4 - "You and me..." Stars!

The third book in the Good Hope series brings Marigold Bloom back to town, and I love nothing more than a couple who have a one night stand in their history reconnecting.

If you read the previous book in the series, there were hints that all was not well with Marigold’s high flying life in Chicago, as hair stylist to the rich and famous, turns out a few weeks on, and the only thing Marigold is styling when she returns to Good Hope with a car full of possessions, is her responses to why she is back in town. One thing she tries to make very, very clear from the start though is that it’s not permanent.

After five successful years, she found herself now back at square one

This gives her and Police Chief Cade Rallis the perfect opportunity to explore further the mad chemistry that developed between them the one night they did spend together, and because their time together has an expiry date they agree to keep things on the fun side. Thing is one of them is not completely sure that ‘fun is all they want, and the longer Marigold is in town the deeper those feelings grow.

"I won’t ask for more than you are willing to give."

Cindy Kirk has such an easy to get along with writing style it was no problem to fall right into this story, my one gripe was the repetition on which Marigold went on about her time in town not being permanent, it seemed to be thrown in almost every other paragraph at points and got a little wearing, it also made her look a little selfish as well. But for all that it was only a mild gripe, because I loved getting back into the Good Hope community, catching up with recurring characters, and finally seeing others get their just-desserts, all the while enjoying Cade gently wooing Marigold with his many and varied charms.

In Good Hope you were never alone. Someone always had your back.

This is a series that has massive scope and although there is only one Bloom sibling left to have their story told now, and the author dropped enough hints about Delphinium Blooms current circumstances to know that her and Jeremy are going to be the focus of the next book, I hope that the series extends beyond that. Forever in Good Hope looks to be set for release August 17, I cannot wait to go back again!

ARC generously provided via Netgalley, it was my absolute pleasure to provide the above honest review in exchange.

Marigold Bloom is the next sister to return to Good Hope. She's not staying though....NO WAY!! After losing her glamorous hair styling job in Chicago, she returns to Good Hope to regroup and figure out her next move. Meeting up with the sexy town sheriff Cade Rallis was never in her plans but in a town as small as Good Hope it doesn't take long for him to track her down. After spending an amazing weekend with him previously, she knows resisting him now will be almost impossible and it appears he doesn't plan on giving her that option. Could he ever get Marigold to want to stay? Would he ever be enough?

This was a great read and one I would definitely recommend.

Be Mine In Good Hope is the perfect winter romance!
The author does a fabulous job introducing the characters in this fast-paced, character driven novel. Marigold Bloom arrives at her sister’s New Year’s Eve party and senses that a man that she met at a wedding a few months ago is nearby. Marigold smiles when she sees Sheriff Cade Rallis walking towards her. The powerful attraction between Marigold and Cade drew me into the story. I enjoyed reading the couple’s journey from lovers to friends. Be Mine In Good Hope is a fun, refreshing twist to the second chance story!
Marigold has returned home to Good Hope. She needs time to regroup after being fired from her job in Chicago. She tells her sisters, her father, friends and Cade throughout the novel that she is only staying in Good Hope temporarily. Marigold’s goal is to work as a stylist in New York or California. She wants to be successful in a large city; she’s not a small town girl. On the other hand, Cade worked for the Detroit police department before he arrived in Good Hope. He loves the small tight knit community of Good Hope so much that he has decided to run for the sheriff position.
The themes of loss and sense of belonging were important in the novel. Both Cade and Marigold have suffered losses. Marigold is still affected by her mother’s death and this drives her desire to be famous. A broken engagement haunts Cade and he realizes that he was to blame for the break up. Loved the scenes when the couple meets at the Friday Night Skate night and when they decide to date. Cade and Marigold are talked into running an afterschool first grade scouting group. Their first meeting doesn’t go as planned and it was fabulous to read how they decided to work together to help their group successful. The author does a fabulous job weaving the members of the Bloom family throughout this novel. The conversations between the sisters are humorous, honest and poignant!
The couple’s relationship becomes more serious as the annual Valentines dance approaches. Cade loves Marigold but, he realizes that her dreams and his are different. The couple suffers a serious setback during the dance. The conclusion to the story surprised me—but was absolutely perfect for the couple.

This is really more like 4 1\2 stars.

I loved Cade and Marigold's connection. They felt it and didnt fight it.

Reading this book made me want to live in a small town. Sure there the gossip and jealousy. But really that is everywhere. Right!?!

What I really loved was Anita. No spoilers ... but I loved it.

Now the wait begins for Fin' story ...

I love the Bloom sisters!! This story is about Marigold, the baby of the family, and it was just as entertaining as the other two. I was surprised at the sex in it. Nothing graphic, but the other ones didn't have sex in them. If you like series books, and like reading about small towns and close families, you will love this. Now I can't wait to see what happens with Finn!! (Delphium).

Marigold Bloom was on the fast track to becoming a big name in beauty. Then the bottom falls out of her world and she must return home for at least a short time to regroup.

Her family lives in Good Hope. Her widowed father, and two older married sisters are living their lives in Good Hope. This is the same home town she left because she promised herself her success would be greater than anyone she knows.

When she returns home, she runs into Sheriff Cade Rallis. In the past, they had a one night stand that rocked their worlds. That attraction is still there and it appears to be very strong.

This is a love story. Not just the love between a man and a woman but the love of family and friends for one another.

Marigold's family treasures her as well as one another. Each person is an important part of the family. The mutual love and respect in the family are as important as any character in the story.

Cade is new to town but he has fallen in love with this small town. He hopes to become a permanent resident. That means he must win an election for sheriff and defeat a home town boy in the process.

How does one define success? Since Marigold was a little girl, she has believed the true success in life is to be at the top of your chosen field. She is willing to leave town and leave her family behind in order to achieve her success.

The short time she is at home draws her into the town's familiar rhythm. Events bring back memories and create new ones for she and Cade. The two of them share inner thoughts and dreams with one another. It becomes evident there are a great deal of shared values.

All of the secondary characters are wonderful. There is a texture to the story and all characters help create that texture.

This book is part of a series but it is easily read as a stand alone. I have not read the previous books, but I look forward to reading the next one.

Good Hope is a small town that would be a wonderful home town. Everyone knows everything that goes on, but generally the knowledge is treated with kindness and love.

The characters of Marigold and Cade are powerful. Because of who they are, the reader wants the very best for each of them.

I enjoyed this book very much.

I won this book in a contest sponsored by the author. I am voluntarily writing this review. All opinions are my own.

I have read the first book Christmas in Good Hope and fell in love with the characters and town immediately. When I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher; I had no problem volunteering to review it! I couldn't wait to read more about Good Hope and the Bloom family.

This book details the relationship between Marigold Bloom, a hairstylist. and Cade Rallis, the local sheriff. A series of misfortunes lead Marigold back home to Good Hope. to recoup and re-evaluate her life. She and Cade have a history. Marigold plans for her return to Good Hope to be temporary... Cade is the new sheriff in town and cant imagine a life anywhere but in Good Hope.

Now to the good stuff... I love reading about towns and the families in them. This book did not disappoint. I already liked the surrounding characters in the book. (ok, there was one or two that couldn't wait to read had been found by Karma)

For the most part I liked Marigold. I was often annoyed with her constant reminders of her being in Good Hope not being permanent. The relationship between Cade and Marigold is well developed. I enjoyed their dialog and was never bored. I am looking forward to a story about the last Bloom sister next....

Celebrated hairstylist Marigold Bloom had worked for a prestigious salon in Chicago. After a fallout with her boss, she returns to Good Hope, Wisconsin for some rejuvenation and time with her family. The one thing she didn’t want was a reunion with the man she left behind. Will she choose a new job in the big city, or take her chances on love? Sheriff Cade Rallis has never forgotten Marigold. As his election draws near, will he stay in Good Hope or find a career somewhere else? And, will he fight for true love?
I truly love this series. It always leaves me in a great mood, and I never want the book to end. The only drawback is the realization that this isn’t an actual place. If it were, there would be an immense population explosion, and everyone would want to live near the Blooms. This book had a very deep message about the pressure we place on ourselves, and the true meaning of success. True success has nothing to do with money. Great characters, plot, and setting, what more can you ask for? Well, more books in this series. I can’t wait to read the next one! This is such an Outstanding series - Love the entire Bloom family!
Oh Marigold - "her life might be unraveling quicker than a row of dropped stitches, but memories of that one perfect night still had the power to buoy her spirits" - I was already totally captivated and definitely needed to find out more.
Sheriff Cade Rallis - oh yes - he would be my perfect memory too. He wasn't just sexy and Hot but was a truly great guy too.
Whether it was the sizzle of attraction, their sexy banter, their shared laughter and determination with their Seedling troop, or the come hither looks they shared - they were just perfect for each other! The only problem ( as Marigold tells us repeatedly ), she's only in Good Hope "temporarily" until she lands her dream job. My fingers were crossed that she would recognize what was right in front of her - Cade!!
With amazing characters, that played their roles to perfection, I could not put the book down and loved every moment of their story.

By the time I finished this book, I had a smile on my face, but I was a little slow getting there. I love the Bloom girls and Good Hope, but I had a difficult time getting into this one. At the beginning, Marigold seemed very shallow, a "good time" girl who was only interested in hopping into bed. I know there were subtle clues that that wasn't true, but there really wasn't much time spent in Marigold's head, building a relationship with me, the reader. I needed more. I understand that there were reasons for this, but it definitely affected my enjoyment of the book. I wanted to care more about her. Also, the development of her emotional relationship seemed to shift abruptly from cold to hot. I would have like to see it build a bit more so it made more sense to me at the end. In spite of these criticisms, I DID enjoy the book and look forward to the next installment in the Good Hope series. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and my review is voluntary. Please read on if you would like to hear my thoughts on the book.

This is the 3rd installment of the Good Hope series and I have really enjoyed them as each addresses a different theme that a lot of older adults struggle with. The themes are completely relatable. I love the journey the main couple takes in re establishing what success looks like at different time in your life and the importance of communication in all relationships.

This books is a quick enjoyable read and I recommend for anyone that likes romantic fiction. I would way that it is not necessary to have read the other books in the series to enjoy this book by itself but having the background of the characters in books 1 & 2 enhances this book.

I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily writing a review. Cindy Kirk has created a small town that anyone would love to live in and a family that we all can relate to. Be Mine in Good Hope is Marigold and Cade's story. They previously met at a wedding and sparks ignited into a brief affair. Marigold has returned to Good Hope to regroup and heal after her world has come crashing down. Cade moved to Good Hope last year when he was given the Sheriff's job. When they meet at a New Year's eve party, the sparks reignite. Marigold maintains that this is only a temporary stop over but Cade is doing his best to convince her to stay. Family, friends and love are combined to create a truly wonderful story.

The story of Cade and Marigold is not only a beautiful and romantic love story it is a story of family, friendship, and of what matters most in life.

Marigold struggles throughout the book to make sure she is successful and ultimately she is. I have read all 3 of the Bloom sister books and have fallen in love with the family and Good Hope.

These books always remind me of how important family is. I lost my mother to cancer a few years ago just like the Bloom sisters and can relate to some of the emotions that are felt while reading these stories.

I can't wait for the next book to come out!

I am trying to pick a fave in the series ... I found this on Kindle Unlimited ... but they didn't offer the Audible option on this one? Not sure why? I love each of these books in this series ... the family is too fun. Love the calm nature ... enjoyable ...love the flower names. I love how you keep hearing from the characters throughout the series or each book. A well knitted family ... they do have each other's back. it is a lighthearted series ... I think we need a Bloom Family movie ... or a tv show like Cedar Cove (from Debbie Macomber's books) now that would so so cool. I love the series. So so cool!! well done. I would recommend getting started if you have never started the Good Hope Series ...please start soon and pop over me a note to give me your thoughts!! ( ;

first of all I want to thank cindy kirk and the publisher for allowing me to be apart of this ARC. now that I have finished this book I can honestly say I was crying in the end when marigold finally reveled her secret why she felt the need to to get away from new hope. the fact that it was more than not wanting to get hurt and being blind on what was right in front of her was obvious but I don't think even marigold knew that. as far as cade was concerned well he's male and facing his feelings and voicing them was never a strong point so they both had work to do and in the end with friends and family they discovered each other and themselves.

Oh my! I loved this! The complexities in Marigolds personality and watching her work through her issues gave this story depth and heart. I enjoyed watching her come into her own. And Cade was just as yummy to read! Good Hope is one of those places created for a story but makes you want to move there and make friends all the lovely citizens. And how about Mr. Bloom? He’s my dream dad! This was a fantastic read from start to finish. I know there is only 1 Bloom sister left but maybe we can convince the author we need to live there just a little longer? I’m sure there are other HEA’s to be made in Good Hope!

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. I have read a couple of author, Cindy Kirk's, books and enjoyed them so I enjoyed reading this one. I especially enjoyed the familiar relationships of the Bloom family and others in the Good Hope community. Be Mine in Good Hope is not a sappy Valentine's story, but is about building a relationship and communicating with your partner. Marigold also learned a little about herself, and what is important to her. Cindy Kirk does an exceptional job with character development, and her detailed descriptions help immerse you in the story and to feel like you're a part of the town.

I love this third book in the Good Hope series! This book is about Bloom sister, Marigold. I can really relate to Marigold’s definition and struggle with success in her professional life, which made this a fun read for me. The way their family comes together to support each other is what family life is all about. This is a great valentine love story to fill your winter evenings. I am looking forward to Book #4!

I love this series. It's full of fun and love. The Bloom sisters are all very different, but there is nothing they wouldn't do for each other. Good Hope is full of all kinds of characters. Some you love and some make you cringe. This story is primarily about Marigold and Cade, but don't worry, the whole Good Hope town are active throughout the story. The Good Hope series is a group of light romantic stories that don't have a lot of depth, but have a lot of heart. They take place in the idyllic small town of Good Hope where everyone knows everyone, everyone has a quaint and successful job, and every single week seems to be filled with some sort of community event. I'm not sure that a town like this really exists in the United States, but if it does, I'd sure love to move there. The atmosphere and family/friend connections in these stories make them sweet reads, even when there is not a lot of plot to drive them along. With the first two books in this series I barely noticed, but in this one I did.

What changed?

Well, I have recently fallen in love with audio books. I love listening to them while I'm puttering around the house doing chores. I feel like I'm being doubly productive. Although I owned the kindle edition of this story I saw that the audio book whispersync edition was super cheap, so I thought that this would be an excellent book to listen to for the week of Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, when the written dialogue and events are a tad hokey or cliche, I can somewhat compensate when I am reading the story by putting my own internal inflections on the words. They don't come out sounding so unrealistic or ridiculous. But when a narrator speaks those words out loud, the silly dialogues and events are magnified. I thought that the narration by Amy McFadden was less than average. There are a lot of women in this story, and her voices of these women made them sound over-the-top cartoonish. In particular, Marigold sounded like a complete snob ... only to be outdone by her sister, Fin, when she shows up at the tail end of the novel. I couldn't stand the Marigold of this story. Until ....

I stopped listening to the audio book and started reading my kindle version. Awwwwww. So much better. Sure, the dialogue and situations were still a bit unrealistic, but it sounded sooooo much better in my head. I remembered why it was that I liked this series so much. I'm a bit sad that I waited so long to grab the kindle. I wonder if I would have ended up liking this story as much as I liked the first two books. Oh well. Lesson learned. I still want to see what the future holds. I'm a little afraid to read Fin's story since I got a bad taste in my mouth regarding her attitude in this story. We'll see. I do love this town, though, so I'll continue to read about it. Three stars for this one. I liked it.

It was nice to be back in Good Hope, Wisconsin.Ìý To me it's a small town with a big heart.Ìý The Bloom family and their flower named daughters were front and center along with their spouses, children, significant others and the sheriff, Cade.Ìý Cade and Marigold, the youngest Bloom daughter, have chemistry that could set off fireworks.Ìý He's running for reelection against a home town boy, who is his deputy, and looking to set down roots in Good Hope, or is he?Ìý Marigold comes home after losing her job as a hairstylist in a prestigious salon in Chicago but doesn't plan to stay there long or does she?Ìý When she and Cade meet up after not seeing each other for eighteen months, they met at his cousin's wedding, it's like not a moment has passed.

As Cade and Marigold's temporary relationship continues to grow and deepen, she's running scared.Ìý She made a vow when her mom died that she was going to go the furthest in her career, be the most successful and leave her sisters eating her dust.Ìý But is her fame and good fortune worth it or is time to settle down with Mr. Right?Ìý The interactions among all the characters felt real and touched on many emotions.Ìý They were honest to a fault even if the others didn't always want to hear it!Ìý The book flowed nicely and the characters had a depth to them.

There were laughter, tears, lots of small businesses, the styling world, small town antics, wonderful descriptions, hurt, anger, fear, some darkness, jealousy, sorrow, jobs and careers, their pasts, innuendo, love, loving and romance.Ìý There were some secrets along with a few surprises.Ìý The relationship between the sisters and their dad was refreshing and it was nice to see how often everyone got together.Ìý There was nice closure and a happily ever after but I hope we're back in Good Hope again since there's at least Fin's story to tell although she's a hard character to like from what I've seen of her so far.

This is the third book in the Good Hope series...and I loved it just as much as I did the first two. All three books are easy to read and do not have to be read in order.

This is the story of Marigold and Cade. Marigold has returned to her home town of Good Hope where Cade is the new sheriff. Their relationship goes through many ups and downs throughout the book. I was so involved with the book, that I'd find myself wanting to give a little advice to Marigold!

The book tells the story of Marigold and Cade and it also details the love and friendship Marigold has with her widowed father and two sisters.

Marigold had always believed that to achieve true success in life she needed to be the best in her chosen field. She left town to attend school and after graduation, moved rapidly to the top of her field as a hair stylist.

As the story unfolds, Marigold returns home to Good Hope and finally realizes that what she believed would tell the world that she had succeeded in life was not necessarily what her heart wanted.

The town of Good Hope is the kind of small town that I know that I would love to live in. The lives of each of the characters in the book are woven together beautifully.

I truly enjoyed this book (and the first two!) and look forward to the next book about the Bloom sisters!

Like the series like this book because they got together and had to work at keeping it together.
Marigold and Cade hook up at a friends wedding. She comes back into town for New Years Eve. Then it comes out she’s not only in town for NYE but she’d been fired from her high class hairdresser job in Chicago.
Cade and Marigold spend time together. They get pizza, go to hockey games, go to the skating at the pond. People are all looking at them like a couple.she had been up front that she was only there temporarily. Cade hoped for more he took her to some land he was to buy showed her this is where I want to raise my family, she’s all giddy.
Cade is up for re-election and needs back up plan, a town he had interviewed with calls and he said to put him in for a chance. Marigold finds out and gets upset cause he’s making plans without her. But she has been doing this all along.
Cade comes to her and tells her he loves her and will do anything to make them work. Marigold tells him she has rethought success and it’s not a career but the love of your life and family that’s she wants to stay with him.
They get married, go to Iceland and when they get back the sisters had redone the salon. All ready for her.

I have read the first two books in the Good Hope Series. Christmas in Good Hope and Summer in Good Hope I love the characters and town.

This book details the relationship between the youngest sister Marigold Bloom, and Cade Rallis. Marigold is a hairstylist and Cade is the temporary local sheriff. After being fired by her boss in Chicago, Marigold heads back home to Good Hope. Marigolds plans to stay in Good Hope temporarily, she is looking to regroup. Cade is the temporary sheriff in town and he would like to become the permanent one because he can not imagine a life anywhere but in Good Hope.
The book is well written. I liked Marigold. At times I wanted to shake her and tell her to wake up. You can still have success in Good Hope. The relationship between Cade and Marigold is well developed. I enjoyed how their relationship progressed. This book did not disappoint. I already liked the surrounding characters in the book. I am looking forward to the story about Fin Bloom, the last sister.

I love small town romances and this book was an excellent one. Marigold Bloom is back in Good Hope after losing her job. Months before this she hooked up for one night with Cade Rallis the town sheriff. So when she comes back they pretty much instantly start where they left off. Marigold refuses to stay in Good Hope and of course Cade doesn't want to leave so they know their relationship is temporary but they can't stay away form each other. The romance was so sweet and the chemistry was off the charts. I loved the story line, the secondary characters and the fact there were sex scenes but not explicit. It made it all feel more like they were really falling in love. I like the fact that both Marigold and Cade made mistakes and they weren't perfect but you love them anyway. Such a great book and I look forward to reading more by this author.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book through NetGalley and am voluntarily reviewing it. I enjoyed this book best of all so far. This was the third in the series of the Bloom Sisters and small town neighbors. This book tells the story of Marigold Bloom, who was trying to prove her worth to her family and town. What she learned was that is she was the only one that didn't see clearly that she was already loved and respected by those that she was trying to impress the most. The book is full of all sorts of small town characters, and the interactions between the characters keep you wanting to turn the page to see what will happen next. I loved the value of sisters and family and the small town setting. Although usually by book three of a series I'm not interested in reading more, this series has me looking forward to the next one!
