Bubbly were-lynx Tizzy Sands mapped out her life years ago: she’d teach kindergartners, eventually marry, and start a family. But when cancer stole her dream of having children, her focus changed. As a member of a were-lynx colony that faces constant danger from the nefarious Nexus Group, her goal now is helping the colony defeat them—and steering clear of any romantic involvements.
With his genius IQ, Quinn Arons isn’t the most socially skilled were-lynx in the colony and can’t imagine party girl Tizzy would give him a second look. But although his past mistakes and childhood experiences haunt him, he can’t accept Tizzy’s fear that cancer will return and claim her life soon. Instead, he decides to show her that life is what you make it.
Now they’re working as partners to prevent Nexus from launching its Project Powering, but can Quinn convince Tizzy there’s more to save here than just their world?
I’ve been a reader and a writer all my life. My background is in journalism, but whether writing a magazine or newspaper story or creating a romance, I love the power stories hold to transport, inspire, and uplift.
In my romances, I focus on vulnerable, embraceable characters who don’t back down. I hope that readers discover, over and over, stories of ordinary people who face ordinary life challenges and are transformed by extraordinary love
What an intense story on many levels and in many ways. Crandall returns to her imaginative and unforgettable world of shifters with the same flair and sass that we’ve come to know from this series. The way that TNG’s plans are developing and unfurling are chilling. I like how Crandall develops the were lynx colony. The hierarchy and social practices are prevalent throughout without overpowering the individuals we meet.
I feel so close to the characters in this story. I really felt for Tizzy and her situation. The intricate look at Tizzy’s special ability was fun and informative. The way that Quinn thinks and even speaks lets his slight social awkwardness and brilliant mind shine through. Finding out more about Marcus past really had a few things popping into place for me.
This was a fantastic story that held my attention from cover to cover. With each novel in this series I’m falling further and further in love with these were cats.

Another great paranormal read from Lynn Crandall. This is book #4 of this series, I have only read books 3 before this one. I would say this is a stand alone but reading the last book did help me know more about The Nexus Group (TNG) and Marcus.
This book focuses on Tizzy and Quinn. Tizzy is in remission from cancer, she knows that her chances of having it come back is great, she also can't have children because of it. She has sworn off love and relationships. Quinn has a high IQ and has always felt out of place around kids in his age group growing up, he was also molested when he was five by his fourteen year old male babysitter. He has been dealing with both of these since.
Quinn and Tizzy can't keep their friendship only promise and find themselves dealing with their hardships together. This is a great story of love, life, and death. Even though it is a paranormal book with were-lynx and their special abilities, I found it went much deeper with the topics of death and dealing with hardships. It even had me on the verge of tears near the ending.
OMG CRANDALL HAS DONE IT BETTER THAN EVER! I received an ARC from the author Lynn Crandall in exchange for an honest opinion. This is Mismousey's very honest opinion of "PROBABILITIES". Now - I will tell you that I have all have been reading this series And I was looking forward to reading this book so very much. Ms Crandall , I have to say did not disappoint me at all!!! Matter of fact- she brought it and then some with this one. There is so much more in this one little book.More than you could ever expect to find. She has packed so much action -emotion- drama-and action into this story than ever before. Probabilities is easy to pick up and find right where you are at. This is the 4th book in the Fierce Heart Series. We have a colony of Were-cats that are fighting against Nexus. Tizzy Sands and Quinn Arons are just 2 of were-lynxes in the colony. Tizzy has given up hope on having a family as she has cancer and it took the one thing she wanted from her. Children. As for Quinn- he is haunted by a dark past he has not shared it with anyone. They have each have their big family (the colony) but that's it. Although they have noticed they are being drawn to each other. Tizzy can't let herself fall in love - as she believes the cancer is going to win an doesn't want to do that to anyone. Any way- the colony is planning against Nexus. They find out about their new plan Project Powering=an team up with a group of men. Now can they stop them Nexus before launch Project Powering? Oh yeah in the meantime a young mother and her son are also being hunted by Nexus. Can the colony save them? Probabilities has so many twist and turns in -you never know what to expect next. I recommend this book for all to read especially those that paranormal! Mismousey gives it a 70 out 5 stars. NOW ADD THIS BOOK TO YOUR GOODREADS READING LIST- THEN RUN AND GET YOUR COPY TODAY!!! >I am an independent reviewer. This book is the fourth in the Fierce Hearts series and ends in an HEA.
>I haven't read any books in this series, so I was worried I wouldn't really be able to follow the story. I was wrong. The author does a good job filling in previous information while telling the present story. Tizzy is a cancer survivor, who is now sterile. Quinn is a recovering alcoholic, haunted by childhood sexual abuse. Their attraction and romance was sweet. Both characters had legitimate reasons to fear intimacy. Quinn was portrayed as extremely bright. He has a hard time relating to others. His bluntness was a source of humor in a story that was very serious otherwise. I felt a little more humor needed to be used to balance the story a little bit more.
>The conflict in this story is the same conflict from the previous books. Not having read the previous books, the hatred for this evil company and exactly how evil the company is was lost to me. I didn't feel the threat as much as I felt the story called for. After the company attacks, there really isn't any more action. The end of the book falls a little flat as a result. The author throws in a very romantic HEA, but threat-wise, nothing has changed.
>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. The romance is tame, but sufficient description is used.
Sorry to say this book was not for me. The writing seemed more of a recitation and rote delivery of things that happened. Since I failed to read the prior books I did not really feel the loathing and hatred for TNG that I should have. I also missed out on a better grasp of the characters, their personalities, and back stories. This is for someone looking for a book with a light-hearted, sweet paranormal romance, with some suspense and not a lot of violence. However, I would highly advise starting the series with its first book, Secrets. Llaph Reviewer for Coffee Time Romance & More
Tizzy and Quinn gave me a run for the next page. I wanted very much to see what was in store for these two next. I have to say that overall, I was not disappointed in this story. There was romance, mystery, cancer, molestation, awkward moments, and deep set regret and pain. Through it all these two manages to be there for each other and their clan.
It’s one thing to be an adult in trouble. But when a child is threatened, the danger becomes more real.
Author Lynn Crandall ramps up the tension in “Probabilities, the latest installment of her Fierce Hearts series. Once again we are part of the fascinating were-lynx colony Ms. Crandall has created in such realistic fashion that the reader will wonder about her own special abilities. The cat colony continues its fight with the Nexus group, a corporate monster that hopes to mutate the special abilities honed by the were-lynxes for their own power-hungry goals.
Their target is 5-year-old Micah and his mother, Karyn, but Elizabeth “Tizzy Sands, who is the kindergarten teacher everyone wants for their child, is determined to keep them safe with the help of her friend, Quinn Arons. Danger is a heady elixir that heightens the attraction between Tizzy and Quinn and whets the reader’s appetite for more.
“Probabilities is an intriguing story about love and survival, and it allows us another peek into Ms. Crandall’s all-too-real were-lynx colony.
Although it is Book 4 in the series, “Probabilities stands alone as an exciting read.
*I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*
Probabilities is a continuation of the Fierce Hearts series centered around a colony of were-lynx's. These books can be read as stand-alones, but I would advise starting from the beginning so you can read the beginning of all the drama and fallout. In this installment we read Tizzy and Quinn's story. Tizzy seems to fun-loving and outgoing on the outside, but on the inside it's a whole different story. Quinn is the colony genius. He may be all self-assured and cocky on the outside, but he too has more faults than he likes to let others know. The colony is still at odds with the infamous Nexus Group who tests on were-lynx's to create a superior race for future dastardly plans! The colony and Nexus Group continue to butt-heads and it seems like things are getting more and more intense. Will everybody make it out alive? Is there ever going to a happy ending? This was another great story surrounding the were-lynx colony. There's a lot of great action scenes and a little romance thrown in. Let's hope the good guys win!!
I was provided an ARC of the book in order to write an honest review.
With Tizzy and Quinn’s story, we learn more about the continuing problems the were-lynx colony has with TNG, the villains in this series. When TNG targets one of Tizzy’s students, she jumps in with her heart and works to save him, pushing aside her fears of a shortened life span and emotional upheaval. Quinn, a fellow were-lynx who sees the good in Tizzy, partners with her to help save her student while at the same time teaching Tizzy that sometimes you have to take chances in life; take chances on love.
I loved how Tizzy didn’t think twice about doing what was necessary to help her student, and Quinn quickly put aside his insecurities to support her.
I don’t normally read paranormal stories, but as a nature lover, I’m intrigued by the were-lynx colony members on which the books are based. I really like the characters, and I can’t wait to read see how Lynn Crandall concludes this series!
Tizzy believes that because she had had cancer, it is only a matter of time until she will die of it - although she has been clear of it for a few years. Because of that she rejects any possibility of a relationship, until one day that she is with one of her best friends, Quinn, a fellow were-lynx. Quinn has his own baggage - a man with an IQ no one around him can match and it makes him feel really lonely, even in their colony. When he and Tizzy have to work together to fight a rogue lynx and protect a mother and child, they find their way to each other. A good story, that could be read as a stand-alone, although it makes more sense when seen in the greater context of the series "Fierce Hearts", of which it is the fourth book. It is easy to feel with Tizzy or Quinn, feel their insecurities and anxieties, but also the love for each other. A truly engaging story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I do not have the words to express how much this book amazed me. I was entranced from the beginning. I love Tizzy are heroin, but even though she is in remission from cancer. She can not see that life is short so live for every minute. instead she is worried about leaving everyone behind and wont let herself love Quin. She needs to know they all the whole community loves her. Quinn is trying to show her to live for tomorrow and many more to come. Do not think you are expendable as he Loves her. I have not read the other books in this series, but I plan to. Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it when you do, they value your opinions too.
Tizzy sees little in the way of a future for her after her illness so she keeps Quinn at a distance. Were-Lynx Elizabeth Sands Tizzy to her friends had survived cancer but at the great cost of losing her ability to have children which she thinks will mean no male would want her. Her love of children had her becoming a kindergarten teacher and this was a comfort to her after her operation and in what she saw as a future alone. Fellow Were-Lynx Quinn after a traumatic incident when he was five and the strange but genius way his brain works makes him socially inept. He had been a friend to Tizzy for the time he had known her but realized his feelings had become strong but that if he tried to get closer she would rebuff him so he stays on the sidelines but watches out for her.

Quinn and Tizzy are part of a were-lynx colony. The Nexus Group is performing experiments of both people and shifters to make mega-soldiers. The characters are strong, with great backstories to round them out. The storyline is like a roller coaster ride with all the twists and turns along the way. Battles are waged, friends are gone, Micah is saved and now adopted by Quinn and Tizzy, along with other surprises. Loved the characters and can not wait for the next storyline.

Book four in the series brings Tizzy and Quinn's story. The author brings strong characters and weaves an intriguing story that had me hooked from start to finish. It's an emotional and intense story with descriptive writing and vividly painted scenes. She brings tons of action along with the romance , moves the story fluidly and delivers an entertaining read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.

Wow! I love this series! Tizzy and Quinn are my favorite characters so far. This book is full of adventure, suspense, excitement and just enough romance to take you on a great ride. I love all the characters and so far I’ve loved all the books. If you’re a twilight fan then take the time to read this series.
Lynn Crandall captured my attention and held it tight to the end!
The fourth book in the Fierce Hearts series a well written story that kept me turning pages.
