I have turned the last page and my heart is still pounding a little. But also I am smiling. What a delightful story that ends with the last daughter. Sir Sterling James has reached his goal of marrying off three of the four Duke of Roxburgh’s daughters. Now he will marry Lady Chastity’s which was his ultimate goal all along. Unfortunately Chastity has rebelled the entire time not wanting to acquiesce and lose her freedom. I mean Stirling only wants to eventually gain the title of Duke when her father passes away, right? Several surprises and twist and turns still await before Chastity makes it to the alter! This really should be read as part of the series but you will be glad you did!!!

Throughout The Marriage Maker series Stirling has managed to find the perfect husband for all of Chastity’s younger sisters. Men who compliment the young lady’s personalities, men who will be true and loving to them for life. Now it’s time for Chastity to meet the terms of their agreement or challenge � to marry Sir Stirling James. except she still wants no part of marriage or this man, and continues to defy him and her father � and perhaps herself as well.
I had hoped that by the time Chastity’s story came around that she would have done some softening � and that I could come to like her a bit more. Unfortunately, neither of those things happened. The lengths that she will go to in order to avoid this marriage are� astounding. She fights her own chance at happiness at every step. And I finally gave up on her. She has an amazing man in Stirling, a man who will do just abut anything to show her his love and devotion. While she does come around in the ending to care for him, for me it was too little too late. There is stubborn for a reason and there is mule headed in order to get one’s own way. I believe you can figure out which one I consider Chastity to be.
That’s not to say that I didn’t enjoy Stirling and Chastity’s story. I did, in fact, enjoy it very much. We get answers to questions from the entire series, we catch up with each sister and see how their lives have changed in such a short time with their husbands. The story is entertaining and puts a solid ending to this series � with the hint of more of Sir Stirling’s matchmaking in the future. As for Chastity � well, I couldn’t like the character overly much, but I did enjoy the adventure of this series.
I’d recommend this series for any Regency Romance reader. Fun, charming, with wit and banter � you will find yourself entertained.

Take a post-modern woman, dress her up in historical clothing, and hurl her into the past, with all the culture-shock and jarring mindset that would be inherent in that, and you have Chastity.
I have not liked this character since she threw a cup at her father.
Every book has gone on about how like their mother they are, as if they sprung from her as fully-formed persons, like Athena from Zeus (the authors having gone so far as to actually state something similar). Yet, their father is stubborn, determined, and dedicated to getting the job done -- a personality that indicates that much of their traits stem from him. However, until the last couple books of the series, there has only been a slight hint of any deep relationship between he and his daughters. I see so many reviewers castigating the father, but not considering what kind of existence he has had for the last 8 years, without the love of his life, dealing with an eldest child who clearly despises him (God knows why, as the reader never discovers this), and has raised her sisters to follow suit. Yet he has not lifted a damn finger to them, and has given Chastity enough leeway that she imagines she can just breeze through the rest of her life with no responsibilities or obligation to the family, estates, tenants, or title. (I get that she considered her sisters her responsibility, but to insanely think you can just keep them beside you? Come on!) When the reality of what he has allowed in his home sets in, he remedies it -- and the audience balks about coercion? Boo-hoo. Like it or not, the reality would've been that you marry who dad says, or you get beaten and tossed out on your ear; have a nice life. He's actually trying to do everything he can to get Chastity to the right guy and she blinkeredly thrashes against it.
I cannot count how many times I fantasized this as a Renee Rose story, so I could get the satisfaction of the mental image of Chastity getting a damn good spanking. She is far too entitled and spoiled to deserve Stirling, and she goes to great lengths to prove it in this last installment. But having come this far, the authors had to deliver, so they whip out (pardon the pun) the old "sexy times soothe the savage bitch" trope. What I fail to understand is why they didn't make more use of the foiled elopement in her history! If a spirited girl runs off with a scoundrel she thinks she loves, only to return home "ruined" and a social pariah, I can understand it fomenting more than a little resentment and bitterness. But they avoided that trope entirely and thus any solid basis for Chastity's asinine behavior and attitude. She's literally skated through her life without dealing with any consequences of her own actions!
Yeah, I get it, she's a controlling personality and doesn't want anything to challenge that. There's that modern gal again, poking her nose in! A woman who wanted power in that era would've wielded her charms and social standing like a sword to get what she wanted, and ruled her household with discipline or at least some semblance of self-control. Chastity is a spoiled child, grown too big for her pantaloons!
I'm glad there were only 4 daughters, as I couldn't have hung on to the end, if there'd been more! I wish they had devoted time to the series, showing Chastity coming to some self-realization about her mommy issues, and maybe either brought back her lover from the past, or introduced a potential rival to stoke her jealousy. There could have been some kind of meeting of the minds between she and Stirling, but I am expecting far too much from a novella, and waaaaay too much from this series.
Marshmallow fluff series ended, and now I have the urge to find a toothbrush!

Book 4 of the Marriage Maker series was, finally, about 24-year-old Lady Chastity Hamilton, the eldest daughter, and heir of the Duke of Roxburgh and Sir Sterling James. In Book 1, Lady Chastity's father had told her that, if she didn't find a groom within 2 months' time, he would force her to marry a man 25 years her senior. With that being said, she in turn made a deal with the Duke that, if a man who wished to wed her, could find respectable men to wed her sisters, then she would marry him. Sir James was the man who took up the challenge. He managed to find three well-respected men to marry each of Lady Chastity's sisters and all were married before the end of the first month. Once they were married, it was then Chastity's turn to wed Sir James.
The Duke of Roxburgh was an absolutely hateful man. I wanted to pummel him from the first book to the end of this book. The way he treated his daughters, especially Chastity, was atrocious and it would have served him well if she had told him she would never speak to or see him ever again.
I'm not so certain I liked the outcome of this book. I detested both the Duke and Sir James from the beginning of the series. They were both detestable, controlling men and that never changed. I don't think I ever got to like either of them. These two characters, for me at least, were so bad that I wonder if I will continue with the series. We'll see. However, that being said, this book definitely did not get the Keeper for the Shelves award.

Lady Chastity Hamilton is the the eldest daughter of the Duke of Roxburgh and the most stubborn as well as most determined to be a spinster of the 4 sisters. She is the Marriage Maker's 4th and final challenge for she was the one who made the condition that if her father could find husbands for all her sisters within a month, she would marry (safe with the thought that such would be a herculean or maybe impossible task). She was wrong. The Duke found Sir Stirling James, a man with the uncanny ability to succeed in all areas of endeavor he chooses to involve himself with. And this time, he chose to marry the eldest daughter of a Duke and so he became a matchmaker for all her sisters for which the sisters dubbed him as "The Marriage Maker" for he found matching husbands for all Chastity's 3 now happily married sisters. Now it is her turn to marry so this is about Chastity's efforts to discourage the marriage as she matches wits with a devious man with a perfectly heart~warming goal in mind and it does not involve the dukedom of Roxburgh.
P.S. ~ Chastity made a deal and when all her 3 conditions were met (successfully and satisfactorily), she wants to renege on her promise? Not sporting of her plus employing dirty tricks just to weasel her way out of it. Not fair. But wait, since this is a romance then all is fair in Love and War etc... etc... etc...

Steamy;marriage consummation in an entertaining taming; Sir Stirling has to outwit Chastity to obtain the wedding. He has already gotten Lucy, Olivia, and Jessica married. But Chastity is uncertain and unconvinced that he wants her. Their wedding is quite unconventional and shall be memorable. He makes his desire for her evident up to the hilt. Then she knows. In a followup there is more than one wife expecting.

A slight disappointment
didn't take me long to read these books! I was kind of hoping that they'd explain why the girl's father went along with sir Stirling and why Stirling did it . I would read more books by these authors the only thing is the girls fell like trees in the woods not that much resist!

To get out of a unwanted marriage you must only have it tarnish a reputation. If you don't want your own ruined, ruin the other parties. Since men are less affected by a bad reputation, tarnish his. Good Story!
Well finally Chastity found her match. She and Stirling were perfect for each other. I’m just a sucker for wanting more of their stories. The sisters were very good. I just loved the characters and the storyline so much. And for the Duke to find love again! On to the next Story with the Marriage Maker Series, All in one Huge Volume. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜�

Fun
I enjoy this author. I highly recommend her highlander books. That aside, I read the four match maker books this weekend and loved them. A clean style that always sucks me in, pleases the heart and leaves the head thinking days after about the oddest things.

Better
This one was more engaging than the others, thanks to a more spirited couple. I have forgotten to say in all the other books reviews, but their father is an absolute jerk. His threatening them in the way he constantly did was not in any way loving.

I randomly read this, because I like the cover. I mean, look at it.
Even though I hadn't read the first three, the story made sense. Honestly, I wish there had been one more "bedroom scene" between them, after confessing their love.

Disappointing
The series has been building up to this. Yet, no word in any of the books as to how he fell in love. Supposedly that's why he's been pursuing her, but we don't get any backstory. Just, he saw her portrait, he was in love, that's it. How underwhelming.
