible, a good example for her baby sister and having fun, having freedom to do things she wants to do. But, Nate made this choice difficult for her. She is torn between her attraction to him and what she feels she must do for her family.

Nate is broken and a bad boy who gets a second chance at love when Ella steps into his life- "I was passed out, unconscious, in a coma, my body just going through the motions" and Ella brings him back from this state.

"What started out as a bit of fun banter has ended up with me being entirely consumed. Bewitched."

Amazing book- the plot, story, the character development, the pace, the humour, everything was lovely!

Ages ago I received this book as an ARC, and I read it in one sitting, but life got in the way and I couldn't find the time to review and post, but the time has come, so here it is.

This book is Cherry Keeley's debut as an author and it is impressive and engaging. The chemistry between Ella and Nate is palpable, and their contrasting personalities adds depth to their relationship. They are opposites in many ways, with dating rules that should keep them apart, yet their story unfolds in a captivating and unexpected manner.

As probably so many others have mentioned before me, seeing biker guys in English settings make me feral, because of the fact that when you see bikers in books, they're across the fricking Atlantic, SO THANK YOU VERY VERY VERY MUCH Cherry.

This book is a cute fast read following Ella, a young accountant living at home helping out her mom out with her teenage sister. After watching her mom’s failed relationships with bad boys she’s decided that’s not for her. After a chance meeting in the rain with tattooed mystery man Ella runs back into him at a bar and after a few cocktails throws caution to the wind for a quick fling. Nate a reformed bad boy is all but willing to obliged but he’s hooked and will do anything to prove to Ella that she’s wrong and he is Mr. Right! Nate is a dirty mouthed biker who will definitely grace the top of any book boyfriend list! I adored this cute British RomCom!

Here's what I liked about Prove You Wrong:
Ella, the MFC, has been through a lot and yet she is one of the most resilient female characters ever. She is amazing and she deserves to be loved fiercely and with kindness. Enter Nate: the MMC who's a bad boy on the outside but a golden retriever on the inside. He is as sexy as thoughtful. In one word: perfect. And I mean not just for Ella... he is simply perfect. I dare you to read the book and Prove Me Wrong! (LOL #seewhatIdidthere)
All in all, this book is a fun, sweet, sexy, swoony, and spicy read. And I liked it a lot!

This book was everything I didn’t know I wanted and needed. I was gripped from the first page. I also loved how it’s by a UK author, and so many British words and phrases were used, which I loved more than I care to admit.

I had so many emotions whilst reading this, on the edge of my metaphorical seat (mostly laying down reading), body tensed at the twists, sexual tension, raunchy scenes and so much more.

I loved literally everything about this book, I cannot wait for Cherry’s next release, I just know it will be simply amazing. Josie’s story will be full of tension, I’m feeling possible love triangle - mostly from the epilogue of this book and events that have taken place. I can’t wait and I am here for it!!

Nate and Ella!

Ella Smith carried the weight of an immense responsibility on her shoulders, seemingly taking on the role of a parent. It was in this selfless act that Ella's relatability shone through. I could empathize with the need to be a positive influence and the strain it can place on one's life. It was precisely during this time of distress that Nate Mullins entered the scene, arriving just when Ella needed him most.

Nate exuded both kindness and compassion, which only added to his appeal. The chemistry between him and Ella was palpable and unexpected, far surpassing their initial expectation of a mere fling. While Nate had no intentions of pursuing a serious relationship, Ella's misinterpretation of his character forced him to challenge her incorrect assumption.

The author skillfully added those small details that made the main character endearing to the reader. There were also some very well-written spicy scenes that provided the right amount of excitement.

Overall, "Prove You Wrong" is a heartwarming romance that is a must-read for romance lovers who enjoy the "opposites attract" trope and charming reformed playboys.

Thank you, Kaylee Cherry, for graciously providing me with an advance copy of "Prove You Wrong.

I was lucky to Beta read this and loved seeing the finished product. Cherry did such an amazing job with Ella & Nate - Ella, reluctant to trust the “bad boy she perceives Nate to be, and Nate, determined to prove her wrong. This was so well developed with fascinating characters, great friendships, and a really swoony (and sexy) scene at a lit up treetop adventure place that was deliciously unexpected. Thanks for trusting me with this early on, Cherry! Can’t wait for more from Wreck & Bull.
