This was a sweet story of second chances and new beginnings. Hudson and Juniper did not have an easy path back to each other within the pages of this book. There were hard truths to face and big decisions to be made. Both of these characters were strong and stubborn, but for different reasons. And Hudson had to find his way back to trusting God, whom he had walked away from years earlier when he walked away from his home.

Gracie was a breath of fresh air in the story. I loved the connection that she had with Hudson. The author did a great job of creating a child character who had her own set of challenges. Seeing Juniper and Hudson both work to help Gracie process the world around her was uplifting. This sweet romance was a heartwarming read.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Sweet, inspiring, and a lift to the soul! I loved Juniper and Hudson and felt so invested in the connection between them and their journey of growth. Gracie was so lovely and tugged at my heart. Several lines of the book brought tears to my eyes. What a wonderful story.

I bought A Blessing in Disguise by author Ciara Knight from Harlequin a couple weeks ago purely based on the cover. It’s adorable. I am so glad I did! This author is new-to-me, but I won’t let her be a stranger anymore.
After 15 years, Hudson Kenmore has returned to the only place he ever felt was home, his nana’s farm. In his attempt to be nothing like his father, he’s become him…all work and nothing else at all.
He’s surprised to find Juniper Keller, the girl he’s loved his whole life, but always felt unworthy of, living at the farm. With a young daughter. Nana passed and left the farm to both of them.
Now they have to work together on repairs and renovations, with Juniper hoping to convince Hudson to get on board with her dream of an equine therapy program there.
Can the brick wall Hudson’s built around his heart be dismantled? Can Juniper risk not only her heart, but her daughter’s by allowing Hudson back into her heart?
I absolutely loved this story! The depth of emotion, the way the author introduced us to the joys, challenges, and beautiful heart of a special needs little girl, and how the Lord paved a very bumpy road to love. I so hope this turns into a series. There are some secondary characters I’d love to visit with again!

A Blessing in Disguise is a wonderful read! I was completely captivated by this small-town, second-chance romance—one of my absolute favorite tropes. The story had all the right elements that kept me hooked from start to finish.

I adored both Hudson and Juniper. Their journey of healing and overcoming past obstacles to find their way back to each other was both emotional and rewarding. Hudson’s redemption arc is incredibly compelling, and you’ll find yourself rooting for him to make the right choices every step of the way. While I was invested in both main characters, the real standout for me was Gracie and her heartwarming bond with Hudson. Their growing relationship was genuinely touching—it was the sweetest part of the story, and I couldn't get enough of it!

This is my first book by Ciara Knight, and I’m already eager to dive into her backlist. I’m definitely looking forward to whatever she writes next. If you haven’t read A Blessing in Disguise yet, don’t miss it—it’s a must-read!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own. The faith thread is medium. 5 stars!

I received this book as an ARC and I’ve followed this author for a few years now and I’d have to say, this is her best yet. I’ve always liked the way she writes and can bring a story to life. Without adding spoilers, I love the way she incorporated scriptures into the storyline. This is a clean romance with a lot of thought going into the child’s character. It is a must read! Please, check this book out.

This is a really sweet story overall. Little Gracie is definitely a scene stealer and Hudson is completely adorable with her. I loved the familial ties to Hudson’s grandma and how that played out in the course of the story. Juniper was a great character as well and I can see some additional story possibilities for some of the supporting characters which I would definitely read. Enjoyed this one!

I received a copy of this book from the author and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my honest opinion.

A Blessing in Disguise is a story about a childhood crush that was not meant to be and then revisited 15 years later.

I absolutely loved Gracie, the heroine's daughter whose life is full of challenges. Juniper has been left penniless by her ex-husband who will have nothing to do with Gracie. She has found refuge at Nana's farm.

Hudson returns to Nana's farm at his grandmothers request, to find the farm in need of repair, occupied by Juniper and Gracie.

Hudson and Juniper struggle through old hurts and new issues to find their HEA.

This was the first Ciara Knight book for me. I am looking forward to reading more of her work.

Let me tell you right now Juniper’s daughter Gracie will steal your heart in A Blessing in Disguise. Author Ciara Knight captures this special little sweetheart with such tenderness, insight, and joy that you find yourself missing her on the rare occasions when she’s not on the page. And her surprising bond with Hudson? Forget about stealing my heart I’ll just hand it right on over to the two of them.

As for Juniper and Hudson, well these two have a lot of longstanding baggage between them, baggage they’re going to need to work through if they hope to co-exist under the surprising terms of Hudson’s grandmother’s will. But layers like that make for the most rewarding love stories because they’ve truly fought for that happily-ever-after, and this is definitely the case in A Blessing in Disguise. Hudson’s overbearing (to put it mildly) father and Juniper’s dysfunctional ex-husband have left their own scars on these two, and some of those scars overlap between the two because of how Hudson’s father affected their relationship and how Juniper met her ex. I enjoyed how interconnected everything is in this story it added dimension to their individual character growth, as well as their rekindling romance, and gave readers a lot to root for, especially when it comes to Hudson’s spiritual and personal redemption. And Gracie serves as a delightful breath of fresh air to aid in that healing for both protagonists.

Bottom Line: A Blessing in Disguise by Ciara Knight is full of heart from its second chance romance (and the related character growth for both hero & heroine) to the equine therapy subplot and, of course, precious Gracie. Juniper and Hudson’s story has to overcome several obstacles, not the least of which is their shared past, and I appreciated the depth of the layers that the author gave each of them. Hudson’s redemption arc is especially touching, though I was also rooting hard for Juniper’s plans for the farm to become reality. The small Georgia town of Willow Oaks teems with possible stories (and romances) for future books, and I can’t wait to read enigmatic Ace’s story when it releases in late September!

I've never read this author before but now that I have, I will be looking for every book she writes! Her words move me to tears! This story was an absolute gem! Talk about heartwarming - this is it! Both main characters are the definition of opposites, but you are rooting for them throughout the book. They once wanted to be sweethearts when they were young, but Hudson's overbearing father drove them apart and commenced to turn Hudson into a workaholic, unfeeling man. The only one whoever knew the real person inside him was his Nana and when she dies, Hudson goes back to the farm to renovate it. However, Juniper and her little girl, Gracie, are there and Hudson doesn't know what to do with all the feelings stirring up inside him. It didn't work out before with Juniper before so it can't again but he didn't count on Gracie. Gracie stole my heart from the moment she was introduced in the book. No spoilers but every person who reads this book will fall in love with her! Hudson has never thought himself capable of loving anyone except his mother, but Gracie just might prove his wrong!
I highly recommend this book!

Love and Hope

What a beautiful story of love, hope, family, faith, forgiveness, healing, and self-discovery. The author flawlessly blended those elements into Juniper and Hudson's story, taking it from deep hurt to overcoming. Parts of it had me in tears, and others had me wearing a full-blown smile while feeling everything the characters were feeling. The icing on the cake was definitely Gracie, who added so much to Juniper and Hudson's story. It is a deeply touching and heartfelt.

Book Quotes:
If Nana were here, she'd tell Juniper to concentrate on what she could control and let God take care of the rest, so that was what she did.

"I know it can be difficult to open your heart again to God, but trust He knows the truth you can't see yourself."

"Faith is what keeps me going when I think life is too hard."

Ciara Knight is a new author to me, but she writes a heartwarming story with a good storyline, some really good characters, and a cute child that pointed out some characteristics of being on the autistic spectrum, and a good ending. I will definitely be willing to read more books by her.

Having been gone for fifteen years, Hudson Kenmore, returns to see his Nana, only to find out that she passed away and her funeral was just before he arrived. He finds out that he, and the girl he grew up with, Kuniper Keller, have jointly inherited Nana’s place. Juniper and her daughter, Gracie, are living in the house and were caring for Nana. Juniper and Hudson have history and they are on opposite sides. This is a book about forgiveness and second chances.

Ciara Knight has penned a sweet, heart-warming story with her new book, A Blessing in Disguise. The characters are realistically-flawed, relatable, and engaging. Juniper is a loving mother, trying to build a successful future for her child with special needs. Little Gracie is such a sweetie, and Knight did a wonderful job of depicting her. I enjoyed seeing Hudson’s interaction with Gracie and the way he changes and grows as he works with Juniper to fix up the farm and house they inherited together. I loved the message of family, healing, and growth that added depth to the story.

Knight penned a wonderful story dealing with grace, forgiveness, love, and a little girl who won a man's heart and helped to heal her mother's trust. The characters were spot on. I'd love to see this book on Purflix!
