Young Lillian Heart is left broken after the death of her mother. Sent to live with a father she barely knows. Read as she meets new friends and forms new family on the road to healing. But all is not as it seems in this small town her mother grew up in. Turns out she is a lot more like her mother, than she even dreamed of.
I think you are a little broke, but I think you will over come it. I just sat their not quite understanding what he was saying. “Lily we will take this slow, get to know each other, but you are mine, and I am yours. He said softly taking my face in his hands and looking at me with softened eyes, “Do you understand?
Mandy could live anywhere, but will always be a Texan by heart. She is a wife to a wonderful husband and mom to three mischievous boys. She worships books, drinks too much Dr. Pepper, and would eat fajitas everyday. Her family puts up with the day and night writing when she gets into a kick (even when she is lost in the clouds, and they call her name five times), and she loves them all the more for it. She has had stories in her head since she was a kid, and used to fail classes because she would write, lost in her own head, rather than do homework. She loves spending time outdoors with her family, eating her husbands burgers. She spends her time reading, or putting to life the characters taking life in her mind.
Left broken after the dead of her mother Lilian Heart is of to a little town to live with her father. Lily is not that brave, her mother moved around a lot leaving Lily with only one hobby, swimming, and the posibility to learn. At her first diner with her father someone is telling her father to explain something to her. What does her father have to explain? After she heats up (again) she runs into the garden to cool down where she meets Zach. What kind of connection do they have?
Great paranormal novel combining love, werewolfs and mystery. They say you can read this book from 11 but I think 13 would be a better age and than uptill 88 years. 😀❤️😀🌸
I wanted to read this and it seemed ok storyline, however there are so many mistakes, that it makes it unreadable. They are not spelling mistakes, but just badly written sentences that are missing words, etc. I ignored the first few, but got fed up after they kept appearing. This really needed someone to proof read it before it was published.
The Beginning is a YA paranormal romance. A werewolf paranormal, if you'd like me to be specific. Now I've read my fair share of werewolf shifter books and/or series and let me point out that this book wasn't completely terrible. It had a really nice plot and could have been super unique. BUT it had so many editing issues.
So I read a lot of books from my Kindle due to my Kindle Unlimited account and lately a lot of the books I've been recommended or have read have had soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many freaking errors. I have no idea if the actual book has these horrible editing issues but on my Kindle it does and it's beyond frustrating to read then.
Other than that, I did like the two main characters and what was written from their perspective. I just wished we got a little bit more information. Whether it was more background or anything else moving forward. I just feel like a lot was left out.
Also this book could have been way better if there was some proofreading.
Lily moves in with her father on the upper East coast after her mother dies in a house fire in TX. Lily shows up from a swim meet to hear her mother screaming from inside the house and the fire dept is unable to get her out. Lily hasn't seen her father since she was a child. Her father is a doctor who knows the truth about Lily and her mother. Because he knows she is wolf also he will not form a relationship with her and cannot look at her or her mother in any other way than they are monsters. Lily is a minor and moves in with her dad. He tries to act like everything is normal until she is brough into the club where she meets the future alpha and also her mate. As she learns about her wolf side her dad becomes more withdrawn. In all honesty, he was withdrawn from the get-go. She spent her 1st night at his house alone and he didn't even see her off to her 1st day at a new school or take her shopping for clothing and necessities. he did furnish her room but that was it. Everything she owned was burned in the house fire. Toss is a school bully female who also previously dated the alpha of the pack and a jerk wanna be alpha male who seems to hate everyone and one loyal but human best friend and you have a typical YA shifter book. Good story though and mostly well written. Several typos throughout and some sentences that simply didn't make sense because they probably should have been edited out.
Pretty much the only downside is the looming need for proofreading. The story, writing style, voices, etcetera are good. The myriad of typos and word errors are bad enough to really detract from the reading experience. Let someone work on an editable PDF? And then pass it on to at least one more person. Not the worst I've seen, but published work really should meet a professional standard. I'd have to down rate all the books so I'm just doing the one review.
A sweet story. The traditional wolf shifter mating memes are altered just enough to make the story truly age appropriate for the entire young adult age range, maybe even older adolescents. Nice touch.
Something about this series (perhaps the focussed love of the alpha male) reminded me of one of my all time Kindle Unlimited favorites: THE CHRONICLES OF ICHTHEMA by V. St.Clair.
Great start to what I believe is going to be one of my favorite series. It has has some errors but what ebook doesn't? (proof reading isn't what it used to be) This is a good book for teens, yet still pulled this "old woman" who is a long time reader of the paranormal in. It's a refreshing change of pace from most paranormal books, with no cursing or graphic sex. If you want to read a shifter book that tells a story, has a little romance, some conflict, mystery and secrets that make you long for the next book (But doesn't leave you hanging on a cliff). This is a must read! You will be pleasantly surprised by how quickly you are pulled into the lives of the main characters. Which is why you'll want to find out what happens next😁 I highly recommend this book for all ages!
The writing is atrocious. Spelling and grammar errors in literally every paragraph. The storyline already sucked and the characters/interactions were far from realistic.
I usually stick it out through bad books, just to give them a chance. But all the errors were painful to read though and there was no saving this one.
Wonderful YA paranormal romance. See Lilly's find out who and what she truly is. The friendships she forms and the unbreakable bond she finds where she least expected. I can't wait to find out more about Lilly and her friends!!!
Love this story and all the characters except a few! Lol and it sounds by the second and third it's gonna get even better, no hot love tho :-( but that's alright, I liked it anyway
Short sentences. Not a complex plot. I was kinda disappointed. There were a lot of typos like some reviews said but I was more distracted by the low writing level and plot.
The characters are so likeable and the story grabs you from page 1. There are a couple of errors innit that I had to reread the sentence. Even with errors this is a 5 star read. Now i am onto book 2!
This was a sweet YA paranormal romance. I loved lily’s vulnerability. And Zack…smokin hot. Sue and Caleb were a little over the top. Her dad I want to throat punch. Loved this one.
I very much enjoyed ready this book. Fix the grammar and it would have been five stars. I liked the relationship between the two. Very much different but so much love.
This needs proofreading/editing badly. The storyline is ok, although it’s a little discombobulated. The book reads as very juvenile. Especially since there is so much instalove going on.
It reminded me of the shifter books from years ago, before shifter books became dark. It was a beautiful love story. I can't wait to find out where life takes Lily and Zach
