An Unique Love Story!

Taming a Billionaire Bully was a unique and romantic love story. This beautiful story captures so many different layers including abandonment, unresolved trauma, and adoption. There was so much depth in the characters! I love the fact the author explored how unresolved trauma from past can affect relationships.

I did not like the Bully

Okay, so in the end the Bully redeemed himself, but..... He was a jackpazz for most of the story. The ending with the out of the blue person had me scratching my head. Why? Any way, the story was good otherwise.

it was ok

The story had really good potential but I feel it just didn’t flow and ended too quickly. Also the intimate scenes seemed random.

Dnf. Would NOT recommend.
And I was almost finished, but I couldn’t take it anymore. Connecting with these characters was impossible for me because there was zero to little character development.
Kaz is man child and Xoey is a babysitter.
This man used the term “fun bags un-ironically, followed closely by “make like eggs and scramble. This man is supposed to be from the hood does that track to you? Didn’t for me. I am convinced that the people who read this book and rated it 3+ stars don’t have any standards.
The conversations that the readers are supposed to Interpret as the MCs making emotional connections , it just comes out of left field.
So many unnecessary sentences meant to set the scene. I get it. You want us to know where we are, but why is that taking up 5+ sentences?
And then you have whip lash from scene jumping.
I get wanting to sell a fantasy , but this was so so unrealistic.
I’m sure I’ll have more to say later but this is not good. Not well written and I’m mad I wasted my time.

Billionaire bully

This story held my attention from beginning to end. I did not initially like Kaz because I don’t like bullies but Xoey was able to tame him, at least when it came to his interactions with her and the sweet moments between the two made me smile and redeemed Kaz in my eyes.

Kaz was ridiculously mean and rude for no reason, but I understood that was his default as a means to protect himself and keep people at a distance. Xoey was able to find her voice with Kaz and was able to assert herself and let him know his rudeness and being a bully would not be tolerated. These two needed each other and I loved the banter they had because Xoey was not going for being talked to any kind of way and Kaz was able to embrace a somewhat softer side with Xoey.

There was a plot twist that I wasn’t expecting, but I think it tied home what Xoey tried to get Kaz to see about the way he treated and talked to people. It made Kaz have to actually feel his emotions instead of stuffing them away.

While this couple ended with a happy for now, it would have been nice to have gotten an epilogue because I feel the ending was a bit rushed in the sense that everything was tied up in a neat little bow and it would have been nice to see this couple at a future time period and how their relationship continued to progress.

With all their being said, I would rate this book a strong 3.75/5 stars.

Honestly I almost didn’t finish this book. And wouldn’t advise anyone to waste their time unless their just looking for something you can easily skim. The plot was there, yes but it was paper thin. So much left to the imagination and a lot of plot holes. Spoiler but having a son pop up after almost 20 years and that being resolved in like 3 mins actually made me laugh (granted he was unknown caller through out the book, that would just hang up). Spoiler It ends with the Xoey explaining she was r*ped at 15 and had her son at 16 and then Kaz forgives her for keeping her child a secret form him, which didn’t make sense cause they was still getting to know each pretty much and then they disappear off page to fuck. Literally the end.

Billionaire Bully!!!

Let me tell you, Kaz was something else. He was so closed off and rude. It took Xoey to tame that rascal. I really loved how she didn't let him talk to her any kind of way and put him in his place when she needed to. The back and forth added that spiciness to their relationship which made their coming together all the more 🔥🔥🔥. I loved their banter and how they each found something in themselves that the other needed in order for them to heal. I couldn't stand ole jealous Clarissa. She thought she was going to bully Xoey and I was glad she got put in her place. This a great read about healing and redemption of one self. The ending had me wanting more.

Was this terrible? No.
Was it great? No.
Would I try another book by Crystal Collier? Yes.

There were definitely elements of this story I liked. Grumpy/sunshine, boss/employee, billionaire/woman surviving. It has good tropes and potential but it just didn’t feel flushed out for me. The moments where they seemed to be going deep, getting to know each other felt rushed and the ending felt very abrupt to me.

I did however enjoy the banter, the name calling felt flirty not at all mean. They both seemed to calm each other in one way or another which was nice. It probably just should have been longer to give it more development.

Nice read

This is my first read by this author and I have to say, I really enjoyed this. Two things I didn't like was that I never knew the age of the characters and i didn't even pay attention until the secret was divulged A one point its said she left her parents as an adult and did date till she was I. her twenties but when the secret was divulged it was said (if I remember) that she was kicked out when she was 16. That would put her around mid 30's since she said it had been almost 2 decades. I think age is important when it comes to the characters' behavior. The Clarissa situation was weird. Would've liked to have gotten more of them in the future.

good but missing something

This was a good read Kaz went from being hard core love them and leave them to I’m feeling a connection Sadi I’m willing to change quick for Xoey.. though the plot was good the drama with Clarissa seemed one sided even when she was caught abusing authority, now both of their traumas were explained near the end of the book so it felt like just enough detail was given to explain their trauma.it felt like I had to read in between the lines (ijs)..so needed an epilogue.

Good story but....

First time reading a book from this author. The story was really good. I loved the storyline, but the ending was not so good. The ending came all of sudden. It felt like it was in the middle of the story, and the author just decided to just end the story. It seems like a lot is missing from the story. This is the reason for 3 stars because the ending could have been better.

What?!!! Terrible

This book lacked in character development which made the story unappealing. Xoey wanted him to open up so bad but was holding secrets back of her own until they came knocking at her door literally. Where was the backstory and the therapists that were needed? A whole grown kid? No context!! No closure on anything! This was a terrible read with no climax, no real ending and lot of smart mouth folks!

Brew

Some like a splash of cream, some two spoons of sugar or just plain black coffee. Opposite attracts a storm could be brewing within that only positivity energy can calm. We don’t have to be our childhood trauma moving forward letting go of the past and the pain will open our paths to a broader future.

So So Good!

This was so good! Kaz old mean self was something else. But my girl definitely tamed him. I love the character growth that took place between all of them without changing who they truly are at heart. I would love a follow up novella or spinoff about Ramik just to see how they are doing.

I could not connect to the characters of this book at all which resulted in my putting the book down around 83%. Maybe because I didn’t finish it (?) but there were things within the story that were not connecting nor fleshed out enough for the story.

I’d definitely consider reading the author’s later works though.

Whewww

Omg Kazimir was definitely a bully but I love how Xoey was able to keep get him together when need be. I didn’t like Clarissa or whatever her name was, she was miserable and the tables definitely turned on her. I’m hoping for and update, maybe they get married and have family and Xoey has a relationship with her son and start her business helping the elderly.

Good Book But Needed More Exposition

This is a really good book. I’m not giving it 3 stars because it’s bad. I actually really like it. But it could stand some more exposition. For the page length, I get it, but had things been fleshed out more, this would have gotten a higher rating from me

Good Read.

This was my first time reading from this author. However, the story was put together very carefully. I enjoyed the character development and this author writing style. I would be reading from this author again.

Taming for sure

I enjoyed reading this. Jury still out on Kaz but he was growing on me. Xoey was surely a determined young lady with her goals set and was able to be herself. I wasn’t ready for it to end though🤷🏽‍♀. Great book.

Happy Reading‼️

⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The book was well written and I loved how the “Bully redeemed himself. Definitely a must read. The only thing I would’ve loved to see was more of the ending. Nonetheless, at least there was some closure.

Love Me, Love Me Not

Loved the story, but thought the author could of tied up the loose ends.
I really hope she writes another book about Kaz and Xoey's love affair.

Good Read

This book was good. The only issue I have is that it was to much detail on somethings. I really like Xoey. I didn't like Kazimir at first he was a bully to me. I am glad Xoey did not take no mess from him. I am happy they found love with each other.

Good read

This could’ve been a great read but I feel like not enough was shared about Xoey’s past life. The ending felt rushed which more time could’ve been put into it. It was a good read though.

1.5

I love a good bully romance but this was so flat and boring. The writing was choppy and the story didn't flow well. I did like the ideas and the potential for what this could have been.

Not going to lie Kaz had me about beat his ass. He redeem himself somewhat. Childhood traumas are no joke, it’s always best to seek out help. Overall a good read.

past trauma

It’s sure thing that hurt people sometimes hurt people. Our childhood has an impact on our future. We have to deal with old hurts to let the right one love us.

I agree with some other reviews that the story just ended! The storyline had so much potential, but the author just threw something together and the publisher just went with it.
