Unbeknownst to Gabriella, her husband’s mistress happens to be one of Skyler’s patients. Everyone’s life seems to be spiraling out of control, and somehow Skyler gets caught up in the middle. I liked this fast-paced Christian Fiction novel. I can identify with the character who is a Christian and a psychoanalyst. Dr. Skyler Little not only has to manage the issues of her patients but also provide mental health support to friends and family as they suffer through issues regarding adultery, unwanted pregnacies, child molestation, etc. She has to work 24 hours a day as a mental health worker. As a Christian who is also a mental health provider, I know what it's like to have to live my work. The writer uses her relationship with Jesus Christ to stay strong as she continually uplifts her friends, family, and patients. The story gave me encouragement. It reminded me about how being used in the lives of others in that way is a blessing and not a burden.
My only issue with this novel is that it didn't have an ending. Does eveeeeeeeeryy novel have to have a cliffhanger these days? This novel does not seem like it needs to be made into series and I found myself slightly annoyed that this novel, the fourth in a row, left us hanging in a way that didn't seem to fit the flow of the rest of the novel. I think this one could have been wrapped up with a nice ending.
I really enjoyed reading this book! You may read about adulterous affairs in books, but she brought in a psychoanalyst that had no idea that her client was sleeping with her best friend's husband. Interracial relationships too. Well-written to grab the reader's attention, where they do not want to put it down and able to picture themselves in these character's shoes.
Skyler is a psychiatrist and one of her patient's is having an affair with her best friend's husband! Sky will be caught up in the middle of this mess for no reason of her own. Read: 2010
This was a quick read for me. It had the level of suspense that I like. Skyler was a great character who was very inspiring and trusted God to see her through the situations she encountered and was able to share and help people with their faith in God.
This book was a great read. The only thing that was confusing is how the title is called Divorcing the Devil but her husband was a good man. And at the end it came to light that she had a stalker.
This book was okay, but I felt it had too many characters. Also the front of the book has nothing to do with story. The ending is terrible dies not go with story at all.
very, very good read!! The title had me just a little confused but it all did come together at the end. Very surprised of the ending!!! Would read more from the author
Unfortunately for me this book was in no way what I expected from the title and I was greatly disappointed. For some reason the story felt rushed( or maybe I just read to fast). The least satisfying part was the ending. The Tiatiana storyline never was flushed out or ended. It just stopped midstream. As if the author ran out of ideas of what to do with her. The last chapter came out of left field. A person NEVER mentioned in the book is suddenly introduced as the stalker. A stalker who you have never heard about until the next to last chapter. and then it's THE END. Sorry, I wanted to like this book more but at the end I just could not.
