Deborah Bladon has never read a romance hero she didn't like. Her love for romance novels began when she was old enough to board the bus, library card in hand to check out the newest Harlequin paperbacks. She's a Canadian by heart, and by passport, but you can often spot her in New York City sipping a latte and looking for inspiration for her next story. Manhattan is definitely her second home.

She cherishes her family and believes that each day is a gift for writing, for reading, and for loving.

4.5 HOLY HOTNESS STARS

I was recommended this series by a couple of good friends of mine. One being the lovely Eda!! I was told these were really quick reads and crazy HOT!! Well I can confirm after reading Book One, this is most definitely a SIZZLING HOT series so far!! Ladies, we have ourselves another SEXY as hell, filthy talker!! HELLO!!!

Ben and Kayla meet on a late night flight from Boston to NYC. They're immediately attracted to each other, and end up having hot and downright dirty sex in a Manhattan hotel room. They don't waste any time!! I mean on page two the sex and dirty talking begins, and I am not kidding when I say I may have blushed a few times!!

"Your cunt is as beautiful as the rest of you."
"Lick my fucking clit."

Damn!! Usually the heroines in books are not brazen enough to talk dirty or demand what they want done to them during sex, but Kayla, she doesn't mess around. The girl's just had her heartbroken by her ex and is looking to lose herself in a one night stand that will end up having her experience the BEST sex she has ever had.

So the two go their separate ways, only knowing each other's first names and not much else. Kayla is staying with friends while she goes about getting a job with her old company and acquiring an apartment. One night, while leaving a club, as luck would have it, she runs into Ben! Looks like they both are still very much attracted to each other and I'm ready for round two of the sexy times. BUT, Kayla has a little mishap and ends up in an ER. This is where she learns that Ben is a DOCTOR!! Hmmm....I did likey this A LOT!! A sexy Doctor with a gift for talking dirty!!

It also appears to be a small world because Ben and Kayla have a connection. There is someone in Kayla's life at the moment, who also has a history with Ben. Ben has demons from his past that he's not ready to share with Kayla and the relationship they might be starting to build may just end up crumbling because there are outside forces trying to keep them apart.

I really enjoyed this first book. Ben is all kinds of yummy and the sex is wickedly HOT!! A great book to read if you're looking for a filler in between books. :)

** 3,5-4 "I may have a fever for you Dr. Sexy!" STARS **

As some of you might already know, I am a medical student so NATURALLY I was very excited to hear that 's new work would be about a sexy doctor.

And no one else than Noah Foster's (You may know him from ) twin brother...

Dr. Ben Foster !

aka...

Kayla Monroe is the kind of woman that leaves her entire life behind for the man she is in love with. And that's exactly what she has done for her d*ck-of-an-ex-boyfriend Parker: She has left her friends, her work, her whole life as she knows it in New York behind and moved to Boston. She hates Boston now. And she sure as hell hates Parker's guts for dumping her, after confessing his undying love to her for months!

Now she has nowhere to go in NY except one of her closest friend's apartment that she shares with her fiancee, who are a couple that we know very closely actually : Alexa and Noah!

GOSH, I realized I've missed Noah so much while reading this...

Anyways... On the plane from Boston to NY, Kayla sits next to a hot-as-hell stranger that makes her panties soaked by just the way he talks. Trying to quiet the heartache Parker caused, she jumps right into bed with this man, Ben, once they're off the plane and -unfortunately- parts ways with him after a magical night of passion.

When their roads cross again, Ben is reluctant to let her go this time.

"Please don't go. I've thought about you for weeks. Tonight is the first night I've been out since then. It's fate that we're here together.

Kayla, I can't let you go yet."

A little accident leads the way for Kayla to learn who Ben really is: He is Noah's twin brother, Dr. Ben Foster! He is the brother that Noah hasn't seen or spoken to for years. He is the brother that Noah despises for some reason. He is the brother that Noah doesn't even want to talk about for a second, not even to Alexa. He is the brother that Noah warns Kayla to stay the hell away from. He is the brother that Noah claims has a black heart and doesn't have the ability to love anybody.

When she confronts Ben about these accusations, all she gets are very vague answers, but she still forgets all about them once she is in this irresistible man's arms...

I've been with Ben. I've felt the tenderness in his touch. I've been nursed back to health by him. I don't see the evil that lives beneath the surface that Noah claims is there.

Ben is afraid that his past might chase Kayla away. He is afraid that his secrets may cause him the loss of her...love.

"I hate that you know him. I hate that you're part of his life."
~ BEN

Kayla is torn between her trust for Noah and her undeniable feelings for Ben, but the fierce connection she shares with Ben seems to outweigh everything else.

Where is the horrible person that Noah talked about? How can a man who has devoted his life to helping people heal be as bad as Noah says he is?

Whatever happens, Ben is determined to keep Kayla to himself. But will the dark secrets shatter her trust for him and drive her away forever?

"You're mine. Noah can't take you away from me. No one can.
~ BEN

The ending is cliffy, as is tradition with all novella series but I think I already know the answers to some questions, so it's not a very painful one.

I hope the ex-boyfriend comes back to NY to stir some sh*t up in Book #2! That'd be mighty fun ehehe!

Even as unrealistic as it is, I love stories where two perfect strangers meet up, hook up, and then later on randomly run into each other. So I was quite excited at how this started out. In fact, I was pretty excited until about halfway through it, when Ben Foster made demands that he had no business asking. It made me angry. And then I was even angrier when Kayla acquiesced. She was presented like a pretty strong minded, independent, level headed character, despite her earlier heartbreak, so it threw me when she just accepted this guy's terms, potentially jeopardizing one of her best friendships to be with him in secret. It just didn't seem like something she would do. I was also a bit turned off with the plot twist. Normally, I don't mind them, but something about this was a little too contrived and melodramatic.

A part of me believes that because this was a relatively short work, things had to happen rather quickly, so perhaps thats the real issue- that it wasn't long enough so some plot lines weren't able to be flushed out. And despite this being part of a serial, I get the impression the other pieces will be just as rushed due to also being short. So I'm currently undecided on reading the others.

Okay, first let me say, that I am in love with Dr. Ben!!! OMG.

I mean, seriously, Ben Foster might as well be one of the most addicting male heroes I've ever read. Wow. Thumbs up for this piece of art, Mrs. Bladon. I love him and all his tormented/dark past. Having read the Vain series, I can say that he might be my favorite of the Foster brothers.

Yep...

Ahem, yes.
Okay, I must once again congratulate the author for creating Kayla Monroe. Now, this heroine is quite different from Bladon's past work-in my opinion- and I can honestly say that I love her. I really do and I feel so bad for her. I won't spoil anything but I can say that fate has played some twisted games on her.
The book has everything. Emotion, solid storyline, excellent writing and some hot scenes that make you go...

I mean, Dr. Foster has some moves.......*swoon*
To conclude this fangirling rant, I will say that the end made me go like this...

Such an agonizing cliffhanger!!! I am hungry for more!!! Seriously cannot wait for the next instalment! Five stars.

3.85 Stars!!!

Story fantastic, hard to put down. Sex scenes...okay but I do tend to drift through them quickly to get back to the story.

Kayla is on her way back to New York City from Boston where she lived with her boyfriend and love of her life....he dumped her after begging her to move there with him...a man she met and fell in love with in High School. Then just like that it is over. Strange, right? Well, she is devastated and runs back to NYC where her best friend Alexa lives and back to the life she was building there.

She meets this hot doctor on the plane and they decide to hook up for the night....hot, sexy night and then they part ways. Only they meet in front of a club a few weeks later and decide to continue their sexy trist. And as they learn about each other you can feel this relationship build. What we and Kayla don't know but find out is that this guy...this doctor....this Ben is actually her best friend, Alexa's boyfriend/fiancee's twin brother and they hate each other.

All Noah can tell her is to get away from him, he is a manipulating, selfish dog and he hurts everyone who get's in his way. But the evidence is not there. He is so tender and sweet and kindhearted....she knows it and feels it. She doesn't want to stop seeing him but is getting more and more pressure from Alexa and Noah to do that. No one wants to tell her what this all about and while at Ben's one night Noah and Alexa show up to confront Ben and get Kayla out of his apartment. They felt they were saving him! In the middle of that confrontation the real reason why Noah hates Ben comes out and Kayla is shocked. Perhaps Ben is not who she thinks he is.

This is a three part story....about 80 pages long...a great story, can't wait to continue with part two...I wish I felt their attraction more....I believe it but I like to really feel it in my gut. Still a good read and looking forward to more sexy Doctor Ben!

So you meet this guy on an airplane, hook-up with him? and then you find out he’s a compassionate doctor and you know for a fact that he has really, really, really good bedside manner Who cares about the rumors?

I love Ben! Ben, Noah's TWIN brother? Yes, please! Move over, Noah.. and Nathan. Ben has taken up residency and is officially my new favorite and I don’t even know him all that well, but what I do know is that I CAN’T WAIT UNTIL BOOK 2 IS RELEASED!

I know longer read the synopsis for Deborah’s books, I just buy them, and read them -- I always know I am going to love them, her talents amazes me.

Honestly, I am not sure how it’s humanly possible to have released as many books as she has, this year.. And I’ve loved every series thus far, her writing is awesome. I love that she keeps her readers up to date with characters from the previous books. How she keeps their stories straight is just beyond me, and I love it! PLEASE, DON’T EVER STOP!

This was my first series by Deborah Bladon and I think I may have read them out of turn. They are quick, steamy, entertaining reads.
The story of Ruin pairs a doctor and a recently single heroine , who unbeknownst to them already have baggage before they even really get a chance. The best friends story was the earlier series I believe but I couldn't stand her in this story so I probably won't go back and read it.

I recommend you read the Vain series before you start this one. This series is about Kayla, Alexa´s friend and it is also alot about Noah and Alexa, so read Vain first. This takes place a few months after Vain ends.
Good start to this series. Obviously everything is not as it seems at first and excited to see what will happen next...

Dr Ben Foster is a Hot Alpha Male with a dirty mouth and a dark secretive past.

I'm so glad all the books in this series are released as this book ends in a major cliffhanger.

Not sure why I haven't read this series sooner, but Dr. Ben Foster is incredibly sexy!! I didn't read the series prior to this one that introduces Noah Foster, but the story line seems to be fine without reading it.

Whew! Fanning myself. The opening is hot, hot, and hot. Be warned RUIN is erotica, the kind between a man and woman, which is to say this is not an m/m romance but one of m/f nature. Or easily said: between a man and a woman. Yes, I know. This is a repeat.

I’m having a bit of fun. The change in reading genre is giving me a most needed boost to reading enjoyment.

Okay RUIN, Part 1 is a very short and did I say, a hot, sexy story. Under the steam is a mysterious issue the writer keeps well hidden under the surface of the emotion of the MC, Kayla and Ben.

I’m not sure I like Kayla. She’s on the rebound of a failed relationship. She’s desperate to lose herself from the reality of her current situation. She meets Ben and wow, together they’re explosive in the most intimate of ways. They have known each other for a short period of time and yet she’s demanding (or insisting) Ben reveals his deep and dark secrets. The time and place she makes demands blows my mind.

She has not given herself the time to heal. But she rushes to discover information all because of his her best friend and the man she will be marrying.

Ben Foster is coming off as sweet and innocent. Lovely man who has one bad habit that needs curbing.

The ending to this short story will have you chomping at the bit wanting the next part. The author oh so cruelly leaves the reader hanging off a cliff.

For the most part, RUIN is well written with minor flaws.

Recommended: Most definitely, keeping in mind this is an ADULT story. It’s short and the ending is more HFN.

NOTE:

The book was originally released in three parts for $.099 each. The entire story is available at Barnes & Noble and at Amazon for $2.99.

Kayla meets a handsome stranger on the plane while experiencing a moment of weakness, mending a broken heart after her high school sweetheart walks away from their relationship. Parker's decision to leave her blindsided her, & yet she can't deny the physical chemistry with Ben so she lets herself have one night with him. This links Ben & Kayla together since it was so explosive & unexpected that they can't seem to stay away from each other. Yes girls, Ben is an amazing dirty talker & walks the walks if you know what I mean! He delivers on every one of his dirty promises. Kayla & Ben's lives are intertwined since Ben is Noah's twin, the fiance of Kayla's best friend Alexa. Now Kayla is stuck since the twins have deep resentment for each other & her involvement might destroy her friendship with Alexa. Can't really go into details but there is a very intriguing story as to what split these twins apart & who is to blame. It is difficult to figure out who is telling the truth between these two boys, and who might just be seeing what they want to see because of a broken heart. Awesome start to the series & I one-clicked book #2 immediately. Kayla should really walk away from Ben since everything is so complicated but I have a feeling she won't.

She's done it again. First of all let me say that I am happy that Deborah brought back Noah and Alexa in this book. I couldn't believe that Noah had a twin brother. That really through me off, but I like that this book shows Kayla's maturity. I remember her in Vain and how wild she truly was. I'm glad that she decided to stop sleeping around. I don't know if it's me, but I feel like there's more to Ben than what meets the eye. The secret that has kept so much disdain between the brothers has me thinking that there is so much more to the story and I can't wait to read more. I'm itching to find out what Ben has to say to explain himself but I think I've already fallen in love with him so what he has to say I'm sure it won't matter to me. I can't wait for the next installment.

I picked up this book because I was very bore with my life this saturday. This book was really stupid but its saving grace is that it is not rage inducing.

Kayla has just broken up with her boyfriend and in her fly back home she meets this dude and she has sex with him. The problem with his scenario is that very little prelude is given before they have sex and it ends up reading forced and mechanical. The characters have no personality and everyone is basically carboard cutout.

The plot is the dumbmest crap, it reads like a really, really bad episode of Days of Our Lives. You have the feuding brothers, the friends who fall in love with the guys, the family drama from hell that is so badly paced and written you just yawned.

This book is so lame, I'm glad it was cheap.

I love that this series is facilitating the going story of the Vain trilogy. Although I loved Vain I felt that there still needed to be some way to see what happened with Noah and Alexa and this is it, Vain. Who knew that Noah had a twin brother? That twin brother is Ben the hero of this book and the heroin, Kayla, is the best friend of Alexa from the previous book. The two stories are integral and intwined. So far so good with Ben and Kayla's relationship and storyline. I'm looking forward to the next book in the story which is due out next week.

I don't understand how is it possible for a normal woman to sleep with a stranger she had met in a flight without even knowing him. Surely it could be expected from a whore. Not from a decent lady from a good family background. The story doesn't have a strong plot plus not much of character development. I can't really picture Kayla and Ben in my mind. It's too short for a novel despite being in three books. The story could have been wrapped up in one book.

Good book, rather short (I read it in apx 2 hours.). What cliff hanger! Kinda different from her other books in that the good scenes were kinda short and to the point, no over the top descriptions that made me think, they left me wanting more. Oh well it was a great part one and I'm waiting for part two lets hope .99 is a going price for part two as well.
