Might be one of my favorite ones in this little series, so far. Short, sweet, fast-paced and this one had an element of danger. Not to mention the heroine had me cracking up at more than one point.

Mia has arrived at school determined to find the truth out about the Winter Valley Wolves. She’s been recruited as a research student to find out the truth and it could just make her famous as well change human evolution. Only one thing stand in the way Ekton the handsome pre-med student who’s captured her attention. Will he be enough to keep her from searching for wolves and revealing his secret that could change everything?
I honestly wasn’t sure about Mia but as the book progressed she grew on me. I was a little nervous for the werewolves because some of my favorite characters just happen to live at the lake. Thankfully she just happened to catch the attention of the right werewolf at school and without even knowing it he changed her whole take on them. I enjoyed their whirlwind romance it was sweet and steamy.

I’ve enjoyed every installment in the series but the Wakefield boys might just be my favorite so far. I can’t wait to dive right into the next one and I know when I finish they will be a series I come back to read over and over.

I was given an ARC of Ekton from the author, in exchange for an honest review.
Now I know for sure this series isn't finished yet & I'm sooooo happy it isn't, for as soon as I start reading, I'm transfixed straight away. From start to finish I was glued to this installment of the "Winter Valley Wolves", I can't seem to get enough of them, no matter who the lead characters are.
Mia arrives at MVU (Winter Valley University) with a goal & a secret mission, but her beliefs are changed once she mets HIM... Ekton meets the mate he's been waiting for, but could she really love him?? or is she just using him??
This was sweet to read, College romance at it's best, I loved Ekton's little name changes for Mia's last name....

This is a very nice book but I feel like it was very quickly done but I think that was the point of the novellas in this series. I liked the characters in this book as they both seem like fully relatable characters although it went very fast and easily solved with minimal issues and processing between the problem and solution. I would rate this 3/5 as it is good but I prefer longer books with more relatable characters.

This is a fast pace short story. I was intrigued right away with Mia the scientist. While some things were left unanswered I still enjoyed the book. So if you enjoy wolves with a bit of mystery and a HEA story then this story is for you.
I listened to the audiobook and I enjoyed the narrator. She did a fabulous job bringing the story to life.

Still into this series, continuing to follow the stories, although this book didn't have much previous involvement of the other characters. Love this book.

Things aren't always what they seem and blind ambition is easily manipulated when dreams are of the fame kind.
'Ekton' by V. Vaughn is the sixth book in the terrific Winter Valley Wolves series as well as being part of the multi-author Mating Season Collection of short, stand alone paranormal romances and I was given a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review. Well written in the first person, present tense and entirely from Mia's point of view, which is not something I particularly like, but the story is so good it more than makes up for it, and once I started reading I couldn't put it down. I loved it.
Arriving at her dorm on her first day at Winter Valley University, Biology Major Mia Maybee is hot, sweaty, frustrated, travel weary and wondering what else can go wrong as the wheel on her case breaks, she could have gone to MIT, but her mentor, Dr Gina Sands, offered her a place on her genetic manipulation project studying the Silver Lake Wolves, so with visions of Nobel prizes and professional accolades galore, here she is. Once inside, she has a slight change of perspective when one of the shirtless hunks standing around the desk takes her case and adds a social life to her list of things to do.
The hunk is Pre-Med Chemistry Major, Silver Lake Wolf and Los Lobos werewolf pack member Ekton Wakefield, who just met his true mate. Horrified by the project she's there to work on, he sets out to change her perspective on the lives of wolves until she can no longer picture keeping them in cages and conducting experiments on them. All seems to be going well until....
No, no more spoilers, but there is a lot more to this sweet book. I absolutely loved this story about the naive and driven scientist in search of professional recognition, and the man she falls in love with. The road to their happily ever after gets very rocky, but fate prevails in the end. There aren't that many characters in this book besides Mia and Ekton, but I loved the few there were. I'd really like to see more of Mia's tutor, Dr Andi Thompson. She strikes me as someone who's trying to do the right thing. I'd also like to see more of Mia's mother, she tickled me with her parting gift and sage advice. I really can't wait for the next one.

This series is amazing!. The story line is fantastic with suspense, action, humor, and steamy hot Romance!. The characters are awesome.
Mia wants to be a scientist in Genetics Research. She transferred to the Winter Valley University to study and work in their research lab. Her Lab job is to help find the Silver lake wolves who is suspected of being werewolves. The research program is suppose to find a way to make humans more adaptable to the world as it changes. Then Mia meets Ekton who she does not know is one of the Silver lake wolves. As they spend time together Mia falls in love with Ekton. Ekton knows he should not get involved with a human , but he believes she is his true mate. He can not fight his love for her and as they make love suspects Ekton is a werewolf. So she takes a sample of his hair and skin she had under her nails from scratching him during love making. When she puts the samples under her microscope she knows the truth. But will her discovery destroy them?.

As her relationship with Ekton grows, she becomes less focused on the results of her tests as they lead her to a conclusion she cannot report � Ekton is a werewolf- and that knowledge can spell trouble for his pack. I loved this one and I am usually not that fond of younger characters, college, teen etc. But this couple is adorable. Mia Maybe sure does change her mind but in the end she is...well, I'll let you read to find out. Ekton meets Mia to help her get settled in her dorm. He is such a charming flirt, and hot who could resist. She does try but after a while not to much.
Little does she know that her goal and job at school are not only against Ekton, but life threatening. She is signed up with a Scientist's project to study the wolves of Silver Lake. Yes, Ekton is a shifter wolf and feels betrayed when she...again don't want to spoil, so you'll need to check it out.
Mia hates to be called cute, but sorry, gal. You are adorable. Charming hot Ekton is for you and any reader with a heart will be rooting for her to figure that out. But even if she does, will it be too late?

I was given this book for an honest review. I so love this series. Each book that is written can be read as a standalone but trust me when I say you will not want to miss one book. Each one is just as great as the next.
Mia Maybee was attending Winter Valley University. She has a lot in store for her. She is working for Dr Sand to study the Silver Lake wolves. Dr Sand believes they are werewolves. Mia will have some very important decisions to be made. She will have to chose between being the famous research sciences or the man she might be in love with. Which chose will she make?
Ekton Wakefield who is this sexy werewolf is attending Winter Valley University. He probably never dreamed he would met his mate there. It truly drives him crazy to be around her. When he finds out what she is studying he realizes he might just have to let her go. Can he make that decision knowing she is his true mate?

Mia arrives at college determined to investigate the wolf legends in the area. She also has an instant attraction to one of the other students in the dorm named Ekton.
Ekton tries to teach Mia about not placing humans above the needs of animals when doing research and Mia begins to realize that maybe her priorities are not what they should be. As she learns more about Ekton and the area, she begins to question her scientific work but it might already have placed people she cares about at great risk.
Mia is so sure of herself at the beginning but as she learns more from Ekton, she grows and starts to understand what is truly important. Ekton is generous with his time and attention but not a fool. He understands the risks and tries hard to keep it all balanced.
I have enjoyed this series of quick reads about the Winter Valley Wolves. They know what they want and go after their mate with everything they have. They come in a pretty package too so it is hard to deny the chemistry.

Great shifter romance, it drew me right in! One scientist looking for proof of the mystical meets a handsome man who lives the mystical, what will come of their love? Mia is at Winter Valley College for a super secret science project, to discover if the local wolves are really werewolves! When she meets handsome and flirtatious Ekton, it turns out to be hard to keep her mind on her research and finds herself daydreaming about Ekton instead. But Ekton is hiding a secret, one that could cause serious problems for Mia, as her research could harm his very life. When Mia discovers his secret, will she still continue her research or protect him instead? I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A FUN SHIFTER MEETING BOOK
Mia Maybee goes to her first year of collage, and what helper they have, good looking guys without shirts , to help the girls get to their room. And a hunk steps up to help her, Ekton Wakefield, he seems to have a ball teasing her, about everything but her height (5 ft to his 6 ft). He is a little on edge at her studies, and will try to stay away but true mates have to find a way to be together. A possible threat to the Silver Lake Wolves can cause some problems. There are pure funny and a few sad times but a HEA in the end of this book.

He is a little on edge at her studies, and will try to stay away but true mates have to find a way to be together. A possible threat to the Silver Lake Wolves can cause some problems. There are pure funny and a few sad times but a HEA in the end of this book.

how will this end? will ekton be able to accept her or is everything just bound to go downhill from the moment he finds out?
a sweet short read where one of the winter valley wolves finds his other half, and once more it doesn't go as easy as they all wish it would go. the story holds a fast pace to it but it suits the story. i loved reading and i can't wait to read the next ones in this serial.

I got this in exchange for an honest review, I am a fan on Vaughn work I loved this series a lot about the shifters finding their mates not only that each shifter has different challenges with wining their mates and it also is different when the mate is human and not a shifter there is a whole new word to get into it is not always easy to be a shifter with a human mate there are a lot of emotional struggles that enter the equation Etkon and Mia are great characters I enjoyed how they meet interact and have such steamy hot fierce burning sensuality towards each other besides my favourite shifters is wolf and he one hot werewolf I recommend this series to everyone you will enjoy each moment spend reading these charming captivating unique wonderful characters

Mia comes to Winter Valley to find scientific evidence of werewolves but ends up chasing her tail. Of course she never dreamed of meeting Ekton, making her exchange her dreams of fame for dreams of love and family, but when Mia’s actions almost expose what the Wolves true nature is, Ekton leaves her heartbroken. Now Mia has figure out how it fix it or if it even can be fixed. Love this series and characters, Ekton’s quiet kindness and Mia’s passion and tenacity make for great chemistry. Good addition to the Winter Valley Wolves and the Mating Season Collection!

Mia Maybee a human comes to Winter Valley University with one aim to discover the Silver Lake Wolves secret and find out if they really are werewolves.The research program she is working on is suppose to find a way to make humans more adaptable to the world as it changes. Then Mia meets Ekton Wakefield who she does not know is one of the Silver lake wolves. As they spend time together they find them selves falling in love can Mia give up her dreams or is she using Ekton? A great addition to the series. This is book six and it does not disappoint. Mia Maybee arrives at the university sweaty and irritated and meets Ekton who helps her bring her stuff to her room. Ekton found his mate that fateful first meeting. I love how he romances her. She has a scientific mind and is determined to find out if Werewolves exist. Ekton makes it his mission to convince her that the wolves need protection. Its a very well written story with sexy and steamy scenes. Delightfully romantic.

This is another great installmentn in the Winter Valley Wolves series. I really enjoyed this this installment. This is a fast paced story that will bring out a range of emotions from anger, happiness, and sympathy; when a book can do all that, the author has done a great a job in my opinion. These books are part of a series but can be read in any order. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series!

Mia has accepted a full ride scholarship to Winter Valley University so she can study werewolves. Ekton is a Chemistry pre- med student who is also one of the Winter Valley Wolves. He know that Mia is his true mate but refuses to tell her since she wants to research the one thing he has to protect. Mia soon learns that she must also protect Ekton and his secret. This is a short story that is a standalone with no cliffhanger and a HEA. I can't wait for Esher's story next.

I received this book as a arc for my honest opinion.
What would you do if your life dream was to save humans from themselves but you had to destroy something beautiful to do it. Well that's what Mia Maybee has to figure out. She meets hottie Ekton Wakefield who takes her breathe away and shows her a whole different world.
I loved this book it's a great addition to winter valley wolves. V.Vaughn is an amazing author. I have had the honor to read several of her books and I have yet to find a bad one. This book and series is a must read.

Mia wants fame in the scientific community. She plans on getting it, eventually, by proving that the Silver Lake Wolves are more than just wolves. She meets Ekton and he is able to teach her that some things are meant to be left alone.
Ekton meets Mia on her first day at the University. He knows she is the one, but then he finds out what she wants to do to animals and now he has to teach her more then what she will learn in her classes.
