Logical Fallacies: The Key to Proving Christians Wrong

Rate this book
Comrades, let's put a stop to it - Christians using logical fallacies to "prove" that their God exists, atheists not calling them out on it, and, most of all, atheists losing debates by being bombarded with a seemingly infinite supply of logic errors. So instead of just letting it happen, learn how to debate like a pro, discredit faulty evidence that God exists, provide evidence the Christian God from Genesis is fictional, and show how the Bible's scripture is morally unreliable with this book. All in all, this book is an absolute must if you're serious about destroying Christians as effectively as possible in debates.

Whether you buy this or not, take this with you:

1)You cannot prove that God does not exist, so He
does.(Burden of Proof Fallacy)

2)There is currently no explanation for this, so God
did it. (God of the Gaps/Argument from Ignorance Fallacy)

3)God exists because the Bible/Qur'an/Torah says it's
the word of said "on true God" /Bible, Torah, Qur'an quotes (Circular Reasoning
Fallacy)

4)Many people believe God exists so he does (Appeal to
Belief Fallacy)

5)The bible makes me feel good, so it is true (Appeal
to Consequences of a belief Fallacy)

6)Muslim/Christian-I had a personal encounter with
God, so he is real. (Anecdotal Evidence)

7)I prayed to God and I was cured (Post Hoc Ergo
Raptor fallacy)

8)Ontological Argument (Fallacy of Misplaced
Concreteness/Ontological Fallacy + Non sequitur-concludes that this proves the
Christian god's existence specifically without any justification)

9)Bible prophecies (Circular Reasoning fallacy assuming the Bible prophecies were foretold before the fact. Also, assuming that Bible prophecies took place in the Bible happened (e.g. the resurrection of Jesus) + Cherry Picking only counting the times Bible “prophecies came true +Self-fulfilling Prophecy - a prediction that directly or indirectly causes itself to become true due to want of making it happen + Non sequitur even if Bible prophecies came true, the leap to “God exists doesn’t follow from the premise.)

10)*ignores argument * Argues about something else
(Red Herring Fallacy)

11)*ignores argument * You don't believe in God
because you're dumb/arrogant/blind/ignorant/working for Satan, atheist!
(Personal Attacks Fallacy)

12)This is all just lies and slander as expected from
an atheist (Appeal to Motive)

13)Thomas Aquinas Five ways (Non sequitur-god is the unmoved mover (special pleading), uncaused cause(special pleading), intelligent designer, the necessary not contingent being, the absolute, perfect standard + It's an even bigger leap to assume it proves the Christian God specifically.)

14)Any pro God "evidence" whose conclusion doesn't
follow the premise (Non sequitur)

Example: Muslim/Christian/Deist: The Kalam argument
proves that my specific God exists just because.

15) I cannot fathom how this came to be, therefore God
did it. (Argument from Incredulity)

16)Absolute morality exists , therefore God exists.
(CRF + Non Sequitur)

17)God exists because there is a sophistication and
design in the world. (False Analogy + Watchmaker Fallacy + Teological Fallacy)

18)God is love (Tautology)

19)You cannot explain where love comes from, therefore
God did it. (God of the Gaps)

20)I believe in God because I don't want to believe
there is nothing after death. (Appeal to Consequences of a Belief)

21)The world was made beautiful for us. (Appeal to
Beauty + CRF)

22)God. (You gotta' be kidding me. CIRCULAR REASONING FALLACY.)

I gave him one star for a good idea. However, it is the worst written, presented and edited book I have ever read. It looks like it has been translated - very badly - from some other language. he and his editors need to learn about grammar. (The plural of "God" is NOT "God's"!) I think he comes over as a bit weird. Such a shame that he didn't live up to the promise of the title.

Of the many many things to criticize in this book, I will respond to many of the examples given and it will not be on order, but I will provide the page number and the #.

First things first, jumping to page 74 and going down to just above the #3: Leviticus 27:6- "Women are valued less then men according to the shitty Bible"."

As with all whiny-butt complaints, instead of the author choosing to have a hissy-fit about this verse, he could simply look it up. When he does this, an article on GotQuestions will explain what the verse actually says and not what the lying Author wants to pretend that it says.

Moving on to Chapter 5, Pages 43-53, the author chooses to complain about a bunch of verses that have already been explained. All the does is list the verses and he gives 4 examples of Christians defending these so-called "Pro-Rapist God" which are just a couple and are not even the answers that are usually given instead of responding to Apologetic Articles that explain these verses.

It would have much more logical for him to cite Numbers 31 and the. Cite the ApologeticPress Articles that explain these verses, especially since some of the articles responding to the verses that he complains about came out before he even wrote this book. So, he really has zero excuse for not being aware of their explanations, and whether or not he agrees with them, he still should have mentioned them here and shown how they are wrong.

But, since he didn't I'll just have to go ahead and prove him wrong and show how incredibly dishonest he is.

#2 Numbers 31: 7-18. First of all, all he does it cite the entire verse, he doesn't even say anything about it. How absurd. If I was him I would cite the verse and then explain it. That's what Dan Barker did, even in his dishonest ways in his books "Godless" and "God: the Most Unpleasant Character in all of Fiction".

"Murder, rape, and pillage of the Midianites (Numbers 31.7-18): Almost the same thing as above. Again, they say "Clearly Moses approves of rape of virgins". Apparently EB sees the word virgin and immediately thinks rape. Rape, or even sex, is never mentioned in the entire verse."

This is the same verse that Atheists/Skeptics have been complaining about for years and nothing has changed. At the end of the day, their argument boils down to a big fat assumption about Numbers 31:18. They read Verse 18 and ASSUME that Rape is happening.

"Critics of the Bible also point to Numbers 31 (and similar passages) in which the Israelites were allowed to take female captives from nations they conquered. Critics say this is an example of the Bible’s condoning or even promoting rape. However, the passage says nothing about raping the captive women. It is wrong to assume that the captive women were to be raped. The soldiers were commanded to purify themselves and their captives (verse 19). Rape would have violated this command (see Leviticus 15:1618). The women who were taken captive are never referred to as sexual objects. Did the captive women likely eventually marry amongst the Israelites? Yes. Is there any indication that rape or sex slavery was forced upon the women? Absolutely not."

#4 Deuteronomy 22:28-29. This one has been responded to and addressee multiple times. This author has zero excuse and should be aware of the truth regarding this one and shouldn't lying about what it says and twisting it.

I'll respond to the rest, but that's the beginning of what I am going to respond to for now.

Fast-paced, interesting

Fast-paced, interesting, but also repetitive. I found myself to be confused at times, but maybe I just need to give this a second go-round....

Very good review of basic logic, and points out just how or where these fallacies often are used in theological arguments.
