Lia Michels is an inspiring songwriter who is given a chance to pursue her dream. This opportunity of a lifetime comes with strings attached as Lia quickly learns that she will be working with Jordan Arlotti, a hot music producer who broke her heart fifteen years ago. Will Lia take a chance and follow her dream even if it leads her back into the arms of the man she swore she'd never love again?
My name is Nakeesha Cluse. I am an aspiring author of interracial romance and Southern Gothic novels. As a wife and mother of two beautiful children, I live in Colorado Springs, and enjoy spending time with my family and getting outdoors!
An avid lover of reading and storytelling, I find my inspiration in everyday life. I enjoy writing about heroines who find their strength through adversity and heroes who are loyal, with a bit of a bad boy side to them.
Currently, I am working on my third novel, Nicolette Thorne: Good Girl Gone Bad. It is the second novella in my Southern Gothic collection. It deals with abuse, blackmail, gangs, ghost, and murder. Let's just say, it's not for the faint at heart! I hope to have it out by Fall 2016.
I love getting reviews from my readers- good and not so good! The good reviews encourage me. I use the constructive criticism of the "not so good reviews" to help me learn - Notice I said constructive criticism :).
Thank you for taking the time to read my books, and feel free to contact me about upcoming releases.
My very first from Nakeesha Clause, but gee, I couldn't out it down... A real page turner. Jordan and Lia's love was once in a lifetime... I don't think that on Jordan's side he even tried to move on,otherwise he wouldn't get a Lia 'lookalike'... I am glad that David found love again,he is a good man and deserve happiness. Love Jordan and Lia,can wait to read book 2!!
I love reunion stories. The title, while simple, is quite apt. The characters were good and the musical aspect of the book was well done. I also liked the side notes about teaching and being a teacher in a high school art department. Cluse made an excellent point about art often being the first department cut when school/district budgets are tight. I've found this to be all too true in public schools. But with arts integration on the rise, this is beginning to change. So this was a lovely short story and a nice introduction to a new author. With a bit more editing, this novella could easily earn many five-star ratings.
Thoroughly enjoyed but some of Lia's behavior was a bit off. After being held at gunpoint and kidnapped you would think threatening phone calls would be reported and not forgotten
