In this sensational New Adult debut by Alex Rosa, boyfriends are too much trouble. So what’s the harm in a little fun?

With an abusive relationship behind her, Skyler moves out of her Orange County apartment, changes her phone number, cuts ties with her friends, and moves in with her brother Josh, a talent agent with a spare room in his incredible house in Hollywood.

Josh is happy to take Skyler under his wing, but he has one rule: she can’t sleep with his roommate, Blake. That’s fine by Skyler. She doesn’t want a man in her life right now—and certainly not cocky Blake who’s with a different girl every night. But his all-American boy charm and his ripped model physique are difficult to refuse. Josh will never know if no one ever tells him. And a little secret now and then never hurt anyone

Last year, I read Tryst by Alex Rosa and I remembered rating it but forgot to write a review and so I decided to re-read the book since I knew I will be reading the follow-up book Entangled next.

In Tryst, Alex Rosa takes her readers on a sexy angsty journey of two roommates who discover that maybe this thing between them is best left to be explored. And not only is Blake and Skyler are roommates but Blake is best friends with Skyler’s older brother. So hence, Blake and Skyler must keep their relationship a secret since Josh has informed Skyler of Blake’s manwhore ways.

“We are all trying to get over the person who broke our hearts. We are all far from perfect.

Like any typical manwhore, Blake has no problems with attracting the ladies since it is a never ending of revolving door. But what happens when the door finally stops and Blake takes notices of his best friend’s little sister. Well, you get an angsty, sexy, steamy and emotional romance brewing between two people who found comfort, love, and solace with one another. So can a relationship that started off as a secret friends with benefits turn into something more?

Tryst by Alex Rosa is a great story that had incorporated the right amount of angst and steam to keep any readers entertained. Ms. Rosa perfectly brought forth a romance that had depth, understanding, friendship, laughter, and new beginnings. So can a romance brew between two roommates? I guess the only way to find out is to read this book and get lost in this crazy sexy world of Blake and Skyler.

I loved the premise of this book. I love when the heroine falls for her brother’s best friend especially when that best friend is a model and has a revolving door of women coming in and out of his bedroom. What can I say…I love those stories.

Skyler is left with little choice but to move in with her brother after she leaves her abusive boyfriend. Blake is Josh’s best friend and roommate and Skyler is warned to stay away from Blake. Skyler knows she should stay away from him. Skyler sees how many women go through the apartment for Blake, but no matter how hard she tries, she can’t keep her distance from Blake.

I wanted to love this book, but I unfortunately I didn’t. The characters and the premise were there, but the execution of the story was not. The flow of the character’s verbiage and actions felt awkward. Skyler was pre-med, but some of her actions and behaviors felt immature. The way she behaved at the bar and then when Blake’s ex-girlfriend appeared. I love ex-girlfriend drama, but those scenes felt like manufactured drama. My other issue was that I am not a fan of when the heroine states more than once that she should or needs to get laid. I got it the first time she said it.

It was hard for me to connect to Blake and Skyler. I felt that their relationship felt forced. There were times when I felt more connected to Rich and Skyler than Blake and Skyler. This is not a love triangle. Rich is a friend who feels more, but Skyler really has her eyes set on Blake from the beginning.
I saw the author’s intent, but I unfortunately did not feel it.

BLAKE!! Brother's best friend alert! SWOON!

I also loved how strong and determined Skyler was to make changes in her life after extracting herself from a terrible situation. I loved that she only wanted/needed Blake to meet her needs temporarily and that he didn't know what to do with that.

I loved that they developed a frienship over the course of their arrangement and that there was no slut shaming. Skyler enjoyed her time with Blake. Period.

This book was rife with raw angst, delicious sexual tension, and toe-curling romance. It kept me riveted from beginning to end. I highly recommend this New Adult romance!

My star rating for TRYST is: 4 out of 5 stars. :)

My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review after reading an
ARC Copy of ‘TRYST(via:BooksMoviesFandoms.wordpress.com):

“TRYST is a new contemporary romance and the debut novel for author Alex Rosa. I was given the opportunity the read and review a copy of this enjoyable and sexy read that follows the female character as she moves in with her protective older-brother after breaking apart from a terrible relationship. What she did not expect was her brother’s roommate and best friend. You’ll be getting the story straight from the main character Skyler’s P.O.V.(point of view).

Skyler was in love. At least, that’s what she thought until her now ex-boyfriend Jason became abusive and a nightmare. Skyler is a beautiful girl with dark curly-hair and lovely blue eyes that held so many secrets for the 2-year relationship she finally was able to escape. She finds her escape when she moves in with her protective older-brother Josh, who would do anything to take care of his sister and make up for being away when he left for school. He’s now a successful talent agent and Skylar is a determined pre-med student. When she moves in with Josh, she finally gets a chance to meet his best friend and roommate Blake. The one rule her brother Josh gave her when she moved in was to never hook-up or date Blake. Not a big deal, she thought at the time.

Blake Everett has the good looks of a classic actor and sexy model, which happen to also be his career goals. He is ridiculously sexy, has an alluring smile and a confidence that he always seems to exude. He doesn’t make a great first impression when he meets Skyler and the whiny voice of his latest hook-up coming from his bedroom doesn’t help much either. Skyler knows the one rule and thinks it will be easy to follow to have a roof over her head. Stay away from Blake. Simple. Easy, right? He’s not her type. But he is easy on the eyes but yeah, not her type at all.

Her TA and friend Richard “Rich is more her style and the kind of guy Josh would like to see Skyler with. But there has always been something in the way of that ever progressing beyond study dates, a little flirtation and the possibilities never flourishing to anything real. The more Skyler gets to know Blake, the more she feels confused by her initial assessment of him. And, the more Blake gets acquainted with Skyler, she just begins to seem like more than just his best friends little sister.

The sexual tension is high and the romance thrives in such an exciting way. Will Skyler’s past interfere with her present life changes? Is Blake’s past going to always be who he is when it comes to women? Did Josh make a good call to warn his sister away from Blake? This story was enticingly good and the characters were all very likeable except for the ones meant to be unlikeable, of course. Blake’s character is sexy, intoxicating and definitely has potential at being book-boyfriend worthy. The scenes between Skyler and Blake are definitely a mix of steamy and exhilarating. I recommend this if you’re looking for your next little book “Tryst. Check this one out.

I saw this book on Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ quite some time ago and I put it's release date in my calendar so I could buy it on it's release date. When I saw that it was available on Net gallery I was really excited and really hoped I would get accepted to review this book.
Thankfully Net Gallery accepted my request and I couldn't be more thankful.
My review is on behalf of Net Gallery and PENGUIN GROUP BERKLEY. I absolutely loved this book. It lived up to my expectations and more.
The story had a great dose of humour, love, angst, drama and forbidden love, what more could you ask for in a book?!
Styler is a amazing character and person. She has no idea how great she is. She is very low on self esteem and has serious commitment issues. She has suffered through a abusive relationship which has caused her to have these issues. He has worn her down to the point she feels she was worth nothing. Luckily Skyler got to her breaking point in the relationship and moves to be with her brother in a Orange County. She decides to cut contact with everybody in her old life and I felt so proud of her for that. It must of took so much for her to face the reality of her life and get the courage to leave her whole life behind her, especially cutting contact with her friends to just so her ex had no chance of reaching her. I really wanted to just give her a huge hug and tell her how proud I am of her for her courage to leave her live behind and I desperately wanted her to no she wasn't worthless at all. In fact she was a wonderful, loving, courageous person who I wanted to hug through my kindle,
Blake is Skyler's brother (Josh) best friend and lives with him to.
Blake is a charming, draw droopingly gorgeous man whore. He sleeps around with everyone and anyone. Josh makes it very clear that Blake is to stay away from Skyler. Josh is very very protective of her, he knows what she's been through and does jot want Blake treating her as a one night stand like he does every women.
Blake captured my heart immediately though. He may of been a man whore, but I could see the good in him straight away and I knew he was going to be a great character.
Skyler didn't take to Blake straight away but she was attracted to him. She didn't want to let on to him she was sexually attracted to him, however Blake had a instant attraction and wasn't shy about his feelings. Blake however wasn't a reformed character and he does some very awful things to make Skyler jealous because they are both fighting their attraction for one another and they both know they can't do anything because Blake has promised his best friend he would stay away from Skyler and Skyler is dealing with the after arty if a abusive relationship.
I read the book in one night. I was gripped with the storyline and just loved loved loved Blake.
I couldn't get enough of him. His character made the whole story. He was so well developed and interesting that I couldn't help but fall in love with him. I think I may have to make him my new book boyfriend. Lol
I loved the whole taboo subject in the book as I'm a fan of these types of books. I loved the games, the push and pull and the angst between the couple throughout. There was so much drama through the whole book that I couldn't get enough.

My Thoughts:

Tryst is a debut New Adult Romantic standalone written by Alex Rosa! I loved this fun, flirty, and sexy story! I can't wait to see what Ms. Rosa writes next. I really enjoyed her fast-paced and enthralling writing style! Tryst had me smiling from ear to ear. This story gave me goosebumps, butterflies, and that giddy feeling, that falling in love brings.

Skylar (Skye) recently got out of a toxic and abusive relationship. She has a restraining order against her ex, and has had to change her phone number, and find a new place to live. When Skye's brother, Josh, offers for her to move in to his town home, she is grateful. Skye is very close to Josh, and is looking forward to spending quality time with her older brother. Josh only has one rule; Skye needs to stay away from his best friend and room mate, Blake. She quickly agree's to her brother's wishes. However, she is captivated when she see's how gorgeous Blake is. Yet, when Skye see's that he sleeps around, she is disgusted.

There is no denying the sexual tension and chemistry that Skye and Blake share. While they get off to a rough start, Blake is determined to make it up to Skye. While Skye tells Blake she just wants a friendship with Blake, it is obvious that he wants more. As the two of them begin interacting with one another more, and their attraction escalates, they agree to a secret "friend's with benefits" relationship. However, things don't always go as planned. Will insecurity, jealousy, and deeper feelings ruin Skye and Blake's tryst? Or, can something meaningful, and beyond either one of their expectations come out of this casual arrangement?

Tryst was a delicious treat! Blake is what dream book boyfriend's are made of; sexy, sweet, vulnerable, romantic, and irresistible! I enjoyed the fun, flirty, and fiery verbal back and forth banter between Skye and Blake, as well as their passionate, sensual, and spontaneous encounters. Secondary characters Josh, and Skye's good friend's Tucker, Jennifer, and Vanessa were fun to read about as well.

My Rating:

I give, Tryst, by Alex Rosa, 4.5 Flirty Banter, Intimate, Sensual, Passionate Reverie Filled Stars! This was an excellent, addictive, and enjoyable easy read! I highly recommend this page-turning, spine-tingling, and sensational romantic debut!

Tryst is a standalone new adult contemporary romance. It is a fun romp with the brothers best friend turned secret romance trope. It is a fun read that will have you fanning yourself. I am even more impressed when I found out that this was Alex Rosa's debut New Adult novel. Tryst is just what the name implies, a fun, sexy romance. It is the story of Skylar, a pre-med serious student and soccer player. She puts her schooling first, but after a nasty (and I do mean nasty) breakup she moves in with her older brother to continue attending college. I really did like the brother sister relationship that Skylar and Josh shared. I know she had her moments of doubt, but I feel like Josh really stepped up in the family department. (both of their parents passed away.)

And then you have Blake. Blake is josh's roommate and best friend out in LA. He is an enigma wrapped in a contradiction, but he is a yummy one at that. On one hand he seemed to open with Skylar, but in the other hand he didn't really open up about a lot of him at all. It takes a good part of the book to get to know Blake and the funny thing is, you don't even know that you don't know him until things start to get revealed. I know that sounds weird, but I was reading along and totally enjoying the story and I was thinking that Skylar was the one that needed to open up more, and that Blake was up front with her about himself. All that jazz and then bam, some stuff gets revealed about Blake and I was like "whoa! I had no idea he was even holding anything back." You just have to read to know what I am talking about. He is a complicated dude. But I really liked that about him. He is a good person at his core. And he has slamming chemistry with Skylar.

There are lots of roadblocks along the way and it has all the elements that you would expect this trope to have. The sneaking around leads to confusion and jealousy. It was a little predictable, but was nonetheless a very enjoyable ride. I can't wait to read more books by Alex Rosa. Tryst really delivered. If you are looking for a fun and sexy read, look no further than Tryst.

The book blurb may have been what drew my attention to TRYST, but author Alex Rosa's voice kept me throughly engaged in a witty, tangled and emotional roller coaster of a storyline.

Skyler finds herself moving into her brother's condo after escaping an abusive relationship. He's happy to have her and only lays down one rule: don't fall for his best friend Blake. That immediately made me wonder what was wrong with Blake. But we soon discover Blake is that guy. The player. The different woman every night, player. But he's different with Skyler, practically from the moment she meets him in the kitchen in his boxer briefs. He can be a bit of an a-hole, but you can see that he uses that as a defense. Which is very similar to what Skye does with her sarcasm.

Skye and Blake were perfect for each other, in a rather imperfect way. The both hid behind lies, which they told each other and themselves, as they feel harder for each other. The continued to play a game that hurt the two of them, rather than protect them. But despite those games, there was never a time when I didn't believe these two wouldn't have each others backs. It was there when Skye believed Blake would get the job he wanted or when Blake would do anything to protect Skye from her ex. They had to get over themselves and whatever preconceived notions they had in order to get their HEA...bruises and all.

A truly enjoyable read from a debut author. Alex Rosa gave these characters heart and had me crossing my fingers they'd get it right. This is definitely a book to pick up.

*NETGALLEY ARC REVIEW*

When we start this book, it just starts. We get no back story, no nothing, and I liked that. Why is she here, what happen with her boyfriend? Skyler is living with her big brother and his handsome, model/actor man slut of a best friend.

One rule... Don't date or mess with Blake. Should be simple, right?

I automatically loved Skyler, and even Blake. Made me want to hurt him, a few times.

This book is filled with angst, laughter, forbidden romance. It has it all. I can't wait to read more from this author. She knows how to write and suck us reader's in.

I loved this book. Finished it in a a few hours, could say I kinda got addicted haha. First of all dont you just love the whole forbidden love thing? This was forbidden love on a whole new level, which made each page even more exciting then the first. Just on an added note it just have some sexual content so be aware of that, putting that aside it was a fantastic book.

Review of Alex Rosa´s New Adult debut Tryst.

Tryst is about Skyler, who moves in with her brother Josh after she left her abusive boyfriend and Blake, Josh´s best friend and roommate.

Josh is happy to have Skyler back in his life and only lays down one rule: don't sleep with his best friend Blake. Blake is a womanizer and always has a new flavor of the month. Of course being told to stay away from each other only makes it more of a challenge for both. After a while they agree to become friends with benefits.
The story was ok but not one of the best I have read. I do not like Skyler. One moment she is insecure the next everything is back to normal and I hate how she kept her friend Rich on the hook. She already slept with Blake but still kissed Rich.

The first 75% of the story are really slowly. Fortunately the last 25% were better and had more action. I did not like that at the end there were so many unsolved problems. She never told Rich that a relationship between the two of them is not a possibility. Her Ex appears in the book and wants her back but suddenly he is nowhere seen?

I was disappointed by the book. I really liked the plot summary but the story could have been better developed.

4 out of 5 stars. =)

Tryst was a deliciously enjoyable story about a
college pre-med student named Skyler who recently broke up with
her abusive ex-boyfriend. She moves in with her
older brother Josh and his best friend/roommate Blake.
Blake is sexy, confident, but he's off limits. At first,
he seems like the typical model/actor who loves to bed
as many women as he can but as she gets to know him she
slowly begins to learn there is more than meets the eye.
This was a fun romance, with plenty of sexual tension and
an entertaining storyline. Check this one out. =)

2 Not for me Stars!

I don't know if I was in a bad mood or what but this book just didn't jive for me. I liked the idea of the story even though the forbidden relationship of the brother's best friend and the sister has been a bit over done.

Skyler is escaping from her past relationship. She moves in with her brother and his player of a best friend. Josh the brother has forbidden the two of them from getting together but we all know that just creates more of a cat and mouse challenge for the forbidden couple.

Skyler is going to school, working, trying to get over her ex and leading on one of her friends. In the beginning Skyler comes across a bit lost but starts to make shit decisions causing me to not to like her. Where she started to go downhill for me

Decision 1) Gets drunk at the bar then drinks and drives. Boo bad choice

Decision 2) Doesn't want Blake to know her past? (Why the fuck not? If anything it will make her more endearing to him) Don't get me wrong the issue is cleared up a bit later but she had already beyond annoyed me so the explanation fell on deaf ears for me.

"Skyler, do me a favor and quit thinking like that. If you want to know the truth, this thing you're doing, feeling ashamed of your emotions, is what's getting old, not your tears. For heaven's sake, you're human!" (Amen brother. Well said Blake. It was just too bad that Skyler didn't listen or change her ways)

Decision 3) Leads on her friend who likes her because he is a safe choice or whom she thinks she should go for.

Decision 4) Going into a sex only relationship trying to prove what???

"How curious. Who decided you could see other people?"

"That was my doing. I had to show him I could do it. Plus, I'm not ready to send Rich packing yet, ...."
(WTF? Skylar!)

Decision 5) Runs away from conflicts repeatedly instead of pulling up her big girl panties and dealing with issues.

"Skylar, this what I'm talking about. I love you, but maybe you have to grow up, too. Adults face the truth, no matter how painful. ..." (Word! )

Decision 6) Being all over the map with Rich, Blake, her ex, etc...

"No Blake! You can't love me! I'm broken. And it's too soon." (Well at this point she is all over the map but I thought she was going in the right direction but nope she's broken again. ARGH!!! )

Okay, here are more beefs I have. She's supposed to come across broken but she came across more annoying and pathetic. The storyline with her ex just felt dropped and unfinished. The storyline with Blake's ex felt random and thrown in there to create more angst but felt unnecessary.

The pluses. For the most part I liked Blake even though he too made some shit decisions but he made up for them a lot more. He was patient and accommodating to all of Skylar's negatives where I would have tossed her like a dirty rag. Josh the brother had some good qualities and I don't know if his storyline wasn't completely finished because this book may turn into a series, but there is potential for more of this series with the story lines that felt dropped.

Ugh! I hate it when I have to do a more negative review but this book did cause a visceral reaction out of me but not a good one. After reading it, I was in a bad mood filled with frustration. The book had potential but for me it fell flat in too many areas. I may be like a rare unicorn with this review and others will resonate well with this story, so give it a try, but sadly it wasn't for me.

As a reader quickly counting New Adult as a favorite genre, it's books like this that have me becoming obsessed with the genre. With its likable main and secondary characters, as well as sizzling sexual tension with a bit of angst, this story had me enthralled from start to finish. It not only put a smile on my face but had me blushing with the sensual and playful banter rife between the main characters, characters you couldn't help but like.

Skyler's come a long way to start her life over after escaping from an abusive relationship. She had to leave everything behind, friends and schooling, to make sure her past stayed in the past. Her brother Josh offers her a haven, a place to make new friends and to find herself again. The only thing he asks from her is to not get involved with his roommate. There's nothing like forbidden fruit though and even as she and Blake start out as enemies they soon become more in an emotionally intense journey to HEA. Skyler's a likable heroine with a bruised heart and low self-esteem. She doesn't think herself worthy of happiness so she makes some bad choices trying to find herself. Using a friend who wants more to create jealousy adds to the sexual tension between her and Blake but left me disappointed at the childish act. Luckily she wizened up before too much damage was done. For the most part though I applaud her standing up for herself and thoroughly enjoyed the sensual tug of war between her and Blake as she gave as good as she got.

Blake at first seems like nothing but a manwhore with his revolving door of women which makes him hard to like. His charm always shows through though and slowly he's able to form a connection with Skyler based on their mutual pain. He too has been hurt in the past and doesn't want to open his heart again. When he meets Skyler he wages an inner battle to keep his hands off her but once the fire is lit it rages out of control leaving heir relationship a scorching secret. Blake may seem superficial early on but quickly shows great emotional depth, understanding and supporting Skyler in rebuilding herself and dealing with her past once and for all. He's sweet, charming, and sexy and I couldn't get enough of him as he ultimately became the man Skyler needed to heal.

This was a delightful read with witty banter teeming with sexual tension. The sensual battle of wills between Blake and Skyler was thoroughly entertaining with a richly rewarding payoff at the end. Josh was a caring brother who would do anything to keep Skyler safe and happy and I loved seeing his protective side, along with his partying side. The entire cast of characters in fact felt like friends with interactions reminiscent of real life which gave the story energy that kept me turning the pages voraciously. There are many wonderful characters seen throughout this book that could easily carry their own story and I hope Ms. Rosa visits all of them again soon.

This is a tale of two reviews. There's the side where I liked parts and the side when things just got on my nerves. So lets look at both sides.

Parts I liked...

I enjoyed the banter between these two. Blake is used to having girls fall at his feet but Skyler tells him like it is. She intrigues him and brings out the better guy that's inside. They are just plain fun together. They certainly know how to bring the sexy too. I enjoyed the amount of time they spent together, even if it was in secret.

I loved a lot of the secondary characters. Tucker is lots of fun. I love how he gives the best advice to Skyler. Then Jennifer and Vanessa are great too.

There was some interesting conflicts between them. And they communicated well despite the situation. What I loved when people found out. It wasn't quite what I was expecting but it worked.

I love those stories where the man whore finally wants just one girl. And I loved how Blake came to understand that. I love how he told her. I love them snuggling and falling asleep together.

This one has a feel of being closer to life than fiction. I enjoyed that.

Overall, I enjoyed they story but I'm not down for book two. I read the blurb and I think I'm just happy thinking of them together.
Parts that got on my nerves...

In the spirit of cheating this one walks the line. They have a friends with benefits thing going on but it never feels like that emotionally to me. And they both go out with other people. It seriously bugged me. Specially since Skyler knew she wasn't interested in the other guy but it was like she used him. And that other guy was still involved with his ex. Blake had random dates for events and they didn't feel like anything more than eye candy for his arm. But I still didn't like it.

Unresolved plot points. I wonder about Skyler's ex, Jason. I wonder about Rich and what happens with him. I didn't know when I read this that there will be a book two with the same couple. Not sure I would have still read it had I know. I don't like it when a couple gets strung along over two books. I hope these two things will get tied down in that second book, though I think they should have been handled a bit better in this one.

Skyler's brother Josh is a hypocrite and his reaction to Blake and Skyler together feels out of character. He's laid back and frankly not around a lot for most of the book. Actually, I felt his lack of being around in his own house was way to convenient for the storyline. He just didn't make me happy.

I think there are better New Adult books out there and this one is kinda long. Unless you love New Adult and can't get enough, I'd pass on this one.

The one rule that both were given, they seemed to want to break. Is it worth it?

Tryst was a captivating read by Alex Rosa. I read this book in one sitting.

This is Skyler's story. She is in her senior year at UCLA, studying pre-med and is a gorgeous soccer player. She moved to LA with her brother Josh due to an abusive relationship with her ex-boyfriend. Josh was happy to have her around to keep an eye on her. His only rule --- don't sleep with his roommate, Blake. Blake of course got the same order from Josh ---Keep your hands off my sister! I think there is some sort of bro code that you don't go after your best friend's sister and same goes for sibling going after the best friend....but sometimes that makes things much more interesting.

Even though Skyler seems to be rather annoyed by her first encounter with her new roommate, there is undeniable attraction between the two. What type of trouble will they get into and how long will it take them?

Blake is an actor, full of himself and hot. He also happens to be Josh's best friend. He has a reputation of having bedded most of West Hollywood. When he finally meets Skyler, he seems to set his sights on her regardless of Josh's warnings. Their first encounter was full of sexual tension. Skyler seemed rather annoyed yet extremely attracted to Blake. He seemed rather amused and attracted to Skyler right off that bat. What type of trouble will they get into and how long will it take them? With Blake's rep, what does he want with her and how will this affect his friendship with Josh? What does Skyler want and is she willing to upset her brother by breaking his one rule? Guess you'll have to read on to find out!

The story has the typical love confusion, insecurity/jealousy issues, personal baggage and character growth.
I love the chemistry between Skyler and Blake. Their story is well written and one that one can easily relate to.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I’m expecting to read more in the future. Thank you for a great read!

**DEBBIE'S REVIEW**

I have a huge soft spot for a love triangle plot and this was not your typical love triangle per say but it did have a good amount of angst.

I loved the flirty banter in this book. The chemistry between Skyler and Blake was fantastic and extremely hot sometimes. I loved how they teased each other and knew how to get under each other skin. Both of them had troubled pasts so even though Blake was a man-whore, Skyler understood his reasoning’s for why he was the way he was The guy was some serious eye candy to boot!!!!

“Do these lines work on all the other bimbos you bed? Because I think you should take a look at my GPA before you start to make your assumptions.

“Skyler, my eyes are up here.

Skyler just got out of an extremely messed up relationship and her brother Josh had her move in with him and his roommate Blake. Skyler and Blake had one house rule. They are to keeps their hands off each other. This is where things get really interesting. Sometimes no matter how hard you try to fight the attraction the sexual chemistry just keeps showing its ugly head.

“Just don’t sleep with Blake, like, ever. I mean it.

Even though Skyler had been through some terrible things she was strong and did not take any crap from Blake. She called him out on everything. Blake was what I would call misunderstood. He gave off this impression that he was a heartless person that only wanted sex but he had a really sweet side and was burned in the past that made him afraid of relationships. He knew what he wanted and was not going to stop until he got it.

At around 88% my stomach was in knots. I had no idea what was going to happen and wasn’t sure if I wanted to continue reading because I didn’t want my heart to get trampled on.

This is the kind of book that will grab you right away and take you on an emotional ride but yet the flirty banter will have you giddy from time to time. I am looking forward to reading more by this author as I found her writing style to be fantastic.

When your older brother says to not play with fire, that's exactly the first thing you're going to do. When Skyler's brother said to stay away from the womanizing model roommate that's his best friend, Skyler dismisses it when the womanizing model, Blake, is so persistent. Oh, she tried, but what really is the harm in having a little fun?

In Alex Rosa's new adult debut, TRYST encompasses the exact definition of what New Adult really is. While other authors opened the door on this genre, Alex Rosa tore the door off its hinges.

You don't want to miss this romance ... I smell a sequel.

I received a copy of this book for review.
This was a great story about finding love when you weren't looking for it. Skylar has just ended a relationship with her abusive ex. She wants to get far away from him so she goes to live with her brother Josh. She is not looking for a relationship but friends with benefits would be ok...right?
Blake is Josh's roommate he is essentially well a man whore to be honest. He isn't looking for anything he likes sex and doesn't usually have the same woman twice. Put together these two start out like oil and water. The problem is the underlying attraction that is getting harder to ignore. However they have more obstacles between them Josh has told them they are not to get involved and neither one wants more than sex. Skylars past rears its ugly head and causes her to relive it. Surprisingly the one who is there for her is Blake. The line between love and hate is pretty thin or is it just lust?
Wonderful story with great secondary characters that tie it all together.

Absolutely love this book.. with all my heart!
How could I not when it has everything a girl might want: love, drama, and a healthy dose of laughter! It is also jammed packed with coffee and pretty cool best friends.
The first story on WattPad that made me excited and nervous every time it was updated, made my heart skip a beat every time there was an update!
We have our lovely Skyler, who after going through hell and surviving just makes you want to give her a big hug and attack who ever wants to hurt her! She doesn't realize just how amazing she is, because she is!
Then there is the guy named Blake you better prepare yourselves because you're going to want one! He's going to make you fall for him and you won't even see it coming! He's just perfect!

Overall you're going to love it.

Did I forget to mention that the author is pretty damn awesome? Because she is! interacts with her readers on a daily basis which just makes her more amazing!

Review: Tryst by Alex Rosa
Genre: New Adult/ Contemporary Romance

Rated 3.5 Stars

"Tryst" is a fun and sexy new adult romance. Alex Rosa delivered a great story with characters that draw the reader into their story. It's a quick read and the story held my attention. I loved Blake. He's a cocky manwhore, but he's fun and likeable. Skylar moves in with her brother after escaping an abusive relationship and Blake is her brother's off limits roommate. I loved their interactions together and the growth of the characters throughout the book. Their chemistry was off the charts and the romance was hot when they got together. I recommend this book for new adult romance lovers looking for a fun and sexy read this summer. I'll be keeping an eye out for Alex Rosa's next book! She's a new author to watch.

What are you to do when you move in with your older brother and his best friend and the one rule is don’t sleep with the best friend, well sleep with the best friend of course.

It’s fun watching Skye and Blake sneak around and learn each other in stolen moments while tempting fate to not get caught. Both are working on moving on from past relationships. Both are immature in the ways of love and relationships but are unknowingly growing together.

Usually I like having both POVs but I think having Skye’s was enough in this story. Blake’s intentions come through with his actions. He doesn’t always say the right things but he shows his feelings pretty clear.

Fun, flirty, adventurous read with lots of fun forbidden coupling. Forbidden, of course, makes everything better.

Blake, I loved him, he was quite charming, "he scratches at his naked abdomen, and watch his fingertips graze his chiseled stomach. "Skyler my eyes are up here." He's willing to go to the extermes for his woman, "I'm going to let your brother beat the s*** out of me to prove that I love you." I enjoyed this book, although I felt the ending was rushed and.although there was a HEA I think there should be more to Blake and Skyler.

I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. I loved this book!! sometimes the characters get a little predictable, but in this book I was presently surprised! the dynamics between all the characters was amazing. when being told to not do something, that just makes us want to do it...and so the story of tryst takes off. I loved how the story developing and never felt rushed. I will be reading more from this amazingly talented author.
