This book includes a bonus novella, Crashing the Boards.
Jealous boyfriends and glitzy parties can be a recipe for disaster. When the gorgeous yet controlling Cooper interrupts a party Izzy was paid to crash and almost ruins her career as a professional party crasher, Izzy kicks him to the curb. She learned early in life not to count on anyone, and she will not relinquish her independence, not even to a sexy-as-sin pro athlete who can melt her heart with one wink.
As the Sockeyes hockey team opens their inaugural season in Seattle, Cooper finds himself minus a girlfriend and plus a surly teenaged nephew. Cooper doesn't want to be a surrogate dad, he doesn't want to play in Seattle, and he doesn't want to be alone. He misses Izzy, but seeing her with other men at parties turns him every shade of green. Regardless, he wants her back, and he's willing to change, if only she'll give him a second chance. Aware of her precarious finances, Cooper makes an offer she can't refuse by hiring her to be responsible for his nephew when he's traveling with the team.
Fearing Cooper isn't capable of changing his control-freak ways, Izzy resists his efforts to turn their financial arrangement into a personal relationship. He needs a sweet, docile girlfriend, and Izzy cannot be that woman. Yet, when tragedy strikes, Izzy is there when Cooper needs her the most, and love has a way of getting what it wants, no matter the circumstances.

Hockey star and party crasher, with a side of family responsibility equals a unique entertaining reading experience. Crashing the Net is a great read, and has great characters with Cooper, Izzy and Riley. Love this Seattle Sockeyes Hockey series!
This book was a stupid drama after another. The h is out of this world lunatic, the H wanted me to believe he had something terrible in his past (something really horrible happened to his sister and he blamed himself.. Note: he was 10 years old then). His sister disappeared for I don't know , 15 years I guess, and he never, for a minute, tried to find her (he was a wealthy hockey player) just after his nephew showed up at his front door he thought about his sister who he claimed was the cause he was a out of limit, tough guy. WHAT? Then he dicided to put a PI on her. Therr are 3 pov here: h, H and the nephew. Horrible. My review is also horrible, and I feel horrible I read this.

Those of you who have read Crashing the Boards will remember Cooper and Izzy from there.
Cooper is the captain of a popular hockey team and Izzy is a professional party crasher. They meet in an unlikely fashion and go from zero to 100 in a tumultuous, sizzling whirlwind romance!
Where we pick up in this installment, things have simmered down and Izzy wants no more to do with Cooper. After all, she can’t count on anyone but herself and she can’t be the woman he needs her to be.
But, Cooper isn’t having that. He wants Izzy back in his life, and in his bed, and will do anything to keep her.
Cooper then makes an irrefutable business proposition with Izzy and from there it’s, as you say, the rest is history!
Cooper and Izzy go throw their share of ups and downs, petty arguments, jealousies, tragedies, and revelations that shake up their entire beings and lives. It’s a combustible mix as they overcome past obscurities, bad habits, and take a second chance upon love.
I definitely recommend for you hockey fans and JamiDavenport fangirls!
CRASHING THE NET is the perfect blend of wonderfully written hockey romance, with realistic characters and sizzling chemistry. Izzy has always had a tough life and learns at an early age she must make sacrifices for her family. She and her sisters start a business called Party Crashers and while working at one of the parties she meets Cooper, a professional hockey player with the Sockeyes. They are attracted to one another, but they are cautious and stubborn and fight their feelings for each other. I admire Izzy and all she has accomplished. She has practically raised her sisters herself. She hasn’t had an easy life, but she never gives up and always has an optimistic attitude. Izzy is an independent woman and doesn’t allow Cooper to overwhelm her with his macho, overprotective ways and I love how she stands up to him. He is not used to a woman like Izzy and isn’t sure how to deal with her smart mouth, which he finds both aggravating and sexy. Cooper is jealous and protective of Izzy and it drives her crazy that he doesn’t trust her, but he can’t help how he feels, his past has taught him not to trust women. Cooper is easy to like. On the outside he is a big, tough hockey player, with a loud bark but he is also a nice guy with a big heart.
Jami Davenport writes a captivating story about a sexy hockey player who is macho and sensitive and a sassy woman who gives him a run for his money. This is the third book in the Game On in Settle series and each one is a stand-alone. I thoroughly enjoyed getting lost in this book.
I loved this book.....a great love story! When Izzy Maxwell & Cooper Black first met in Crashing The Boards, the chemistry between them was electric! In this book they are at odds, yet at the sight of Izzy makes Cooper's blood boil and at Cooper's nearness causes Izzy's heart to flutter and her bones to melt. When Cooper's sister abandons her teenage son Riley, Cooper finds he must take responsibility for the boys welfare. Asking for Izzy's help with the boy reunites the couple.
I loved Cooper's alpha male attitude and Izzy's strong will to make her own way with her Party Crashers business. Even if hockey isn't your game, Game On in Seattle is a great series. Jami Davenport has great knowledge of the game of hockey and does a wonderful job of story telling when it comes to matters of the heart.
**I was provided an ARC by the author for an honest review**
We originally met Izzy Maxwell and Cooper Black in Jami Davenport's Crashing the Boards and while the sparks flew between them upon their first meeting, things have decidedly cooled at the beginning of this sequel due to the jealous and controlling ways that plague Cooper. When Cooper almost ruins one of the parties that Izzy and her sisters are crashing, she calls it quits with the star hockey player. Izzy is determined to stick to her original plan - only rely on herself and nobody else.
While Cooper prepares to start training camp, he's surprised when his teenage nephew shows up on his doorstep after his mother abandons him only leaving his uncle's address for the young boy to find. Cooper knows he's in over his head and while he's desperately trying to figure out what to do with a moody teenager, he's also missing Izzy something fierce and fighting demons from his own childhood that are seeping into every part of his daily life now.
Needing the woman he is falling for in his life, and knowing that Izzy is struggling financially, Cooper agrees to try to change his jealous ways if only she'll give him a second chance. With Izzy back in his life helping to care for his nephew, Riley, Cooper finally feels like he's got things going in the right direction. That is until he realizes that both Izzy and Riley are becoming more permanent in his life than he intended them to.
When tragedy strikes, Cooper turns to the one person he instinctively reaches for - Izzy. Will Cooper and Izzy be able to overcome not only the scary situation they are immersed in, but the demons from both their pasts that threaten their future?
I loved this book! Jami Davenport did a fantastic job immersing us in the lives of these characters and really making us feel all that they are as we move through the story. I would highly recommend this book, and the entire Game On in Seattle series. I would suggest that if you haven't read Crashing the Boards that you do so before reading this book.
What can I say but absolutely loved this book. Cooper Black Captain of the Seattle Sockeyes and Izzy Maxwell Professional Party Crasher come together once again to see where this all consuming chemistry will lead to. Cooper is reluctantly playing in a city where he doesn't want to be and can't wait to move on but then their is Izzy a woman who has gotten to him and if he can put aside his Alpha Jealous tendencies things might go somewhere But the two of them do not expect a teenage boy one being Reilly, Cooper's nephew he didn't know about throwing their life upside down in ways they never expected. We are taken on the rollercoaster ride of our life with ups and downs twists and turns but a ride you don't want to get off or miss just to see what happens at the end. The love of family bond comes together and all you are hoping for is a HEA not only for Cooper and Izzy but one where Reilly is included too. If you are looking for a series not only a book that will you wanting more and will pull you in right from page one up until you see the words The End this is the one for you.

"Crashing the Net" is written by Jami Davenport, and it part of her Game On in Seattle series. It can be read as a stand-alone book. It features hockey star Cooper Black and party crasher Izzy Maxwell.
We first read about Cooper and Izzy in the novella "Crashing the Boards," and from the get-go, I was immediately captivated by this couple. When Jami announced they would have a full-length novel, I couldn't have been happier!
Cooper and Izzy are both passionate people. It's difficult for Cooper to accept Izzy's job as a party crasher because seeing her with other men does get him jealous. But with him crashing one of Izzy's parties, she get upsets and doesn't want to see him anymore. Problem is, Cooper wants her back in his life.
Izzy has been supporting her sisters ever since she was young. She doesn't know any other way. Her parents abandoned her and her sisters and only come back every once and awhile just to ask for money. Learning to trust and count on someone is hard to come by for her, so when Cooper crashes the party she's paid to crash, she will not allow her business and her source of income to be in jeopardy. But what happens when Cooper needs her help? How can she deny the chemistry that they have?
Without giving too much away, an important part of Cooper and Izzy's relationship is when Cooper discovers his nephew, Riley. His storyline touched my heart, and it made me teary-eyed. Everything about "Crashing the Net" was great. This story was poignant and beautifully told! Jami absolutely wrote an amazing follow-up to Cooper and Izzy's love story!
NHL team captain Cooper Black and professional party crasher Izzy Maxwell are back in a follow-up of book 2, Crashing the Boards. Cooper struggles with jealousy over Izzy’s job. Plus, he is left to raise his teenaged nephew.
I loved this story. We learned so much more about Izzy and Cooper, making me further like both characters.
I really like Cooper. In book two, Cooper was against his team relocating to Seattle. It was assumed it was because he liked the life he established in Florida. We find out the real reason he is so against being in Seattle in this story. It is a very understandable motive that I would have never guessed.
I enjoyed how the relationship between Cooper, and his nephew Riley evolved throughout the novel. It’s a good thing Izzy was around to help out or Cooper would have been in big trouble.
I understood both Cooper’s and Izzy’s sides when it comes to the jealousy issue. Jami Davenport did a great job justifying both viewpoints.
I appreciate Jami Davenport writing style. There are tons of detail. The dialog is great. I love the humor. The plot is well done with many unexpected twists. Crashing the Net is a wonderful story. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

I was so excited when I got an ARC of this book because I could not wait to read it. I loved Izzy and Cooper in their first book and was upset when I realized they broke up in this one.
Cooper is jealous and overly protective and makes Izzy crazy so she calls it quits with him. He lets her stew for a while expecting to smooth it over but discovers that Izzy is serious about not letting him control her life. Then, he gets a big surprise in the form of his nephew Riley coming to live with him. Cooper uses this as an opportunity to reel Izzy back into his life and she lets him do it.
I find it interesting that Cooper is portrayed as the controlling, mistrusting individual in this book, when Izzy is pretty much the same. They both have things that happened in their pasts that made them act the way they do and because they won't share their history with each other, they can't deal with it. When they finally open up to each other and have their loved ones give them a dose of reality, they can finally be together.
I love this couple. They are hot, hot, hot together but they also bring out the worst in each other sometimes. Underneath, you can tell there is love but it's really deep sometimes. I enjoyed the sass they get from their loved ones and how everyone tries to push them back towards each other. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."
Once again Ms Davenport graces us with a fantastic sports romance. It is the third book in the series, and I would recommend that you read them in order to get the full picture, but this is a good book all on its own!
Cooper is a man who is being thrown for the loop time and time again, and he just doesn't know, or understand why he is reacting how he is. Izzy is just one of the factors that is blowing away his control, and she likes their chemistry no more than him. Great set up, lovely execution and delightful and dramatic twists make this a wonderful story. I can see this series being a huge hit as it follows the rest of the team. I do hope that we get plenty of updates on Cooper and his clan too.
Jami is melting up the ice with the newest addition to her hockey series. If you didn't know what to think when we last left Izzy and Cooper, sit back and enjoy the ride.
Izzy is a strong, independent woman who needs to control everything in not only her life, but also her sisters' lives too. She's practically raised them since her parents spent most of their time living their lacking music career.
Cooper is a man who isn't sticking around and wants to control everything in his life too. When a nephew he never knew about shows up on his door, he realizes that he's got to do something, and fast.
When Izzy steps in to help him out, the sparks, neither denied they had, fly again, and they have to decide if either of them can give up their control and can they make a relationship work when Cooper has one foot out the door of a place Izzy never has any intention of leaving.
I read a majority of this book while at work. When I was finished, I posted this to Jami:
"Damn you woman!!!! I am sitting at work. I just finished Crashing the Net, and I am struggling not to cry my eyes out.
Just proves what a wonderful storyteller you are. I finished it, and loved it. I think it is my favorite yet. And yes this post will wind up in my review too."
Do I need to say more? I keep telling you all how much I love the badasses who wind up with a heart of Gold.
I think what I really loved about this book, is that we have 3 main characters and we get to have each of their points of view. Reilly's life growing up was no better than Izzy or Cooper. I think they were the only two people who could really understand him and be there for him.
If you love sports romances, Jami Davenport is an author you shouldn't miss. In her newest book, Crashing the Net, she combines, sports, hot men, love and families guaranteed to tug at every emotion you have. Love her books and can't wait to see what comes next in the Hockey series.
Back in April 2014, Jami was part of Hockey Anthology that was giving all the proceeds to charity, and we met Cooper and Izzy in Crashing the Boards. Basically, it was a tease on how these two met. I was left waiting to see what happen between these two, because they kind of hit off with a bang. However, Cooper hated Seattle, and we were sure why. So, that intrigued me. Then we had to wait a little longer, because Evan had to have his story. Finally, the secrets and all the answers are reveal. YES!
All right, Cooper and Izzy's relationship wasn't the most stable relationship. I mean he's a tad bit jealous, overbearing, and needs to be in control, but he has good reason. You are wondering what reason would he have to be these things, because normally they lead to scary guys. True, but he has been burned by past relationships in general. I could forgive him with his need to control. On the same coin, Izzy is a bit of a control freak too. She needs to be control, because she has been hurt by family. Two control freaks are never a good thing, but they have so much chemistry between them that they could burn down a house. Anyway, the relationship falls apart early on, so how the heck are these two going to get back together. Fortunately, a nephew popped on his doorstep, and Cooper needs help from Izzy.
I enjoyed the dynamics of Crashing the Net, because there is a lot. There is the rocky relationship between Cooper and Izzy, because they are similar in a lot of ways. The shaky ground between Cooper and Riley (his nephew), because Riley's mother fed venom to him. A lot of trust issues throughout the story, and everyone trying to find the common ground. In a way Izzy is the one to bring them all together. I like how Cooper and Izzy slowly breakdown each others wall and build trust. I loved Riley's character, because he had seen so much in his life. Honestly, they all have seen a lot in there lives. At the beginning, I was wondering how Riley would fit into Cooper and Izzy's life. I wonder if Cooper would leave Seattle and the demons that haunt him and things that he had come to cherish. I was amazed on the magic that Jami had made to make everything to work out in the end. Let me say, that it was overwhelming that I was crying towards the end, because she got Cooper to see what was important in life. It's a bit gut wrenching, but it showed life was precious. Crashing the Net was pretty awesome. Yes, there is some hot and heavy scenes between Cooper and Izzy. Tender moments between Izzy and Riley. Overall, an amazing story.
Favorite Line: "I realize trusting someone enough to depend on them doesn't mean that I have to give up my independence. That trust is power in itself." Copy provided by author via Tasty Book Tours
There is nothing I love more than an alpha male- add a big bad professional hockey player and this book is the stuff those dreams are made of! We met Cooper & Izzy in the novella Crashing the Boards and while you don't HAVE to read it before Crashing the Net, I recommend it! It is great short read and really gets you invested in Cooper & Izzy's story. Crashing the Net starts off where Crashing the Boards ended. Cooper and Izzy are a couple and Izzy's party crashing business is growing, thanks to her luck with the Seattle Sockeyes, but things aren't completely sunshine and roses. Cooper isn't comfortable with her career. She's had enough of his alpha male possessiveness and the two part ways. Enter Cooper's nephew, the son of his estranged sister that he never knew existed. He needs someone to help him and he knows Izzy is the perfect person for the job even if he has to swallow some of his pride and ask for help.
To be honest, I didn't find Cooper that likable at first. He's hot- oh yes, and while I love a domineering hero, he came across as very self-centered. I grew to love him as the story progressed, as details from his past were revealed and the reason why he is the man he is became more clear. Izzy is the responsible one, she has taken care of her sisters, put their needs before her own, but now as they are starting to become more independent and she feels as if she is losing control of her life. Her past has taught her to to rely on herself. They say opposites attract, but I think in the case of Izzy and Cooper these two like-minded souls were on a crash course for each other from the very beginning. Izzy is the perfect match for Cooper, while he may thing he needs a docile submissive female, what he really needs is someone who isn't afraid to tell him exactly what she thinks. These two burn up the pages and I found myself holding my breath for their happily ever after!
Crashing the Net is a sexy fun story with a great plot twist and I enjoyed this book very much. I gave this book 5 Starts and it is a MUST read for fans of sports romance. In fact I suggest that you add the entire Seattle Sockeyes series to your must read list!
Note: I was given an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinons expressed here are my own.

Wow!!!! What a powerful ending to a very good story. I knew from the start of this book that it was going to be good, but didn't expect it to be so good, so hot or heart wrenching. Izzy & Cooper are both very strong, controlling & independent people who met at a party for the new hockey team Cooper plays for. Izzy's job is crashing parties & getting people up dancing & having a good time & Cooper doesn't like the fact that she has to flirt with other guys in her job. Having crashed one of Izzy's jobs & made a scene Cooper's actions end their young relationship as far as Izzy's concerned. But being thrown together by Cooper's boss for charity & the unexpected arrival of a nephew he knew nothing about or that he doesn't want to be responsible for keeps pulling them together. Second & third chances are given to see if they can resurrect their relationship which neither want to be permanent because neither is the type of person they could see themselves doing permanent with. But life has a way of throwing curves that show them that they are indeed the person each is meant to be with & nothing is more telling than Izzy's actions when a tragedy strikes Cooper's nephew & brings them to their senses. This book is by far my favorite one so far that I've read written by Jami Davenport & is a definite recommend to read.

You meet Cooper Black and Izzy Maxwell in Crashing the Boards. You see how they meet and how hot the chemistry is between them.
In Crashing the Net Cooper's stubborn, controlling, possessive side comes out. Izzy owns Professional Party Crashers, she has a job to do. She may have to get cozy with men while doing that job. The one and only time she crossed that line was with Cooper when she was hired to crash a Sockeye's party.
When Cooper almost causes her to lose a job by his possessive ways, she's done. She knows she can only depend on herself. Cooper knows he needs her in his life, especially when his teenage nephew, Riley, comes to stay with him. When he needs her the most will she be there? Can he curb his jealous ways to get the woman he loves?
Such a good series. I have enjoyed each of the books. I am glad Cooper and Izzy got a longer story line in this one, Crashing the Boards was good but such a tease into what their relationship would be like. Just when it was getting really good it was over. Crashing the Net finishes where it CtB left off.
I fell in love with Izzy and her sisters as soon as I met them. I hoped we would get more of the stories and Jami Davenport doesnt disappoint at all!
Cooper and Izzy are so alike in some areas. They both want to be in control of their lives at all times and neither knew how to let go. Enter Riley and both their lives get turned up side down. For me Riley is the hero of this story!
Jami wrote a perfectly wounded child who is mature beyond his years but still has that adolescent hope. I was thrilled to see Riley didnt do a 360 personality change, it was gradual and flowed the way you would expect.
Izzy learns she needs to let go and live her life and Riley helps! Its amazing when someone from the outside sees your life so clearly!
Cooper... Wow, poor Cooper, I wasnt really sure what to expect with him but Jami managed to put the poor man through the ringer. His personal growth and absolute emotional roller coaster was brilliantly written and I was so involved that I cried, I laughed, I cheered and OH did I hold my breath!
Oh dont forget the hot sex!
Amazing story and I am so excited to see where this journey takes everyone! There are so many people who I would love to see get a story, I am not sure who to beg for next!
The first part of Cooper and Izzy's story, Crashing the Boards, is how I fell in love with Jami Davenport! So I was beyond excited for the continuation of their story, and Jami didn't let me down!!! This book is fantastic, the perfect weekend read!
I love that Izzy and Cooper have serious issues - ones that normal relationships have. (Jami is pretty amazing at making these untouchable, bad boy athletes "real" and I love her for it!) Cooper has a dark moment in his past that he's reluctant to reveal, and you can't blame him. Reliving those memories has power. And Izzy has her own struggles, taking care of her family!
I love the dynamic between these two, and I love the addition of Coopers nephew Riley - that story line was so well plotted! (I almost was hoping for a YA Spin-Off of Riley - but I know that's wishful thinking!) None the less, Riley draws Cooper and Izzy together and I loved every moment of this story.
Jami has a way of digging into your emotions. She pulls you into the book and gets you so attached to these characters that at the end of her story? You're slowing down so the book doesn't have to end!
If you're a fan of Sports? Romance? Or both? You need to be reading Jami Davenport's books!!
Izzy Maxwell has had to be a responsible parent to her sisters since she was very young. She is doing everything she possibly can to give her sisters opportunities that she did not have. She owns her own business, professional party crashing. While on a job, she met hockey star Cooper Black. Coop is a party animal who's only responsibility is to play hockey. However, all of that changes in the blink of an eye when a teenage nephew that he did not even know existed, arrives on his doorstep. Can Coop open his heart to his nephew and provide him a stable home? Will Coop and Izzy be able to see through their differences and find their happily-ever-after?
Crashing the Net has it all - sweet storyline, steamy sex, angst and drama, and at its heart - a wonderful love story. I love Izzy for her willingness to do whatever it takes to provide for her sisters. I love Coop, although there were several times when he was acting like a Neanderthal that I wanted to smack him. I absolutely fell in love with his nephew Riley and wanted so badly for him to find a home that would be safe for him. I highly recommend Crashing the Net for anyone looking for a sweet, fun read that will leave you with warm feeling long after you finish reading.
ANOTHER AUTHOR WRITING SPORTS STORIES--THAT I LOVE!!!
Okay, I confess, I am in the midst of a Jamie Davenport binge reading session. I am not sure if this was the third or fourth book, but it was definitely the strongest one. I spent the last few pages alternating between blotting tears and blowing my nose. It has steamy sex scenes, but its strength, to me, is in its love scenes, scenes where the hero faces his own imperfections, his need for love, and where the heroine and her sisters interact in that way only sisters can (and believe me, I know sisters!). The book is part of a series, which is always nice. A series allows an author to change focus a tiny bit, to change point-of-view, and to add characters with impunity. It also allows for much deeper character development to be easily obtained, because layers can be added to different characters in different books. This series has some very deep characters in the players. I can't wait to read the next one. And it's on my Kindle, just waiting. Sorry, gotta go! My advice: get the books now. Spend the next however long it takes reading them. Write a review.
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
Cooper is the strong, brooding, control freak type. He thinks he knows what he wants. When he described the type of woman that he wants all I could do was laugh and shake my head - silly boy.
Izzy is strong, independent and a bit of a mother hen who is always looking after everyone else. She is strongly attracted to Cooper but thinks that falling in love means giving up her independence.
I enjoyed Izzy and Cooper's story. With Izzy's need for independence and Cooper's need to control, they clash repeatedly and it is very entertaining. I love that Izzy doesn't let Cooper get away with anything and as a result we really see Cooper grow by the end of the story.
Ms Davenport has produced another strong sports romance with Crashing the Net. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
The story of Cooper and Izzy is a charming romance with a twist. Although the central story is about the romance between a hockey player and a party crasher, there's a lovely subplot interweaved that really pulls on the heartstrings. The plot is well paced and it has likeable, strong characters that have real development. Jami Davenport always delivers hot alpha men, particularly when she's writing sports stars, and her female characters are always well thought out and have great strength and personality. All in all, another fab read from one of my favourite authors that I can thoroughly recommend.
This was definitely more about Cooper, Izzie and Riley's relationship than it is about hockey. Cooper has his reasons for his jealousy and trust issues, Izzie for her independent and controlling nature, and Riley for his insecurities. It's not easy for any of them to adjust to their current living situation, but they begin to form a bond that is cemented when tragedy strikes. An enjoyable read that can be read as a standalone, but it a continuation of the novella Crashing the Boards. Looking forward to the next book in the series - there are plenty of men in the series that need their own special someone.
Although I really enjoyed this book overall, I felt like the beginning story for Cooper and Izzy was a little rushed. Cooper is still sulking about his NHL team moving to Seattle. He meets Izzy at a team function and sparks fly. Cooper has major trust issues in regards to Izzy's job as a party crashes. As their romance hits ups and downs, they are building a friendship. Cooper has family issues and Izzy already with her own family issues, is a rock for Cooper. Through adversity and a life changing event Cooper realizes his life is exactly what it should be when he opens his heart! I really enjoyed their story and am excited to start the next book in the series!
