READERS: Make sure you read Quick N Dirty first so you don't miss important details which come into play in Quick Start!
Sam Quick watches his older brother leave for his honeymoon, relieved now that one of them is married and ready to carry out Gramma's wishes for the family and ranch to grow. Now all he has to do is get Ande's little boy safely into the truck and back to the ranch, and he can get back to work. At least, that's the plan, until the girl from his dreams runs her shiny BMW right up under his battered old Dodge truck. She doesn't hesitate to let him know what she thinks about cowboys and their dirty trucks. Giving her a hard time is the most fun he's had in years until he finds out the spoiled little rich girl is actually a shy, innocent woman on her own for the first time. He signs on to help her find her inner strength and hopes like hell he doesn't fall head over heels for her at the same time. Either way, he'd better get a quick start.
We all know real life, real people, and real love aren't always roses and rainbows. I do my best to keep my characters, and their love, as real as possible, even if that includes an occasional stereotype or insta-love. Let's face it. Stereotypes exist for a reason, and love at first sight is a real thing.
So, if you're good with those things, and with: dirty-talking, overprotective alpha males as heroes, and strong, smart heroines; sexual tension and steamy sex scenes; a man willing to do anything, even kill, for the woman he loves (and sometimes the other way around)... Well, then you might love my books. If those things make you squeamish, these are definitely not for you.
In case you've just found me, I'm Aden, a male romance author in a female dominated world. I live in the south eastern US, in the middle of nowhere, with the wife of my dreams, Elyse. We have a few fur babies, and a horse named Joe.
I am loving this new series! This is Sam’s book and he is the fun loving flirty brother. That is until Marynne crashes into his life literally. At the beginning she is a spoilt, rich brat but as the story progresses she grows and develops learning that everything her grandmother said is total BS that was to keep her under her thumb and dependent on her. The Quick family takes her in and out of her comfort zone and she flourishes. She even stands up to her grandmother. This is a fun and fast read and I can’t wait for Nate’s book!!
Quick Start is the second book in the Quick Family Ranch series. Sam and Marynne’s story is a romance that starts off slow, with a touch of wit, a splash of drama and a heaping of good old fashioned chemistry. A girl that has been broken by the person who should have nurtured and encouraged her and a country boy that just wants to see her laugh and be happy. This series is one that gives you a bit of everything you want in a country romance including enough heat and passion to warm you on a cold winters night.
A wonderful second edition to this series. The rich heiress crashes into the country boy. She has been damaged but he is patient and earns her trust. Their story is so sweet and gets very passionate. The future looks bright for them both. Looking forward to seeing Nate come out of his shell.
Sam..the handsome ladies man has met his undoing. She's from money and it shows not only in her looks but in her attitude. It only take a few misspoken words for him to realize that there is more to this filly than meets the eyes. He vows to himself not to get hooked on her, but man it's hard. She needs his help, but she doesn't know it. When his family (well his father), offer's her a job for which she is quite suited for in front of her uppity, conniving, controlling grandmother, she is a bit shaken but accepts it and refuses to leave with her grandmother; who promptly cuts her off financially. Well...the woman wanted her to get a taste of the real world, now she has gotten what she wanted! Old bitty just didn't realize that what she wanted was exactly what Marynne needed and desired.
This story line is wonderfully written with a Quick Start to the emotional feels for both Sam and Marynne. Sam shows Marynne that not all men are out for one thing from a woman. With his patience and caring (and a lot of cold showers), he proves to her that what her grandmother has pounded into her head is just not so. He shows her what all her friends from college were talking about when it came to men and women. But it is Marynne's self-esteem and confidence that has built since working and living with the Quick family and it is the thing that Sam is most proud of himself for accomplishing when it comes to the naive and sheltered Marynne.
This is a wonderful story and a quick read and one that I know you will enjoy just as much as I have. I highly recommend this book.
Oh Dear the Quick family is at it again. Once again Aden Lowe has given us a fun, flirty and romantic storyline that will have you laughing, smiling and maybe even swooning a time or two. This is Sam Quick’s story and oh what a story.
Sam meets Maryanne when her car runs into the back of his old truck. When she gets out of her car Sam is wowed, right up until she opens her mouth. You see Maryanne is from the big city and comes across as the spoiled princess type, which I suppose on one hand she really is. But Maryanne is sent to the small town by her grandmother to work for the local preacher so she can learn to become of some use to society. But she’s a week late and the job she was sent for is filled. But worse than that her car is a mess and she has no place to go while it’s being repaired. In steps the Quick family and takes her in. But Maryanne has no clue how to do anything around the house or the ranch. But you can bet your life the Quick boys will figure out something. Especially after they get to meet Maryanne’s stubborn, stuck up grandmother who’s britches are just a little too uptight.
This is a great story that you don’t want to miss. It will have you in it’s charming spell throughout. While it’s not a have to, I strongly recommend reading book 1 of the series, Quick N Dirty, first to meet the family and know little the details that help make book 2 great. 2 Thumbs up for a great series and 5 stars for a great read.
4 1/2 Stars! Marynne is a spoiled and pampered princess when Sam literally bumps into her in a fender bender. Irritated with her high maintenance helpless and entitled behavior, Sam takes pleasure in teasing her and getting her riled up. When he finds out her sad history with her rich, controlling, and emotionally abusive grandmother, he and his dad rallied behind her and supported her efforts for some autonomy. With her grandmother enraged, Marynne had a chance to work and earn her own keep, all the while falling for Sam and his gentle honesty. I liked the way Sam falls for Marynne as he spends more time with her. He recognized the damage her grandmother inflicted on Marynne in order to manipulate and control her and takes the time to encourage and raise her self confidence. I really enjoyed this sweet and sexy romantic story where Sam’s family end up filling all of Marynne’s needs.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the book 2 in the Quick Series. Sam meets Marynne by accident, literally. She comes across as a very spoiled rich girl on a Mission sat by her grandmother in order to gain her inheritance. Very much out of her comfort zone. The question is does she fulfill her assignment or does meeting Sam and the Quick family change her perspective on life? I love the Quick Family. Ranch men who take care of there own. This is a fun read, makes a person smile. I highly recommend this series.
Well done, Aden. I loved the slow burn and adore this entire family. There's a brother and daddy left to pair up, so get writin', Mister Man. Quick Start is recommended if you want a sweet romance that satisfies.
Omg such a sweet read, I love these Quick boys 😊 both stories so far have been lovely, and Nate being the shy one sounds like it’s going to really interesting 😁 and also a catch up with the other brothers and their wives 😁
I could read one of Aden Lowe's books forever. One right after another. I absolutely love how Sam's story was told. I highly recommend this or any of Dawn's books. You won't be disappointed!
What happens when you have a car accident when you're leaving your brothers wedding with your nephew, well you hire that girl - will it lead to something more. Find out what happens to Sam and Maryanne.
Wow, Marynne has the shock that she has to face life on her own and totally unprepared. Thank goodness for the Quick solution. Heroes come in different ways, lucky Marynne.
Quick Start is Sam & Marynne's story, it was a sweet and uplifting story. What made this book better than the first book was how we got first row seat to see Marynne with the support of Sam explore life and find out what she enjoyed doing.
Ever fall in love with a bunch of fictional cowboys? How about a whole family of them? No? That's only cause you haven't read this series yet! Can't wait for the next one!
There are times when I think I read too fast or the book is too short and this is one of those times as I’m not ready for the story to end. I loved this story and the characters and am eagerly awaiting the next in the series.
