THE MYTH OF CAMELOT: HOW JACKIE KENNEDY CHANGED OUR VIEW OF JFK

Rate this book
This 2300 word article tells the story of an exclusive interview Jackie Kennedy gave to Life Magazine one week after the assassination. In it, she talks graphically about Kennedy's death, and compares his presidency to Camelot, Arthur's romantic kingdom of myth and fable. The comparison, never used before, was suddenly seized by a grieving public, and came to define the Kennedy years.
