" I'm her worst nightmare and she's my obsession"

This book has everything , from hot sexy scenes , to a hot yummy Dom . Bennet is running for VP of the U.S ,
He is hot all over tall green eyes and a Dom need I say more .. I don't think so . So he meets this girl and he is totally attracted to her but she just seems to innocent for what he has in store for her so he just lets her go, with no intention what so ever of ever seeing her again.

That's not what happens here , it so happens that Xavia has her Bff her hook her up with a job as a intern to guess who?! You got it ! Mr. Hottie this is where things get complicated and exciting. So they just have this super hot attraction to each other but it just can't happen this is he's intern . But X just loves to test Bennett , until he just has to give her a good teaching Dom way ... That is .

Love the book just wish there would have been a little more something between the characters. They had a lot of attraction towards each other but I just didn't feel like I fell for them as a couple I never got the awe effect .. I did get the dam that's hot !!! But nothing else.

Either way it was very entertaining and very interesting sexy scenes !!

Thnx Alex love the book !!! Arc provided

OOOOOHHHH! This book is a marvelous Dirty Little Secret!! It is erotic, with a well thought out and complex plot line, and full of intelligent mischief. It is well written and with characters that can both entertain us and make us feel connected to.

I can see that this is going to be a series to blow my mind. There are so many possibilities here in which the plot can expand and weave. I am absolutely and positively in love with Bennett! I sense a deeply complex character I am itching to know more about.

Our female main character, Xavia, is not only intelligent and independent, but a strong woman fighting for the freedom to forge her own destiny away from her overbearing and controlling family. She is a strong character perfectly matched to our Senator's Dom personality.

Christian Grey move over! Senator Bennett has arrived in full force!

4.5 stars! I loved this book! I love the tv series Scandal and this somewhat reminded me of it due to the forbidden love between a very popular senator and his intern. Although that's where the similarities stop because the hero, Senator Stone favors the kink! He is a charming man who is definitely domineering and is used to D/S only relationships. Xavia is perfect for him... she is a strong female with a spitfire personality that is used to the political life due to her family ties.

The story flowed nicely and I enjoyed Xavia's sassy attitude. The chemistry between her and Ben was off the charts and the author writes in a way that makes you feel as if you are a fly on the wall witnessing what is going down between these two. I just wish it were longer and although book number two is released, I see that there are four books planned. I will definitely be reading them once they are all released. I know myself and since I am so invested in this story and the characters I will have to wait or else I'll drive myself crazy!

This was a scorching hot read. This book gives a whole new meaning to the term "House" on the Hill. Mr. Senator, oh my! I'm getting hot under the collar just recalling some of the scenes. We have all heard about Bill Clinton and Monica lewinsky but those two have nothing on Bennett and Xavia.

Senator Stone is a Republican and climbing his way up the Political ladder but what very few people know is that he is also a Dom and one of the seven owners of the very private sex club know as the "House" on the hill. Xavia Stillman Kennedy comes from Political Royalty on the Democratic side. Xavia is tired of everyone in her family and is looking to distance herself from them, so what is a surefire way to make that happen? Work for a Senator of the other Political Party.

There is so much chemistry between these two that Bennett ignores all of the rules set into place to keep him safe from scandal. No sex with employees, no sex within the walls of his office, and stay the hell away from interns. Yep he's broken all of those rules and many, many more. You will not be disappointed at all with his story. It is well executed and keeps you wanting more.

Xavia is a Kennedy—yes, her family is all about wealth, politics and power. She is strong willed and determined to forge her own independent path without the interference of her family. Bennett Stone is the mysterious hard working senator who appears to be making all the right decisions for his own political aspirations. Yet he is hiding a secret. Are there really any secrets in D.C.?
Their first encounter is intense to say the least. The chemistry between these two characters is undeniable. The author brilliantly shares their story via Xavia and Bennett’s points of view. The characters are well developed, their voices are strong and distinct. The novel’s intense plot is character driven. Their fast paced journey is a page-turner. The author sets the scene and delivers the unexpected flawlessly giving the reader clues along the way.

When it comes to his new intern Xavia, Bennett appears to be losing control—this behaviour is unheard of for the controlling senator. Will their dirty little secret unravel their personal and professional future? Xavia and Bennett’s journey together is far from over. Looking forward to reading Book #2 in this original series.

I 1-click so much I don't know how I got this book, but I am glad I did.

Subtract the sex, which is hot, wild and kinky, and you have an intriguing story. It's The West Wing meets Scandal times 10, who can be trusted, are they really your friend, what did they just say, was that code?

Set in Wash. DC, during a Senate reelection campaign, and the start of the next Presidential run, you have-the dark secrets of the two main characters, their push and pull of giving and earning trust, getting to know each other outside of the bed, falling in love, and realizing they they are in danger, and you have one hell of a story.
On each page I am asking myself, should I remember that person, are they going to come back as a villain? The soundtrack for this series is 'Smiling Faces". The author is weaving an interesting story, thou there are times I wonder did I miss something, and have that question answered later. It is a puzzle with pieces moving.

I enjoyed this series so much, I read both books in in 2 days, and was so disappointed that book 3 will not be available until August.

Dirty Little Secrets may not be for everyone, the sex is raw, and should come with a warning, but is integral to the story.

This was a find that is a keeper.

Wow .... what an incredible book. I loved the story, hot characters and dialogue that will melt your panties! Bennett Stone is one hot U.S. Senator. Xavia Stillman Kennedy is his intern with a pedigree. After a chance meeting at a bar one evening, Bennett is obsessed with Xavia. But neither of know who each other are or their backgrounds. Xavia will soon be graduating from college and wants to escape the clutches of her famous family. A friend prompts her to apply for an internship with Senator Stone. After seeing his picture, she realizes that he was the man at the bar that made you feel like never before. Without giving away any spoilers, they become obsessed with other. However, there is a little twist with the Senator. He has somewhat of a singular sexual perference which he guards zealously.
Their story will captive you from the first page. The story is very well written and I highly recommend.

Xavia is from the famous Kennedy clan but is dying to break out from under their thumbs. Bennett is a state senator with a little dark and dirty private life. They meet at a club, the chemistry is insane, yet he walks away. I liked how upfront with the readers Ben is about his lifestyle. The one thing that threw me off during the prologue was that X refers to Ben by his last name when she doesn't know who he is. Months later Xavia becomes his intern and that's when things get very interesting. Ben's character was different than most Dom's I've read about in the past. He's true to his title. Hardcore and no nonsense. But even the most hard core Dom finds that one woman he lets consume him. Some things come to light towards the end of the book that definitely set up the next book. Hoping this will be a multiple book series because I think there's a lot to be explored.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for a review.
I am not sure how I feel at this end of this story I had huge hopes or maybe they were expectations. The blurb had me really wanting to read it and maybe it is because there was so much foundations for the main characters Bennett Stone and Xavia Stillman Kennedy but it seemed more thinking on the characters behalf instead of them speaking but I get that and now I know there is more than one book to this story.
Bennett is a US senator on the campaign trail, he has had a successful career as a lawyer and now had his sights set on presidency. He is a firm handed man, a dominant out of the limelight and co-owner of "The House " a sex club in his home town. Bennett likes things his way abs generally gets it that way. Until one night at a club in New York he sees a young woman dancing, and he cannot walk away from her so he takes her into a back hallway as all but has sex with her. Then leaves with nothing other than "I won't make a mistake".
Weeks later Bennett cannot get that woman's voice and face it off his head but when a new intern is presented to him at the airport all the winds is knocked out of Bennetts body - the woman is Xavia Kennedy, the girl from the club!
X as she is affectionately kwown is not new to money and power as a family of politicians nothing surprises her and while finding up studying and still not knowing what to do with her life she takes on a role as intern to a us senator after being pushed by her neat friend. After seeing the photo of the senator in question, her heart flutters remembering that night... A night that has been burned into her memory.

As Bennett and Xavia begin the working relationship it is clear the sexual tension between the 2 and it is not long till Bennett's dominant side comes out. There is something about X he cannot let go. he ways to take her, own her, pocess her.
Xavia gives in to the feelings she had as keys Bennett take her on a wild ride. And a wild ride it is!
An OK 1st story in this what I presume will be a series of books, I am curious to find out what happens when Xavia and Bennett return to DC....

So, shockingly, I haven't read political smut stories and now I'm screaming to myself 'Why have I not done it before?'!
Xavia Kennedy. We all know that last name. She is part of one of the most powerful family ever but she feels like an outsider, and she kind of is, she wants to make her own path, not aligned into what's expected of her so that's why she doesn't ask for favors and wants to be as far away from politics as she can. But those plans change. She gets an intership with Senator Bennet Stone, a congressman with White House aspirations.
They meet casually at a club and the chemistry is insane! They don't know each other but they just can't help it, insta lust and all that, but because Ben knows his career is in the line, he withdraws, stoping the 'mistake'.
And after that they find each other working on his campaign but can't avoid the sexual tension! And thank God they didn't.
Bennet is demanding and you know his inclinations to BDSM from the start so it's not a spoiler! So he's controlled and shows Xavia a whole new world, you know the deal! Instead of being the compliant girl, Xavia speaks her mind and that was refreshing, she made all the right questions but still can't resist him. Shocking!
Of course, there's more to the charachters than sex: Xavia's life and relationship with her family and Ben's controlling tendencies and childhood stories, we get a hint of this but I need more!
I would've liked more explanations on their political backgrounds especially Xavia's. I'd like to know more about Xavia's family, how they try to control her, their connection on the political side, the incident with her cousin Collin (didn't quite get that), her reticence to political related career and what has she done to avoid them.
I'll definitely pick up the next book and I hope this becomes a series 'cause I'd love to know more about Ben's friends, you know which ones!

4.5 Stars!

This book was crazy good and I cannot wait to dive into book two with an ending like that. This book was sexy, sinful, delicious, hypnotizing, gritty, and has one Senator who will have you begging to call him Master. This book will take you on a quite a ride into the down and dirty on the Hill...

This is the beginning of X and Ben's story. X comes from a line of royalty on the hill. Being a Kennedy is never easy but it comes with the territory. But X wants to be different than her relatives. She wants to pave her own way and not look to them for help. When she gets a summer intern job with the hot playboy Senator Ben Stone, she doesn't realize they are more connected then she would like to think and have a steamy yet brief past.

Senator Stone knows the effects he has on women. He always has and can have any woman he wants. But the Senator has particular taste and when he meets X, he is battling the line of lust and insanity. He wants X more than his next breath but he can't have the scandal but sometimes fate has a way of making it impossible for you to ignore. As these two begin to work closely together, their chemistry becomes so intense that neither can deny the attraction they feel for one another no matter how much they want too.

Get ready for the down and dirty on the Hill where nothing or no one is at is seems...

I loved Senator Stone! From the beginning, he captivated me because he is such a mystery and quite contradictory at times. I loved the pull he had to X. He wanted her and wanted her to be his, but only his. The tension between these two was smoldering at times. I cannot wait for more of these two!

I highly recommend this book.

I didn't realize that this was a fanfic of FSOG before I went in, and that probably wouldn't have dissuaded me, but it certainly explains a whole lot now that I've read it. Thus, this is a fanfic of a fanfic, which is like hearsay within hearsay and I'll tell you, that's never good. Oh good god, I just made a legal comparison. SORRYNOTSORRY.

Clearly, I did not enjoy. First off, the writing style isn't what I like - it's very exclamation pointy, and I prefer when the author shows more than tells.

Also, it was SO very FSOG that I was making comparisons immediately without even knowing it was a fanfic. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE me some FSOG. It holds a super special place in my heart, but I've already read that story (like, twenty times)...give me something new/different. I mean, the phrase "seventeen shades of fucked up" was used and I was just like, "REALLY?!" The language and word choice turned me off as well. For example, he refers to her as "little girl" and I just couldn't get into it.

Not surprisingly, Bennett is taken by Xavia - or XS - and she's making him break all of his rules. He crosses the line with her before she's signed his contract and agrees to go to the House (a sex club he part-owns) with him, and he doesn't know what she's doing to him. Xavia isn't as innocent as Ana, sexually, but she's equally as unwilling (at first) to submit to Bennett. She also has a smart mouth. There's tons of dominant, hard fucking - which was pretty ok - but I wasn't connected to the story, so I had a hard time with it.

I suppose if you're really missing Fifty, then you will absolutely love this; however, I just couldn't get it up.

Mmmhmmm. I love me some domination!!!

Bennett Stone, Senator from Georgia. Gorgeous, dominating yet personable, a real up and comer in the political world, and keeper of SO very many dangerous secrets. One night while celebrating a friends birthday he is captivated by the hottest, sexiest slip of a thing...one kiss, copping a feel, and ALMOST having sex in a hallway up against the wall Bennett Stone is STILL thinking about her and what could have been 2 months later.

Xavia Stillman Kennedy..yep, of those Kennedy's, and grand daughter to banking moguls, wants nothing to do with her family, and will NOT become a Stepford Wife.
Xavia's best friend Jon wants her to move from Boston to DC for the summer, and he's gotten her a job at the Hill with Senator Stone. While out clubbing with friends in NYC Xavia is captivated by a gorgeous set of eyes watching her moves on the dance floor. She's stopped and ushered into an unused hallway, slammed against the wall and almost screwed. LITERALLY. 2 months later and she's still wondering what could have been.
Catching on yet? This story is sexy and riddled with talk of hot, rough, sex and a secret sex club. It's smoking hot, and so erotic. The whole story is steeped in sex, secrecy and lies.
Can't wait to start book 2.

Bennett Stone is the poster boy for control and power. He is a popular and gorgeous Senator in Washington. In secret, he is also a Dominant. He lives by certain rules and everything has to be kept quiet.

While in New York, he is out at a club with some friends, when he sees a gorgeous woman on the dance floor. He is drawn to her, and almost ends up breaking his rules. He leaves after some passionate kissing without getting her name.

To his surprise, a few months later, the beautiful stranger ends up becoming his next intern.

Xavia Kennedy is tired of being pushed around by her family. Being related to two of the most wealthy and powerful families in the country should be a blessing, but for Xavia it is a nightmare. They want to control her life.

Taking a chance to do something on her own, Xavia ends up taking an internship for a Senator in Washington. Just her luck, he happens to be the gorgeous stranger she met at a club that she can’t seem to forget.

Following through on their desires can be detrimental for both of them but they can’t stop themselves. Xavia is opposite of everything Bennett needs and Bennett is offering something Xavia has no idea about.

I really enjoyed this book. It is super hot with lots of twists and turns. Bennett is a super sexy alpha!! This book has me hooked and I cannot wait to see what happens between Bennett and Xavia.

I enjoyed this book with a political setting, not so common in romance novels.
Bennett Stone, the up-and-coming senator of Georgia meets Xavia, a young student heiress to influential political families. Their instant attraction ends up with a hook-up in a bar hallway, that Bennett considers a mistake. But he can not forget her.
Two months later, Xavia is offered a summer internship with the senator through his assistant. They both have doubts about the negative consequences their attraction could have on their future careers.
Xavia is a strong and independant character. Her plan is to use Bennett's power, connections and influence to find her place without needing the help of her family.
In private, Bennett is a dominant with many secrets. There is a lot of push and pull, but he can not resist Xavia's sass and charm. The chemistry between them is off the charts. He offers her a one night stand as his submissive.
Seduced by the Senator is well-written, with a dual POV, giving a better understanding of the characters and a story that flaws well. Once started, I simply could not put this book down.
I will be looking for more story development in the second part of the serie. 4 stars !

This book was definitely my kind of book. I wasn't sure how I would feel about it since it is a forbidden romance with a senator and his intern. I am so glad I requested a copy.

This was an erotic tale that was well written with great detail and characters that were easy to connect with. Senator Stone loves his kink and Xavia is perfect for his character. She is strong and with her families ties in politics she fits.

While reading this book I felt as if I was a voyeur watching everything as it played out. Yeah...kinky and addicting. I refuse to give any details because believe me you will want to read this book. I'm eager to begin the second book in this series which it looks to be at least 4 books long.

This author outdid herself with the storyline and characters. I highly recommend it to all. It sex is raw and can be disturbing to those who do not have an open mind so keep that in mind. But don't let that stop you because I swear you will find this book intriguing on so many levels.

I was provided this book as an ARC so here is my honest review. No spoilers contained.

A story that is filled with a tremendous amount of content on political verbiage and the erotic BDSM scene. At times I was lost in some of the terminology used, I'm British and a little more explanation would have been useful. It didn't detract from the story which flowed well. It's about a chance meeting that is repeated and there is no denying the chemistry between the two leading characters Ben and Xavia. Ben is a Senator and is highlighted for going far, as far as the presidency. Xavia is from an old influential family in the political arena but appears to be the black sheep of the family. I think this book has set the course for the next book in the series called "Vetting the Senator". I have read a number of other books from this genre and felt at times it was a little far fetched in content. Overall a good read and I will read the series.

The first question that needs to be answered is.....Can a Democrat work for a Republican ?? But Xavia is trying to get away from her family and the family name and just make a name for herself....but can she do that when she is a Kennedy ??

Bennett Stone is a rock star hot sexy Senator on his way up the ladder. He knows where is future is heading or where it is suppose to be heading but when he meets XS his tough exterior starts to crumbling just like his interior walls that he feels coming down.

But can these two keep there feeling private or will be secrecy get out ?? Can Bennett let her go or will she say and be AlL his or will his past or even her past keep them apart ??

The suspense drama and feelings are so strong is this book you will keep turning the page and turning the page to see what happens .....and then wham ....cliffhanger !!

This book is a solid 5 or higher if I could give it....the darkness. Feelings and emotions are off the chart !! Can't wait for more !!

I enjoyed this story, but wish there was more story of the characters. I feel is was a very fast attraction. Ben is an U.S. Senator on the fast path up the political ladder. Once Ben meets Xavia he can't seem to forget her. A chance meeting brings them together again and their chemistry is hot. Xavia comes from a very old wealthy and influential family, but considers herself the black sheep and is set on making her own way. I really enjoyed this first part of their story and would be looking forward to the rest, but have my reservations as to the BDSM club setting.

There a bunch of parts where I glanced over since it contained in my opinion a lot of political hullabaloo... Once may twice but there was bunch of it...
Different & interesting ...
Dual POVs
Steamy heated scene ...heavy on the BDSM aspect.
Both expected and unexpected twists...ending will have the reader wanting more but I wouldn't call it a cliffhanger....
Overall an ok story that may not be for everyone...(a we love kink book blog review). 3.5 stars
