Finding Mrs. Right

Rate this book
Tired of the dating scene, Gabe Mandeni throws himself into his work, so when he’s asked to help sponsor and fund a housing project for single moms, he’s excited about the opportunity to give back—and the long hours that will prevent him from being alone on Friday nights.

Single mother, Veronica Woods, does odd jobs to help pay the bills. During one of her days walking dogs in Central Park, Ronnie as she is known by her friends has a casual conversation with a handsome man. She never expects to see him again so she doesn’t even record his name in her memory bank.

When her name comes up on the list to move into housing for single moms, Ronnie is overwhelmed with joy. She glances over to see the man from the park at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Could this be fate or a mere coincidence?

Gabe’s worried about crashing and burning—again, but Ronnie’s different. Can he risk his heart or should he walk away while he still can?

(2.5 Stars) This is not a typical boy-meets-girl romance. Gabe is a wealthy playboy, one whom everyone thinks should settle down. When he decides to find his soul mate, things get a little crazy with blind dates and false alarms. Some of those blind dates were absurdly hilarious.

Gabe is a little older for a leading, single hero, but I enjoyed the process of his dating life and I especially liked his relationship with Cooper, his assistant. They have a funny way of communicating and expressing their thoughts, which is entertaining. The premise is a lot of fun, but the execution fell a little flat for me. The characters all seemed to have the same prim and proper voice and the conversations lack emotion.

Once Gabe makes the decision to find someone, he's all in and has suddenly reformed from his playboy "love 'em and leave 'em" ways. It's nice that he can do an about-face and really settle into life, but at the same time, it's ironic that one girl he dates is in it for the physical aspects and he gets so offended, yet he was just that way himself. I like consistency with a character and realistic reactions to situations and I didn't always feel that with this book.

I thought I knew from the beginning who he would end up with and was pleasantly surprised with the twists. This is a good story for those who love "fluff" reads with some steam.

Content: some language; spicy romance (the act is technically behind closed doors, but there is a little more content than I'm comfortable with leading up to it and there are implications of what's going on).

Finding Mrs. Right (Romantic Destinations) by Debbie White
Gabe confirms what women have known since the beginning of time. Men are clueless when it comes to matters of the heart. The playboy bachelor wants someone to call his own, but the poor guy gets more than he bargained for.Laughs are never ending.Finding Mrs. Right is a kooky tale of humor and romance. Tons of fun.

This book has a beautiful cover and is written in Gabe's, the main male character's, point of view. It follows his life as a single multi-millionaire living with his butler who is his close friend. It takes the reader through Gabe's desires to find a woman with whom to share all he has. It goes from OK dates to disastrous ones and sometimes feels a bit rushed.
As with all romances, it does have an abrupt, happy ending. You can't help but love Gabe's positive outlook and Cooper, his talented and bright British butler. They are a funny and close pair, enjoying their lives, each other and their jobs.
The story feels at times a bit disjointed and at others contradictory. Things like "we will take it slow and see where it goes" and in the next phrase they are all over each other on their second date. Still, it is an OK story. I would recommend it to adults only. There are a couple of unnecessary swear words and adult situations.

Not sure

3 stars

I know there was a story line somewhere in the book but for me I couldn't really find it. I am not a big fan of characters telling their story from their POV and that was what this author did in my opinion don't get me wrong though some points the book started to take off between the two but then it dropped.

Nice

Happy Reading

Finding Mrs. Right (Romantically Destinations Book 1)

Oh my.... Amazing written Debbie has done it again with this little series. Relationship between the character's in this story we're absolutely awesome to read, Passionate, Drama to hand in hand. He man in this story was basically trying to find the right woman who he could have as a girl friend, many became friends, trying so hard to find the right one that would like him and not just his money! Ps you have to read it to find out what happens next, Book 2! Enjoy!

Good

He was looking for a long term Mrs. Right, but kept getting Miss Wrong. He finally talks to a dog walker he met in the park. But he thinks she is great. But after being burned a few times, he wasn't sure. Did she walk into his life.

Trouble Finding Love

Gave was ready to meet someone and settle down as a family. It seemed like everyone had someone they thought he should date. But things were not working out and he took a break. Looked like he would end up being a lonely old man.

Finding Mrs. Right by Debbie White is a contemporary romance. This book was kind of boring for me, I had to force myself to finish it. Finding Mrs. Right is book 1 of the Romantic Destinations Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Just lovely.

Sweet, clean, realistic. All the feelings conjured by Cinderella and her prince, but in a much more modern, realistic setting and situation. Warts, wrinkles and all.

* I received an ebook in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. *

I give this book a 3.5 stars so I rounded up to 4 stars. I have read several books by author Debbie White, and each one is a bit of a different style of both story and writing. I think that this one is a bit harder of a stretch for the reader as it is told from the male's POV but the author is a woman that needs a bit more work on knowing how a man thinks. It just didn't flow smoothly for me throughout the book.

The book seemed a bit rushed at times and at times there was just a bit too much fluff or filler for my tastes. The author had a great idea with the plot, but it needed a bit more substance and a bit more male research, I feel. The main character, Gabe, was a hard character to like at times - he was wealthy, but had some unrealistic actions and ideas - when someone no longer wants to date, a certified letter and a ton of calls is a bit stalkerish in my opinion. Gabe is described as well to do, good looking and fit - yet he couldn't find a date on his own....when he told one of his dates that he wanted to take it slow and then they are in a passionate situation, the reader feels a bit like they received some whiplash.

It was the little things that added up to make this story a bit of stretch for me - I will definitely try this author again, because she does write some amazing stories - everyone is entitled to an "off" day. Not my favorite book, but not the worst book that I have ever read either. If I am entertained even a bit, I consider the authors job as done.

I really loved this story.
I loved Gabe and Cooper's relationship. Cooper is truly a friend to Gabe.
All of Gabe's encounters in search of the right woman were both interesting and in some cases pure torture, but in the end I believe he got the best Mrs. Right for him.

Finding Mrs.Right. This was a sweet book about a man looking for the right woman to complete his life. Not that he wasn't happy with his life, it just didn't seem complete. He wanted more. Someone to spend time with and to enjoy life with. He had given up but decided to try again when he met Rose. That started the process of looking for Mrs. Right again but turned into a fiasco. Some of the people Gabe knows thinks they know his type and get in on the hunt and offers him women to date He takes the women to lunch instead of dinner just in case it doesn't work out. Boy what adventures he has with the women! I laughed through the book. But I was not surprised by who he ended up with. I was rooting for Veronica! She was my choice! This was a great read!

Gabe is rich, goodlooking and an all around good guy. He's ready to settle down with "the one". All his friends has the "perfect" girl for him. From the recently divorced man hater to the very devote one to the one who works at a tv studio, all of his friends have the best intentions but have no real idea of what Gabe is looking for. Gabe himself isn't sure. He prettty taken with Rose but she is only interested in a friends with benefits relationship. Gabe is not sure how he feels abot being used for sex lol. Sally, his assistant could be a possibility? Then he meets Ronnie a dog walker in the park. She is def not what he expected. He just couldn't seem to forget her. Who will be Gabes Mrs. Right? I love HEA

Finding Mrs. Right ( Romantic Destination Book 1 )
By: Debbie White

Finding Mrs. Right is book one in Romantic Destination series. I really enjoyed Finding Mrs. Right, the story and the characters both were easy to follow. I can’t wait till the next book comes out. Debbie White has a good series started . Gabe is New York’s wealthiest bachelor and he is fed up with dating. Everyone is telling him that he needs to find Mrs. Right. He wishes everyone would just leave him alone . I like the story that it is told by a man’s view. What should Gabe do?

I found this book to be a lighthearted, easy read. It was a different kind of love story, told from the main character Gabe's view point. I enjoyed the book, but there were a couple of things in the book I had a hard time believing. Gabe was rich, good looking and had his own business, but he couldn't get a date. I understand that he might attract the wrong kind of girls being rich, but it seemed he couldn't attract even those. When he does find Rose, a girl that he is crazy about, she starts ignoring him and not taking his calls, so he sends her a certified letter. The story ends like any good love story, bob gets the girl and they live happily ever after.

I enjoyed reading Finding Mrs. Right especially since it was written from the male perspective, which is uncommon. Gabe is a successful business man who is looking for "the One" He has several failed attempts and one very disappointing failure in his quest. I also enjoyed the male bonding and humor between Gabe and his friend ands well meaning assistant Cooper. It is a delightful read and I am glad it is a beginning of a series. I can't wait to read what's next.

Finding Mrs. Right was a great book. The story is told through the guy’s perspective. I loved it! The relationship that Gabe and his assistant, Cooper, had was great. Gabe is tired of the dating scene and starts looking for The One. The story is funny and uplifting. I recommend this book to those who love a good book reading a novel from a guys perspective. I was given a copy of this book to write an honest review.

I received this book free for a review.

I really liked the Hero Gabe. He is what made the book so enjoyable for me. It was a reversal from other storylines where the heroine's are the ones looking for love, in this book it's Gabe who wants marriage and the Ladies who aren't sure.

Ronnie and Gabe were such a sweet couple. They were destined to meet and fall in love. Gabe was such a gentleman who respected women. I loved Cooper who was Gabe's assistant and best friend. You will enjoy reading this if you love sweet love.
