Light from the Dust has been created. Using the best existing information, authors Scot and Maurine Proctor have traveled two continents with a camera, trying to capture on film the feelings, the light and shadow, the sights that may have been common to the people of the Book of Mormon. "Light from the Dust is to add a vivid and moving backdrop to the experience of reading the Book of Mormon and to feel again, this time with a visual context, the pleadings of the ancient American prophets to our day to come unto Christ. "We labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ," Nephi said. in that same spirit was this book created.
There wasn't anything new or earthshattering in this. It was just a sweet, simple, summary of the life of Christ with stunning pictures. Some of them reminded me of the time I was able to spend there and made me smile.
My grandmother let me borrow her copy a long time ago. Its a beautiful photo book of places where the Savior may have dwelt. I admit, I kind of skimmed it, but I enjoyed it so much I bought it on Amazon for .83 cents! I'm proud of that..hee-hee.(Its out of print) But its in a trilogy, Witness of Light is the first and Light of the Dust is the third. I think they will look lovely on my bookshelf.
Photo essay book of the places Jesus Christ lived, grew up, walked, taught, performed miracles, etc. I was most struck by the picture of a cave that is typical of the type used for stables back in His day - like the place he was born. Now that's lowly.
