Evan and Juliette's story has come to an end. So now, in Running Into His Arms, hear from Emmy and Adam as their love story continues.
Adam Cooke and Emmy Akins are expecting their first child together. Adam’s career with the New Jersey Sentinels is thriving and he’s finally getting the recognition he’s worked for and Emmy continues to work hard bartending with her best friends at Rush Dessert Bar. They are madly in love and can’t seem to get enough of each other.
When Adam gets an offer to leave a job he loves and make a major career change, Emmy is thrilled and excited. This may be the catalyst they need to improve their life by giving them the financial and personal independence they need.
Emmy knows that a new baby and a new job bring lots of changes into their relationship; and she’s quite certain they can adapt and even thrive. But something’s not right. It’s not like Adam to spend so much time away from her, almost avoiding her. Is it hormones causing her to worry or something more? Could a new job intended to make their lives better wind up destroying their dreams instead?
This Running Series novella shows us a glimpse into Emmy and Adam’s life, introduces us to some new characters, and shows us that our path through life is always uncertain, and with each change and challenge, we have to continue to trust ourselves and have faith in the strength of the bonds we have forged.
Suzanne Sweeney is a graduate of Georgian Court University where she studied Elementary Education and Sociology. For some time now, she has been sharing her love of literature with the young minds who sit before her in class each and every day. After years of teaching the art of writing, Suzanne has finally taken her own advice and put pen to paper in order to produce her debut novel, Running Back to You. She writes what she lives, residing in the community she loves, Point Pleasant, with her family who provide a constant source of inspiration and support.

Let me start off by saying that part of the reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is because I absolutely loved the original 3 “Running series, beginning with “Running Back to You. The story of Jette and Evan was so outstanding and immediately went to the top of my favorites list. So giving this off-shoot of the original 3 books 5 stars just wouldn’t be fair. Also, this book much shorter than the first 3.
Having said all that I really liked Adam and Emily’s story. For those of you who’ve read the first 3 “Running series you’ll recognize all of the characters. The whole gang is here and once again you’ll feel right at home hanging out with your best friends.
Adam has an offer for his dream job with the pro baseball team that’s located in the same city as the football team Evan plays for so accepting the job wouldn’t take him and Em away from all of their friends. It’s a big step up for him and even though he feels a little guilty for leaving Evan he realizes this is his chance to be more independent and to be financially secure for Emily and their baby.
Emily, is still working at “Rush, while she’s pregnant and she’s thrilled for Adam with this new opportunity. That is until he starts the new job. All of a sudden Adam is never home. He’s working long hours, not even taking the time to call her or answer her texts. Confused and hurt Emily doesn’t know what to think. At this point I can’t say much more without giving away the story.
All you need to know is that Adam and Emily’s story is told fully in this book. I don’t consider it stand alone because you really need to read the original books to understand the story and the cast of characters. But it is stand alone in the sense that it is the full story for Adam and Emily and you get the HEA!
I highly recommend this book and I would encourage you to invest in “Running Back to You, “Running Home to You, and “Running Away With You! Like I said they are all at the top of my all-time favorite’s book shelf! They are also reasonably priced!
I was given a copy of this book for my honest review.
If you have read the Running Series from Suzanne Sweeney then you know about Emmy and Adam. And if not you should read it too. Here we get a closer look at Adam and Emmy and their life in becoming parents soon. With Emmy still working at Rush, Adam gets a job offer that is too good to turn down. Jette and Evan return from their honeymoon and the group is back together. Adam is conflicted about the new job, he feels guilty leaving Evan. They have been together for a long time but sometimes you have to do what is best for you and your new family. All along Adam has been asking Emmy to marry him and she continues to say no. She wants to make sure he loves her and not just because of the baby. With her continuing to say no, will she push him away? Will his new job become a problem for them both? And what will happen when it is time for doctor appointments that he promises to be there for? Will there always be something about his job getting in the way? And who in the hell is Alex, Adam’s new boss? Well you will have to wait and see but you will love it. I sure did and can’t wait for more. **A beta copy provided by the author in exchange for my honest review**
Suzanne has done it again!!! This series just gets better and better. I can't get enough of this group of friends. This novella has more love in it than some series! If you think you loved Evan - Adam is even hotter. Adam has been proposing everyday to Emmy since learning she is expecting their baby. Emmy will not consider that proposal until after the baby is born. Now with a new job, Adam seems to be spending less time at home and more time at the office. Emmy thought the new job was to give them more time to be together, but after meeting Adam's new boss, Emmy can't stop her mind from thinking the worse. Will this job and boss ruin Emmy and Adam's future together as a family???
I just can't wait for more from the Running series!!!

This is a reread for me. I read this series back in 2016 and never left a review. Now, here is my honest opinion.
Cute novella for Adam and Emmy. Adam is on to new adventures for work and Emmy struggles with him being away so much. We see their bond grow and we find out the gender of their baby. This novella is filled with love and determination.
I really hope this author continues with a book for everyone in this series. I have loved this series.
Omg great book at first I was hesitant because I really fell in love with jette and Evans story. But the way Suzanne wrote Adams and emmy story it flowed well with the series.
I enjoyed reading about Adam and his new adventure. Was disappointed by the way it ended. Hopefully he gets another book to answer all the unanswered questions.
