1.5. I understand that this is a debut novel and if the author reads the reviews that us readers leave her I hope she takes note of what we say. Firstly I liked the premise of the story, however, it lacked good execution. I wasn't confused by the time line of events like some readers have mentioned. It was clear to me that the brother died, then the mother left and then her boyfriend of a few years attacked her and went to prison. After 5 years she meets Gavin and the attraction between them is strong and their relationship develops quickly. She makes him aware of her issues/past and he still wants to be with her despite her thinking he wouldn't. The problems I have with this book are:- 1) There are some editing issues that need to be addressed and the writing style was quite juvenile. 2) There are far too many repetitive sex/bedroom scenes, removing these would reduce the book by a good quarter. 3) There is a lot of pointless dialogue where the author has just waffled on about nothing, removing this would reduce the book by another quarter. 4) It was far too sappy and sickly sweet, I'm not against instalove or romance but this was too much. 5) Gavin's ex girlfriend reappearing on the scene was a real red herring, what was the point of her? 6) The crux of the story was Aria's ex coming back for her but it took far too long to reach that point and when it did it was very much an anticlimax. I hope the author improves her work in the future but based on this book I think it'll be a while before I'm tempted to read her books again.

yeah... just couldn't. DNF at around 15%
____________________________

I tried to get into this book, but I just couldn't. The writing was repetitive, way too descriptive, and just not my cup of tea. The instant attraction that happened is something I cannot deal with. And the beginning of the story just didn't make sense to me.

Someone who had gimme through what Aria did, I just couldn't understand her reaction and trust in a person she had just met. She was also the epitome of broken girl... What hadn't had happened to her?

I'm sorry to say that I couldn't make it past 15%...

I finished Finding Beautiful earlier today and just have to say aahh...Gavin Thomas is wonderful! He's perfect, gorgeous, rich, compassionate, so loving, and just a great boyfriend. The love he has for Aria is so sweet and heart-warming. Aria has been through so much with her abusive ex that you can't help but want her to have a happy ending. The attraction between her and Gavin was immediate and at times a little like a fairytale. She's a ballerina and he knows the moment he sees her that she's the one. I know this doesn't happen often, but it did for them. They do go through their ups and downs though. This book has sweetness, steaminess, violence, a tear-jerker past, and a truly heart-warming story for Gavin and Aria!

5 Star debut novel!!!

The story between these 2 characters is absolutely amazing.
The author described the emotions so perfectly I was able to literally feel the same thing the characters were feeling. I was also able to relate to the characters on a personal level as well.
Tissues were required while reading. I finished this book in 2 settings and didn't want to put it down the first time at all.
This book had a perfect balance of loss and gain. Love and heartache. I can't wait to see what the author has in store for the rest of the series.

Voluntarily read and reviewed this book for my honest opinion.

Would make one hell of a porno with the amount of detailed "lovemaking" mentioned in the novel.
The main female character is not as strong and independent as the main male character. The novel just simply describes women as fragile people who'd only be great at being housewives, the only thing that kept me reading is the fact that she was a dancer who didn't let go of her career, until the ending shocked me with her letting go of that dream to be a ballet teacher for little girls while he remains the head of his work and become even more successful. eff that esh.
I may have read worse, but i have definitely read better novels.
Hope the author could embrace Feminism a bit more.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD!

If I could give this book zero stars, I would for that reason alone. I’m not always displeased with insta-love stories, and when they’re written well I’m even more impressed and eager to root for the relationship. However, it’s just incredibly alarming how the author has decided to portray the traits of “insta-love as huge red flag, warning signs for a scary abusive person much like the ex Aria was running away from.

Aria even is quoted to be having wary thoughts of him texting her and calling her constantly, but she immediately brushes it off when realizing it’s vecause he was being protective and was worried and cared.

Give me a break.

Here are some excerpts from the book and I will follow up with how worrisome they are:
Example 1:

“Doubt clouds my thoughts as I step toward him and see how clear his eyes are.
“I hope I’m not pulling you away from anything or
He gazes down at me almost comically and bites his lower lip to hide a smile.
“Do you really think I would’ve kissed you if I had anyone waiting on me?
I let out the breath I’d been holding, hearing the sincerity in his voice while he places his hands on either side of my face and presses a soft kiss to my forehead.
“Sorry, I whisper,

Why is this a red flag? Well they’ve only known each other for a few hours. They literally JUST MET and he is angry that she would assume that he could have plans with another girl or something related. He then leads Aria to feel guilty and ashamed for having those thoughts and let’s her APOLOGIZE.

This is so, so incredibly toxic and should have been a sign for Aria to have gotten the hell out of there, but at this point in time I would give her a break because it’s her first time meeting another guy after her near-death assault and years of abuse.

Example 2:

“What are you up to, beautiful?
“Just stretching before my dance session with Eli.
He’s silent for a moment, making me wonder what he’s thinking about.
“Eli? His voice hardens just a bit. I don’t understand why.
“Yeah, he’s my dance coach, Gavin.
“How long have you been working with him?
I gnaw at the inside of my cheek, unsure why he’s upset about this.
“A few years. You’re not jealous are you?
“No, I mean, not necessarily. Aria, I think we need to talk.
My heart just about stops at those words...

So why is this incredibly (and I mean INCREDIBLY) problematic to me? They’ve only been dating for a couple weeks at most so Gavin doesn’t have a “claim on Aria, this is also right before they become “exclusive. He doesn’t take any time to ask about who Eli is or anything he immediately makes assumptions and gets jealous, taking it out on Aria by becoming more tense and giving the good ole “we need to talk.

She is not property. She can work with, hang out with, and be friends with men who are not her lovers or family members!

Example 3:

“I need to protect you, Aria. I can’t live with the idea that he could find you again.

It’s sweet that you care about her, Gavin, but you guys are still at the BEGINNING STAGES and it is creepy as hell to be using such possessive and definitive language as “I need to ___ when it comes to another human being!

Example 4:

“Suddenly, Jaden bolts into the room, his phone pressed to his ear and his face looking surprisingly stressed. He usually looks so at ease, but now his eyebrows are drawn together and one hand is clenched into his black hair.
“She’s here. Yes. All right. Bye, Chase.
Who’s here? Who’s Chase? My worries disappear and are replaced with confusion.
“Your boyfriend is worried about you. You should really help a guy out, Aria.
Immediately I stand, worry seeping through my veins. Gavin? Why would he be—oh, no! My scalp prickles when I realize I turned off my phone.
“What are you talking about? I just had lunch with him.....

[......]

“I reach into my pocket, hastily turning on my iPhone. Once my home screen pops up, I dial Gavin’s cell and press it to my ear. I’m bordering between worry and nervousness.
“Aria! he answers, his voice laced with worry.
“It’s me, I whisper.
“Why did you turn your phone off? His voice is strung tight.
“It slipped my mind. I was just talking to Farah. Why were you so worried?
He exhales, obviously at war with something.
“You’re at Farah’s?
Ԩ.
“See you soon. Don’t leave.
“Gavin I can just meet you at home
A low chuckle of laughter omits from “him and it has no trace of humor in it. He must be really mad, I think to myself.
“Jaden told me where to find you, Aria. I’ll be there in a few minutes.
“O첹.
His voice has such a dominant bite to it that when he hangs up on me, I just stand there staring at my phone screen for a good two minutes. What the hell?
Farah comes back in and takes a hold of my shoulders, lifting my gaze to hers.
“What did he say?
“He’s on his way. I have no idea what’s going on with him.
She chuckles and pulls me into the kitchen with her.
“Welcome to the world of men and dating, sweetie!

Honestly... what the ever living hell?!?! How dare Aria tun off her phone?!!!!!! This is so territorial and creepy it’s not even a red flag here, it’s a blaring siren. And then the fact that Aria is uneasy at first but Farrah just excuses Gavin’s behavior as the “world of relationships is soooo scary and dangerous! Especially when she’s talking to her best friend who JUST got out of an incredibly abusive relationship months prior.

It’s like what the hell, everyone around Aria is wholeheartedly encouraging her to accept this incredibly controlling and abusive behavior from Gavin, while we as readers are also supposed to go along with it.

But if anyone knows anything about the warning signs of abuse then you would know that these are it!

Here are the in-depth, well written signs of the emotional abuse that is happening throughout this book, sourced from

ᱷշճ
Having really extreme feelings or over-the-top behavior that feels like too much. Examples are rushing the pace of a relationship, always wanting to see you and talk to you, and feeling like someone is obsessed with you. (The insta-love the shared together was not normal or healthy in the least. Not even by the typical ridiculous book standards that you’ll typically read. No this was reading “I love you six times every page, it felt like. Just... creepy and abnormal.)

“J
An emotion that everyone experiences, jealousy becomes unhealthy when someone lashes out or tries to control you because of it. Examples can be getting upset when you text or hang out with people your partner feels threatened by, accusing you of flirting or cheating, being possessive over you or even going so far as to stalk you. (The jealousy Gavin felt between Aria and her dance instructor and how he immediately asked for exclusivity after)

“Mʱձ
When a partner tries to influence your decisions, actions or emotions. Manipulation is not always easy to spot, but some examples are convincing you to do things you wouldn’t normally feel comfortable with, ignoring you until they get their way, and using gifts and apologies to influence your decisions or get back in your good graces. (Think to some of the sexual aspects of their relationship and also some of their social parts as well.)

᳧ձ
Keeping you away from friends, family, or other people. Examples can be when your partner makes you choose between them and your friends, insisting you spend all your time with them, making you question your own judgement of friends and family, and making you feel dependent on them for money, love or acceptance. (Aria constantly missing her sister’s wedding events and not talking to or seeing Farrah as much, etc.)

“Gձ
Making you feel guilty or responsible for your partner’s actions. Examples can be making you feel responsible for their happiness, making you feel like everything is your fault, threatening to hurt themselves or others if you don’t do as they say or stay with them, pressuring you to do anything sexual you’re not comfortable with. (Gavin is only happy when Aria is with him. She HAD to move in with him right when he asked, or else she didn’t love him enough. When she needed the first break due to the Jas he was heartbroken and destroyed and was constantly calling her, then went to her house; the second break he became a shell of his former self until Aria returned to him; stuff like that)

“DEFLECTING RESPONSIBILITY
Making excuses for their behavior. Examples can be blaming you, other people or past experiences for their actions, using alcohol or drugs as an excuse, using mental health issues or past experiences (like a cheating ex or divorced parents) as a reason for unhealthy behavior. (The controlling behavior and intrusiveness Gavin displays is chalked up to him wanting to “protect Aria and him “looking out for her; blaming the kiss from his ex on the ex being upset; etc)

“Bո鴡۴
When your partner acts differently with you versus how they act when you’re not around. Examples can be lying to you, purposely leaving you out or not telling you things, being two-faced, acting differently around friends, or cheating while in a relationship with you. (The one kiss and then the unexpected bouts of possessive anger that would surprise Aria but then be forgotten about seconds later)

The author was clearly trying to go for the alpha male trope but she ends up failing miserably, and quite dangerously. If anyone has recognized or seen their relationships reflected in this book then I highly recommend/hope you all to either take a moment to see if you’re in a safe place, find a safe place, and/or reach out for help.

To anyone who has gone through any abuse: You are not alone and it was not your fault. You are not your past. I believe in you and I am so proud of you for standing here today.

I have received this book in exchange for an honest review.
Amanda Kaitlyn is a new author for me, but I do enjoy New adult romances so I was willing to give this book a try.
I'm glad I did it because the book is sweet, sometimes a little dramatic, and romantic.
I really liked the characters in this book, especially Gavin and thought the plot developed at a nice pace.
The book deals with a topic that not always easy to broach, but I think the author did a good job.
This is a great book for hopeless romantics and readers who enjoy a sweet romance every now and then.

This was an amazing read. I loved the story. I felt so bad for Aria and what she went through before meeting Gavin. Gavin is the perfect book boyfriend. He may be a CEO of a big family technology corporation, but this man has a heart of gold. He listens to Aria, and still loves her even when she feels like she is unworthy of love. Their passion and love is a insta-love story. However, I loved the way the author wrote the book. I thought it was fantastic. I can't wait to read books 2 and 3. Overall, an incredible read.

Aria didn't expect to find love and wasn't exactly expecting it when she bumped into Gavin after her show.

After a tough past with her ex, Aria finds out Gavin is nothing like her ex,he's more. He's charming, sexy and a millionaire, but he doesn't flaunt it. However can their love survive their pasts that might come to harm their future. Will the pair get their happily ever after.

This book is set to test your emotions in what was a great debut novel by this author.

I received this book in return for my honest opinion.

The feelings gushed through me reading this book. Amanda did a fantastic job capturing the characters and making them so real to me. I had a hard time putting this one down, because of the story line, the twists it took, I found my self holding my breath waiting to see how it would turn out. This author is new to me, and I am glad I found her, I am looking forward to finishing this series of books and meeting all of the upcoming characters. If you are looking for a gut wrenching love story, maybe this one is the one you are looking for.

I loved this book. It was a beautiful story about love at first sight. It's hot and passionate from the start. Shows a love that conquers all and helps heal from the past. A protective alpha male who show his love for her over and over again. Even when the past and current life tries to tear them apart they overcome and grow stronger. It's a beautiful story about how love can truly be beautiful in all ways.

It was a good read. However, I tend to be detail oriented and the discrepancies drove me bonkers. They nagged at me and chipped away at my happy diversion. Generally, I can overlook them but this book has quite a few. If they don't bother you, go for it.

Be aware that one of the biggest issues is the story's timeline is very off.

Wow! Poor Aria. This girl has been through so much tragedy and horror in her life. The one thing that she has always loved and that has always taken away the pain is ballet. She loves dancing. It is her life and her dream. After something terrible happens with her last boyfriend, she uses dance to take away the pain. Then she meets Gavin. Gavin sees her and wants her, wants to protect her. Gavin was a little hard to swallow. He’s rich, a CEO and has no trouble with the ladies. Suddenly, he’s interested in a broken girl? Hmm, maybe, but I kind thought he was a little smarmy.

So, a little hint. This is insta-love at its finest. I know a lot of readers don’t like insta-love and I get it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I’m not sure it was believable enough for me in this book. I mean, she suffered a lot only four months before meeting Gavin. Maybe it’s my pragmatic brain, but after what she went through (and I’m not telling you what it is, because I. Don’t. Spoil) four months seems like too short a time to get over that kind of thing. But, I did love Gavin and Aria together. Seriously, they were kind of awesome once I got over my initial reaction to Gavin (see above).

The book does end on a happily-ever-after, but if you loved Aria and Gavin, then you can read more about them in the next book.

Can you ever believe again? Aria has just been given a shot that every dancer dreams of and she has met someone as well but she is still so afraid. Can she give this guy a chance or will she do nothing? Gavin likes what he sees there is something about her that he needs. But can he break down those walls? The nightmares have started to get worse and Gavin wants to know what is going on but Aria knows that once he finds out what happened to her he will walk away.
Gavin will do anything to keep her safe and he can't understand why she thinks that he would blame her for the attack.
But their happiness is about to come to a stop, her ex is back and this time there is no way that he will give her up. Aria can't live through anything attack it would kill her but can Gavin find her before it is too late?
A good read.

Finding Beautiful is the first book in the (Trinity Series ) by Amanda Kaitlyn ,and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet story. Amanda Kaitlyn has given us a story filled with honest true love, really hot steamy love scenes and with heartache and drama , and the emotional up and downs that come with it all. The heroine of this story is the sweet and beautiful Aria , and over this last year has be quite difficult for her .First was the lost of her darling brother and her boyfriend. She's upset over one ,but is relieved with the other . Aria thought she had everyone she needed in her life with Bryce ,but then it ended when Bryce started hitting her. But every morning he was always regretful about what he did to poor Aria's. Deep down she really felt he was sorry for what he did ,until one frightening night he went to far , and if it wasn't for her father finding her . She had to be hospitalized with more then just bruises,,there was many more issues .The one good thing that came from that night was Bryce was put in jail ,and sweet Aria took out a restraining order on him. And then there the hot and sexy Gavin ,who she meets at an dance audition ,and just one look and she's captivated by him instantly . Gavin ,who is a billionaire and also a business owner see's the most beautiful dancer on the stage and is totally amazed by her. And then it happens he accidentally runs into her after the audition and he is so excited and just can't believe his eyes. Her sister invites him to a party and of course he says yes ,because all he wants is to spent time with her. But will Aria give this gorgeous man a chance he wants ? Or she be scared to let him in and will Bryce come after her later ? I could tell you more about this story but that would spoil it for you .I highly recommend that you read this amazing story, you won't be disappointed.

Great story. Love wins in the end

Aria, dancing is her life. It’s what she uses to remove Bryce, her abusive ex-boyfriend, from her mind. She meets Gavin Thomas. Owing out of a dance audition. It’s love at first sight. Healing Aria from nightmares and anything Bryce, is Gavin`s first thought. Gavin means safety to Aria. Somehow, Bryce finds her and is sending harassing notes. He even has taken to bugging Gavin`s penthouse, and following her. Gavin`s love saves her.

Slow, repetitive and with faults. I did not like it. I need almost a month to read 250 pages because is so boring! Both main character are super-mega-perfect: he is a millioner, handsome, comprensive guy. She is intelligent, beautiful, with a perfect body. They made a problem where there is nothing to be worry. The full history and character are very irrealistic.

Could be better

Wanted to like it, I really did but it just wasn’t great. Way too much repeat, way too mushy (there had to be a record number of times I love you was said per chapter, sometimes per page). And what was with the ex showing up for a few pages and then it didn’t go anywhere else.

Eh

Just not my type of story. Main characters met and within 3 hours had fallen in love and spilled all of their deep dark secrets to each other. Some minor back stories with no real development. If the words "beautiful" and "baby" annoy you, well be prepared because they show up close to 350 times in this book. Way too sappy for me.

It was good until it wasn't!

Loved it until until Aria ruined it for me! Gavin deserved better than that from her. After that...I didn't really care what happened to her. Gavin was hurting too but he still took care of and thought about Aria's feelings.

Has potential

The overall story line was good but definitely has room for improvement. Some parts were long and drawn out too much. Also, all the talk about love and looking into each others eyes was overkill.

A little too much

It wasn’t over done with outrageous sex or anything like that. This book consists of a very loving story just a little too much of a loving story and there is so much extra written in just to make it longer and it just drags on and on and on. Not my cup of tea

Read it

I'm not into spoiling books. This was a lovely book, minus some editing problems, that completes the whole story and doesn't leave you feeling as if the author should have/could have written more. I don't believe you'll regret the read at all. Very touching.
