This book is written by a former FBI Special Agent and contains insight not found in most crime novels. If you enjoy Tom Clancy novels or the Jack Reacher books by Lee Child, you will enjoy To Each What He Deserves. Two fishermen discover the corpse of banker Jay Espinosa in the Florida Everglades; cause of strangulation. Espinosa missed his meeting with FBI Special Agent James Elliott the preceding day to tell Elliott about illegal money laundering at his bank. The discovery of the body starts Elliott on an intricate investigation that covers three continents and spans from Nazi Germany in World War II forward. Along the way, Elliott discovers art theft, money laundering and murder and in the end, each character involved gets what he deserves.
I am a retired FBI Special Agent trying my hand at writing novels. I am very interested in WWII history and the Cold War. So far, I have written one crime novel and one WWII espionage novel. I'm currently working on a Cold War novel involving the Berlin Airlift.
I found the workings of the FBI very interesting. The stolen art from Germany made for a very interesting plot line and definitely held my attention. In my opinion, the author did his homework regarding this story line. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mysteries and detective novels. I lived in Germany for 3 years and now live in Broward County and I have visited Costa Rica so I could identify with all the locations. Great book!
