NOTE FROM THE Don’t buy this book! Seriously. My other ones are much better. Try Ducks in a Row. I love that one. Why is everyone buying this one?

Can time mend all wounds or does it take a little love? Ten years ago, Paige Cox left her hometown in the mountains of North Carolina, swearing she’d never go back to her cheating husband, her alcoholic mother and the best friend who’d betrayed her. However, her sister’s death and her career as a war correspondent have changed her priorities. Honoring her sister’s last wish, she returns home to care for her dying mother. Sean Anderson has been in love with Paige most of his life, even when he had to let her go. Now, confronted by her return, he knows he’ll never be satisfied as just a friend. But Sean’s life is in the town he still calls home. Can he convince Paige it’s worth putting down roots? Or will his own past prevent him from finally having the life he’s dreamed of?

2 ⭐⭐ - Meh!
=============
I struggled to finish reading, I found it boring.I bought it because someone recommended to my cheaters list.

It wasn’t his betrayal that had hurt her the most, after all. That dubious honor belonged to her erstwhile best friend, Travis’s current wife. The mother of his child. The woman who’d actually lived the life Paige had planned for herself.

Maybe she’d come back for Sean. God knows, he’s the only person in this town worth coming back for

And how did I repay him for his loyalty? First I marry a hotshot cheating son-of-a-bitch, then I run away. I left him.

Tracks In The Sand may be my favorite book by Michelle Garren Flye. Each character is so vividly developed as their history and secrets are uncovered that it is easy to lose yourself in their story. Mrs. Flye weaves her timeless love story around the real struggles of alcoholism and domestic violence and the lingering effects on subsequent generations of the families these issues touch. The story is a raw emotional journey as you find yourself rooting for love to heal and overcome all pain. This is definitely a book that you will have trouble putting down.

Another wonderful story by Michelle Flye. Tracks in the Sand gives us a story of love, betrayal, and bonds that expand not only over many years but through generations. The story reminds us that it is never too late to grant forgiveness to others, and with this forgiveness we give ourselves personal peace. An easy, quick read.

Another great book by Michelle Garren Flye! As with her other books, I am able to instantly relate to her characters and get wrapped right up in their lives. From the small town feel of the setting, to the cast of characters and the conflicts that they wrestle with, I enjoyed it all. Leave yourself time to finish this book when you start it. You won't want to put it down!

3 stars for finishing. I didn’t like any character except for Sean. I realize this is fiction but it was so unbelievable.

I love a good old will-they-or-won’t-they? romance, especially when it’s in the hands of a master. And Michelle Garren Flye is a master.

In TRACKS IN THE SAND, Paige Cox returns—reluctantly—to her hometown of Brevard, North Carolina, when she learns that her estranged, alcoholic mother is dying. There she runs head-on into her ex-husband and his new family and rekindles her relationship with her childhood friend, Sean Anderson.

But are Paige and Sean just friends? And will they or won’t they? And can Paige reconcile with her mother and live harmoniously with her ex and his family? Read it and find out. You’ll be glad you did

Love these characters. Love the quaint setting. Love the book!
