Twelve follows the story of Matthew Blake, an Army Ranger who gets dragged into chaos by mysterious serial killer Tim Griffin. In a matter of hours Matthew's life changes forever as he's framed for an attack on the government and forced to go on the run. With no help or resources, he heads back home where he unexpectedly reunites with an old friend. Together they set out to clear Matthew's name, and face down Griffin. Along the way they encounter an ancient society, supernatural relics, and information surrounding the unexplained death of Matthew's father.
David Russell is a long-time member of the arts community in Vancouver. He has worked on stage and television, including performing as a company member with the Vancouver TheatreSports League for more than 15 years. Russell has written freelance for a number of publications, including Maclean's, Vancouver's Sun and Province, the award-winning online news site The Tyee, and others. He lives in Burnaby, British Columbia.
