Strictly Addicting!!! Yes, that’s what comes into my mind when I think of Ella Fox’s newest release, Strictly Temporary. I practically devoured this book in one sitting and loved it. This was the first book that I have read from the talented Ella Fox and it surely won’t be my last. As I was reading Strictly Temporary, I was instantly hooked with all the characters and yes I had to one-click Ms. Fox’s Hart Box Set Series because I needed more books to read from Ella Fox.
Strictly Temporary was an emotional, heartbreaking, sexy, and swoon-worthy book. From the prologue to the last page, Ms. Fox will have you consumed with a storyline that was beautifully delivered and written. Ella has an ability to allow readers to feel. To feel the emotional pain, hurt, vulnerability, anger, and love. I was truly mesmerized and invested in getting to know the characters since all her characters felt so real.
Arden Winger was the Small Towne girl, who wanted to escape her small town of small-minded people. Judged and picked on, all Arden wanted to do was to be left alone. She was in her own bubble where she was temporarily content but that bubble was to burst when a popular boy from her hometown tried to pursue her. Letting her guard down, she let him into her heart and little did she know, it was just a game and bet for him and his friends. Soon Arden found herself naked, humiliated and taunted. Her virginity taken and made a fool. Trust was stolen. A heart was shattered.
Exton Xavier Alexander is the sexy alpha male of Hollywood. Limelight, fame, rumors and women constantly surrounds Exton. He is believed to be a playboy and whose rise of notoriety is this sex tape that’s been circulating in the public. But like all things Hollywood, things can be a facade and rumors tend to be exaggerated. For Exton, he was never against love till it was staring straight at him. If you want swoon-worthy and panty-melting, alpha hero, then I highly suggest you meet Exton Alexander. He will make your heart go pitter-pat when he constantly tells his girl thats she’s the one. His love and devotion to Arden will touch your heart and have you saying AWWW!! You gotta love a man who knows what he wants and I know what I want. Simply, I want more Exton Alexander. So Ms. Ella Fox, please hurry and release book 2 soon because I am dying to know what’s going to happen next with Exton and Arden.

Not what I thought. I should be used by being let down by a book. The heroine is 25 years old whiny and a bad case of low self esteem because she's curvy ( to her she's fat and not attractive- rolling eyes here) and everybody sees her as sexy, not her of course. She's judgmental and ridiculous. And I don't think that anyone ( boy (in a plan with his girlfriend and friends)in this case) around 19, 20 years old would get married to win a bet he would take a girls virginity. And 5 years later this hot famous actor falls for her at first sight-rolling eyes again- but she pushes him away at every corner being rude. And he is there all the way " breaking up the wall around her heart" - another eye rolling. This is more like Sci-fi not a romance fiction.. This so not happens. Now, heading into book 2 and find out how more immature, annoying, whining, ridiculous and stupid this girl can be and how unbelievably the hero will still fight for her with all his power. Eye rolling

This is the first installment of a new series from Ella Fox. Arden Winger works for Sabrina and Dante Hart (A bonus for lovers of the Hart Family series!). In the course of business she is acquainted with Exton Alexander a gorgeous, wealthy manwhore. Arden steers clear of relationships and men. She was ridiculed growing up in Small Towne ( I kid you not, that is the name of the town) Her mom fell for the charms of a real creep who cut out and ran when she got pregnant. The town took its prejudices out on her and made her life miserable.
When she graduated high school, she went to Bronson, a town not too far from Small Towne for college. Ricky Greenway, the guy she crushed on in high school instigated his way into her life. Arden had her guard up, but he broke down her defenses and she let him in. And let him into her life and her heart in a big way-she married him. What happened next is the stuff nightmares are made of and I have to confess, it seemed far fetched and the motivations behind it seemed too petty for someone to go that far. Arden will not allow herself to lower her guard again.
My body ached in places it never had before, my head was swimming, my stomach was churning and never in my entire life had I felt so stupid.
But Exton relentlessly pursues her until she convinces herself that a date doesn't mean anything. She can enjoy his company but her heart will remain encased in ice. Well things don't exactly turn out that way and these two can barely keep their hands off of each other. Exton is a good guy, and wants Arden because he feels things for her that he never felt for other women, even if she doesn't trust him or his motives.
As they grow closer and Arden is finally ready to let go of her mistrust, a hurtful, devastating ghost from her past is going to come back to haunt her. She panics and runs. Why, when her heart is opening up to Exton, must her life fall apart again? Talk about cliffys! Looking forward to the next installment in this series.

I absolutely loved Strictly Temporary by Ella Fox, though I shouldn't be surprised with how much I loved it since I've absolutely loved everything Ella Fox has ever written. I simply can't get enough of her writing style, the highly engaging stories and characters she creates, and the heat and fireworks that just burst off the pages of her books.
This book just captured me in the instant I started it to the point where I could not put it down. Strictly Temporary gives you two fantastic characters you'll instantly fall in love with.
First you have Arden. You get to see Arden at a few different points of her life in this book, and I really enjoyed getting to read and experience her character at those different points. Getting to read that just made me feel for her character immensely, especially for what she goes through. And let me tell you, she goes through one heck of a doozy that will have you wanting to reach in and make it all better for he.
Arden's character just felt extremely authentic to me. Her emotions, her doubts and questions, and her hesitations felt natural and real and that allowed me to connect to her character when reading Strictly Temporary. Arden will feel like a real life breathing female when you meet her character, and you're going to love stepping into her dynamic head.
Exton Alexander is surely one of the most desirable male characters that I've ever read. He's got a bit of a torrid past, but there's way more to this man than meets the eye. He is so fierce and so passionate and the moment he meets Arden, he wants her. Exton was the epitome of a fantastic male character, and Ella Fox has once again created a male character that just about melted my heart...or other things on just about every other page. Exton was just so dynamic and I literally cannot wait for more of him. The fight and the fierceness that that man has just kind of blew me away in the most amazing way.
Strictly Temporary follows what happens when Arden and Exton explore if the immense amount of chemistry and connection they're feeling is strictly temporary or something more. Let me tell you that when these two are together, you will feel they're spark in your heart and it's most definitely going to bring a certain kind of blush to your face.
What Ella Fox creates and develops between these two will have you rooting like crazy that these two can get their feisty acts together because what they share is nothing short of spectacular.
This book also gives you some supporting characters that will have you jumping for joy (or maybe that was just me!) They are fabulous and I love them to pieces, and that's all I'm saying about them because you're going to have to read this book to find out what I'm talking about.

It's got two fierce characters whose story will captivate you immediately with its push and pull, it's oh so fantastic build, and firework level explosion. Ella Fox has done it again! She has reeled me in with new characters and she has surprised me with bringing back the Harts as the friends of the main characters. It was like Christmas for me! I was able to see more of Dante and Sabrina as well as read about her new characters Exton Alexander and Arden Winger.
Arden is a young lady who has been traumatized growing up. She has lived through something so horrible and tragic, I don't know how she was able to move on with her life. Arden picked up and moved far away from her home town to start a new life, this is where she becomes close friends with Sabrina Hart.
Exton is a sexy successful man. He's smart and has made a wonderful life for himself... until the moment he trusted someone to much and they made a mockery of him.
Exton meets Arden at a bar during a private party the Harts had. He wanted her right away but she wanted nothing to do with him. Well, she did but she wasn't letting him know that. She refuses to date, she's tried a few times, but it's just not her thing. She is focused on her career and her friends. But will Exton give up easily? Will he lure her to a temporary arrangement of just fun and sex?
Strictly Temporary ROCKED! I can't wait for more Exton and Arden to see where their chance meeting takes them. These characters had a real charming connection and I was sucked into this book from page 1! I promise you that once you start reading, you won't be able to put it down. hmmm...
Not sure what happened with this book. I've read the Heart Family series and the Renegade Saints and I rated them four and five stars. So I was pretty disappointed this book fell so short!
To be blunt, Arden is a whiney and somewhat childish woman. And her low self esteem is beyond annoying, like seriously, go see a counselor for some self help. He story of her heartbreak is a little weird and far-fetched too, especially for 20-something year olds....I don't think people do that at that age, do they? It just seems way, way childish. Awful without a doubt, but I would think those kids have something better to do at 20 yrs of age!
Suffice it to say, I will not be buying book #2 in this series (which, I guess there will be one, although the ending wasn't some big cliff hanger that led to an obvious book 2).

Exton and Arden odd names but I love that it's different.
Arden has been through some messed up stuff in her life so of course when she meets playboy Exton she has all her walls up!
Oh Exton typical playboy/alpha male/sexy beast I want to have his babies.
Yeah that sums it up.
Ella did a great job of showing their relationship grow and them becoming close even though this book wasn't very long.
Sex scenes. .. well come on its Ella freaking Fox!! She knows how to write those "down and dirty super sexy oh my god that was so effin hot" scenes! !! ;)
Now that ending wasn't all that. I really wanted something with more of a bang. But it did keep me interested enough to want book two asap!
Can't wait for more Exton and Arden!

This was an okay simple read. Fast paced, with a whiny heroine. One of those type of women that downs and degrades herself. This started out good, but became a little unrealistic. I guess I just can't believe that someone would date a person and marry them to win a bet.

Small Towne Judgments…Small Towne Prejudice…Small Towne Bullying
That’s the kind of town Arden Winger grew up in, and she experienced all the “shitty behavior� that comes with being looked down at due to her upbringing in a place where everyone knows everyone else’s business and feels the need to exploit and gossip about it. Her life there and the subsequent actions of a group of assholes altered Arden’s life in inexplicable ways and forced her to face some hard truths about life � ones she refuses to adjust/alter even years later. Arden learned the hard way that being a hopeless romantic, absorbed in books is not the way for her to live because she refuses to be played a fool by anyone ever again…even if it’s a hot and sexy Hollywood heartthrob with the nickname of Triple X.
Exton Alexander may be media’s playboy, but the real man � the man who desperately wants Arden to see him as more than how the gossip rags perceives him � knows something about being played and exploited for someone else’s gain. Being in the public eye all of the time can weigh on a person and make it hard to find anything real, but he truly believes with only one encounter that Arden can be that person for him if she’d only stop placing roadblocks in their way and give into the feelings she has for him.
But Arden’s heart has been irrevocably changed by someone else’s actions, and it’s extremely hard for her to come back from it and truly give herself to another person, especially someone as high profile and womanizing as Exton Alexander appears to be. But as long as Arden only gives him her body, she can maintain the façade of their attraction and feelings for one another being strictly temporary so that she doesn’t get hurt again…at least that’s the plan.
I loved Ella Hart’s The Hart Family series, and I’m ecstatic that readers get more of Sabrina and Dante in her latest release, Strictly Temporary. I missed Sabrina’s larger than life personality, and I loved witnessing her interactions with Arden.
Arden and Exton’s story has the same heat and intensity as all of the stories in the Hart Family series, but what I loved most about Strictly Temporary is Arden’s backstory and the idea that the town she grew up in, Small Towne, can be anywhere in the country, making her circumstances extremely relatable to readers. Anyone who has grown up in a similar situation understands what it means to live in a place like that and go through what Arden dealt with, which only makes Arden more endearing to readers and makes them hope beyond hope that she’ll see that she’s not defined by anyone else’s perceptions and deserves all of the romance and non temporary things she can get her hands on.
Exton Alexander may not have wanted the nickname Triple X, but it’s one that fits him to a tee � he is one FINE alpha male and I love the fact that he fights for Arden even when she’s unwilling to see what’s standing right in front of her. He’s nothing like how the media portrays him to be, and while he may have been a ladies� man, he only wants one woman to call his own and he’s willing to do just about anything to have her � even if it means fighting the woman herself.
What a fantastic start to what I suspect is going to be one hot and heart palpitating ride. With the information that is learned at the end of the first volume, it will be interesting to see the choices both Arden and Exton make and where that leads them.

That’s the kind of town Arden Winger grew up in, and she experienced all the “shitty behavior� that comes with being looked down at due to her upbringing in a place where everyone knows everyone else’s business and feels the need to exploit and gossip about it. Her life there and the subsequent actions of a group of assholes altered Arden’s life in inexplicable ways and forced her to face some hard truths about life � ones she refuses to adjust/alter even years later. Arden learned the hard way that being a hopeless romantic, absorbed in books is not the way for her to live because she refuses to be played a fool by anyone ever again…even if it’s a hot and sexy Hollywood heartthrob with the nickname of Triple X.
Exton Alexander may be media’s playboy, but the real man � the man who desperately wants Arden to see him as more than how the gossip rags perceives him � knows something about being played and exploited for someone else’s gain. Being in the public eye all of the time can weigh on a person and make it hard to find anything real, but he truly believes with only one encounter that Arden can be that person for him if she’d only stop placing roadblocks in their way and give into the feelings she has for him.
But Arden’s heart has been irrevocably changed by someone else’s actions, and it’s extremely hard for her to come back from it and truly give herself to another person, especially someone as high profile and womanizing as Exton Alexander appears to be. But as long as Arden only gives him her body, she can maintain the façade of their attraction and feelings for one another being strictly temporary so that she doesn’t get hurt again…at least that’s the plan.
I loved Ella Hart’s The Hart Family series, and I’m ecstatic that readers get more of Sabrina and Dante in her latest release, Strictly Temporary. I missed Sabrina’s larger than life personality, and I loved witnessing her interactions with Arden.

There is NOTHING Temporary about Strictly Temporary, this is a book you will sink yourself into and it’s going to stick! I seriously 100% hands down LOVED this new delight from Ella Fox. I am a huge fan of everything she writes. She sucked me in with the Hart Boys and has had me ever since. I love her character plots in each and every book and this is no different.
After the first chapter, my jaw was on the floor. One of those, holy ish did THAT really all just happen? Yep, it sure did.
You meet Arden first. You’ll hear about her high school years, how she grew up and how she was treated. When you’re young, you make mistakes. Sometimes you can be naive to what is really going on, which unfortunately happened to Arden. Living in Small Towne was hard on her, she picks up and gets out of dodge and ends up in L.A. away from the hurt, away from the constant judgments.
Guess who else is in L.A? Hart International! Yep, you read that right. There is nothing like reading a book and it tying in with something you read a long time ago. I am seriously reliving my Hart Brothers experiences, through Arden and Exton’s story!
Insert Exton. He spots Arden at a party hosted by the Hart’s. HOLY MOTHER OF BAJJJJAYSUS. Another brilliantly created male character by Ella. Exton has a bad reputation from his lifestyle, one that Arden will surely not overlook. Her guard is up, WAY up but Exton is determined to bring it down. He is sexy, smart and seriously had me melting through the entire book. There are so many sides of Exton, that as a male lead he makes you WANT more.
The dynamic that evolves around Arden and Exton with a little help from some seriously swoon worthy Hart’s interjections is explosive. She pushes, he pushes back. Because of Arden’s past, which no one knows about she is convinced that Exton does not seriously want her and it’s all a game to him. Her self-esteem is seriously broken. Come hell or high water Exton is determined to prove to her that she is what he needs. HE is what she needs whether she realizes it or not. Question is, will she open herself up?

I devoured this book. Once I started I couldn’t stop. The writing, the realness, you feel like you are reading someone’s true story. Ella’s writing style allows you to just totally immerse yourself in her books and never want to come up for air. This was a quick read, but a seriously delicious one. This is also where Exton Xavier Alexander AKA Triple X enters the picture. And he doesn't just ease in, he is breathtakingly handsome and makes even the deliberately oblivious Arden take notice.
It has a cliffhanger for an ending but FEAR NOT, book two () is already available and will wrap up everything into a wicked, steamy package for your reading pleasure.

Se teve um conto que me fez ficar grudada do começo ao fim é Strictly Temporary. A história criada pela Ella Fox foi tão perfeita que eu não sei explicar direito. Sabe aquele tipo de enredo que é fechado, perfeito, que te cativa e te deixa pensando no livro mesmo quando você acaba? Pois isso é o que Strictly é.
Arden é a nossa protagonista, e ela passou a adolescência querendo sair de Cidade Pequena, a cidade onde morava. E quando o livro começa ela já conseguiu isso, ela leva a vida que sempre quis bem longe de tudo, com um trabalho que gosta e com uma amiga que a trata muito bem.
E é em primeira pessoa que Arden nos conta que as pessoas de lá não a esqueceram. E novamente, Arden se vê encontrando o garoto que a perseguia e a maltratava na sua nova cidade. Mas as coisas não andam bem, para ela é viver um pesadelo novamente. E um pesadelo real em forma de uma pessoa que só quer prejudicá-la.
Mais isso é passado né? Pode até ser, Arden está seguindo em frente e seu maior medo é sofrer novamente.
Exton é um diretor que tem uma péssima reputação, já foi protagonista de um escândalo sexual e nunca se apaixonou verdadeiramente. Mas sua vida muda ao conhecer Arden. A vida de ambos muda.
Sinceramente, ainda não sei como expressar a lindeza desse livro. Ele é tão completo e cheio de sentimentos profundos que vai te sufocar por causa da feiura do mundo e ao mesmo tempo te abraçar com a beleza do amor. Sério, é impossÃvel expressar em palavras, você tem que ir, ler e tirar suas próprias conclusões.
Adorei esse livro. Amei esse livro. Chorei com esse livro. Senti meus sentimentos serem oprimidos e depois ganharem vida com a beleza do amor e seu poder transformador.

I received an ARC in exchange of an honest review of this book. I have to say that I liked the way this book started, the author did a good job setting up the story. I read it in one sitting, took me about 3.5 hours to read it and it held me long enough to finish it. The book ends in cliffhanger, so reading the next one in the series would be necessary to see the unfolding of the story. I read a lot, at least 3 books a week and I read quite a bit of adult contemporary books and while I have no problem with the use of curse words in books, heck I say a few on a daily basis myself, I found myself being turned off by what for me was bit too much use of the F and the C words. The sex scenes were very graphic and while I have no problem with graphic writing at all, the way the characters first sexual encounter was described was a huge turn off for me. The alpha male borderlines a stalker behavior and if some guy was saying those particular things to me I'd be running to get a restraining order, no matter how hot he is. I wish I could give this book 3.5 stars. There is a lot of work and time involved in writing a book and I'd enjoy this book a lot more if it was toned down a bit. But maybe it is just me. Like I said, I don't mind sexual content and cursing, (I loved 50 shades) but this particular description of the first time they have sex was a bit too much for me. This book is for adults only.

Arden is a small town girl who has moved away from her hometown because of being bullied all her life and making the biggest mistake of her life by falling for the popular guy and getting married to him all as a joke to him and his friends.
When Arden and Exton finally meet she tries to keep him at arms length and not let him in but its only a matter of time...
Things are intense between them and theres no denying the attraction or the chemistry they are trying to fight.
This is written in Arden's POV and you will just fall in love... But will they get their HEA or does it all blow up in their faces?

Let me first take a second to say that the guy’s bicep on the cover is going into my spank bank for future reference. Exton is the guy you will fall for…he is rough and bossy at just the right times. I knew Ms. Fox would deliver me a man that would make me swoon and also want to hump his face at the same time.
What happens when a small town girl who has been ridiculed her whole life decides enough is enough? She meets a hot guy who wants nothing more than to be the rock that she deserves. Exton knows it will be a battle of wills, but he goes in balls to the wall.
Arden and Exton make you want to believe there is good in the world. That there are still people to save you from the bad. I’m not going to lie I keep wanting to call Exton Sexton and that right there tells you how much you will love Exton and all his hotness.

Holy crap! Ella Fox does it again in Strictly Temporary. She throws a match and burns the whole place down with her insanely hot writing style. I loved every moment of Arden and Exton in this book and am dying for the next installment!
Arden is everything we love in a heroine: strong, feisty, a little bit broken, and a lot sassy.
Exton is like the sweetest, hottest alpha ever with his protective and you're-gonna-love-me-woman approach!
This story is a quick yet super enjoyable read. You're denying yourself the necessary steam to get by in this life if you don't read it.

Wish this had been advertised as a series. It ended so abruptly that I thought I might have purchased an incomplete version of the book. Had I known, I might have waited to start the series when I had an idea of how many more books there were going to be as well as how long until they are published.
That being said, I really enjoyed the book and was really getting into it when it ended. Looking forward to the next book.

This is a good book from Ella fox the first one I read, I didn't know there was an order to read them to understand some content so I went back to read the first one and some what understand some stuff better. But this book was better than the first one cause it had more of a story then just sex ever other page. But I don't know he seem like a stalking and a very pushy guy to me, but she needed it. I would recommend this to everyone

As per usual, Ella Fox can do no wrong for me when it comes to writing. Anything she writes, I'll read! I wonder how many parts are there in this series and how soon can I can my hands on the next book. I always have this saying in my mind whenever the heroes of Ella's book go alpha on their females ~ "Resistance is futile."
