While it offers much more information on alastors and the Red List as a political tool, most of the NPC writeups are disappointing compared to the original book. It remains a useful sourcebook for GMs who want to build a campaign or long story arc around the Red List, however. Whether as a McCarthy-esque political tool or a jumping-off point for examinations of the metaplot via significant NPCs, this can definitely be useful for the right campaign.
