Bad boys are the best kind of trouble...

Kindergarten teacher Jenna Justice has lived her life by the book—right school, right career, right image. Too bad the townsfolk of Diamond, Kansas, have a hard time forgetting that she wasn’t born on the right side of the tracks. The only way J.J. can land her dream job is to keep her wild side buried and her reputation clean. But when she finds herself in another town, one without prying eyes, she allows herself one fantasy-filled night with her best friend’s bad boy brother.

Professional bull rider Colt McCade is grounded for the summer with an injury. After their sizzling night together, he finds himself wanting to pick up where he and the prim and not-so-proper Ms. Justice left off. Problem is, she isn’t interested in his idea of “healing, which involves ice cubes and a whole lot of heavy breathing. But the closer he gets, the more he sees that his fast-and-loose reputation could cost her the job of her dreams. He wants to do the right thing, but walking away from her could cost him everything

Take me, Colt."
"Anything you want, sugar. But you're gonna have to hold on tight, because this rodeo is just getting started."

OK Joya Ryan, fess up woman! Inquiring minds want to know; where have you been all my life and why am I only finding the awesome that is your writing now? Hmm? Fine, fine, likely that's my fault but definitely one I am rectifying after this book by auto-buying every future book in this series. It's that good. Seriously.

Sign me up for some scandal please, every night, a few times a night. Because, ladies, let me tell you, Colt is one deliciously sexy bad boy bull rider. Lawd but the man did it for me. I'm talking down to the point of how he wore his ball cap and then flipped the bill backwards right before taking the heroine against the tree. I ask you, how HOT is that? Rhetorical question really, so moving on.

Jenna Justice or JJ has grown up with the weight of her mother's reputation on her shoulders. Living in a small town has a way of putting a girl's every move under a microscope, and being a kindergarten teacher puts her under even more scrutiny. So she lives her life on the straight and narrow, a proper, no scandal wanting girl. Too bad her best friend's brother is a constant temptation, especially now that he's back in town while healing from a rodeo injury.
He was her knight in a shiny pickup, and the feelings he stirrer went far beyond platonic.

Colt is not known as the Rodeo Romeo for nothing. He's not exactly a relationship type, more of a one night of sweaty bodies between the sheets type. So color him surprised when the one woman that tempts him is also the one woman that is the exact opposite of what he usually wants. JJ is the forever type, and he just doesn't have forever in him. But he can certainly give them what they both want while he's still in town...
He plunged into her over and over. The look in his eyes, the praise in his kiss- Jenna felt him all the way to her bones. She was in over her head, but it was too late now. And God help her, she didn't want to go back.

Everything about this book worked for me, the story, all the secondary characters, and especially Colt and JJ. You feel the chemistry between them right away, and it only burns hotter as the story progressed. I love a romance that can grab me and keep me invested in the characters beyond the hot sex. And let me tell you, the sex? Was damn hot.

Colt wants JJ but doesn't think he's made for relationships. JJ wants Colt but is afraid she's not good enough being the girl from the wrong side of the tracks. Plus, let's not forget the scandal that it may cause her if someone finds out about her affair. Her job just may be on the line. I truly felt for both of them and was rooting for them from beginning to end. The progression of Colt's feeling from lust into something more was believable and oh so satisfying

Joya Ryan wrote a scorching hot romance that's sexy, a little sweet, and a whole lot addicting. I cannot wait to see what she has in store for us next. I already stalked her down to confirm that Penny and Bass's story is next and I for one am itching for that book in all my pervy anticipation. ESPECIALLY after the little previews we get into their personalities in this book.

If you're looking for a new author to add to your auto-buy list, you've found her. This was book was a the perfect beginning to what looks to be a fun and sexy series.

4 ❤Colt ~ So I'm your undercover kink....STARS!

With a HOT bull rider (Colt McCade) and a SEXY teacher (Jenna Justice), what could go wrong? Not much because I really enjoyed this one. It wasn’t filled with unnecessary drama, the angst level fit the storyline perfectly and the chemistry between Colt and Jenna was sexy, sweet and sensual all rolled in one.

Jenna is one of two candidates vying for a position to direct the after school program at the school she teaches at. This is something that means a lot to Jenna and she hopes that nothing from her past will hurt her when the decision is being made. She is also trying to live a “perfect life as much as she can so this too doesn’t jeopardize the decision.

Jenna and Colt share a bit of a past. Jenna’s best friend Lily is Colt’s sister. So Colt knows about Jenna’s past and how she grew up. He also knows that Jenna has been working hard to show everyone she is different, that she isn’t like her alcoholic scandalous mother. But this is getting harder to do.

Colt is back in town healing from an injury when his sister Lily tells him Jenna is out and about partying at the wrong kind of place. Jenna is relieved when Colt shows up but what was supposed to be Colt getting her home safely turns into one pretty wild and crazy night of amazing sex and Jenna is left feeling a bit befuddled. Actually, Colt too.

Colt isn’t that settling down kind of guy. He isn’t the guy she should be getting involved with. But her feelings change quickly. She can’t help but want more. She needs more. And so does Colt. But starting a relationship with Colt could mean risking this job.

Colt tries to stay away from Jenna but their paths continue to cross and well, he just doesn’t want to stay away. They both try to keep things as secretive as they can but that only works for so long. And when Jenna’s frustrations with herself, her past and the fact that she thinks she can’t have colt in her life likes she wants to, things get a tiny bit messy.

Jenna and Colt deserve their happiness and watching them struggle with making the “right decision made me sad at times. Colt needed to find his way back home to Diamond but he was still struggling with unresolved issues from the loss of his parents and Jenna needed to let go of the stigma she thinks her mother has left her with. They really belonged together but letting go and moving on wasn’t always the easiest thing to do.

Definitely a great read for me. It may have been a tad predictable but in the end I really didn’t mind that at all. I loved the side characters too. Sebastian, Huck, Ryder, Lilly and Penny all added a bit of fun and I hope that maybe Sebastian and Huck get their stories too.

Sexiest part for me..has to be at 55%. It involves a chase, Colt, Jenna and an oak tree. Beds are overrated!! lol

4--One Wild Night--Stars!!

I really enjoyed this one. It's what I like to call smut-fluff! A quick, easy smutty read with little to no drama. Very entertaining and enjoyable!

Jenna is a teacher and is trying to establish an after-school program at the Elementary school. A product of a single, deadbeat mom Jenna knows the importance of kids having a safe place to go after school.

Colt is a bull rider and the older brother of Jenna's best friend! Colt and Jenna share one wild night but that's all it can be. Jenna still lives in their hometown of Diamond and Colt can barely stand to go back after the death of his parents.

Jenna and Colt can't seem to stay away from each other. But the last thing Jenna needs is it getting out that she's galavanting around with Colt, the one-time troublemaker. The more Jenna and Colt see each other the more their feelings grow.

Jenna and Colt will have to decide if they can put their pasts behind them and go after what they want, each other.

I really don't have any complaints about this one. I liked both MCs. The storyline was a bit predictable but it was entertaining and enjoyable nonetheless.

Jenna ( JJ ) had a hard life as a kid. Living with a single parent, an alcoholic mother who slept around in their small town wasn't easy for her. Because people judge by association, Jenna tried all her life to show everybody that she's different. All her life she tried to prove herself, she tried to show that she's not her mother. She needs to stay save so she's living a boring by-the-book life. Growing up JJ was ambitious and hardworking, now working as a kinder garden teacher. She tries to help other kids who have a life like she had with a new after school program.

Colt is a bull rider and he’s in town healing after an injury. He’s the older brother of JJ’s best friend. Colt knows very well what it means to lose somebody you love, so he tries to protect himself, not involving himself in a romantic relationship.

Because Colt doesn’t live anymore in their town, Jenna lets herself feel, spending a night with Colt. They agree to one passionate night together. Only one...

“You want a wild ride, JJ? I’ll give it to you, hard and slow until you scream my name.

but one night is not enough for both Colt and JJ.

If at first JJ tries to stay away from Colt because she doesn’t want to risk her reputation, soon she wants to stay away because she’s getting attached more and more to Colt. She's falling hard for him. In a short time, JJ manage to change Colt, he doesn’t want to run anymore, he doesn’t want to avoid his problems.

description

Colt and JJ want to be with each other, but in order to be happy together they have to stop running and hiding.

“When he was with her, all that ambition, drive, and kindness zeroed in on him. He wanted to be the kind of man who deserved that. The kind of man she could be proud of.

description

I really like this one! It was sweet and sexy with the perfect amount of steam. Colt and JJ are both great characters and I feel connected immediately with both of them. I loved Colt and his dirty mouth. He’s caring, loving, supportive and so considerate with JJ. He also is a great brother, uncle and friend. I found him pretty perfect. JJ was great too. I really felt for her. She’s sweet and caring with everybody, even with her mother, when she doesn’t deserve.

I loved how Colt and JJ’s relationship progressed. All felt natural, nothing was rushed. The chemistry between them was fantastic, palpable form the beginning and the sex so damn hot.

I also loved the side characters and can’t wait to read more about them in the next books in the series.

Overall, Chasing Trouble was a great read with an entertaining storyline, a little drama and great writing.

Colt is Jenna's best friends brother. One wild night shared but can they stay away from each other?

I love the couple both individually and together. We didn't get to read about them when they were younger but I didnt feel I missed anything. Had the book been longer I might have been a bit frustrated at Jenna.

See, this is how I love my Brazen books. Hot and smutty, great side characters, low drama, a little angst and let's not forget a stubborn hottie cowboy. Loved it!!

4 Small Town Challenges Stars
* * * * Spoiler Free- Sale 99 Cents!!!
Small towns have a special type of charm...but like that beautiful poison apple...all shiny and pretty... sometimes there can be a little something rotten there too...

Overcoming the "sins" of a mother and all the gossip has been the sole focus of Jenna.
She has made something of herself the hard way...studied hard, past all the tests and is now the Kindergarten teacher in her home town. She has been working relentlessly acquiring funding for an after school program for the children of the town. Her own childhood was marred by a mother addicted to the rush of falling in love and taste of whiskey. The remembrance of the verbal on-slot of ugly words and no place to go as a child has motivated her to put this program together. She survived... but the little kids she teaches are now the ones who sometimes are needing an escape. But the chokehold of small-town gossips painting her with the sins of her mother may cause her to lose out on running the program.

Jenna isn't the only one who has a rep to fight from childhood; Colt has his own actions after his parent's death which gave the rumor mill plenty to pass around. The only difference is he left town at 18 and became a rodeo star... and when fame comes... people will turn a blind eye.

These two meet during an out of town rescue. Colt's sister knew Jenna was at a rowdy bar and asked him to get her out of there. He does and all the pent up teenage desire both of them had years ago shows up front and center. Jenna sees this as an opportunity to actually have a little fun without the town watching her every move... but lays out specific conditions... this is a one time only ... they can go for broke and ride each other hard... but once it is done... it is done.

Well, hot damn... Colt can't say no... and the two of them ignite and personal explosions happen. It may have been great but Jenna knows this was not happening again... she has to revert back to the schoolmarm... all buttoned up and pure... if there is any chance of her getting this school program to happen.

Fate is interesting... and Colt gets thrown from a mean 5,000-pound bull... sidelining him from the circuit bringing him home at his sister's to recuperate. He has decided he doesn't want to stay away from Jenna... and the pull of Colt is so strong, it is causing her brain freezes... but town eyes are everywhere...

This is a fast read with hot bodies wanting to get together against all odds. It presents how people can be hurt by the words of others... and how cruel it is to be judged on actions not your own. Both main characters think they are ashamed of each other... when they realize that is not the case... they grow and develop the strength to fight small minds... and open their hearts to each other.

This couple was endearing... they had minor angst but all worked out well in the end.

I'm a good ole Kansas girl who relocated to Texas. There are NEVER books set in my home state, so I jumped on this. This first installment was okay. To be honest, cowboys aren't usually my thing, believe it or not. I find most authors way overdo the honky-tonk to the point of cheesy, and I tend to eye roll my way through the ott drawling. Other than the hot sex, my fave part of this book was how well this author handled the cowboy aspect. This hero wears a ballcap (which he quickly flips backward while cornering this heroine against the wall to grind her to a big "O") unless it's a special occasion. He doesn't clomp around in pointy toes cowboy boots or white trash booze it up while ropin' and wranglin' and such. Lol...no, he's a regular old good guy who rides bulls for a living and knows how to treat a lady.

Nice start to the series. I've already read book two and it's even better and hotter! I'm really digging this new-to-me author.

5 - "Colt McCade likes permed poodles" Stars!

I fell in love with Chasing Trouble, within the first few chapters. Joya Ryan’s writing style, the storyline, characters and the voices she gives them were perfect for me. Although there is a little drama in the book, it wasn’t overly angsty and I just fell in love with J.J and Colt, as well as the rest of their friends and family.

He was her knight in a shiny pickup.

Colt McCade is a professional bull rider, having left Diamond, Kansas for the bright lights and financial gains of the National Rodeo circuit, he reluctantly returns once in a while to catch up with his sister Lily, nephew Alex and his friends Ryder Diamond, Huck Galvin and Sebastian Strafford.

Jenna ‘J.J Justice is a Diamond girl, but she never left. She is also well known, but due to her errant mother’s escapades rather than her superlative teaching skills. Being Colt’s sister’s best friend she has always been off-limits, but the attraction between them is strong. So when the opportunity of a night of a no-strings-no-one-can-find-out-fun-between-the-sheets arises, neither of them has the strength to say no.

”I want you. Tonight. No strings. No tomorrows. Just one night, no holding back.

Fate, a wily bull, and doctor’s orders have other ideas, and Colt ends up stuck in Diamond for the summer recuperating from a riding injury, and with nothing better to do than tempt J.J. things get hot and sexy, very quickly. Although Jenna initially has reservations it doesn’t take long for Colt to negotiate his way into her affections and her panties! But worry about town perception makes J.J. reluctant to go public about her relationship with the Rodeo Romeo.

”When I’m near you -inside you- I feel more at home than I ever have in my life.

Nothing makes me happier than a series, what makes me ecstatic about Chasing Trouble is, it’s the beginning of a series and I have already fallen in love with it. No warming up or pre-heating required with this one, and I cannot wait for the rest of the books, the glimpses of the rest of the guys and girls that you are given throughout this book show the promise of even more enjoyment to come.

”That was a wild ride Miss Justice.

4 Ride em Cowboy Stars!!
Very good, entertaining read! Basic formula here...sheltered, straight laced heroine always has lusted after her BFF's hot older brother Colt. This bro is special though, cause he is a yummy cowboy bull rider. Thus, this is what JJ wants to do with Colt, and "do it" she does.
description

One night leads to complications, because JJ is up for a promotion, of sorts, at work and getting all kinds of scrutiny into her personal life. Colt doesn't have the greatest reputation in their small town so they are hitting it on the downlow.
description

Now do you think in a small town something like that is going to stay quiet forever?
description

Enter drama time!! I really liked both MC's, and couldn't put this down once I started. Story wrapped up nicely and had a nice mix of light angst, steam, and drama. Loved it! :)

4 girlie & giddy stars

Jenna Jayne Justice is more than aware that a reputation is a hard thing to shake. After all, her mother had given the townsfolk in Diamond, Kansas enough to feed on for the both of them.

JJ has established herself as a renowned kindergarten teacher, and is in the process of attempting to land her dream job of after school care to those that would truly benefit; a situation close to her own heart.

Colt McCade is a professional rodeo bull rider, who was born and bred in Diamond. He doesn’t stay long when he has the rare opportunity to come home, much to his little sister, Lily, and nephew, Alex's disappointment. He doesn’t have fond memories of his hometown and feels nothing like the pull you would expect.

JJ happens to be Lily’s best friend, and has been since school. She also had the biggest crush on Colt when they were young, but has rarely seen him over the years since he had established a famous and lucrative career.

Colt finds himself cornered in Diamond, following a rodeo injury, and a sentence of laying low at home for the summer.

Needless to say, the well preened, uptight, straight laced JJ gets the opportunity to have an out of town liaison with her best friends brother, which brings out the racy, raucous, rebellious side in her…and Colt’s completely enamoured.

I always love the best friends brother/sister trope, and when wrapped around a well written, engaging story, you have a winning read. Joya’s writing is new to me, so I was pleasantly surprised with the many facets to her story.

It didn’t take long to become connected to these characters, and the future books in this series are nicely mapped out with Colt’s delicious friends…can.not.wait!

Thoroughly enjoyed this flush-inducing read. Bring on Huck, Ryder & Bass’s stories.

When kindergarten teacher Jenna-Jayne Justice gets into a spot of bother in a bar, her best friend's older brother comes to the rescue. Colt McCade; a delectable sexy gent who rides bulls for a living. And they don't call him Rodeo Romeo for nothing...

“You want a wild ride, JJ? I’ll give it to you, hard and slow until you scream my name.

description

And boy, does he give her the ride of her life. They complemented each other perfectly. Both independent, they've know each other much of their lives, yet there are still discoveries to be made and they unleash the fun side in one another.

“You’re injured and this is a bad idea.

Solid 4 stars!

My first book of Joya Ryan and definitely not my last! Steam and the love story was spot on! I got kinda annoyed with Jenna because of her decisions but it was a good thing that Joya made it look like Jenna knew it herself too. This was supposed to be a 3.5 stars but the ending definitely increased the rating! Great ending! And the steam? Wow 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I can't wait to read Bass and Penny's book 😍😍😍

I had to give this a low rating bc there wasn't anything in this book that you haven't read a billion times before. The h is a straight laced teacher who wants a job at a school and, of course, her main rival is a snotty woman who hates kids and wants the H. I hate that other women in these stories are made out to be so awful. Why can't the rival also be someone who has worked hard and deserves the job? But no, the h is the victim who had a difficult childhood, is struggling with a selfish mother, and keeping a clean reputation in the community. I had to roll my eyes at all the efforts made to make the reader feel sorry for the h. Now to the H, tell me if you have ever encountered this type of H before. He is a successful and wealthy bull rider who only has casual sex and women are on him like white on rice. He is suddenly attracted to the h's innocence and the h decides to throw caution to the wind and engage in casual sex with him. But keep in mind the h has never behaved in this way. She just wants to experience what its like to be reckless (eye roll). And after their night the H is hooked and wants to continue so they can't stay away from each other. I wish authors would try harder to write original stories instead of relying on cookie-cutter plots and characters.

Delicious chemistry between Colt and Jenna. They had a lot in common, both growing up in that narrow-minded small town. So glad they both found the courage to put their relationship ahead of the fear and gossip created by those meddling busy-bodies!

Chasing Trouble is a meaningful and sexy romance by Joya Ryan. The characters are well-described, interesting and compelling. Unfortunately, with the exception of the first chapter, I found the plot to be a bit bland.

Jenna Justice, the primary female character, has a lot of good qualities. She is a wonderful kindergarten teacher and goes out of her way to help those children who need additional care. Since Jenna's mother is an alcoholic and considered trailer-park trash by the locals, Jenna goes out of her way to blend in and do everything right, so that she is acknowledged by the small town of Diamond, Kansas to be an upstanding citizen. Some of the town gossipers believe Jenna is just a chip off the old block and as a result, they never let her forget where she comes from. Luckily, Jenna has a group of very good friends who love and support her.

Professional bull rider Colt McCade, is the main male character in this story. He is a good-looking guy that tends to shy away from any romantic commitments. He likes playing the field and in his line of work, it is very easy to do. Colt has known Jenna all of her life, because his younger sister is Jenna's best friend. After Colt lost his parents, he evolved into a wild child and was sort of forced out of Diamond at the age of eighteen. Now he is back in town, rehabbing, while staying with his sister and her young son.

With lots of history to cradle them, Jenna and Colt begin a romantic relationship.

To begin with, I could not understand why Jenna would want to live in Diamond. Some of the townspeople really don't like her and constantly harass her because they believe she is just like her mother. It is such an old fashioned attitude considering today's societal norms. Furthermore, Jenna comes across as a smart woman, so why would she let herself be bullied on a regular basis? Lastly, I was able to connect with Jenna and Colt individually, but not as a couple. Their sex scenes were well written, but I did not feel the heat between them. Overall, I found this to be a fair read.

Chasing Trouble was a cute Summer Romance, even if I had trouble believing the reason the love interests couldn't be together. Jenna and Colt are from the same small-minded, small town. He left to be a professional bullrider, but she stayed and is a teacher. Jenna has been working her butt off to get an after-school program for the kids who don't have somewhere safe to go, but she might not be able to run the program because of how the town sees her. Then she has a one night stand with Colt, wants more, but doesn't want to put her future in jeopardy.

The big drama in Chasing Trouble is Jenna wanting to be the head of this new school program, but being afraid she's not going to get it if she acts like a real person. The short story is that her mother was the town bicycle and families are holding it against Jenna. She refuses to be with Colt in public, because heaven forbid that she have a boyfriend! I really did not understand this line of thinking. Jenna does say over and over that she doesn't want to be her mother and has to protect her reputation, but I don't see how being in a relationship would jeopardize that. I would think sneaking around, having a torrid affair (which they do) would be more damning. But whatever.

I did really enjoying Chasing Trouble even if I did not agree with Jenna's line of thinking. I liked her and Colt together, although I would have preferred them to leave the rodeo puns outside the bedroom. Not sexy. They don't have some huge fight which was a bonus. Jenna does get upset at something Colt does, which she had every right to, even if I thought it was a stupid situation. But in the end I was happy to have read this.

I am a fan of this author, so when I saw a new series she had coming out, I immediately thought, sign me right up.....

This is the fist book in this series about the delightful people who live in a little town called Diamond, Kansas.

Jenna is a kindergarten teacher who has lived in Diamond her whole life. Sadly she has grown up in her mother shadow, and that has not been a good place to be. She is determined to prove to the town that she is nothing like her mother and that means always being well behaved and in control. She is also determined to get a new programme up and running at her school A after care programme that will help all the kids in her town who do not have a great at home life. After all this is a place she can relate to all to well.

Enter Colt, her best friends brother who is a bull rider and happens to hate the town he grew up in. He left as soon as he can and has been running ever since. After being hurt on the rodeo circuit he comes back home to his sister and nephew to heal. A few weeks prior to that Colt got a taste of Jenna when he helped her out of a tricky situation at a bar and now he cant get the feisty prim and proper little teacher out of his head.

This is a enjoyable read about 2 unlikely people who will not only set each other on fire but learn that sometimes there is no place like home and that all it takes in life to succeed is to just be yourself.

A great first book and I cannot wait to see which couple in Diamond is gonna be next......

I would love professional bull riders if I met a bull rider like Colt. He is just the epitome of sexy bad boy with a sweet side stuck in the middle. J.J. and Colt are the complete opposites when it comes to responsibility and maturity in some ways. J.J. is the always perfect, always striving to be the best when Colt doesn’t care what anyone thinks or says but when they meet, something about themselves breaks apart.

You see J.J. giving in the temptation that is Colt McCade and letting her wild side be released. Although, after the night spent with him, she clams back up waiting to keep her reputation perfect. Colt could care less what the town thinks of him but he slowly starts to care what the town thinks of J.J. His protecting sides flairs when rumors start to fly.

I love that Colts does whatever he can to keep J.J. happy; even if that means walking away so she can be protected. *Sigh*

Joya Ryan has set up some great secondary characters that I can’t wait to delve into.~Bookwhisperer Reviewer MC~

Now let me tell you a little something..... I like my books spicy, with a story-line that I can relate to and an alpha male. That alpha does not have to always be a control freak, so with that in mind..... *sigh*

Joya Ryan has me hook, line and sinker. She is awesome, brings her characters to life and makes your damned heart go pitter, patter.....

It's a great book and one you can read quickly and still get the kids up and going, dinner on time and lose lots of sleep over. LOL Because I can tell you, you will not want the TV blaring, your man taking long breathes because you don't hear him. You will want total absorption in this little steamy series! And yes, I said series because I have read them all at this point of updating my GR. Now........... get to reading!

A woman with a reputation not of her own making and a cowboy who still running from his. One willing to take a risk and the other isn't, made this book very interesting to read.

Jenna or JJ has spent her entire life trying to prove to certain people in her small town that she is nothing like her mother. She wants to start an after school program and run it but has to jump through hurdles to make it happen. A family that her mother wronged is fighting her ever step of the way and so Jenna feels like she is under a microscope. What she thinks she doesn't need is a hot cowboy who is too good looking for his own good, wrecking what she is working for.

Colt is the older brother of Jenna's best friend. She has had a crush on him forever. One night she decides to let her hair down and seduce Colt. Neither was expecting the kind of chemistry they ignited. Colt has run from their hometown because of some mistakes he made when he was a kid after his parents died.

I really enjoyed the push/pull these two had. While I really liked this book, there was two things that I was hoping the author would elaborate on. The first thing, I don't REALLY understand what Colt did as a kid to make certain townspeople think so little of him. He was a boy grieving. The second thing was, I was a little thrown on what happened at the school board. After JJ said her piece, I was surprised about what she did next. I won't spoil it, but it just seemed like a weird thing to do after she had been fighting for this after school program and for her to run it.

I highly recommend this book.

Jenna aka J.J. is a teacher and from the wrong side of town. Her Momma is the town’s home wrecker. She has lived with that her whole life but tries to live her life differently. She is one of the two teachers up for an after school program that gives kids a place to go. Colt is a bull rider and J.J.’s best friends brother. He only comes back to Diamond for short visits and then leaves without many people knowing. When Jenna goes out of town to present her ideas for the program, she ends up in a bar where Colt comes to the rescue. She decides to have a one night stand with Colt and let her wild side out. When Colt gets hurt and comes to stay with his sister, staying away from Jenna is harder than he thought. But she wants their relationship kept a secret until the board votes. Will Colt lose the only woman he has loved by telling the wrong person about him and Jenna?
Sex, cowboys, and small town gossip. I loved Jenna and Colt even though Jenna wanted to hide her relationship with Colt.

Holy hotness Joya Ryan packed the steam into Chasing Trouble, and let me tell you Colt is one hot bull rider that will have you fanning yourself. Jenna, is a kindergarten teacher that needs to hold on to every little bit of her good girl personality as possible, especially in a town where she is judged based off of opinions of her family rather than her as a person.

Colt injured and taking an unwanted break from bull riding finds other ways to fill his time. What Jenna doesn't need is a sexy bull rider taking her for a ride in the wild side...but maybe that's what she needs more than she realizes.

Will Jenna be able toand her dream job and keep her sexy fling a secret? You'll have to read to find out...but grab some ice water and a fan before you start.

sexy story, sexy narration

This is my first book by the author, and it was a fun, short read. I think they picked a perfect narrator as she could pull off a sexy narration that can match the sexiness and spiciness of the scenes when needed (eargasm, anyone?). I may not be a fan of the best friend's brother trope, but this was beautifully written, and I did not mind that particular dynamic. Although a part in the last few chapters made me flinch over the heroine for acting immaturely, but good thing both were able to realize and reflect on it, which turned into a sweet grand gesture of sorts. I would definitely continue reading the series and hopefully, it would be as steamy and sexy as this one.

This one had been on my tbr list for a bit with getting to make a mark on it by diving in. Though I told myself I did not want to read a brother one I found I was doing just that since this one had such a pull with curiosity winning. I also know how those small towns used to work so this one got me stuck like glue. Jenna and Colt take you on a ride in this one with heat one minute and story the next, keeping us wondering what direction this will go.The heart wants what the heart wants as the saying goes with it also worming its way into ours. Colt is also interesting having gotten our attention fast. Kept with this from beginning to end lapping it up.
