Learn about the history, landmarks, and lore of the Grand Canyon State in this illustrated journey through the amazing landscape and culture of Arizona. Fascinating facts about everything that makes Arizona unique are all here in kid-friendly terms -- ranging from the Cliffs of Montezuma and the Wild West to the plants and animals living in the desert, the ghost town of Jerome, the New Age village of Sedona, the cosmopolitan city of Phoenix and, of course, the majestic wonder of the Grand Canyon. It is a western feast of delights for kids (and their parents!) to learn about and explore.
I love Arizona. This book captured almost everything special about the state. I think kids would really enjoy it. Would be great in helping to write a state report.
This is a fun series if you have young readers who are just interested in some of the highpoints of facts about states. The books come in state shapes which will draw attention to patrons. Illustrations are sprinkled throughout the book and the text is easy to read and large. A nice addition to your youth non fiction collection.
