Love.
For some, love is the reason they get up each day and take life by the horns. The knowledge that someone out there is made just for them inspires greatness each day. For others, it is another four-letter word that brings forth bad memories and bouts of sadness. The past chases and plagues them.

Within these pages, twelve brave souls open up their hearts and share their experiences so that others might learn that it is not the end of a relationship that defines you, but what you learn from that end.

An anthology of stories and poems from New and seasoned authors. I cried while reading several of the stories. There is such a wide range of stories that everyone will find at least one author they will be following from this day forward. I have some favorites and new authors on my must have list. All profits go toward MAP. Read and help others!

Even though I have a story and a poem within this touching anthology, I HAD to read & review it.
First I have to say I'm absolutely honored to have been a part of such a beautiful set of minds sharing their stories and poetry with all to help raise money for an amazing cause (MAP international).
Each story is original, touching and voiced completely different from the other and yet they each fit the anthology so perfectly. As if a puzzle that's meant to be without conscience thought.
Some stories will bring you back in time to reminisce of your very own Best Thing... Others will bring you to tears and touch your heart deep. You'll also get a few laughs and some head shakes right along with the enjoyment a good book brings to its reader(s).
I hope everyone else enjoys The Best Thing I Never Had anthology as much as I did :)

I truly enjoyed these stories of love and the giant quest for it. This shows the debts people will go to in order to find the illusive "One". These stories are real and raw and full of emotion. With 12 different people sharing their steps in life to find their love and how it feels.

I have to say this is the absolute first time I have read an anthology. What did I get out of it you ask? A wonderful set of authors writing a fantastic array of poetry and short stories. I cried, I chuckled, I ugly cried. I would tell you I have a favorite but no, I loved them all. Kudos to every one of you, and I think I have some new people I shall stalk. I recommend this book highly!

I do have a short story in this anthology, but I wanted to read and review for all the other amazing authors I shared this journey with.
The Best Thing I Never Had is filled with beautiful poetry and heartfelt short stories that will draw readers in and keep them there. Each piece is an emotional trip through love with all of its highs and its lows. I am so blessed to have been able to have been able to be a part of this lovely anthology alongside such talented authors.
