Dylan St. James Omegaverse

Dylan St. James: Omega Revealed

Rate this book
My secret’s out.

At least to the three men to whom it matters most.

The Bryce Pack—Austin, Seth, and Cameron.

They say I’m theirs. My body agrees, but I refuse to let my omega biology dictate my life. As soon as I can get my hands on those suppressants, the Bryce Pack’s omega mate will disappear, and Dylan the beta will get back to regularly scheduled programming.

We have a conspiracy to dismantle and missing girls to find, after all.

But the boys refuse to give me up as they inch their way slowly but surely into my life. They’re making it all but impossible not to fall for them a little bit more every single day.

The problem? These boys need to understand one thing.

I’m Dylan St. James, and I belong to nobody but me.

This is a New Adult, M/M/F/M Omegaverse romance. It is Book 2 in a duology and completes Dylan’s story. As always with my books, this is for readers age 18+ and contains a ton of foul language, steamy scenes, and violent themes. Happy reading!

Oh Hold, 6% MMC acting way too OOT and dramatic for having just dropped the FMC recently now they are not sounding natural at all. There’s just no tension. Can’t get into it. Maybe I’ll come back to it when I’m in the mood.

DNF At around 3 hours from the end of the book

After the guys and Dylan got together this kinda lost the spark for me. I just don't care enough about the trafficking omega plot to keep with it. It's low-key kinda sorta boring me, which is unfortunate because this was going so well up to now. I'm starting to dread listening to this so I'm going to call it here. I still intend to check out the next book in this series since we'll be changing heroine's and be meeting a different pack. Finger's crossed it's good!

“Blossom, you’re right that I don’t give a single fuck what you decide to be as long as you decide to be mine.

The Dylan St. James duet has easily become one of my top OV reads. I loved everything about it the danger, the redemption, the building spice It is an easy one-sitting binge-read.

I cannot put into words how much I love the FMC, Dylan. Despite her designation, she is a true BA. She learns that she can still be the same Dylan, running into danger to save other Omegas while being a bonded Omega herself. All her earlier fears of being a smothered, pampered, hidden pack Omega are proven wrong. Her men are perfect for her.

Cam once again earns top billing of the pack members, but the Alpha brothers sure made strong showings. Cam is just so deliciously sexy and naughty. That he’s a Beta and loves Dylan for who she is (not because of some biological impulse) makes him all the yummier.

This book is a faster-burn and steamier read than book one. There are MF, MM, and group scenes that include many of the OV goodness of knots, slick, scenting, bonding bites, and more.

Omega Revealed concludes Dylan’s story.

I highly recommend this duet! 10/10

Genre: Contemporary Omegaverse Romance
Tropes/Features: Dystopian vibes with some dark themes, scent matches/fated mates, KA omega in hiding FMC, security team pack, sexy beta, established MM in pack, bonding, twins, vigilante, secrets/betrayal, danger
Narrator: Multiple 1st Person POV
Relationship Type: Why Choose MMFM, fast burn, spicy
Book Type/Ending: Part two of duet, HEA

Normally I avoid Omegaverse. Some of them have to much bodily fluids for me. And they are all about the smut. The only Omegaverse book I loved so far was The Pack Darling Series.
The blurb of Dylan St. James sounded like this Duet would have a plot. And I already read the four books in Elizabeth Dear's A Knight's Revenge Universe. So I gave it a try but waited until shortly before the second book was released last Friday.

I really love the plot and the relationship building. The first book was a very slow relationship building. I love Dylan the FMC and also the MMCs. There are great side characters and also great evil people.

The story is simple: Dylan and her family rescue abused omegas. One of the packs who abused their Omega hired the younger Bryce Pack to find their kidnapped Omega. Somehow they follow a trail and find Dylan in her families shop. They are drawn to her. Turns out that things are different than the facts presented to the Bryce's.....

The second book has more steam than the first book. But the author never forgets the plot. Finally Dylan's secret is out. At least Cam, Austin and Seth know that Dylan is their sent matched Omega. But how to reveal this to the world and does Dylan want a Pack? Her greatest fear is that she can't be the person she was before, because the Alphas want her to stay at home in her nest. Will she take a risk and will it work out?

I was highly entertained by this Duet and finding something as good as this one is kind of hard. This will go on my all time favorites list.

Surface level story with too ‘perfect characters and no stakes.

There was no depth to the characters or storyline. It was all very straight forward. The good guys were supper supper amazingly perfect, and the bad guys were very very bad. Everyone loved Dylan of course because she’s so amazing and they all loved happily ever after. It was too simple. Not to mention the outside conflicts just worked out perfectly every time. I think the violence in this book was too much. Not in the sense that I couldn’t handle it but it didn’t seem to match. They were these every day guys doing terrible things, but they were killing and torturing like it was nothing. It just didn’t really fit. Lastly, the same issue I had with the last book, the dialog tended to come off immature and cringy. I believe different generations would speak differently but everyone in the book regardless of their age talked like a teenager. It is a personal pet peeve of mine so this really bothered me.

Re: Epilogue III

I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!

I changed my opinion on this book from 3 to 4 stars solely due to epilogues II & III.

I'm not even sorry that I think Daisy & Derrick together will eventually be freaking electric.

And I love Seraphina more than I love Dylan.

Come to think of it, I love Daisy AND Seraphina BOTH more than Dylan.

Elizabeth Dear, if you ever read this, just know I'm kind of feral for both those stories so long as you don't change a thing about either Daisy or Seraphina.

Let me just start by saying I freaking LOVED this duet! Elizabeth Dear is one of my favorite authors because I know I can always count on her to give me a great story that won’t be overshadowed by spice. I feel like it’s really easy for the romance aspect of omegaverse stories to completely eclipse the overall plot due to the needs that come with being an omega but I think it was well balanced here. There was quite a bit of spice but I was loving every second of it because after having the tension and overall relationship build for almost a book and a half I wanted ALL of that pay off! 🤣🤌🏻 And can I just say how perfect the whole Dylan finally giving in scene was? I couldn’t have imagined a more picturesque moment of Dylan accepting her men if I had tried, I was just about ready to cry tears of happiness! 🥹 And seeing those boys go fully feral for Dylan on multiple occasions? I was in literal heaven, I never wanted it to end! This group was made for each other and I couldn’t have been happier with how everything worked out for them! 🥰

My other favorite part of the book was all of the family vibes, THEY WERE EVERYTHING! It felt like coming home the whole time I was reading and just about every interaction between the St. James and Bryce families gave me the warm fuzzies. I am a huge sucker for any sort of found family so I was living for them form the ultimate (savage when appropriate/necessary) rescue team! Words cannot describe how much I adored banter and bromance between the men of the families and how supportive but also protective all of the Bryces were of Dylan’s family and their choices.

I was so sad when we finally made it to the end because I didn’t want it to be over but those epilogues had me feeling every freaking emotion on my way out! First, I was so proud to see how far Dylan had come on her journey of self-acceptance as an omega, then I was beyond freaking hyped to see Sera take the first step on her own journey to get stronger, and then I crash landed from those highs reading the last epilogue where my heart absolutely shattered into a million tiny pieces for Daisy. Those few pages about Sera and Daisy have me ready to beg for both of their stories! Like, I will do whatever is needed for them because I am THAT desperate. Thank goodness Elizabeth took pity on us and has already announced that she’s currently working on Sera’s story! I already loved her character because she was the definition of iconic but seeing her get serious about taking control of her life has me curious to see what else Elizabeth has planned for her story! 👀

If you’re someone who has always wanted to try omegaverse but wasn’t sure if it was for you I would highly recommend this duology, it has all the elements you would expect to find but in an omegaverse setting but isn’t overwhelming! I think this duet has officially kickstarted the return of my omegaverse era and I’m not even mad about it! 🤭

*sigh*
The first one was too good; this one was such a let down in comparison.
The pacing is all off. We ended Book 1 with Dylan being staunchly anti-bond, anti-pack. Not to say that I never wanted her to come around, but it seems like she caved so fast and they were bonded instantly. I wanted more drama and tension - something to hold them back, or at least to get in the way. By halfway, they were bonded and happy. The story and plot take a huge backseat to some mediocre smut (for omegaverse anyway). I honestly ended up skimming the last few chapters because I was bored and just wanted to be done.

At least the car chase was interesting and Dylan didn't deviate from her badassery. If anything, the guys are the ones who got unbearably emotional.

Nice, glad things were sorted quickly. I was worried for a moment the omega stuff would take over. Instead, Dylan remained herself and the guys although more protective, didn’t get in her way. The parent’s reaction was great. This was a fun mission based one that made the bonding feel secondary. Given the strengths and support, it felt like a safe one where the characters could handle themselves. Looking forward to Seraphina’s story.

Alright so, I did like this book. There were some really good moments throughout.
But…I really feel like this duology could have been edited down to just the one book and it would’ve had much better pacing. There was just a lot of unnecessary pages that I think would’ve benefited from a decent editor cutting it down a bit.
It was a good time otherwise though.

SO MANY SCREAMS WERE SCRUMPT AND ALL THE FISTS WERE PUMPED READING THIS STORY!!

Elizabeth never fails to write the most amazing badass female main characters and Dylan was no exception. She totally kicked butt, constantly saved her self, and didn’t need no man. Lucky for her though her mocha milkshake brought all the boys to the yard and she found some amazing alpha and beta man candy haha.

I loved the relationship between the group. They were all so loving and completely apologetic for the mistakes they made in the first book. I was so happy Dylan forgave them and loved the way she publicly claimed them.

I can’t decide which guy I love more. Austin had that delicious grumpy, possessive vibe going on, Seth was a little softer but still very alpha, and Cam was a cocky little sweetheart. I loved that they all truly loved Dylan but also trusted her to make her own decisions and keep kicking butt.

I also loved how well their families blended together! The banter was top-tier and it was great that everyone was an equal part of the team, exclusive of gender. Heather in particular was just as awesome and you can definitely see where Dylan got it from!

One thing I didn’t like was how quickly the bad guy was dispatched. Imo he definitely deserved a lot more pain rather than a quick death haha. I did appreciate how much fun the dads all took in taking down the donors and making their life miserable af.

Overall this was a fun; fast-paced spicy omegaverse with plenty of sass and banter and I absolutely cannot wait for the next story! I have a feeling it’s going to be a doozy 😍

I enjoyed this duopoly very much. As with Dear's other books, there is definitely some OTT happenings (the only LE reference is an officer asking about omega status? Not the killing of so many people?) I liked that this series/storyline kept to too books. I felt the last series I read by this author stretched on too long and became a bit more ridiculous the longer the story went. Can't wait to read Sara's story.

Seriously love this world and these characters. This author is still so good at family bonds and friendships. And the relationships between the MMCs were so sweet.

I was initially disappointed because the grovel was non-existent. Like she immediately took them back, even if she told herself in her head it was begrudgingly (yeah right). And I know this author can do grovel well because I've read her Mave Fortune book and her Knight's Revenge series. It was disappointing because one of their reasons for abandoning her (because she's a beta and not an omega) after swearing they'd always be there for her was her biggest fear. And they did nothing initially to show her it would be any different, but she wanted them because her omega wanted them.

However, their relationship was so sweet and perfect that I didn't even care anymore by halfway through. And it doesn't matter by then anyway. The main focus of this book is finding and rescuing the missing omegas, and their support of each other, along with the support of their families made for such a good book.

This world and its injustices felt real, and I was rooting so hard for them to circumvent them every step of the way. The FMC is strong and caring and badass, and I loved the way she came into herself as an omega while still asserting her ability to function as part of the team.

And after the epilogues giving us a glimpse of what's to come for Seraphina and Daisy, I have no patience and want to dive back into this world. Now I have to suffer until we finally get Daisy and Derrick's story, which has been building since book 1. I am dyinggggggg for it!!!

What a fantastic conclusion to this duology!

The plot was on point, the spice was spicing (mmmm, loved Cam's dirty talk, it was a-plus!) and I enjoyed greatly how everything was tied up in the end. I also loved how Dylan's job wasn't done by the end of the book and her pack was all-in on further action as well. Love, love, love. I'm still in love with the characters and the plot is just something that works for me so well. Ms Dear might be on her way to my favorite author list (she definitely is).

My heart breaks for Daisy though, I did suspect something of the kind that was revealed in the end, and I hope one day we get to see her story. And I can't wait for Sera's story, I'm already hooked with that teaser.

This duet is amazing!! It's a fresh take on Omegaverse with fantastic characters, main and side, and I loved seeing Dylan achieve her HEA. Cam will melt your heart like butter with his wit, and along with Seth and Austin, they make everything up to their Omega, wooing her and making her theirs. This story is going on my re-read list for future comfort reading. I can't wait to see where Derrick's love saga takes us one day!

so happy for Dylan

I’m so sad and happy at the same time that Dylan got everything she deserved and also going to miss her. There was a lot of spice in this book and I was so there for it . Not only that but there were suspenseful scenes. Dylan is one omega people shouldn’t mess with and to finally accept herself was pretty awesome. I can’t wait to see what’s is coming up for serephina Bryce.

Omg.

Read it. Finallllyyyy an author that can pen 🖊 an omega verse novel with a heroine who has a full layered identity outside of her designation, who doesn’t fucking melt into a puddle just because “OMG MATES.

There’s an actual plot that actually mirrored a lot of very real issues we face in our own society today from a government that is passing laws to control women’s ownership over their own bodies to “alpha bros that want to “put women in their place.

Dylan’s struggles were relevant and I loved that she was able to acknowledge the truth of her attraction to these men and in the same breath let us know that she will absolutely, not ever compromise her self worth, values or purpose to be with them.

The inability of a lot of omegaverse authors to do that kind of ruins a lot of books that have decent plots otherwise.

10/10 would recommend. Looking forward to see how part 2 plays out.

DNF. RH omegaverse. It was too good to be true for the second book to be good also, I guess.
Right from the start I noticed the plot had taken a backseat in this book, something I didnt like because I love a good plot - it keeps the books entertaining between the romance and orgasms.
The second thing I noticed was that the smut, when it happened, was pretty boring. And cockblocking. I get that omega’s are precious and that she wasn’t in heat but her body is made to crave multiple knots. I get the desire to want to sit comfortably, but there’s also something to say about not feeling anything? 😂 I guess that’s not true, but it was how I felt during the scene.
I read a little more but I stopped caring because there was increasing repetition when pov’s switched, the plot was mostly gone and i didnt feel any sexual attraction between the characters anymore.

Dylan continues to kickass and take names 👏 They’ve taken down the bad guys and I couldn’t be happier.

Well, actually, I wouldn’t say no to getting Seraphina’s and Daisy’s stories ASAP. I think both girls have stories worth telling. So fingers crossed the authors pulls through 🤞

Review for the duet together.

A fun, fast-paced omegaverse RH thriller. I've greatly enjoyed Elizabeth Dear's other series and this is no exception. I do so love a dark world/fluffy romance combo, and this one delivers.

This is one of those omegaverses that is institutionally dark--rather than a post-apoc/breakdown of the rule of law world, this world strictly regulates (or tries to) omegas in a world where beta birthrates are dropping and alphas will fight to the death over an unbonded omega. The government requires registration and 'assigns' omegas to packs when they come of age. Of course, the rules for the rich and the poor are vastly different in practice. I loved watching the richboy Bryce pack (two alphas and a beta)--who had been raised in a happy and loving pack and whose omega sister is protected in a fancy academy where she's allowed to delay her heat and gain an education--learn that poor omegas have no such protections and are often placed with abusive cruel packs against their will.

Dylan is an omega who has hidden her designation since puberty. Her use of suppressants allowed her to grow taller and leaner than omegas usually do, and her former military alpha dad and beta mom have trained her well. She works in her family hardware store by day, and by night rescues omegas from abusive packs. She crosses paths with the Bryce pack when their security firm is hired to find and retrieve one of the omegas she's rescued. Only she's out of suppressants and they smell super good...

A sweet love story with fully committed men who pamper the heroine while respecting her wishes and her bodily autonomy. Add some fun action sequences and bad guys getting their comeuppance and I swoon.

I didn't think it could get better than the first book and Elizabeth Dear proved me so wrong. This book from the very beginning had me hooked and it was amazing.

I absolutely love Dylan. I love her strength, her personality, her protectiveness. She doesn't hesitate to put herself in danger when it comes to protecting her family and other people in danger. I was so proud when she finally decided to live her life as the Omega she was born to be. Her embracing herself was fantastic.

Seth, Cam and Austin were everything. They loved Dylan and all they wanted was for her to finally give them a chance. Once she did it was so explosive. They have so much love for her and they didn't shy away from showing it to her.

What was going on behind the scenes definitely had me at the edge of my seat. There was a lot of fighting, bullets and blood. Both Dylan and her mens family were so deadly it was soooo good seeing them in action. I absolutely love everyone in their family.

One thing about this author is that she's gonna do it for me every time. I loved this book with everything in me.

I cant wait till we get sera, daisy and Derrick story 💗💗

Yeah, so you’re telling me that what because they’re your Saint match and faded mates. If you will that we could just completely forget that they left you.

There is no real gravel. It is just expected that she’ll get over it because why wouldn’t she smell good?
And they just go hard-core for her because she’s an omega

I know that they make it seem like they liked her in the last book and that they wish that they could’ve been with her, but the fact of the matter is they did not choose her
They didn’t choose her then and they’re not really choosing her now they’re choosing biology and she just lets it happen

I genuinely enjoy Cam and Daisy. I think their humor is amazing. I think the writing style was well done. I also think that the FMC had genuine bad ass moments in the first book and some in the second book, but if you’re going to make me this frustrated at all of the MMC’s then you need to make them work for it.

Don’t give me a female character that genuinely is bad ass, but also is weak in the sense of not standing up for herself
It doesn’t make any sense it makes me frustrated and instantly I hate it

The only reason that isn’t one star is because of Daisy

So this is probably another new favorite omegaverse duet for me. I absolutely ate this up and LOVED the story.

The biggest selling point of this story is the banter between all the characters and the comfort and connections between all the main characters, but also the side characters, their family. It's so good and I absolutely adored the dynamic of everyone coming together and such.

Jericho, my man, I freaking love him. The feral but protective and unhinged daddy. YES PLEASE.

Again, my biggest complaint is some plot holes when it comes to the business and mission aspects. So many times I'm like, well that's not how that would happen, or how did that even work out. I feel like drama was created and then it just got solved quickly with either no explanation or the explanation just wouldn't work that way. So if you're looking for accuracy in that department, this plays out more like a ridiculous action movie.

All I all, phenomenal omegaverse duet. And I cannot wait for seraphina's story next and eventually Daisy!

I was slightly disappointed by the ending in this one. It was all slow and steady in the beginning but then suddenly everything started happening like and avalanche. But still the character development was good and the plot stayed pretty steady and true through out the whole thing hence why this book is getting 4.5 stars from me.

I do wish the ending was dragged out a little more and I really hope the author will be true to her promise to return later to do some of the other characters stories. I for one would like to read Daisy's story. She seems like such a fun character and her conflicting feelings are the perfect drama my life needs.

But as I said in the first books review, LOVE this omegaverse. It's easy to follow and doesn't have too much of that over fantasised vibe to it. Even though I do love my fantasy, I do also have my limits to it.

Fan-flipping-tactic! This ending was perfect! I loved this duet and I’m absolutely dying for more of the series!!!

I’m still so blown away by the book that I don’t have words! In Elizabeth’s fashion, she writes an amazing characters! FMC that are strong and independent! And the men, who are all alpha, possessive and protective and yet so supporting!

I can definitely see myself rereading this duet very soon! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 The duet ends with not just one, not two but three epilogues! I’m so happy to have had Cam’s POV during Dylan’s heat! I just love him!! Sera’s book is going to be amazing and I can’t wait to see what comes from it! But Daisy’s book, her story is going to be just mind blowing after that mic drop!

I loved this kick-ass heroine and her strong and tough men who were so sweet to her. I do think this could have been re-worked to be 1 long book that was much more powerful. The sequel just felt like it dragged on a bit too long, but I really enjoyed their chemistry, story and world-building. I will definitely come back for Sera and Daisy’s stories.
