"OD has created a powerful set of complementary interventions, such as team building, job enrichment, skill-based pay, and agile organizations, for addressing human process, technostructural, human resource, and strategic issues. These practices have shaped the way organizations are designed and managed and contributed to their effectiveness and change capability."

She's thick! This book contains a lot of interesting theories but is quite dense and hard to grasp at times. Enjoyed bits about transformational leadership and suitability practice.

Bear in mind that this is a textbook that may only be interesting to students and professionals who relate to organizational change. Good cases supplement the reading but the layout is dull. Maybe more colour and/or graphics could help. Did learn a lot.

Some text books make the content come alive this one takes great concepts and delivers them in a painful slow slog.................... Only read if you have to and I did and am glad that it is done!

Lots of useful, professional information. Lots of blah blah blah. It was very difficult to read and I couldn't read more than two pages at a time without having to take a break. This isn't a book. This is a scholarly textbook, so be prepared to read very challenging (albeit practical) concepts and topics. Minus 1 star for the difficulty I had in reading. Minus 1 star for the grammatical errors in a graduate level textbook. Minus 1 star for this book only being available as an eBook.

This is a university-level textbook and it shows. The material in it is good, but it is heavy going.

I wish this textbook had more of a public administration angle, even though the strategies and tactics cross all sectors of the business world. The case studies were helpful in understanding key concepts.
