Marooned in a strange galaxy thousands of light-years from home, Captain Leonie Strider and the crew of the "Santa Maria" must join the fight against the new Emperor - Kaantalech. An even older danger threatens to destroy them all.
With longer chapters, and somewhat dry portions at times, this book was considerably harder to get through than the first one. Add to that the ending, and it's easy to see why this book was a disappointment for me. I was really looking forward to the same fantastic action and great reading we saw in the first book (strider's galaxy) and to some degree, it did deliver that, but not to the same degree as the first book in the series. I'd still recommend it to folks that want to follow Strider and her adventures, but just don't expect the same quality found in the first book.
