I have read several novels by these sister authors, but I think this is the first short story I have read by them and I am so delighted I found it. The writing is great and the story has just the right twist that is what makes a short story work. Roan Gage is a budding artist who had one successful book but then his career went stagnate. Darien Port is famous for his books. When Darien calls Roan, of course Roan wants to see what Darien has to offer. What Roan doesn't realize are what hidden secrets Darien really has.
