4.25 Stars.

Five books in and this series shows no signs of slowing down as Katie Reus treats us to Nova and Gage and a hint of the verboten being that he’s one of her bosses at Redemption Harbour Consulting.

description I can’t get enough of you.

As always Reus throws all the right ingredients into the bowl and cooks up a storm as Nova heads off to help out her best friend, Layla and soon discovers Gage has invited himself along for the ride. And a ride it is as they finally cross the line whilst also finding themselves in a couple of precarious situations.

description ...she was this bright, wild star that had come into his life, and the fact that he was even thinking in such stupid terms told him how far he’d fallen.

Whilst easily a standalone, with each book Reus gives us a little more from the team and that itself you don’t want to miss out on. In the meantime I’ll just be over here, impatiently waiting for Covert Games to land. Not too long a wait.

4.5 - "We got this.." Stars!

Another absolutely outstanding addition to the Redemption Harbor Series, with Hunting Danger finally giving us Gage and Nova’s story.

His protective feelings for Nova were irrational but he didn’t really care

We have a little of the forbidden going on with this one as well with Gage seeing himself as Nova’s boss, he feels it’s unprofessional to start anything up with her, especially as he knows he would be in it for keeps, and can’t be 100% sure whether Nova feels the same way.

She wasn’t used to asking for help If something needed to be done she did it.

That is until one very eventful plane journey, and a little interlude with some bad guys on what should have been a fact finding spa weekend with Nova’s best friend, puts her (and him) front and center and very much in danger and all up in each other’s personal space.

He’d gotten under her skin and wasn’t going anywhere She’d never imagined this sort of chemistry with anyone, and with him it was like electricity simply arced between them

It’s not long before Gage realizes he doesn’t care if he is being unprofessional or how other people perceive them getting together, and he intends to make Nova his permanently. If they manage to live long enough that is!

She’d branded him, and he would always belong to her

Another rip-roaring adventure, non-stop action, thrill and spills aplenty, and as always a stellar romance, which oozes chemistry between the leads. I cannot wait to return to Redemption Harbor for the sixth book; Covert Games due for release in January 2019.

I've both read and listened:

Audio-Book: Narrator Sophie Eastlake
Wow! I loved this narrator’s voice. It was rich and full and perfect for both the female and male characters. I had previously read this book but found listening to it brought this book to life in a way I wasn’t expecting, making it an even more enjoyable story. I highly recommend it!

Like the other books in this series, this is filled with plenty of action, drama, suspense and steamy chemistry.

Nova and Gage have had a thing for each other since their first phone conversation when he was completely rude and she told him off. As coworkers and Gage her almost boss, he refuses to act on his attraction to her. When Nova sets off to help a friend in distress, Gage invites himself along and they soon find themselves in a mess of epic proportions. And that’s all it takes for the walls around them to collapse.

While I may not have been completely convinced of Gage’s reasoning for staying away from Nova, there is no denying he is one delicious jealous, protective and obsessed hero. Despite the fact that she can take care of herself, he has a deep seated need to protect and care for her. Nova is completely independent and more than capable of her own protection but it does feel good to know that Gage has her back. And once she finally got her foot through Gage’s proverbial door she was going to go for it all.

This had a bit of push and pull to it as well as chase from each main character at different times. With all the drama surrounding this couple, this story moved very quickly. Gage and Nova were both very likable and the heat factor between them was intense and felt real. The resolution of their problems regarding the bad guy seemed a bit forced, and rushed but I loved the epilogue and was more than satisfied when this story ended.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Nova gets a secretive emergency message from her former foster sibling and best friend. When Nova takes off mysteriously to go to Layla, Gage knows something isn't quite right. Being the great hacker that he is, it isn't hard for him to butt right into her rescue mission to keep both women safe.

I've been anxiously waiting for Gage and Nova's story. The author has done a good job of teasing us through out the previous books with their little dance of attraction. I knew it was going to have to be something big to get Gage to take the leap since he was holding back due to being one of her bosses. I think surviving a crash could qualify as something big.

For being on the shorter word count, this book packed a pretty big punch. It's pretty easy to get swept up into the action and Gage and Nova's continued dance. I found it endearing that Gage not only hesitated due to being one of her bosses, but also because he thought she was out of his league. It's not easy to pull off an alpha hero with some insecurities but it worked. Gage was a possessive alpha but also cute with his affection for Nova. I think I like that combination. We finally get Nova and Gage’s story :) These two have been cute side characters in the past and I've been curious about their story for a while. When Nova finds herself in more trouble than she planned on, while trying to help a friend, things between her and Gage finally reach the breaking point.

Gage finds out that Nova is heading out into a possibly dangerous situation alone, so he tags along to watch her back. He says it’s because they’re a team and friends, right? But no matter how many times he says it, it doesn't erase the burning pull and intense attraction he feels for her. And when it looks like Nova is into him as much as he is to her, suddenly them being together isn't so impossible anymore.

Nova and Gage were well matched, I really liked them together as a couple but the romance was a bit sparse in this one (and this could just be me because I was really looking forward to this one, so expectations might have been too high) but I wish there had been more bantering and flirting between them. The action/suspense felt a bit too tame and rushed in the end too. So although I liked it, I’m bummed I didn’t love it. Still the writing was great and overall it was a good addition to the series.

Wonder what’s in store for Levi and if he’ll be next!

Hunting Danger by Katie Reus

5th Book in the Redemption Harbor romantic suspense series. It’s best to have read prior books. In particular because the last few chapters deal with criminals from the prior books and other character storylines.

Action, suspense, romance and love. Characters that steal your heart because of their unexpressed feelings. Such as: “Her friendship was one of the most important things in his life. A group of coworkers that have deep and unwavering support of each their.
A fantastic series. I can’t wait for the next book.

I just didn't love Nova and Gage as much as I did the previous couples in this series. Maybe because all the previous books had too much of them and Gage's pining for Nova in it. Gage was great for Nova, and they had great chemistry. All the previous peeps make appearances and help out with the bad guy or was it two bad guys.

Looks like in the next book they are finally going to take down someone they should have already dealt with.

You can find this review in English below.

***

This story would have been your average romantic suspense if not for the sexist romance the author went for.

The hero is a caricature. An obnoxious alpha who thinks the women are things you can possess and you must take care of even if they don´t want you to.
And the heroine, who was described endlessly as a strong, capable and independent woman, is always ending needing the hero to save the day. Because the author gives her a bad knee or something else. And the one and only time she saves herself, she has to explain herself to heal the hero´s ego.

The romance is all about he thinking she is his, he would put a ring in her finger to show the guys she is his, he would lock her down, he It has been uncomfortable to read. At the very least.

We are in the 21th century, but Romancelandia is still in the 19th century. It´s time to leave this sexist crap behind.

This is the second in this series that I’ve read, and while I enjoyed it, I felt like there wasn’t enough build up for the main characters love story. The action was jam packed, however, and since I was in the mood for a good romantic suspense story, this satisfied the craving.

Nova doesn’t hesitate to rescue her friend Layla, for reasons she isn’t clear on, with Gage hot on her trail. Life or death situations have a way of making reality pretty clear, making Gage realize he needs to get his priorities straight and stake his claim on Nova before it’s too late.

Overall, this was fun, quick read with a lot going on. The storyline was fast and action driven, which was great for my current attention span and quite enjoyable! I got a kick out of Gage and Nova’s ‘going nowhere attraction because Gage kept digging himself a ditch when it came to admitting his feelings for Nova, but he did so in a way that her attention was always on him. Obviously there’s an HEA, but even I was wondering if Gage was ever going to give in to his feelings!

I was looking forward to Gage and Nova's story. They have gone from verbally sparring to friends since she joined the Redemption Harbor team as their assistant. But as an ex-CIA agent, she has her own skills. She is outspoken, sarcastic, clever, and caring. They have been pushing each other's buttons since their first interaction.

But in Gage's eyes, she is off limits to him because he is one of the owners and they are friends. Gage is the team computer whiz and tech guru. He is sexy, smart, adaptable, and protective. He has his issues that make him put up walls, but Nova has the ability to chip away at them.

When Nova's best friend is in trouble, he will not let her go without back up. And when things get more dangerous and complicated than they could imagine, they will have to prove they trust each other and rely on the other. With adrenaline and emotions running high, it will be hard to avoid their sizzling chemistry and attraction. But while dealing with their own personal issues, they are also trying to save her friend and deal with new enemies.

Gage will stop at nothing to keep her safe, but will he be able to? And will he be able to trust her with his heart?

This brings back most of the Redemption Harbor group and some of their contacts in other agencies. It is told in multiple points of view giving us insight to the antagonist as well as protagonists. It is a sexy and suspenseful friends-to-lovers story. They are likable and have snappy banter and hot chemistry. I thought it started out really strong with some surprises I did not see coming, but then it kind of moved a bit fast towards the last half. I would have liked a bit more development in the transition in their relationship and in the resolution of the plot. But I enjoyed the story and and loved Gage and Nova together. I like that these can be read as stand-alones, but I love seeing the characters interact and crossover. Leighton is featured prominently in this one and his book will be the next one in the series.

I received this book for free from the author/netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

While I've enjoyed this series, HUNTING DANGER wasn't my favorite of the bunch which I'm sad about because I've been waiting to finally get Nova and Gage's story. Gage is a hacker extraordinaire but his feelings about his self-worth has kept him from going after what he wants. He's also worried about overstepping by hitting on someone who is an employee even though he's not exactly Nova's direct boss. But Nova returns Gage's feelings and once she has a chance to spend time with him she starts to suspect Gage wants her too. However, Gage spends most of the book running hot and cold and sending lots of mixed signals. I felt that this confusion lasted just a bit too long but it does keep the tension high throughout the book. It takes work but Nova refuses to give up on Gage and she has no problem calling him out on his dumbass moments.

While I liked the hero and heroine the series of events leading up to them admitting their feelings just didn't work so well for me. When Nova and Gage first set out for Montana to visit her friend, they take Brooks' private jet but disaster strikes and the plane crashes under mysterious circumstances. It turns out the plane being sabotaged has nothing to do with Gage, Nova, or the evil fiancé; I felt like this whole part of the story just didn't make any sense. The point of the plane crash was for Gage and Nova to realize they liked each other but they don't actually admit this. While they do kiss in the aftermath it takes quite a bit more of the story for them to actually give into their feelings. This makes it seem like the plane crash and their developing relationship has no connection. Had this been the only thing I might have rated this higher but I also had a problem with how things ended with the fiancé. I don't agree with Gage's actions and I think it was completely unnecessary as a choice.

Fifth book in the Redemption Harbor series; this was the one I was quite looking forward to. Throughout the previous books in the series; it was quite easy to see know that Gage has fallen quite hard for Nova even though it was a meeting of voices rather than eyes at the start ;)

Nova is quite the strong independent woman who has fallen hard for Gage not just for his body but for his mind as well. Gage, on the other hand, has tried to keep his feelings and himself in check for he was sort of Nova’s boss and he didn’t want to take advantage of the fact (does it already show how much adored him for this?).

The story takes right off when Nova receives a troubling message from her best friend and goes off to rescue her all alone. Luckily for her though, Gabe trails behind her to protect her.

Gabe has fallen for Nova quite hard, yet has never crossed the line out of respect for their Boss and Employee relationship. Nova, on the other hand, is the newest member of the team, and tends to keep to herself; but what she does love is needling the one man who has gotten under skin like no other.ÌýÌý

As usual, Katie Reus has created aÌýfast pacedÌýaction plot with precarious, life threatening situations for both Nova and Gage to finally acknowledge their feelings for each other â€ Hunting Danger was an exhilarating ride that I loved being on; even though the climax disappointed me a teeny tiny bit â€ I was just expecting more :D

I also loved getting back together with the rest ofÌýthe team and the fact that author gives a little sneakÌýpeakÌýwith one of the POV’s for the next book, I can’t wait to see where Ms. Reus takes this team to next!Ìý

Katie Reus’s ‘Redemption Harbor series definitely goes from strength to strength with each instalment and ‘Hunting Danger takes on the boss/employee relationship that’s got a delicious hint of the forbidden.

Gage and Nova have had the hots for each other stretching back some time though it’s only an event that Nova gets inevitably involved in that proves to be the catalyst for things between them to change. Yet it’s a solid pairing nonetheless, as Reus tends to do with her brand of romantic suspense, which I’ve long come to appreciate. The admission of attraction, the lack of game-playing, the maturity with which the main characters face their issues—these are dominant traits of Reus’s writing I really like and for the romance alone, Reus did a stellar job in portraying pretty likeable protagonists whom I could and wanted to root for.

The only thing I wasn’t entirely convinced about was the structure: the multiple POVs that popped in and out of the entire narrative, the sudden flashback in the middle of the book, the sections allotted to the villain, to the next protagonist in the upcoming book, to the victim’s, to the founders of the company and so on. It was jarring to say the least, to have such insertions that derailed the growing action when all I wanted at times, was to read about Gage’s and Nova’s growing relationship that had been put aside in favour of the suspense and these additional POVs that felt superfluous.

Still, I’m glad to see that there’s already another book in the works in this series; Reus’s use of tropes somehow never gets old in the way she writes her main characters and I already can’t wait for the next one in line.

Hunting Danger is the 5th installment of the Redemption Harbor series; you can read this as a stand alone! Gage and Nova's story really doesn't even take place in Redemption Harbor and most of the previous characters are just background.

Nova's best friend is in trouble and needs help. Nova plans to go to Montana and help her friend, but Gage isn't going to let her go alone. However, they don't actually make it safely and struggle to get to Nova's friend's aid. Then there is the real problem of getting her friend away from her crazy fiancee! Even with Nova's CIA background, she never could have helped Layla on her own. If Gage hadn't been there, she would have died for sure! The danger is very real and I enjoyed that aspect a great deal.

Gage was a bit frustrating because he loves Nova but won't do anything. He feels that she is far too good for him, that he can't cross that line because he is kind of her boss, blah blah blah. I'm really over men who play the martyr. You love her, she loves you-everything else can be managed. Instead, Gage makes them both sad and miserable by denying their feelings. Ugh! Men!

Gage's irritating man behavior aside, I loved the plot of the story. Lots of action keeps the story propelling forward and you are just along for the ride! Hunting Danger is one of those romantic suspense books that I love-nice balance between danger and romance, and real life danger.

Hunting Danger is the 5th book in the Redemption Harbor series and is about Nova and Gage's love story.
Nova gets a weird /secret emergency SOS message from her former foster sister and BFF. Nova takes off to go to Layla, Gage knows immediately something is off with Nova. Being the awesome hacker that he is, he is able to gind out what's going on and immediately go straight into sticking his nose right into her rescue mission to keep both women safe from harm. Gage and Nova have had this red-hot attraction for one another that goes back some time and it takes an event that Nova gets involved in that proves to be the force that brings things between them to a head and causes the passion to flare, and erupt. Also, in this story, most of the Redemption Harbor group and some of their contacts in other agencies are brought together to help Gage and Nova. Multiple points of view give us insight to the antagonist and protagonists. I loved the steamy heat that spreads out through the pages and I adored this suspenseful friends-to-lovers read. it started out really strong with surprises I didnt expect to see then it just moved at a fast pace toward the last half of story. I enjoyed this story and i cant wait to read more books in the Redemption Harbor series.

Under His Protection!!!

Nova Blaire, a former CIA has been working at Redemption Harbor Consulting as an executive assistant/operations manager for nearly two years. When an old friend, Layla called and asked for her help, she couldn't turn her down. They both grew up in the foster system and always had each others' backs. She couldn't ask her bosses for help especially not the man she had fallen in love with, Gage Yates

Gage Yates, a former Marine and computer genius now one of the cofounders of Redemption Harbor Consulting. A company he started with his friends. He had his eyes set on their assistant who he had fallen head over heels in love with. He knew something was up when Nova asked Brooks ( DANGEROUS WITNESS ) for time off and to use the company jet. He wanted to make sure everything was alright, he was glad he followed his instincts cause he was unknowingly walking into danger and he wouldn't let her walk in it alone.

Nova didn't like what she found out about Layla's fiancé, he was bad news especially with the company he kept. For a split second she had second thoughts about not asking her friends for backup. What's she didn't know was that they were already looking out for her. Layla saw and knew too much, she needed to get out before it was too late. Having Nova with her made her feel a little better. But she wouldn't let her guard down before she was out of the line of fire.

Gage and Nova found themselves in peril but with the help of some amazing people, they were able to get things back on track.
When all the chips were down, the members of Redemption Harbor Consulting along with their friends took care of business. Layla was free and so was Nova but still they had a bigger enemy to take care of.

Loved Gage finally getting his act together and opening up himself to completely trusting and loving Nova. Axel and Hadley ( INNOCENT TARGET ) tied the knots. The bond between everyone at RHC is alluring. Nova got her HEA.

HUNTING DANGER is the fifth book in Katie Reus' REDEMPTION HARBOR series. Oh my! What a heartracing, enthralling, adventurous and exquisite ride. Mind-blowing job by Katie Reus. This series keeps getting better and better with each book. 5++++

Gage and Nova

When Nova gets a text from her best friend, Layla, containing their secret phrase for "help!" , she makes plans to meet her at a resort spa in Montana. But when she stops by the office to look up Layla's fiance', she triggers an alert and Gage, their resident hacker, inserts himself into her trip and the company's new private jet she's borrowed. But their pilot dies unexpectedly in route and the jet appears to have been sabotaged. Gage makes an emergency landing in a field, saving both their lives. They now know Layla's fiance, Brody, is involved in drug running and human trafficking, but was he the one who tried to kill them? And how will they get Layla safely away from Brody and his guards?

This is another exciting standalone in the Redemption Harbor series. It gets 4.5 stars.

Having read and thoroughly enjoyed all the previous books in this series, I was surprised to find I struggled finishing this advanced reader copy. I didn’t particularly feel a genuine connection between Nova and Gage, the main couple. I also didn’t buy into Nova, if she was so worried about her friend, not instinctively confiding her concerns to at least one member of her posse of professional rescuers. If nothing else, just so she wouldn’t waste precious time hatching a plan on her own at the very last second. It felt like she was going in blind with guns blazing, but left her gun at home, folks. The only thing that saved her from this stupidity was Gage going along uninvited for the ride.

I’m well aware this author interjects steam in her romantic reads. However, I wasn’t expecting Gage to so crass/crudely mentally comment about a naughty boy thing he wanted to do to Nova upon his first appearance in the storyline. Gesh, mentally take her to dinner first, buddy. Those few, brief words didn’t feel classy or up to par with this author’s usual leading men book characters. It felt just thrown in for no reason.

With an unlikely, life-threatening, out of the blue scenario featuring too many “WTH? aspects to it that puts them in danger and then Gage’s knucklehead moments of pulling then pushing Nova away, by 68% into, this book became a “whatever book. Meaning whatever happens from then on, I really no longer cared. Here’s to hoping others feel differently. I do usually love this author’s work. This one felt like a filler book just to keep the series going.

Nova receives what appears to be an S.O.S. message from her best childhood friend and immediately sets out to help her friend. Gage is not about to let the most wonderful woman he’s ever met put herself in any type of danger, even though he knows there is not a chance of starting a romance with Nova. And so, what started as a simple meeting between friends ends up in being the ride of a lifetime.

Nova and Gage’s story was everything I’d hoped for and more! The author was able to weave a perfect romance with non-stop action, friendship, and suspense. There is one specific scene where danger is sky high and the way it was told was so palpable that it was as if I was watching a motion picture!

Their relationship advances at a steady and believable pace. Gage was of a mind that no matter how much he desires Nova their work relationship should be a priority and didn’t want to mess that up. That part was getting a bit on my nerves but at the same time I kind of got his point of view. Furthermore, although Gage was protective of Nova, he was never alpha-annoying and trusted her instincts without hesitation. I don’t know about other readers but I always appreciate a man that treats a woman like a partner and not like a fragile piece of porcelain.
That being said, can I say how much I love Sky and Colt as a couple? We met them in Resurrection, book 1 of this series, and to me their relationship is the epitome of couple perfection So thank you Katie Reus for giving me another glimpse of what an awesome couple they are in this book! Of course the rest of the team is just as amazing. The tight bond that surrounds them is what think makes this series such a great read.
With non-stop action and a rescue team to die for, this is one book no true lover of romantic suspense will want to miss!

I received this book from the author at no cost to me and I volunteered to read it; this is my honest opinion and given without any influence by the author or publisher.

Nova doesn’t hesitate when her childhood friend requests her to visit. Based on the message, Nova knows she can’t ignore the request. She doesn’t want to bother her coworkers, and with her CIA background she figures she can handle whatever she will find when she gets to her friend.

Gage recognizes the unusual nature of her request and insists on joining her, especially as he learns who she is going to be facing. He has always been attracted to Nova, but has kept his feelings to himself because of his role as one of her bosses. The close quarters and high danger they find makes him question why he has kept it a secret, but he will do anything to keep Nova and her friend safe.

As usual, Katie creates a story with the right amount of heat, danger, tension, and entertainment. Nova and Gage have both hidden feelings, and traveling together and the situations they encounter force them to face what they have been hiding. But the situations also stretch their abilities to remain calm in the face of all the threats, known and unknown.

The story moved quickly, with twists and turns coming as a surprise in several places. I like that this series stands alone and I can go some time between readings without feeling like I am missing something about the characters. I loved the build up of the story as they each decided how much they could trust the other. The end did come up quickly and (as I often say) I could have used more during the final scenes, but I also know I will get to see these characters in the background of future Redemption Harbor stories so will wait patiently for Leighton’s story to see them again.

I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I loved Gage. He was a bit of an enigma when he was first introduced and I wanted to know more about him. He is a computer hacker, but not the stereotype geek with greasy hair, frumpy clothes, and horn-rimmed glasses. That is not him at all. He's a tough, rugged, ex-Marine with a ton of smarts to match his brawn.

I liked Nova, too, although I didn't appreciate her calling him a dumbass. But he loved it. Hey, whatever works for any couple. Who am I to judge the relationships of other people, fiction or not? It worked in this case.

The story starts with Nova getting a cryptic message from her friend, Layla, who lives in Montana and is about to be married. Nova knows something is wrong, but isn't sure what. She asks Brooks for the use of his private plane, Gage finds out, and hops on board with her.

Nova and Gage have had feelings for each other for a long time, but have denied it. He is her boss and any sort of relationship with her would be wrong. She disagrees, but as things go and the tension mounts, he has a chance to rethink things.

The action starts at the beginning and holds on until the end. The strain of the situations kept me turning the pages. I loved the characters, the plot was tight, and the ending was so sweet, I actually said, "Aw" out loud. I waited for this book for awhile and was not disappointed.

This earned an easy five stars.

With this one I really liked the connection that Nora and to her BFF Layla. Loved that while they might not have talked in a while, when Layla sent Nora a text with their “oh shit, things are bad code words Nora dropped everything to help her friend. It helped that Nora works for people that have access to a private plane to get her there faster and computer sources and skills to help her dig into the potential problem. Gage had me laughing, his crush on Nora dictated that he jump into help her without knowing anything. It was a good thing Gage was there because the trip went to crap fast, as the plane crashed. Once they were rescued they were on to help Layla.

Quickly Nora and Gage figured out some of the trouble Layla was in, Layla clued them into the rest. The situation so big that they had to call in the big guns with the FBI. Figuring out a way to get Layla away from the trouble was a bit trickier, but they managed it. Sadly the trouble followed them home, but Gage and Nora had the skills to deal with things, making Layla safe.

In the middle of all the drama Nora and Gage danced around each other, with Gage not wanting to be in the position of taking advantage of an employee. Nora quickly laid out her thoughts and the barrier no longer there. As their relationship grew it was fun to see how all the others chimed in, most with a finally.

The author takes us back to Redemption Harbor and the members of Redemption Harbor Consulting. A company that helps those that have nowhere to go for help.
This story belongs to Gage, former Marine and computer wiz, and Nova, organizer extraordinary for the company. These two have been attracted to each other, neither letting the other one know. Mainly because Gage is one of the bosses and mixing business with personal matters is something neither Gage nor Nova believe would work.
When a friend of Nova’s needs help , she goes to her rescue, very much annoyed at Gage when he joins her . They face danger and in the midst of it , the sparks ignite. But will they survive to find their HEA?
The plot is fulled of action, bad guys, alpha males, and strong women. The later is something I always appreciate this author doing.
The characters are complex and imperfect. Lastly, as with many of Ms Reus books, a reminder that life is not black and white, but varying shades of gray. When one is put in a dangerous position , drastic measures need to be taken to survive.
Another very good addition to this series we have all come to love.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Nova is a loyal friend so when her friend, Layla, sends her a call for help. She drops everything she's doing at Redemption Harbor Consulting and plans to fly to Montana. She's annoyed when one of her bosses, Gage, comes along. Even though she cares for him, she knows that she can save her friend without his help. However, Gage won't let her put herself in danger. Can they work together to save Layla from a monster? Nova is stubborn and determined to help her best friend. Gage cares for Nova but he won't tell her. I could tell that they belonged together. I wanted these two to follow their heart and find their HEA. I was hooked on this romantic and suspenseful story. The characters are compelling. I liked them and cared what happened to them. It was great to see the other members of the Redemption Harbor team. They are always there to support each other. I enjoy this series by Katie Reus. She pulls me into a world of excitement and romance. I can't wait to be involved in their next adventure.
I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. My comments are my honest opinion.

Ex CIA agent Nova Blair has been working as an executive assistant at Redemption Harbor Consulting for 2 years. Redemption Harbor Consulting is an organization that helps people get out of bad situations or people who can’t turn to the law for help. Nova’s best friend from childhood has texted her with a code phrase within the text that tells Nova that something is very wrong. She plans to go help her but doesn’t want to involve her employer. Her boss Gage Yates finds out something is up and isn’t about to let Nova put herself in possible anger. Gage has been attracted to Nova from the beginning but hasn’t acted on it.

This is part of the Redemption Harbor series but could be read as a stand alone. The suspense in this book starts at the first page and keeps til the end. There is also a romance in the book. I have read other books. In the series and this one was a good addition. I look forward to another book in the series. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

5 Star Review of Hunting Danger (Redemption Harbour #5) by Katie Reus
I have not read any of the previous books in this series and I had no problem whilst reading Hunting Danger, unless you count needing to go back and read all the other books in the series ASAP as an issue?
From chapter one Katie Reus had me engaged, I really didn’t want to put this one down as I found myself invested in what was happening to Nova and Gage.
When Nova’s childhood friend sends her a cryptic SOS, Nova rushes to help her. Gage is determined that Nova not go without backup so he turns up unexpectedly to help her and boy is she glad he did.
After their plane crashes, it is one thing after another. What follows is an adventure full of danger, suspense and intrigue that will have you on the edge of your seat.
At times Gage’s behaviour was a tad annoying but all in all the chemistry between Nova and Gage was obvious. However when Gage rejects her will Nova walk away or fight for who she wants? One click now and find out.
