Claiming Felicity

Rate this book
Falling in love could expose a woman in hiding, in the fourth Ace Security novel from New York Times bestselling author Susan Stoker.

Former mercenary Ryder Sinclair’s stunning discovery that he has three half brothers in Castle Rock, Colorado, is giving them all the chance to color in the spaces of their tragic pasts. For Ryder, establishing roots is made all the more desirable by Felicity Jones. But if Ryder’s instincts are correct, this breathtaking beauty is in trouble.

Castle Rock isn’t Felicity’s home. Like her false identity, it’s just a cover. All she wants is enough cash to keep moving to another temporary hideaway—to stay on the run from a secret that’s haunted her for years. As safe as Ryder’s strong embrace makes her feel, she fears that falling for him, and staying in Colorado, will put everyone she’s come to love in danger.

The more Ryder learns about Felicity, the more determined he is not to let her go. It’s time for her to stop running—even as a relentless danger closes in, threatening their love and their lives.

Felicity Jones is the strong BFF of Grace, she has been in Castle Rock for about five years. No one has questioned her about her past or her family. She seems to have her life in order until the day she wants the part of the money she gave Cole to help them start the gym. Why doesn't everyone start to question her why she wants to leave? She doesn't want to tell them secret, she just needs to run before "HE" gets to close to her.
Ryder Sinclair comes to Castle Rock to get to know his 1/2 brothers. When he goes with his brothers to see what is going on with Felicity, he immediately knows she is running from someone. He wants to protect her or he will die trying. He wants her to tell him why she wants/needs to run but he will not rush her to tell him. Ryder is beginning to have feelings for her that he has never felt before. He knows that he has to tell her about his past and maybe she will tell him what is going on with her.
Can Felicity trust Ryder to protect her and keep her friends safe? Will Ryder be able to keep her safe and let his brothers know he is there to help them keep everyone safe? In the end, will the Anderson triplets accept Ryder as their brother?
I love this series and I think Felicity and Ryder might be my favorite.

Claiming Felicity is the fourth book in the Ace Security Series. This series is full of action, suspense, and passion and although I highly recommend reading the entire series, each book can be read as a stand-alone. Felicity is part of the Ace Security Family and yet, she has a big secret. She has been on the run from a dangerous man. Felicity thought she was safe but when her past collides with her future, she is ready to run again. Ryder Sinclair rolls into town to meet his half-brothers and is immediately drawn to Felicity. He recognizes her need for protection and as they grow closer together, he will stop at nothing to make her his. Felicity is hesitant at first but who can possibly deny the affections of a hot alpha male like Ryder?

Overall, Claiming Felicity is another Stoker winner. I discovered her work this past summer and like all good things, I just keep coming back for more. Claiming Felicity will appeal to readers who enjoy action, suspense, and tender romance. The heroines are on the sweet side and the heroes are smoking hot and 100% alpha! Looking forward to more Stoker goodness to come!

Wow, that ending though.

Okay I loved this series and getting to know all of the characters. Well, everyone but grace's parents because they sucked major ass. Also, her mom totally got what she deserved form my girl named karma.

Other than that, I loved Ryder and Felicia being together. They were adorable and I probably would've been super pissed at this book if things didn't go a certain away. Like for instance, this crazy creeper stalker from her past. Yeah, he needed to go. Didn't expect that way he was going to go though but enjoyed it nonetheless. Then this book threw all kinds of twists and turns at me. I didn't like all of them but they kept this book a freaking page turner!

I couldn't put it down and just wanted to know what the hell was going to happen. In the end, everyone got what they deserved. I'm happy all of the brothers are living their happily ever after. I'm glad everything is still together. AND now I want some baby magic happening. Right now people! Chop chop!

I loved this series and I will definitely try to find another book by this author.

I had no idea Felicity was hiding so much. She’s been in books 1-3 and she seemed like such a strong character that was confident in everything she does. What a crazy story she’s been hiding. After a Ryder stepped in and helped her face her past, she truly became that strong woman I always thought she was.

I’ve read a few Mountain Mercenary books so I was pleasantly surprised to find out Ryder is one of them. He’s a super protective hero who always considered Felicity’s feelings and input before making decisions.

We get to see all the brothers and their heroines in this 4th book but it looks like this series isn’t over yet. I’m looking forward to book 5.

First of all, I would like to say how much more I enjoyed Claiming Felicity than Claiming Bailey. We didn't have any ungrateful people in this book and I liked that. The story was also able to hold my interest and I liked the characters (both secondary and main). It made me wonder how Ryder was able to see through Felicity's facade so fast while the people who were her friends didn't suspect a thing.

Felicity is a good heroine. She has managed to hide from the evil person who is chasing her for a long time and when he finds her in the town she lives she does everything she can to make sure that none of her friends will be in danger. Ryder's job is to keep her safe and find the bad guy before he finds them. The insta-love between the two characters helped Ryder's case because he is not willing to lose the woman he loves. I would have liked to see Ryder spend more time with his half brothers and see them bonding, but the book is focused on Ryder and Felicity.

In this novel, we were introduced to the Mountain Mercenaries who are Ryder's friends. I liked them and I want to read the series where they are going to be the main characters. They were very interesting. I would recommend this book and I would also recommend to check out the Mountain Mercenaries series when the first book is out.

There’s something very addictive and seductive about Susan Stoker’s various series of courageous and brave soldiers, their fight for justice and the fierce protectiveness of their loved ones.

“Claiming Felicity book four in the Ace Security Series is another exemplary work of Susan Stoker’s creative writing as she brings the surprising secretive half brother to the Anderson brothers, a twist to their family dynamics.

Ryan Sinclair comes to Castle Rock, CO, after the discovery of the half-brothers he never knew about. Wanting to know his newfound family, and leaving his mercenary life behind, Ryder is more than ready to plant roots and with Felicity Jones.

Feeling from a dangerous past, Castle Rock was supposed to be a temporary stop for Felicity Jones. But the Anderson family has tied her strong to family and friendship, and leaving was becoming a far fetched idea until the past catches up with her and lands her family and friends in danger.

But Ryder and the Anderson brothers will protect their own and will do anything to keep Felicity safe. With Ryder as her self appointed bodyguard and with sparks of attraction fanning between them, and passion igniting the sheets, Ryder will do anything to protect and keep Felicity in Castle Rock for a future with her.

“Claiming Felicity is another courageous story of a woman trying to defeat her past for a future with the man she loves. A wonderful story of family and friendship, support and care, brotherhood and kinship, Susan Stoker gives her readers another captivating thriller.

Susan Stoker is one fine writer that I was glad to have come upon and enjoyed reading her stories. From her Badge Of Honor Series, Delta Force Heroes Series to Seal Of Protection Series and now to Ace Security series, I’ve literally enjoyed every single one of her books. Protecting Caroline, Protecting Fiona and Protecting Alabama are my top favorites of her books that I’ve visited innumerable times…chicken soup for the soul!!!

***4 Stars***

I find myself in a bit of a conundrum here.
I enjoyed the book. I did. Susan Stoker is one of my fav authors, I love her writing, her characters and the attention to detail she gives to each book. My issue here isn’t due to any of those things, it’s more that I was more intrigued...fascinated...by the baddie than I was when it came to Ryder and Felicity’s journey *Hangs head and sighs*
I know it happens and it’s not a ‘off with your head issue or anything, but typically when one is reading a romance novel said reader SHOULD be all about the main couple and not the psycho crazy who is making their lives a living hell...but that’s what we have going on here. With that said

It is difficult to NOT fall in love with Ryder. He is all kinds of honorable, determined and honest, not only with himself, but with those around him. What I liked about him was that he walked into not one, but two situations that he had no idea how either would pan out, but took everything in stride and made it all work, one way or another. Felicity has thus far been the tough as nails woman with a heart of gold, but here we get to see behind the facade, and though she is tough ~ don’t ever doubt that, finding out why was heartbreaking and yet enlightening to finally see who she really was and have it reinforce what I’d already knew about her.

Their journey to their HEA is that weird combination of insta and slow burn. The insta really does happen instantly, but due to the circumstances things move slowly from that point and as they get to know each other it’s easy to see why they were drawn to one another. Ryder and Felicity were all kind of smexy, sweet and because each others shields, safe place to land and their greatest support system.

The baddie. It was hard to not find the guy fascinating. From his reason for going after Felicity in the first place and all that he did to get to her, it absolutely blew my mind. At one point I wanted to put him in a scientific study just to figure out where the wiring on the guy went haywire, that’s how cray cray he was and I fully admit that they tend to be the ones I gravitate towards.

It’s always easy to get lost in the books that the author writes and this one was no different. We do get to catch up with the Anderson triplets and their women, which was fun, but we also get to meet a whole new set of characters that will be getting their own little spin off series, and I for one cannot wait to get to know this crew better!

Ryder “Ace Sinclair is trying to come to terms with part of his past. Felicity Jones just met someone who’s given her hope. She also has secrets and she wants to keep them that way.

There are previous characters that make appearances throughout. So if you’re behind in reading this series or if this is your first foray into the world of Ace Security you may want to look into what you’ve missed. This could be considered a standalone but hopefully you’ll want to try and stay true to the series. It always surprises me in how creative the author is when creating her stories. You never read one of her stories and think that you’ve read it, or something similar, before. They all seem so original. We get plenty of action and how much you sink into the story you may even hold your breath. You have to wonder if she has a mean streak hidden somewhere. She just has a way in creating an evil character that seems so believable.

One thing I really love is that I have no trouble tuning out the rest of the world so I can get lost in Ms. Stoker’s world. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good ending but the worst part about an ending is that it means the story is over. Something I loved about the ending was getting caught up on some of the couples that have already had stories. Then the sad part comes around because I’ll have to wait for the next book to see if they make another appearance. Then you end up happy because it feels like there’s been a hint and then maybe I won’t have to wait too long to see what Ace Security will have in store for me next.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Once again Susan Stoker has kept me up way past my bedtime. Not complaining mind you, just a fact since I couldn't put this book down. Ever since we met Felicity I wanted her to find her happily ever after.

Felicity just wants her money and to leave town. There's a reason she doesn't have her name anywhere on the Gym with Cole. Now that reason is close again and she has to leave to protect her friends. Fortunately for her they aren't having any of it and the Sinclair brothers including Ryder are ready to step in to stop her from running.
Ryder immediately senses Felicity is in trouble and needs a way out of it. First she's going to have to trust him with the whole truth.

I couldn't stop reading, with every page you learn something new and terrifying about Felicity's stalker and what he's put her through for years. Now he's close again, sending her things and putting things in her apartment.

This book was scary on a number of levels but there was humor, love and damn does it get steamy. The close ties of the Sinclair family that expanded to include Ryder will bring a tear or two. As will that 'OMG No!' moment Susan is noted for.

We meet the Mountain Mercenaries in this book, as they help unravel the mystery of just who this Joseph Waters is. I look forward to seeing how they find their HEAs.

Ryder Sinclair is half brother of the Anderson triplets. But even though the Anderson brothers are not to be messed with Ryder is more deadly they they will e er be. I love Ryder. He is a complete badass.

Felicity Jones has been on the run for 10 years. She is settle and loves her life but she knows she is on borrowed time and soon she will have to move on to protect the ones she loves.

When Felicity finds a note from the person she has been running from she tries to get her money from her partner and get the he'll out of town but Cole is not having it. Cole loves Felicity and his best friend is not going anywhere.

Ryder makes his presence known to the brothers and they slowly get to know each other. The moment Ryder meets Felicity he knows he is needed even if she does not want it.

With Ryder by her side and the Anderson brothers backing her up she has decided to stay and fight for the life she has built.

Good story of someone whose outside is a front to their true self. Felicity is a tough chick but what you see is not always what you get. Ryder and Delete city's relationship was nice. The protection Ryder felt for her and all the woman and children he is sworn to protect is sweet and you love him automatically.

I loved most of it. But I found the ending a bit anti-climactic--I wanted the main characters to do more to save themselves.
But the image of the 4 Anderson brothers standing toe-to-toe like a Wild West showdown was droolworthy. ;)

After the ending of the last book I wasnt sure I wanted to read this next one. I felt it was predictable, and getting a bit repetitive.
However I decided to give it a go as I hate to leave a series unfinished.
I was pleasant surprised with this one. It wasn't as Violent as the last one and certainly not predictable.
I will certainly read the next in the series now.

The Blah...
-she has been on the run for years, hiding who she is. Then, some guy shows up out of the blue, says he is the 1/2 brother of the Anderson triplets, and gives her his background. She just blinding believes him? Anyone who has been on the run for that long would be more skeptical. She would want to verify his identity in SOME way.

-the insta love is STRONG. Like, its a bit much even for me! Ace is totally in love the moment he sees her and then just pushes himself into her life. The ironic thing is that the guy she is fleeing was an abusive, controlling asshole. Ace kind of comes off the same way. But, because he swears he would never hurt her, its ok? Y'all know if I think the insta love was too much, then its gotta be a problem.
The Beautiful...
-the villain is actually devious! The things he does...diabolical and really show a depth of dedication to ruining lives. Its scary, but in a well written character kind of way.

-Felicity is a tough woman. I thought her reactions to various situations were realistic and appropriate.
The Bottom Line...
The end was unexpected, so I appreciated that. I liked that the epilogue gave us a little snippet of each couple, since they have all been part of this journey. This series is my least favorite Stoker series though. It hurts me to even say it since I tend to adore everything she writes, but this series is one I won't be rereading.

Mom, skip this series. :)

This is the fourth book in the Ace Securities series and I am sad to see it end. But in the end, there is a new series coming that I can not wait to read.
She doesn't want to tell them her secret, she just needs to run before "HE" gets to close to her.
I think you could read these as standalone stories but I recommend reading them in order, that way you don't miss anything.

As always Susan Stoker did not disappoint, her book on Ace Security was superb, all characters are there and one finds out so much more.

Ryder Sinclair’s former Mercenary make a discovery that will change his life forever, he finds that he has three half brothers in Castle Rock and is giving them a chance to color in the spaces in their tragic lives. For Ryder establishing roots is made so much nicer by Felicity Jones. But if his senses tell him something is that she is in deep trouble.

Castle Rock is not Felicity's home, like all about her is a cover to keep her safe and hidden from her past, and she has been on the move for a long time. As safe as Ryder’s strong embrace makes her feel, she fears that falling for him, and staying in Colorado, will put everyone she’s come to love in danger.
Will Ryder keep her safe, will they be together as he wants, for this and for other answers you have to read this story. It made me laugh in certain parts and it made me bawl in others. The characters are incredible.
Thank you Susan for a story that I loved and will read again and again as I read all of your books.

Fantastic

Insta love doesn't begin to describe Ryder's claiming of Felicity but some how it works in this story. Fans of the series know that Ryder is the newly discovered brother and we get that story plus we finally find out what drives the hard as nails Felicity. While you can read this standalone you'll appreciate it more of you read the rest of the series first. I highly recommend this one.

Awe....say it isn't so....what? It's not? (I'll get to that later) What a way to finish off this series.

Felicity is the badass friend who's been helping the other Ace Security woman through their troubles. But beneath all that hard exterior is the Felicity we didn't know. The woman who's been running from someone. The woman who's willing to give up her new life to save those she's grown to care about. But there's just one problem. It doesn't look like her friends are willing to let her go. Especially this "new" friend who has attached himself to her hip. There could be worse things, right?

Ryder is the family secret. The brother no one knew about. That is, until he walked in to Ace Security and told his brothers exactly who he was. It also turned out to be the same day he went face to face with his new obsession. He noticed things about Felicity, even her closest friends couldn't notice. And now, there was no way in hell he was going let her out of his sight, because there's no way he won't protect her with his life.

I'm so happy Felicity got a story. I was wondering what it was and now I know. More importantly, I'm happy she got her hands on Ryder. Why? Because she really needed someone to protect her. To take care of her. And most importantly show her that there was a reason to stop running. These two were perfect for each other and it's a perfect way to end this series.

But wait!!!! There's more!!!!

During this story, we meet Ryder's "friends". And OMG!!!!! I'm already chopping at the bit to get my hands on the new spin off, Mountain Mercenaries. Yes please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Claiming Felicity is the fourth book in Susan Stoker’s Ace Security Series. It can be read as a standalone but as with the other books, you will enjoy it a whole lot more if you read the other books first. I’ve read all of them excerpt for the first one, Claiming Grace. In Claiming Felicity, the Anderson Brothers are introduced to their half brother, Ryder “Ace Sinclair. They had no idea that he existed but he knew all about them. Just like his older brothers, Ryder spent his life helping others. Oddly enough, he did it under the most dangerous circumstances.

When Ryder is introduced to the woman that the Anderson Brothers consider to be their sister, Ryder’s whole life changes. Felicity Jones is nothing like her outward appearance shows to the world. She has this tough exterior with all of these tattoos but deep down inside she is scared to death and ready to leave at any moment. Ryder comes into her life just as her past is about to catch up with her. And although he doesn’t know her at all, Ryder promises to do everything within his power to keep her safe. Coming from Ryder, that’s a lot because he is a Mountain Mercenary. The Mountain Mercenaries are a group of men who rescue abused/enslaved women and children around the world. They will stop at nothing help the innocent. Ryder has killed a lot of bad men in his day so he doesn’t even flinch when it comes to Felicity. And just as the title suggests, he claims her as his own. In the beginning, Felicity doesn’t truly know how to handle Ryder’s declaration but she quickly falls in love with him.

I really did enjoy Claiming Felicity. Ryder and Felicity have great chemistry. As with all of the other books, there is plenty of heat. The one thing that disappointed me was that there wasn’t much action in relation to taking down the bad guy. Ryder is this lethal weapon but we don’t really see him in action. Consequently, I felt like that part of his background was wasted. I can appreciate the author alluding to certain things but I felt let down. I don’t want to give away some of the best parts of the book so you will have to read it to understand what I mean. Otherwise, the book was good overall. I look forward to seeing what happens next.

Ace Security series has not been a total winner for me, I certainly didn't like Book 1 and I tolerated Book 2. Book 3 won me over and I'm so happy that Book 4 is the best (in my personal opinion).

Forewarning that the romance is pretty quick, it's instalove on Ryder's part. The moment he saw Felicity, he knew he wanted to marry her and he made it known to everyone. If instalove is not something you tolerates, then this book might not be for you. Although the sexual attraction is instant, Susan Stoker did prolongs the timeline (as in it jumps one week later to a week later) giving us the feeling that the book spans over a few months. I love seeing the interaction between Ryder and his 3 half brothers, it was suspicious and some resentment (on Blake's part) but slowly they all became closer. Ryder is more badass than his 3 older brothers, the things that he'd done as a mercenary made him perfect for Felicity.

Bailey is still my favourite heroine, Felicity comes next. She appears strong but only Ryder could see through her facade. There were times where Felicity frustrates me but when she finally puts her heart and life in the hands of Ryder, it was such a relieved.

Susan Stoker introduced us to Ryder's mercenary "brothers-in-arms" and I'm thrilled that there will be a spin-off! I hope Cole gets his HEA, maybe a novella in the works?

Ryder & Felicity's story is SO GOOD! From the moment they meet, Ryder is smitten & makes absolutely NO bones about it. Felicity is his ONE and he does everything he can to show her he can be trusted - with her secrets, and her heart. Felicity has been on the run for half her life, and she's determined not to trust anyone 100% for their own safety.

I love the hearts these two possess. I love their sense of family, loyalty, and that their trust is unbreakable once given.

This story is full of heart and action, and the way Felicity handles herself when confronted by her "big bad" was awesome! I loved the kidnapping "twist" (it's a Susan book - the fact that there is a kidnapping somewhere in the story should not be a spoiler! *grin*) and the hints at future books, and the updates on all the brothers & their loves in the epilogue was appreciated!! : )

This book brings a close to this series and does it in a good way. It was nice to see Ryder build a relationship with his brothers and for them to find out the catalyst for their fathers death. I found it interesting how Ryder was the only one that really saw Felicity and the trouble she hid. I was glad that Felicity finally trusted Ryder and let him in on what was going on. That seemed to spur Ryder into action, to get to the bottom of things and get Felicity safe.

I was a bit stunned at the lengths the bad guy went to, it was pure genius in the best way to hurt everyone in the group and hurt them bad. I was glad that they bad guy didn't win, that he got what he deserved and that the group got back what was lost.

The ending to this one was perfect, loved how there were so many HEA's.

I've gotten used to Susan Stoker writing powerful characters and Claiming Felicity is no exception. This, the last of the Ace Security quartet, definitely fights for my favorite of the series. I fell in love with Felicity in the past books as she urged her friends to live their lives without fear and embrace their opportunity for happiness. I knew she had a past that scarred her but she appeared so fearless in coaching her friends to grab life by the balls.

In Claiming Felicity, we see the vulnerabilities that she's been able to hide, until Ryder Sinclair showed up and instantly sees through her carefully crafted disguise. A former soldier and current member of the Mountain Mercenaries, he's tough and tender and Felicity is powerless against the mix. Intensely drawn to him, he breaks through her resolve and vows to rid her of the evil lurking around every corner.

This book was more instalove than the rest, with Ryder declaring himself practically at their first meeting but I didn't mind it. When you know, you know, right? I adored Ryder and loved seeing him fall in love with this tough girl AND with his newfound family. I'm also reallllly looking forward to seeing more of the Mountain Mercenaries! Hooray for a new Stoker series!

Former mercenary Ryder Sinclair heads to Castle Rock, Colorado to meet the 1/2 brothers he just found he had. In the process he meets Felicity, a gym owner and tattooed very tough woman, at least on the outside. Getting to know her, and falling for her he finds out her secrets. She has been on the run from a crazed stalker for years, and it looks like he finally found her. Ryder takes over her security and plans to never let her go. Danger and intrigue follow. This novel is packed with big, muscled and dangerous Alphas. This is the first book I have read in the series, and was able to follow the story easily.

This series is ACES😍

Claiming Felicity is the fourth book in the Ace Security series and it focuses on Felicity and her background and Ryder, a Mountain Mercenary man🤩 Ryder comes to the town of Castle Rock as he wants to meet the Anderson brothers and share a secret he’s recently discovered with them.

He also meets Felicity and can tell she’s hiding something painful and deep, and it doesn’t appear as though anyone else has picked up on it in her circle of friends. When she wants to run - he decides to step in❣️

A great story and series that I’ve now finally finished and recommend❤️

This romantic suspense was quite disturbing and problematic at times but also compelling? The bad guy was downright scary (made my skin crawl) and there were lots of tragic side characters not what I’m usually after in a romance, but it kept me reading! Points off for the third act though, it felt a little choppy.

Oh, on the romance itself, it was very insta-everything but in a good way (if you’re into ultra protective MMCs, wounded bird FMCs who immediately feel safe with the MMC, and a whole lot of “I’m gonna marry that woman energy).

Ryder and Felicity come together to create a beautiful story. There romance is one that will be treasured. I absolutely love the way Susan Stoker continues to deliver different mysteries, romances and happy endings. Every romance reader will enjoy Claiming Felicity and if they haven’t read the other Ace Security books I highly recommend that they do. This book is full of well developed characters and strong plot lines. Once again, well done Mrs. Stoker, well done.

Wow, I really enjoyed it

Susan Stoker did it again, every book in this series has been a hit. I was thinking how could the next one be better than the first one? But she has amazed me every time.
A man meeting his half brothers and at the same time the love of his life. It only took one look at her to realise that. She’s on the run from a mad man and you’ll get to followed the story to the end.
I’ll tell you that love conquers all.
