The plot continues to thicken, the sex just gets hotter and hotter, and this series just gets better and better!
If it wasn't clear from my review of , I'm seriously hooked on this series. I knew that Deviant was going to be the start of a dark and twisted ride, and fuck was I right.
Zeth never wanted to believe that his employer, no matter how corrupt he is, would have something to do with the disappearance of Sloane's sister or the flesh trade. But when an assignment that he gets sent on by him proves just that and so much more, he's thrown for a loop. Not only does it looks like he's been lying to him about all his 'businesses', but it looks like he may have also betrayed Zeth in the worst of ways those few years ago when he served time in Chino. A way that Zeth never thought he would. And now he's determined to find out the truth. Determined to protect Sloane and Lacey at all costs, he leaves Lacey on Sloane's doorstep with his men watching them and takes off to find his answers.
Sloane still can't believe just how deep she's fallen into Zeth's web. Babysitting Lacey shouldn't be too tough, even considering her fragile mental state. But when two men break into her house in the middle of the night to kidnap Lacey, she has no choice but to run straight to the man that she knows will protect her even though he still terrifies her...Better the devil you know.
Their chemistry, as always, is absolutely undeniable. These two seriously burn up the sheets together. I can't get enough of Zeth's intensity. The man's tastes definitely run on the darker side, but on man is it delicious.
Then every now and then you get a peak into a more fragile man inside the tough as hell persona...
Though I'm still trying to figure out what it is that he has against kissing.
I devoured this book in one sitting. Between all the action and plot twists, I couldn't seem to stop reading. For every thing that gets answered, you get a million more questions. What is Zeth's boss hiding from him? What is the connection that Lacey has to his past? Who is Rebel and what happened to Sloane's sister? What the hell happened the night that Zeth got arrested for murder?
Through all this, Sloane's backbone just continues to grow. The woman has one smart mouth on her, and she definitely gives as good as she gets....well...almost anyway...
I don't care how cocky or demanding the man is. Who in their right mind can say no to him?
Now jumping straight into because I need answers dammit!!

As good as the first book and it made me more curious about the questions that I don’t have their answers! It’s a quick-good read and well-written with some dark elements but actually not really Dark. Told in dual POV, 1st person. It’s the second installment in the "Blood & Roses" series and it should be read in order. Overall, I enjoyed it and hope you like it as well!

Dark, suspenseful and scorching hot - this series is highly addictive.
In Fracture we learn more about Zeth's past, and Sloane is one step closer to finding her sister. Things are escalating, and I can't wait to see what is in store for these two!

4 lucky charm STARS
This is going to be as quick as humanly possible. I had very limited reading time the last few days and I just want to get on with this series, find out what happens next and get more one on one reading time with bad boy Zeth. That man has seriously stolen my heart.
He is so deliciously naughty and ruthless. *sigh*
So, Fracture pretty much picks up right where we left off with Deviant. Sloane is pressed against a wall and Zeth has his hand down her pants. BOOYAH!
After that, things turn a little more crazy and unpredictable. Zeth is trying to juggle one disaster after the other. His boss Charlie is major trouble and until now he had no clue whatsoever. He is trying to find Alexis, Sloane's sister and just in general Zeth's world is a bit upside down at the moment.
Sloane on the other hand is ignorant to the development at first, until a case at the hospital opens her eyes about Zeth. Naturally, she is pissed for a lot of reasons and then he leaves her with Lacey, his suicidal 'room mate'. Major drama!
But to be perfectly honest, I was just sitting there waiting to get back to the juicy parts.
In the meantime...
What can I say? I freaking love this series so far. It has all the things I love. Action, mystery, crime, kick-ass main characters and damn hot kinky scenes on top.
I really appreciated how Ms. Hart broadened the picture here, gave us a few glimpses into the past, answered questions I had burning in my mind and dropped some rather big bombshells in the process. All in all, a great second part in the series.
Give me more!
Also, I swear I'm going to review every single book in this series, even if it is the last thing I will ever do. On to the next one...

This is probably the best novella in this series yet.
Fracture picks up right where Deviant left off. Sloan is still looking for her sister, and Zeth is determined to help find her. With some hot smutty scenes in between, I found this book quite riveting. Unlike the first book, this one is in my opinion was heavily plot based. We're given a deeper and more detailed look into Zeth's occupation.
Sloan is torn about her feelings for him, but cannot resist his wicked charm and stellar techniques in the bedroom, or wherever it is that he takes her. A huge secret is revealed, I mean huge. It gave the book an amazing twist.
Zeth with his devious mind and dirty mouth had me swooning all over. The fact that he has become terribly possessive of Sloan added to the allure.
The ending was amazing, yes it was a cliffhanger but it was an absolutely delicious one.
I can't wait to read more about Zeth and his bag of tricks...

This woman is having a seriously fucked up effect on me. I can’t afford to be this distracted by her. She’s consuming every single waking moment of my day, when I need to remain focused on the task at hand.
Zeth is determined to help Sloan locate her sister. And this leads him on an adventurous trip, dealing with an MC club. But then he learns that his own life is in danger...from his mobster boss, Charlie! Damn what a crazy action packed ride this episode turns out to be as we are introduced to Julio. Another badass gangsta, big into the human slave trade.
The ending is just perfect! Zeth and Sloane are in one hell of a mess and I can't wait to see how they get out of it!! Book three is already downloaded and I can't read it fast enough!!

4 "Angry Girl" STARS
Okay, I've got a problem. I've met a man. A seriously hot, all alpha, dominant male. His name is Zeth. I'm sure you're thinking and the problem is...?
I MUST have him among my top ten book boyfriends BUT the roster is full. I can’t kick off any of my other BBFs!
So, here’s what I’m going to do…add Zeth to my newly expanded Top 15! Yes, I know, I’m a BFF Slut but I own it.
I simply can't get enough of this series! I absolutely love both Zeth and Sloane and the darkness,the danger and the scorching hot sex and combustible connection between Zee and Sloane!!
In this second novella, we discover a lot more about Zeth with glimpses into his past and his relationship with Charlie. But there are still A LOT of unanswered questions. I also really like Lacey and I think I know her connection to Zeth, or at least I hope I'm right. Nevertheless, her presence and how Zeth protects her says a lot about him.
And Zeth and Sloane continue their dance, their tug of war while both fighting valiantly to leave their emotions buried deep.
“Yes,� he exhales. “You can trust me. You gave yourself to me back at my apartment; I’ve never done it before, but I gave myself in return. I may not have wanted to, Sloane, but I didn’t have a fucking choice in the matter. That means we belong to each other now. And it means I’ll come back for you soon.�
These two are so unpredictable yet they mesh and they're both strong and stubborn in their own ways. But when they are together, they are also on fire...
the passion, the dominance and the tenderness is all there...
and the submission.
Zeth is truly struggling to keep it together but Sloane does something to him that he can't control..
“She ran straight for me like I’m her goddamn savior. Like I’m capable of fixing everything. Like I’m capable of protecting her. Like I’m whole enough to help fill in the broken, fractured pieces of her, too. And then she went and held me in her arms like that. Fuck...Just for a second there…it felt like she might be capable of gluing me back together, too."
And Sloane is the same way. Most of the time she's angry at Zeth but once within his presence, she can't deny him.
I consumed this book like a junkie does crack! Not only is there a couple that's so dynamic and alluring that Im'm heavily invested in them, there's also the action, the twists and turns, the suspense and the hope that keeps me riveted!
I have so many questions and so many possibilities for future books. I. need. more. Zeth!! Moving onto next book!

Oh, you wanted a review and not my daydreaming... Zeth is sent to execute a man that's been disloyal to his crime boss, Charlie. In fact, Charlie, who's he's worked for years to protect and serve, is responsible for framing him for murder and landing him in Chico prison. How did he not put 2+2 together? Coupled with Charlie being responsible for the human trafficking of young girls...of Sloane's sister...he's suddenly ready to step away. To make the wrongs right by Sloane's sister, Alexis. She's being held in a Mexican MC Club deep in the desert of SoCal. He will find her...for Sloane.
Sloane is taken back by her insane draw for this outlaw named Zeth. She's seen mug shots, spoken to police looking for him, but she can't resist his pull. What is she thinking? Yet, both their needs are animalistic. Zeth fights his growing attachment...won't kiss her. Why did he respond like that when she kissed him?

I think he underestimates Sloane. She's gotten quite bada$$ over the course of the past two books. But does Sloane have what it takes to make it in his dangerous world? Can Zeth rescue Alexis and somehow right some of the wrongs of his twisted lifestyle?
Fracture promises to give the reader pages filled with suspense, some darkness, and a whole lot of smexy animalistic "lovin'." Looking forward to where Ms Hart takes us in the Blood & Roses series.

I binged read this series over the last few days. They were addicting, so much so, that I’d finish a book and I wouldn’t even take the time to mark it finished on goodreads. I’d just move on to the next book. Referring to my reading experience as me being a crazed person wouldn't be an understatement.
With that said, I apologize because I had no idea that I wouldn’t be able to set the books down to review each one individually. Now that I’m done with the series I'm trying to remember what happened in certain books is hard because, to me, it’s one big story split into six books. To avoid devulging any spoilers I will keep this review brief.
During the course of these installments the character growth was brilliantly done. I loved all the characters... well except for the bad guys. Besides our hero and heroine (Zeth & Sloane) who I couldn't get enough of, my heart was captured by Lacey and Michael! Oh my gosh!! That’s a man I would like to get to know better. His loyalty, charm and swagger had me swooning to the very end! The world could use some more Michaels in it.
Holy hot tamales! The sexy times were off the charts! No worries they were throughout the whole series. Every man needs an inner Zeth when it comes to bedroom antics. *fanning myself*
Callie Hart has a new fan with me! When a book(s) can occupy my every thoughts that’s a winner for me. I’m lucky because this series was complete when I picked it up to read otherwise I would have gone nuts waiting for the next book.

Fracture Is the second installment in Callie Harts Blood & Roses series. I really enjoyed part one, Deviant But I have to say that Fracture grabbed my ass in the most unsuspecting way. The story line took off and totally grabbed me. It was gritty, exciting, and violent with some kick ass action added in. It was also EXTREMELY SEXY!
I can finally feel the need Sloane and Zeth have for each other. I LOVED the way Zeth went crazy over wanting to know what happened and where Sloane and Lacey were. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time Zeth was in Julio’s compound, wondering just what was going to happen. But what I LOVED most of all was the way Sloane became a kick ass heroine!
Lacey let a huge secret out of the bag confiding in Sloane as to why she needs Zeth so desperately in her life. I’m looking forwards to when Zeth finds out.
The SEXY scenes keep getting hotter. Zeth knows exactly what Sloane wants and needs even if she fights it only to cave in the end. Zeth is one sexy guy with a huge kinky streak, LOVEING IT and HIM!
In the end, we are left hanging as to just how Sloane and Zeth are going to get out of the mess there in and will they be able to rescue Sloane’s sister.
I’m so hooked in at this point the only thing I can possibly do is move onto Burn!

The Blood and Roses Series is a fast paced, action packed, steamy, testosterone driven read. The best thing about this series is the heroine Sloane and her damaged bad boy Zeth!

Fracture picks up directly after the first book Deviant. Zeth is in Sloane's apartment and he wants for Pippa (Sloane's best friend) to help his sister Lacey. Sloane is overcome with Zeth. She knows that he is bad news for her and yet she can't stay away. He could be the key to finding her sister. He is like a drug and she cannot say no! Their connection is off the charts! HOT!

I highly recommend this series to anyone that loves a dark hero and a strong heroine. The steam is high, the stories are short but not sweet. This series is amazing! Go ahead and download all 6 at once!

THREE STARS!
I've come to the realisation that when it comes to reading books, I can be hella stubborn. After three days of being stuck on the same page, the smart thing to do would have been to pop this one on hold and start another book. But what do I do? I force myself to read on and ended up not enjoying this one as much as I would have hoped.
Fracture is the continuation of Zeth and Sloane's story. He's still on the trail to finding Sloane's sister and Sloane's still working at the hospital, but has been asked to look after Lacey. Everything falls apart when two unknown assailants break into Sloane's house in an attempt to kidnap Lacey. On the run, Sloane and Lacey have one option left to them; find Zeth.
There were bits and pieces that I truly liked about this book. The insight into Zeth's childhood with his parents (my goodness, my heart clenched so hard reading about it), the revelation of who Lacey is, and the kidnap attempt and how Sloane and Lacey made such a kick-ass team; these are all things that I loved and worked brilliantly for me. I wished that most of the book had stayed at this level, but alas, most of the book fell flat for me.
I couldn't for the life of me enjoy the steamy times between Zeth and Sloane. Mainly because I couldn't get over Zeth acting like a little bitch. Honestly, I've never understood how a kiss could be deemed more intimate than having your dick inside someone. That has never made sense to me, so when Zeth decides to chuck a tanty over Sloane kissing him in the beginning of this book, it really put me in a bad mood for the rest of their interactions throughout the book. It didn't help that there was a lack of communication between them. They don't progress in their relationship at all, which not only annoyed me but hella froze my ovaries. They would not feel a thing, it was bloody arctic tundra whilst reading and all I wanted to do was punch Zeth in the face every time he smirked.
The other thing I was hoping for but didn't get was some action on Zeth's part. There was the tid bit at the beginning but most of it was just talk, so I was looking forward to Zeth getting down and dirty and collecting information on Sloane's sister. What we get instead is his lieutenant getting caught and interrogated in a basement somewhere while he gets smashed downing shots. The other thing was that I thought this book would come full circle, bringing us back to the opening scenes, but we didn't get any of that and I was left wondering what the point of that opening scene was.
So, I guess you can all tell that I wasn't Zeth's biggest fan in this book, huh?
Overall, this was an OK read. I was tossing up between two and three stars but ultimately went with three stars because I have to give credit to female gumption in the face of danger. I love love love when females are given the chance to take action in a book and give their enemies what-for, so Sloane and Lacey's double-team action really saved this book for me.
I'm not too sure if I'll continue with this series any time soon, but if you think the later books smash this one out of the water in terms of awesomeness, please let me know!

This darkly deviant series just keeps getting better and better and it’s so freakin� hot! Zeth is back in all his brooding glory, demanding and getting what he wants, walking the seamier side of life and throwing Sloane into a tailspin. She hardly knows what has hit her but Zeth is sweeping her off her feet and she’s powerless to resist this dark and ruthless man.

We get to find a little bit more about his past in Fracture and begin to understand how Lacey fits into the picture but we’ve still got a long way to go and we leave Zeth and Sloane in a situation where I just can’t wait to carry on.
This series is a collection of novellas which has just about everything you need to make up a sizzling erotic thriller � we have a missing woman, a super hot badass alpha hero, a slightly naive heroine, incredibly hot melt-your-ereader sex scenes, a pulsating plot and plenty of darkly fascinating characters stalking the sidelines of the story. Callie Hart seamlessly combines great eroticism with a thrilling plot line and this series is a joy and every new instalment eagerly awaited. I love it!

But damn is he hot!
sucks you right back into this story. Literally where we left it.
Yes it is again a short read , and you will get to the end and look for more pages. But there is none. No matter how many times you push your kindle on the right trying to turn the page... Just won't work...
It’s like your right on the edge of an orgasm and your Grandma knocks on the door or something. Just left like that. With no release. Yep another freaking cliffhanger! YOU WILL WANT TO KILL HER!

5 "I WANT TO BE ZETH'S ANGRY GIRL" STARS
Well.. WOW !!! Reading this book was like reading about my favourite show - Grey's anatomy but mixed with tons of action and steamy scenes !!!
I can't believe how much I am enjoyinggggg this series! I love everything about this books.. the story, the banters, the action (it's still new to me!) , the kinky sex....
Interesting fact:
- frozen pops and knifes wouldn't be the same for me anymore !!!!
Now about Zeth freaking Myfair:
I seriously LOVE this guy!!! And actually he is hilarious at times! His temper is something not to play with. The way he was with Sloan was sexy, yet intimidate. His imagination about kinky stuff was beyond mine for sure but I can't tell that I didn't enjoy every thing he used from his FAMOUS BLACK BAG ... heheee! I just know that there is soft part of him and only Sloane is capable to bring it out fo him! I want mooooore from him, some much more but basically I was like that:
Sloane a.k.a DO.NOT.TOUCH.ME.OTHERWISE.I.WILL.STAB.YOU.WITH.NEEDLE!
She is ah-mazing ! Never show weakness and never whine about ANYTHING! Zeth is becoming her soft spot and IT'S COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDBLE . I love how brave and smartass she was. Fight for her and Lacey when she needed to do that. She was complete badass in the hospital too which made me love her even more! 4 Here we go Stars
When I finished Deviant, I had to continue with Fracture. It’s mentioned these books are novellas and are part of a six book series. I don’t really see them as novellas, each book is pretty meaty. It’s kind of like each book is an episode and you never know what you are going to get.
Zeth isn’t pushing Sloane away anymore. He wants her and he always gets what he wants, even if he has to play dirty. That’s the thing I love about Zeth. I hate him because he’s mean, but I love that he does anything to get Sloane. He pushes her boundaries and the kink in this book still goes strong.
There’s not a lot of steamy parts, but the parts you get make up for it. It’s about quality not quantity.
Sloane tries hard to still be the good girl, but she’s slowly crossing some lines in order to make Zeth happy, meaning in order to get Zeth to continue looking for her sister. You also get more story on the secondary character’s, like Lacey, Zeth’s girl he takes care of, but there is zero attraction between the two. I really liked Lacey’s story and I hope to get more of her. She’s kind of this tortured soul with a secret past.
The banter between Zeth and Sloane still grow strong and as much as they fight each other, the chemistry is undeniable.
You also get more back story to Zeth and you see more of his past and what he does daily. This book also gets you steps closer to finding the sister.
I do think this one is a bit more descriptive than the first and I just wanted to get to the scenes if you know what I mean. I’m going to take a little break before I start the next one because of this. BUT I still like the series.

Once I got sucked in with the freebie (), I had to read more. So I thought, "Book #2, .99, that's not much". And then I found out I couldn't stop! These books are like potato chips, you simply can't stop at one! So now I see I have 4 more to read, at a cost of $2.99 each (very clever marketing ploy, every book ending on a cliffhanger)...I swear, if these books fall off in quality, I'm out of here. But somehow I don't think they will.
Kudos to the author for pulling this off. She can write a cliffhanger with the best of them. And what a unique concept. Imagine a character from Grey's Anatomy falling for a sexy hitman...I'd like to see this series as a movie or TV miniseries.:)
Anyway, enjoy seeing Zeth (especially Zeth) and Sloane falling for each other in one of the most unconventional romances I've ever read. 5 stars

4 different kind of fucked up stars
In Fracture Sloane is still in search of her sister. She still doesn't know where she is or who has her. She is confused of her relationship with Zeth. She feels her heart beating for him sometimes and other times she wants to strangle him to death, but she's really confused. She seems to question herself.

This book is panty-on-fire hot. Zeth can so talk the talk and fuck the rock (lol just made that up) that man is straight up SEXY.
“I wanna slide my hands up those thighs, Sloane. I wanna tear your clothes from your body and make you tremble. I want to dig my fingers and my teeth into your skin and make you scream my name. You want that, too, huh?�
I soooo want that zeth;)
Overall great book and can't wait to read the rest.

I wanted to like this. But there is literally no relationship development between the two main characters.
Sloane and Zeth don't know ANYTHING about each other. They barely even converse. They fuck, they yell, they grunt. And the storyline pretty much goes nowhere.
This, Deviant and the third installment after this could have just been all one book, but it's like everyone feels they HAVE to put out a trilogy.
Fuck you Shades of Gray, I blame you.
I honestly don't have interest in the third book. I don't even care what happens. Which sucks, because I really thought there was a lot of potential here.
If you want hot bdsm sex scenes though, read on!

This story just got so much more in depth with this second installment. I'm officially impressed! The romance between these two is inevitable, but the way they are going about it is completely endearing. I love that Zeth is so obviously confused as to what is so different about the good doctor. Nothing is swoonier than a tough badass guy losing it for his girl. This ended on a big cliffie :( but I guess I expect every installment in the series to.

4 Fracturing Stars!!!
Wanna know the best test of a great book to me? When you are still thinking about it 3 days after you finished it! And that is what Fracture did to me!! Short, hot, intense!! Fracture picks up right where Deviant left off. Sloane is persistently looking for her sister with the aide of Zeth. This book had all of the things that we are now coming to expect with this great new author; superb writing, intensity, action, and a hot as fuck main character in ZETH. What it did not have, at least for me, was enough of the deliciously hot sex that we got in Deviant. There were a couple scenes but not enough. Zeth and Sloane spend the majority of the book apart. Add that to the addition of many more secondary characters with not enough time spent with the ones we came to know in Deviant and I was left feeling a little on the disappointed side. I liked Fracture, but it didn't have the same magic for me that Deviant had.
Don't get me wrong though, this is a great series and I can't wait to see what lies ahead for these two in Burn. And like I said, Callie's writing is so wonderful, that giving this book any less than a solid 4 stars is just unimaginable!

So I completely want to 5 star the hell out of this...but honestly I am still sitting here pondering what in the blazes is happening! Callie Hart is killing me slowly with her beyond measures crazy hot alpha Zeth Mayfair!
I was left mouth hanging at the end of Deviant...I met a man...a killer...and compete enigma like no other I have read. I am not convinced I even like him, but I am completely intrigued. He is a puzzle that I cannot wait to put together...of course good upstanding doctor Sloan is in the same boat! Funny how libido and lust wins out over any kind of sanity!
Slowly Zeth's past and his persona is coming to into the light...what is turning up is not pretty. It is hard to even imagine whether or not he has a soul! I can see his fight as to his "feelings" toward sloan, but he just is not the least bit nice!
This is the second book unraveling a harsh tale with gritty subject matter. Family connections and betrayal, murder, drugs and sex trade, throw in some motorcycle club activity and a potential undercover police work and Fracture is set! Oh, and dont forget the hot dominant sex of Zeth and Sloan and this book is a clusterf*** of fun!
Hurry up May...I know a big ass OMG moment is in the works!!!!
