If you’d told me years ago that I’d become a stunt woman after a car accident turned my Olympic dreams of gold to rust, I’d have called you crazy. Yet here I am, throwing myself off a perfectly good building. I guess I’ve always been a little fearless, except when it comes to matters of the heart. I keep my relationships light and meaningless, which is why my exes tend to have big...egos and the emotional depth of a puddle. I’ll admit, I have the bar set so low it’s practically a tripping hazard. Maybe that’s why when a tattooed biker started a drunken conversation with my boobs, I found him more intriguing than offensive. I thought he would be like the rest, just someone to pass the time with. But after years of keeping my relationships shallow, dating a biker is the equivalent of being thrown in at the deep end. And as enemies, old and new, start closing in, it takes almost losing him for me to let down my walls. Even if loving him might just kill me.
Content Bikers are gonna be bikers. If you are looking for a PG read, this book is not for you. Please expect a whole lot of cuss words, foul language, and dirty talk. There is also enough sexcapades and violence to make you question your morals.
Author note: Rest In Pieces is G (Genesis) and Amity's story. Each book in this series will follow a new couple. Raven Souls MC is set in the same world as my Underestimated Series, though you don't need to read that series to enjoy this one. However, a few of the characters from Raven Souls MC are first introduced in The Crown of Fools (Underestimated series book five.) This book is M/F.
4.5 This was a different take on mc with the h being a stuntwoman and former Olympic gymnast. She is feisty and funny. She’s also witty and wise. The H falls fast but still comes across as strong. This is like another book i read by this author it has a ton of characters from past books and some that you can tell will be future Leads. That made the book busy and a bit frustrating since I haven’t read all of her books. I would probably like that if I had read all of her books in the suggested reading order. I do want to go back and read the suggested order so I’m giving it 5 stars. Low angst ow drama because both characters are in love and stifle that right away.
Amazing book!! It was actually such a great read, I absolutely loved it🤩
I read the second in this series first, which was a mistake, but this one was still sooo much better, and G was such a great person🥰
I think that unless you’ve read all the books from all the different series this author has written, you’ll be a bit lost, like me🤭there’s a whole lot of characters and crossovers that’s confusing at times, but it also just makes me wanna read all her other books🤷🏽♀
Amity and G was so wholesome from the start, their obsession with each other was just amazing! I also really love the whole dynamic with the club, it’s so freaking great and really well written!
Stuntwoman - Amity (FMC) has had a difficult life that has led up to the job she has now. The new movie she's working on leads her to the Raven Souls MC and biker Genesis. Both of which don't make a brilliant first impression. I'll tell you I haven't laughed as much in a whilst reading a book. More so Amity's quick with, sarcasm and one liners. Omg the Probe and the Alien Insemination quip had me dying laughing!! The banter she had with Nevaeh was just outstanding!! All of that was surrounded by some great plot twists and turns as well as a lot of MC characters I really liked. I'm hoping to read more from them in future books? A cracking start to this series.
She does it again!! I love The Underestimated series and Apex Tactical world so much!! I was looking forward to this one cause I miss being in it. This did not disappoint 🤩 Not only do we get to catch up with some of our fav characters, but you get to fall in love with Genesis, and Like every FMC in this world, you will love Amity so much. There is always a strength to every female character in these books that I just wanna be around. I need them in my real life cause they just seem like the greatest friends you could ever have. The spice was so good, and so was the action. I also loved her bestie Tinkerbell lol. I cannot wait for her story smh. That tease at the end has me drooling for it! Amazing job, and please, if you haven’t read all the books in this world, then stop what you’re reading and grab book one of the underestimated series! You won’t regret it!!
I thought I would never find a good book on KU again bc it seems like most these days are trash. 🥴I was wrong. This was an enjoyable read and I am looking forward to the next book in this world.
Main characters and side characters are all interesting. Amity the fmc is a stuntwoman. G is a MC VP.
I loved the plot (ig there are two main ones-but it makes more sense when you read it bc the second one doesn’t show itself until half way in the book).
Romance is built, even if shallowly at first, & it was a bit fast paced and tied to hooking up for a bit. Spice was medium. It worked bc both folks thought it was a temporary thing🤷🏻♀
Idk what to really say other than it was paced well, flowed nicely and I enjoyed all the side characters.
There is a touch of OW drama but do not worry if you hate that bc G only has eyes for his woman. And nothing happens. There is one part that you are led to believe he might have but if you piece it together you know he didn’t. And it comes out in the end. So no worries.
This is my first book by this author and I think this book is interconnected to other ones. But I read it on its own just fine.I will def go back and check out her other stuff though bc I really loved this one.
If you need a good romance book w fun banter, hawt smexy times and good writing. This is your girl.

Rest in Pieces (Raven Soul MC #1) Candice Wright. Amity is now a stunt double. She loves her job and is very good at it. Once an Olympic gymnast, a terrible car accident crushed her dreams. When a movie she is working on brings her into Raven Soul MC territory, she ends up meeting an extremely drunk guy from the MC. Being the bad behind chick she is, she decides to take her drunken friend to his club. Needless to say, it didn't go well. After receiving some disturbing news, Genesis decides to go to a bar in town where he proceeds to get hammered. The next morning, all he knows is his head hurts, and he was brought back to the club by a fabulous woman. Genesis knows he has finally met the one, and Amity knows that once the movie finishes shooting, she will be driving off to the next film. Boy, was she wrong. Amity and Genesis are quite the couple, and their journey was hot and sexy along with being extremely entertaining. It was nice to see and hear about some of the characters from the previous books. Afterwords I definitely wanted to reread the entire series just so I could remember everyone's story. All the previous books were so good. And what would an MC club be without inter and outer division, lies, and betrayal. I am so looking forward to the next book in this series. A great start to the Raven Soul MC series. Hopefully, Havoc's story will be next. 4 stars for me.
Candice Wrights MC books just hit different you know? Yes they can be cringy and you see the plot twists coming, but they are fun, the writing doesn’t rot your brain and this one in particular had me giggling and kicking my feet the whole way through.
HUGE ANNOYANCE at the end though that is gonna bug me for fucking weeks. No mention of reaching out to jacks wife after he admitted to PEDOPHILIA!? Like what the actual fuck? We just needed one line saying the daughter was getting the support she needed. Huge character flaws exposed. Like come on!? Yes I am way too bothered, but legit wtf?
Update: I have nobody else to talk to about this, and have been mulling over the Jack situation. It really bothered me okay? I know Amity said she couldn’t remember much, and maybe the video footage didn’t have audio?? Only explanation. I think it was left open for a potential book in the future about Amy. Why else include her by name? Similar to a previous novel yeh? Okay now I’ll stop dwelling on it.
I thoroughly enjoyed the start of this new series! The female lead was absolutely hilarious, and the secondary characters were fantastic, especially the female lead’s best friend and the members of the motorcycle club. While there was some good action, what really stood out to me were the characters, particularly because of the humor. The romance actually took a backseat to all of that for me. I’m excited to see what the next book has in store!
(3.6 Stars) Amity is a stuntwoman and lives for the thrill. When her next job takes her to the town run by the Raven Souls MC she meets a biker named Genesis in a bar. After helping him home things start to get interesting. This wasn’t your typical dark biker romance. At least not the beginning as it’s more comedic feel the first 40%. Then the story picks up with more of a protective MC romance vibe with action and a twist. Told in first person and dual POV.
I devoured this book in one sitting, it completely captured my attention and I am buzzing for havoc and neevaghs story! G and amitys story had a great story line, brillant main and side characters and the spice was just right! Please candice don't make me wait to long!
This woman and her ability to suck you in with her sexy AF characters and witty writing is the reason I love her so much. Another one to add to my fav shelf.
G has possibly climbed the ranks to top Candice Wright guy for me.
Rest in Pieces was fantastic! Genesis & Amity's story was packed full of action and suspense and I couldn't put it down. Amity's career as a stunt woman was so unique and added even more action to the book. I have been waiting for G's story since The Crown of Fools, and I'm so glad he got his HEA. Candice did a great job of laying the groundwork for future books, and I'm definitely looking forward to what's in store for Havoc!
This book was fucking PHENOMENAL. I expect nothing less from this author, and with this being a spin off from the Underestimated series (aka the best series ever) I knew I was going to love it. I will admit it to being a bit nervous how a m/f relationship would work, seeing as how all the other mcs focus on a rh style of romance, but honestly, Amnity and G had such a big, beautiful all encompassing love that they deserved to be the focus. I love them so much!!
So Amnity is a stunt woman working major motion pictures, and while she's mostly fearless, she's had a lot of trauma in her life that got her to where she is. She has an amazing best friend (whom you will all adore, and I can't wait for her book!!) She's very good with being alone, and she definitely wasn't expecting a grumpy-yet-romantic biker to knock her off her feet. With G, she feels things she never thought she would feel, and falling in love just might be the scariest stunt she's ever done.
G is an important member of the Raven Souls (hello there, diva! IYKYK) who just had some startling news dropped into his lap and didn't really handle it the best way. So he ends up getting drunk and makes friends with Amnity's boobs (🤣🤣) and when she tries to get him back to the compound safely, things don't go well. She ends up stunning them all, and she really throws G for a loop when he finds out she's working on the movie that's being shot at the MC. They get closer and closer, and all throughout falling for one another, danger is never far away from them, and this special love they found may be over before they ever get the chance to truly revel in it.
I literally could go on and on about this book and how much I loved it, but just go read it for yourselves and find out! I loved how the suspense aspect wasn't so focused on the MC (because how much trauma can these guys really go through, lmao) and we were introduced to more character that I'm really excited to get to know!
I really hope Legs gets her own book at some point too! I have loved her in every book that she has popped up in, and I so hope that she'll get her own happy ever after one day.❤️
This is definitely one of my favorite reads of the year! Go one click now!
Review: I’m going to be very open about the fact that I’m a sucker for MC romances and ones where the female lead is a bada$$$ in her own right. I also love when the characters aren’t too stubborn to realize that they need help from one another to solve whatever issue is going on. I’m also a long time fan of this author: and in my eyes she can barely do any wrong. She somehow manages to mix very serious and scary topics…with dark humor and each character is so uniquely themselves. I love it and I adored this book.
Amity is a stunt women who was an Olympic gymnast and had her dreams destroyed in a moment in a car accident. So she turned to being a stunt woman and is one of the best in the business. She’s witty, smart, tough, and clearly a huge adrenaline junky. Shes a great character.
G (genesis) is part of the Raven Souks and the club is still reeling from the betrayal of Bear (former president and story in other books). You can read this as a standalone but I love her entire MC world, so I’d read the other series regardless. They’re all fantastic. Anyways, Blade (current president) is stepping down because his family needs him and he wants Havoc to come in as president. There’s a lot of backstory to Havoc such as his chapter of the Ravens truly screwing him over. It’s abundantly clear that he’s ready to integrate and make the Mother chapter stronger and a force to be reckoned with.
The chemistry between G and Amity burns hot as hell from their first meeting where G is drunk and ends up face planting in her boobs. The hilarity, spice, and romance just gets better and better. It’s all so well written with both plot and character development along with all of the spice.
There’s plenty of twists and turns…spice, action, and damage to our favorite characters. No worries there is a HEA.

Rest in Pieces (Raven Soul MC #1) by Candice Wright takes us on a wild ride with Amity, a stunt double who used to be an Olympic gymnast—until a car accident hit her dreams harder than a two-ton truck. Now she’s flipping, jumping, and crashing her way through movie sets, and loving every minute of it. But when her latest gig lands her in Raven Soul MC territory, she finds herself babysitting a drunken biker who’s practically a human keg stand.
Enter Genesis, the aforementioned human keg. After receiving some unsettling news, he drowns his sorrows at the local bar and wakes up with a hangover from hell and a vague memory of a fabulous woman dragging his sorry self back to the club. Genesis quickly realizes that Amity isn’t just another pretty face—she’s THE one. But Amity, ever the wanderer, is convinced she’ll be off to her next stunt job the minute the movie wraps. Oh, if only life were that predictable! Genesis wants to lock it down!
Together, Amity and Genesis heat things up like a biker rally on a summer’s day, with a chemistry that’s equal parts sizzle and sass. Plus, there’s enough drama, betrayal, and double-crossing to make a soap opera blush. And for longtime fans, there are plenty of cameos from beloved characters of past books.
Bottom line: a roaring start to the Raven Soul MC series, and I am truly looking forward to the next book. What’s an MC series without a little chaos and a lot of drama?
If you're like myself and enjoy a plot with your spice? Candice Wright's books should be read ASAP.

Story ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 (rounded up to 5) Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶 Darkness 🖤
Rest in Pieces by Candice M. Wright had me hooked from page one. Amity and Genesis are everything I didn’t know I needed in an MC romance. She’s chaos and resilience rolled into one, and he’s the broody biker with a gooey center—once you dig deep enough. Their story is full of heart, humor, and just enough spice to keep me flipping pages well past my bedtime.
Amity’s life as a stuntwoman already had me intrigued, but throw her into the mix with Raven Soul MC, and I couldn’t put this book down. The way she drags Genesis, drunk and sulking, back to the clubhouse had me laughing, but watching their connection build was what truly got me. Genesis might be a grumpy mess, but the way he steps up for Amity? Absolute perfection. He’s the protector we love in our fictional men, with just enough edge to keep it interesting.
And let’s talk about the world Candice has created here. It’s layered, full of familiar faces from her Underestimated and Apex Tactical series, but it still feels fresh. The MC’s rebuilding arc brought so much depth to the story, and the side characters? Havoc already has me dying for his book.
If you love strong female leads, protective MMCs, and a good mix of humor, heart, and heat, this book is for you. The chemistry between Amity and Genesis is off the charts, the banter is laugh-out-loud funny, and the emotional depth will have you hooked. I’m diving straight into Good Girl, but Candice, I’m going to need book three ASAP!
Every time Candice Wright puts out a new book, I think there is no way she can top the last one. Hold on to your hats ladies, because once again, she did. This time is the first installment in Candice’s new MC, Raven Souls. We first met the President, Blade in the Crown of Fools, her Underestimated Series. Now she’s back giving stories about the members of Raven’s Souls. Candice has always written about bada$$ women, but Amity is one of her own making. Genesis is feeling betrayed by his best friend while trying to do what’s still best for the club. Danger starts targeting them from all sides, and they have to come together to figure out who’s trying to destroy the Raven Souls and why. There are so many twists and turns in this book I couldn’t put it down. A 5 ⭐️ plus read. When Candice puts out a new book I go through a book hangover, waiting patiently for the next one to come out. It was refreshing to see old characters we love come back and make appearances in Rest in Pieces. There’s nothing else to say without spoiling the story, but I will say run DO NOT WALK, or WAIT to pick up this book.
Amity is a former Olympic athlete now working as fearless stuntwoman. She's a total force. Her best friend joins her on set as her new personal assistant while she's working on a new movie project. That same project is looking to film on the Raven Souls MC base where Genesis is gearing up to step into the new role as Vice President.
But before filming even starts, these two have a total meet-cute moment when Genesis has a drunken conversation with Amity's chest as he stumbles off his barstool. She finds him both attractive and adorable, which leads her to helping him back safely to the clubhouse. The MC doesn't make the best first impression but she can't help but to give them a second chance. And she just can't resist G.
While Amity impresses the guys with her stuntwoman skills, she also gets closer to G. When the movie's lead actress finds out G works security, she enlists the club's help against her stalker. G is torn between security work, the club, and finding time with Amity. Trouble comes from multiple directions and their loyalty and skills are tested. The connection between Amity and G grows through it all but that doesn't mean it's easy. But these two are just perfect for each other.
This is a fantastic start to a new series. I loved seeing some cameos from characters from the connected Underestimated series. I even caught a little character mention from Sole Survivor. And the teasers for what's coming with book two has me craving it already. Candice remains one of my top authors and she does not disappoint with one great story after another.
Rest in Pieces is definitely my favorite to date by Candice Wright as I found myself laughing so much throughout. Amity is our bada** heroine who hasn't had it easy in life, and yet, she's made it work & is this amazing stuntwoman. Genesis is part of the Raven Soul MC who hasn't found any woman to really catch his fancy until he comes across our heroine. I mean, yeah, his MC has been going through a lot, but I'm super glad he's not just a playboy type LOL! Amity finds him over the top drunk, and decides to take him to the MC, and that's when things really got entertaining so I thought I was going to wet my pants laughing. Poor G is all passed out while the MC deals with this woman they don't know what to do with. Needless to say, once G gets around to talking to Amity again, the sparks are flying & it's not too long before they're setting the sheets on fire. Of course this is MC romance so there's suspense & drama with a diva actress & a stalker so there are twists as well. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED LOVED LOVED this story, and I am dying inside to get Amity's best friends story that's for sure so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I’m giving this book 4 stars because I really like Genesis and Amity but honestly it was probably more like a 3 star overall. Their storyline was great. I really enjoyed the ending and the whole stalker bit. The spicy scenes between these two were great and I loved their chemistry together.
The book fell a little flat for me for two reasons- these may not be a problem for some people, which is another reason I went up to 4 stars. First, an MC book with the title like this, I was expecting it to be darker. Second, I love seeing characters from past books by authors I love, but so many old characters were included that it got to be too much and I found myself getting confused sometimes. We were also introduced to some new characters for future books and I really like them as well, but it all made things a bit too busy
Despite all that, I still recommend this book. The love story between the two main characters are really what was important and that was the best part about the book. If you don’t feel the same way as I do about the above mentioned issues, I can easily see this being a 5 star read for others

SYNOPSIS: The FC, is a stuntwoman who is hired for a film being shot in the Ravens Souls MC environs. Initially the FC does not get a good impression of the Club or the MC, G. However she quickly gets over this and they fall for each other. There is a backdrop of a stalker story involving the lead actress for the film and some club drama.
This is an enjoyable romp. I very much enjoyed this author's initial MC series about Kings of Carnage and Chaos Demons and this is an offshoot of that with some familiar characters coming up. Ultimately, however, it felt like the author was just rushing this story out and it was a bit "by the numbers" with limited depth to the story. Mostly the story was around the FC and MC falling out with each other and getting back together and the "sassy" relationship between the FC and her best friend. The story about the club came a bit out of the blue and the climax also seemed to just suddenly appear for dramatic effect and felt rushed and without context or real build up.
The FC is sufficiently kick ass and cool and the MC is acceptably alpha although not over the top. Both characters are likeable and engaging as are the secondary characters. There's decent world building and character development - especially if you are familiar with the author's other books - and that gives depth to the story.
If you are looking for an easy read and are happy to not look for too much depth then this is enjoyable and there is some amusing dialogue but overall not this author's best work and not a keeper.
Intense, suspenseful, humourous, emotional, unputdownable!!! Rest In Pieces was all of that and much more! What an unbelievable beginning to a new series. I'm in f-love with Genesis and Amity. I laughed, cried, raged, and darn near threw my tablet across the room.
A stuntwoman and a biker meet in a bar... It sounds like the opening line to a joke, but only this author could turn it into a fantastic storyline. The spice level keeps climbing as G and Amity discover their instant attraction, leading to much more, which both fight tooth and nail. The intense, suspenseful nature of the plot keeps you on the edge of your seat. Add in someone lurking on the film set with nefarious plans, and you amp up the level of anxiety. Who is terrorizing the set, and will they be found before someone gets hurt or worse?
There are some character crossovers from other series, and it is great to catch up with them. I love Candice Wright's series and can't wait to see who the next Raven Soul MC member will be to find their HEA.
The Underestimated series is one of my favorite MC series and rereads. The Raven Souls series, just became everything I didn’t know I needed. We see some past characters from the Underestimated series, but more importantly we get to meet the new characters from the Raven Souls and I can already tell their stories are going to be epic. H, H, T, that’s all I’m gonna say. The minute, Genesis (in a drunken haze) starts talking to Amity‘s boobs in the bar there’s already a kindness and grace she allows him and a cuteness (I know big bad bikers aren’t cute) in the way he interacts with her. In the light of sobriety there’s a sweetness, intelligence, banter and sexual chemistry that makes their connection instant. Despite some hurdles stalker, crazies, overbearing MC’s, this tech genius and stuntwoman can’t deny the connection they feel and how at home they feel in each other. Amity like all Candice’s FMC‘s is not to be underestimated. She is strong, a survivor, smart, and as bad ass as they come. Genesis didn’t think he’d fall the way his best friend did, but Amity is a game changer, she just may take some convincing. If anyone could be at home with him and in the club, it’s her. Only her. The first in the series is full of plot, comedic relief in her best friend Nevaeh, twists, found family and build up for the stories yet to come. I am so excited for this series!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
I don't think that I have ever read a book about a stunt woman. But Rest in Pieces fixed that for me. Amity is the said stunt woman who at one time had dreams of being in the Olympics. Her life has never been easy and the woman has fought for everything she has ever had. I loved her and loved reading her story. While she is working on a new movie she finds herself led to the Ravel Souls MC and a biker named Genesis. To say he wasn't impressed with her when they meet is an understatement. I loved Amity's wit and sarcasm. The girl is certainly quick on her feet with the one liners too. I wasn't expecting to laugh so much reading this book. But I did. However, things get more serious during the second part of this book. Then you get the seriousness of this and the twists and turns. Genesis is a super protective biker who has this way of stealing your heart and you won't want it back by the end of this book. I really loved reading it.
omg was this book hilarious 😂🤣 it had be laughing out loud at the things Amity said. she was so quick and witty. and her banter with her bestie Nevaeh and their friendship 👌🏽
this was another great MC book by the author. though there was OW drama, there was great female friendships which you don’t always see in MC books.
i loved Amity and her job was so cool. she was a badass and Genesis (G) knew it and cheered her on. i also liked their relationship with each other and how they communicated with each other when issues arose.
though you don’t need to read the Underestimated series to understand what’s going on, it would make things make a little more sense about the side characters.
i am also excited to read Nevaeh and Havoc’s story. great start to the series.

Rest In Pieces is the first book of the Raven Soul MC series and is a spin-off of her Underestimated Novel series. When I heard that this series was coming I couldn’t have been more excited! The Underestimated Novel series is my all time favorite and I couldn’t wait for more of this world! And what a way to start a new series! I loved everything from the suspense, the sassy heroine, the OTT hero, the spice, and getting more of characters that I have loved since the start of this world! No one writes MC romances like Candice does and I ate this one up and didn’t want it to end.
Amity is a stunt artist in town to work on a movie when she runs into a very drunk Genesis at a bar. After she plays a good samaritan and makes sure he gets home safely a lot happens! I don’t want to give any thing away but if you like a bada$$ heroine, a hero that will do anything to protect those he loves, a rowdy group of guys that are more like family, a sassy bestie that might be innocent but tells it like she sees it, great world building and a story that will make your heart feel happy, then you need to read this book! I can’t wait for Havoc’s story and more of this world!
