When Lucy isn’t writing, she’s busy reading—or listening to—every book she can get her hands on romance or otherwise.
She lives & loves in New York with her husband, two children, a turtle & a Yorkshire Terrier.

Abby is just trying to save money so she can finally start her jewellery business, her days are consumed with designing her next piece of jewellery and people watching in her favourite coffee house, that’s where she meets the sexy and mysterious Nathan Price.
Nathan Price fell in love with Abby the moment he saw her. Successful business man he’s from an affluent family he’s always tried to set himself away from his father making his own fortune. Seeing Abby he knows he will do anything to have her but there are secrets in his past that could destroy the only future he wants.
Perfect insta-love story that’s easy to read with love, drama and some hot scenes. Well written an not to OTT.
This book was super sweet!!! I loved the banter back and forth between Nate and Abby!! It was a quick read but still gave enough details that kept me invested!! I loveddddd Nate's mom and the strength she finally showed at the end!! The scenes were so steamy and hot and it kept me flipping page after page until the end!! Great read!!!
Everything's Better with You by Lucy Eden is the First book in the Everything's Better Series. This is the story of Nathan Price and Abigail Moore. This was a story of opposites attract where we have the brooding alpha rich hero with the loving Abigail struggling to be a bartender and do her dream of being a jewelry designer. They end up finding each other and can't turn away from their feelings. Quick Hot Read.
Short, steamy, & love at first sight! 😍 it’s my first time reading a novella and I wasn’t sure how I’d like it but Lucy done an amazing job with this one! This has love, drama, and some amazing sexy time!
It could be an amazing story if it was much longer with lots of tension and chemistry 😩 I don’t think I’ll ever be a fan of instalove it’s not for me. Plus the big secret could’ve been one hell of a plot twist further in the story if MMC best friend didn’t blurt it out. Sigh
2 stars OVERALL: This is a whirlwind 24 hour insta-love between a perfect angel sweetheart and the creepy billionaire who's been watching her. The sex is AHMAZING(ly meh and cringe) and the second half of the novella is all family drama and happily ever after. Content warnings: mentioned drug abuse, mentioned homophobia, abusive father, bullying, stalker-vibes, sexually explicit scenes, adult language
I don't remember where I found this recommendation. I think a later book of the series was what I saw suggested, but this first one was available through my library and so short! And so bad!
It was a whirlwind start, and not a great one. The meet-cute was cute enough and off to a good start, but then as soon as it switches to his POV, he's been watching her on the CCTV cameras for months "trying to work up the nerve" to ask her out... that's just creepy. He's pretty much already in love with her before they ever speak. He's been doing renovations to the coffee shop but won't touch "her chair" because of how she makes that corner look... He happens to show up at the club where she works, and offers her manager to "pay for her shift" to cover the loss of an employee...?? And has neglected to tell the main female character that he's engaged. Direct quote: "I was running late because of the man who just shattered my heart and humiliated me at work." But this doesn't stop them from dry humping against the side of a brick building, despite her thinking he's engaged and he's not "explained" yet??? She agrees to meet up with him and then is told that the engagement has been faked, the woman is his bff and she's been too afraid to come out to her family, but she's recently found love and they're going to break off the engagement. So I guess this is supposed to endear us to Nate, because he was willing to help her and is so upstanding for keeping her secret?
Nate takes Abby back to his amazing ginormous penthouse, he alternates feeling incredibly tender/ loving and then feral/dangerously aroused toward Abby. They have magical de-virginizing sex on a recliner in his home theater, and she has about 20 orgasms, but at least there's plenty of condoms. He asks her to move in with him--this is LITERALLY the evening after they first spoke. Here's a quote from then, ~page 50 (my kindle had a bunch of excerpts at the end, so percentages aren't quite right): "My brain was still trying to make sense of this crazy scenario: barely twenty-four hours ago, I'd made a date with a handsome stranger, and now I'm the secret girlfriend of Nathan Price, one of the wealthiest men in the city, maybe the world. My boyfriend, if I could call him that, was engaged to someone else. His fiancee was a member of one of the other wealthiest families in New York. She was in love with someone else, and they all lived together in this penthouse. This was something out of a movie or a wacky sitcom. Nate asked me to move in, and a large part of me considered it, but I couldn't do that, could I?" They both are already having love feelings. I realllllly wanted to DNF, this was just too insta-love and was creepy! But it was so short and I had a free afternoon.
Honestly the second half somehow got a little better?? Since they were already in love and so established and living together--a whole two weeks of bliss!--there can be external conflict and plot. So we meet her amazing and loving family, super supportive of this relationship with its firm foundation. Then we meet HIS family: dad's a controlling jerk, mom "really did love us" but since the mean dad sent the boys off to boarding school to control mom, she'd sunk into drug abuse and hadn't been the same since then. So the dad confronts the main character but Nate has done the right thing and forgiven his mom's emotional distance of 15+ years and then comes home JUST IN TIME THANK GOODNESS to rescue Abby from the dad's disgusting verbal berating. And his mom stands up to the dad. Happily ever after, with mom going through rehab, finding religion, living with our main characters to help out because they have 3 kids and one on the way in the epilogue, and thankfully every side character has also found their soulmate and is also cranking out children. THE END.
Such a cute..sweet..instalove..love at first sight... quick read!!! I really liked this...even though it was an instalove story it wasn’t OTT ridiculous in anyway. It was sugary sweet perfection!!!
If I was going to judge a book by its title, I would think Everything's Better With You is a vanilla, buttercream frosting story. Oh it's sweet, alright. But there is a serious naughty factor, which I was absolutely delighted to discover. Lucy Eden's tag line says she writes love at first site stories about audacious females and alpha males. Yep. Hook. Line. Sunk. Let's do this.
Story Line: Abigail isn't your typical Gentleman's Club employee. No, she's not taking off her clothes to make her way through college. Nope. She's the bartender, first of all. And second of all, she's an aspiring jewelry designer (a detail I absolutely adored). She meets our sexy alpha hero at a coffee shop and there's an instant zing between them. But Abby is full of sass and vinegar, so she doesn't immedately say yes to a date with Nate. Oh no, she has to give him a run for his money. LOVE that. I'm all about the insta-love. But I legit cannot resist a story where the heroine has a mouth on her. Probably because I'm totally sassy in real life. Seriously. Ask my husband. He will tell you how annoyingly sassafras I am. Poor guy. He's stuck with me ;)
Back to our story, so Nate has some family drama. His dad's a real peach. A bitter peach. One that has dark spots all over it that you just want to chuck across an empty corn field. Can you tell I did not care for his dad? Then there's his brother and mom and you get the picture. He's got some skeletons in his closet that have to be delt with. Lucky for Abby (and for us) he is quick to realize they may jeopardize his future, and gets down to business. Abby and Nate's story moves along at a steady pace, but does not seem crazy far fetched (LOVED) and the epilogue was amazing - super hot and bothered now. But amazing.
Interaction: What can I say, I'm a sucker for angst and banter. And this story has both. Nate and Abby definitely leave room for angst and build up before the laundry happens. I've noticed a lot of times, when a description says inst-love, it means laundry in this first chapter. I was absolutely delighted that I had to wait a bit to read it. I love the build up to fireworks. LOVE. And Nate and Abby's relationship builds steadily, but in a very real way. Their love does not seem embellished or fluffed. I felt them fall in love with each passing page. It was beautiful.
Laundry: Alright let's get right down to it. The laundry was off the charts hot. No joke. From the moment they did the naughty tango all the way through the end of the epilogue, it was seriously so delicious. I think my eyes had flames in them as I was reading some of the scenes. Trust me on this - you won't be disappointed.
Depth: Novella length can sometimes leave the depth department a little vague. But not this story. Nate's character is so handsomely developed that it covers the majority of the depth I really crave in a love story. His family is a trip, to say the least. But they add layers of complexity to a moderately short love story. Everything's Better With You is a rare gem in the romance novel word. It has depth, great characters and a totally believable story line. Y'all are going to LOVE it when it releases to Amazon on August 3rd.
I found this little Novella on Instagram, and was drawn to the cover and the idea of having a short, sexy read in my kindle arsenal. My first read from Lucy Eden who has 5 novellas in her repertoire, and she delivers exactly what she says in her descriptions.
Everything's Better With You is a story about Abby and Nate who meet at a coffee shop, some flirting ensues and they agree to a date the next day. That same evening when Nate and some of his friends go to the club where Abby works, one of his friends drops a bombshell that ruins their relationship before it's even began. Once Nate is given the chance to explain, he and Abby's relationship flourishes, yes the story is very insta love, I mean she agrees to live with him on the second day of meeting him; but that is the description of the novella so it's perfectly suited to the story.
For a novella Lucy Eden has managed to establish a connection between Nate and Abby, develop a history to work as a side story to the centrepiece that is their relationship. There is depth to the story, which is often hard to achieve in a novella but it works here. If you forget the time scale that Nate and Abby have met in, their relationship is well written, believable and I really liked Nate's determination to not be his father, and Abby's sarcastic mouth and sense of humour.
Everything's Better With You is a great little pick me up read to have on standby when you want a short, sweet and sexy book to settle your bookworm itch.
If you're looking for a quick, sweet, and sexy read, this is a good one for you. I've read two of Lucy Eden's books so far. She seems to write love at first sight with that instant attraction between the two main characters that get you hooked into the story fast. Sure, some would say it's too easy, but I think most of us wish that love and connection could be that easy for most of us. And I do enjoy the story and the connection between Nate and Abby. I must add that I like the next book "Everything's Better with Kimberly" more because it has more depth and the author had spent more time developing her characters in that book. I have her new release on my TBR list already!
A charming love story with lots of steam. You won't find a lot of angst, conflict, however, if you love a love story almost insta love even though Nate has been watching Abby for months trying to work up to talking to her at the coffee shop they both frequent, you will love this one.
He treats her like a queen, a sexy queen, loves her sass and wants her for all time. He just has to convince her and there is one little hang up I'll let you read to discover.
She's a jewelry designer and bartender in a gentlemen's club. She's not very experienced. Together they are a match to love. Reviewed for Words Turn Me On
** ARC review for Everything’s Better With You, novella by Lucy Eden** 💫 Coming to amazon and KindleUnlimited August, 3rd 2018 ** ❤️Short, Sweet and Sexy 🔥 In a fast paced and enjoyable read, Eden delivers a delicious insta-love romance. Billionaire, Nathan Price, has admired a girl in coffee shop for months, finally getting the opportunity to approach her, he becomes enamored with a sassy, Abby Moore. While the chemistry was instant, Nate had a few secrets. This story unfolds with drama and is jammed packed with sexiness. I just loved Abby’s wittiness and cheeky remarks, which gave Nathan’s sweet and seductive personality a perfect balance for a page turning, fast read. If you find yourself like I was, in the middle of reading full length novels and just wanted something simple and hot to devour, then this is the perfect novella.
Everything’s Better with You is a short, sweet and steamy novella!!! It releases Aug 3..... thanks Lucy for the ARC... this was my first read of yours and I enjoyed it. It was fast paced insta love..... Let me say you will think there is cheating but there is NONE. So if that’s an issue.... Nate and Abby are amazing. The sexual tension is combustible. There is ALOT of details given in this for it to be a novella.... The story was sweet and steamy and kept me drawn in.... All in all I would say this is a great read!!!!
Super cute, hot, steamy, quick novella. Instalove, lust, billionaire, saving the girl from struggling. The attraction is so apparent. The hero is sweet yet dealing with parental drama. If you want this hot instalove steaminess of genuine handsome billionaire hero, grab this book. !!! I enjoyed it.
A beautiful love at first sight story. If you love romantic, yet steamy romance then Abigail and Nathan's story is a must read. I always enjoy a short story when it has just enough romance to make your heart melt but just enough spice to get in that oh yeah ;) Nathan is defiantly my book crush of the month.
Everything's Better With You is my first story by Lucy Eden and I can sincerely say it won't be my last. Sugary sweet and super sexy, this quick novella spoke to my instant love loving heart. Nate and Abby were the absolute cutest. I could not get enough of their fast and fiery connection. Yes, their relationship went from 0 to 60 in a heartbeat but with the way the story was written it didn't feel overly rushed or cheesy. I do wish I had more solely because I enjoyed it so much.
With a swoony hero, an adorable heroine, steamy sexy times, family drama and a pile of bagels, Everything's Better With You is worth a pick up.
I just wow I hated this book. The whole “I fell in love with you while watching you from afar is not the romantic gesture it’s meant to come off as. In a 24 hour time slot, she’s met the man, agreed to a date but then also agreed to move in with him and quit her job. Within 2 weeks, madly in love and agreed to marry him. I have no words for how much I disliked the entire story.
My only qualm with it- I wanted more. I’d really like this author to spread out past novellas and make it longer. Her writing has a beautiful flow that has potential to make us all feel the angst.
The characters were great, the story was amazing. There were times when reading I kept making sure it was ending soon. The story could really go multiple places....
Nate and Abby's story is hot!! Instant chemistry that comes through the pages as you read. Love this story! Lucy Eden knows how to write them!! Definitely recommend this book for everyone to check out!
Lucy Eden is quickly becoming one of my new favorite authors. Ive read and loved all of her novellas but I have to say Everything’s Better With You is probabaly my favorite so far, I quickly fell in love with Abby and Nate. The storyline was fun, sexy and had me laughing. If you are looking for a quick fun read I highy recommend.
Insta love - Mr. Price knew exactly what he wanted from the first moment he noticed her, he was convinced she belongs to him. Abby without knowing someone was in love with her. Without knowing the corner she always picked on her favorite cafe was the corner where her future was going to be planned. If you have love INSTA LOVE you need to read this one. Great story.
This is a book that has it all. Characters who can think with their brains not just their organs. I laughed and cried, but I am so thankful the author included the extra chapter with the continuation of this story.
