A rhyming story introduces young readers to germs and where they live, from food left out of the refrigerator to the inside of the body, and offers gentle rhyming instructions on how to keep germs away. Original.
In my pre-k class, germs is a reoccurring topic that we always revert back to. Anytime a friend is out sick, we use that as a time to refresh what we have already discussed on the topic. As a teacher, I am always stressing the importance of washing your hands. We go over when is the proper times to wash your hands, how to wash your hands, and ways to keep your hands clean (or eliminate the amount of germs that are on your hands). In my class we brush our teeth once a day and talk about the importance of hygiene as it relates to germs. My students love that this book is written in the germs dialogue so it shows what the germs are thinking.
I found this book to be very informative and creative in how it educated kids on what germs are, where they live, how they spread, and what preventative measures we can take to stop the spread. It provides examples of all the places germs like and dislike emphasizing the importance of being aware of all the places germs reside. It also talks about the importance of handwashing to keep you and others healthy. It is a very easy read and informative way to teach kids all about germs.
This book is all about germs and how they can be harmful. The book continues in a journey explaining each way that germs may show themselves. I think that this is a cute books for beginner readers to read. The concept is great and easy enough for kids to understand. There are a few challenging words in there but nothing too overwhelming for them. I would recommend this book to others.
This was a very informative book about germs. It talked about friends and enemies of germs, but kind of in a weird way. It was done in a name-calling scenario like finger licker or nose picker which I feel like is fuel for bullying. Interesting book.

Easy Reader, age 6-8. The only "Easy Reader" I have ever truly enjoyed. Germs! Germs! Germs!, is all about, get this, germs! Surprising, I know. Follow the germs as they tell you everywhere they are, and who they like (usually kids with nasty habits), and who they don't like (those darn kids who wash their hands!). "We're on the ground, we're in the air, we are germs and we are EVERYWHERE!"
This is a really cute, speedy read. Little kids will definitely be captivated by the fun little rhymes and the creative assortment of germs throughout the book. The water colored pictures are bright, and there's a lot of action going on on each page. This book would do best for young kids learning about hygiene, or possibly early science, but it's also just plain entertaining. I wouldn't use this in my work with high schoolers, but I would definitely use it with my own children to teach about germs in a fun and non-scary way. Even as an adult it's an enjoyable read.
