Following a tumultuous break-up with Ron, Hermione finds herself intoxicated and relatively prone to poor decision making after she runs into Draco Malfoy in a club, having been years since she has seen him. Upon seeking to escape the following morning, she realizes he is her new neighbour and is quite insatiable. Winner of best Healer!Hermione in the Granger Enchanted Awards 2018.
After ending her engagement to Ron and moving into a new flat, Hermione finds herself intoxicated at a club sitting next to someone totally unexpected. It's been eight years since she's seen Draco Malfoy, and in that time, he's obviously changed. Not only is he incredibly fit, wearing muggle clothes, and sporting longer hair and stubble, but he's actually trying to engage in genuine conversation with Hermione. Draco is DEFINITELY not the same immature brat from school. So after a few shots and a surprising kiss, Hermione ends up spending the night with Draco. The following morning when trying to leave his apartment, Hermione is shocked and horrified to learn her new flat is next-door, which makes Draco Malfoy her bloody neighbor.
In this post-war fanfic, Hermione is a healer at St. Mungos and Draco is a professional quidditch player. There's angst, romance, sexual content, healing journeys, and canon elements to the story.
My Thoughts:
The storyline was cute and entertaining. I loved the beginning, and seeing how Draco and Hermione got together. Nothing like having a one night stand with your old nemesis only to find out they're your new neighbor. Cue to sexual tension!
The writing was okay. It definitely was not bad, but if I'm comparing it to some of my favorite fanfic authors like SenLinYu or HeyJude19, it wasn't top-notch. The sentence structure and use of pronouns was extremely repetitive, which I found distracting.
I liked seeing Hermione as a healer. Canon Hermione is so compassionate that I could totally see her becoming a healer and pouring her heart into her work. The subplots about Hermione's research project and her looking for a cure for Astoria were interesting!
Obsessed with mature, DILF Draco. This Draco has his sh*t together. He's the perfect lover, boyfriend, ex-husband, and father. The way he takes care of and values Hermione, Scorpius, and Astoria is so sweet. He reeks of perfection, and I'm here for it!
Glad we got to see Draco and Hermione interact with Harry and Ginny as a couple, but I think there should have been more moments. It was such a big deal when Hermione first introduced Draco to the Potters, but after that happens, they basically disappear from the story. Harry and Ginny are supposed to be some of her best friends, so I think it would make more sense if they showed up more.
Hermione's PTSD could have been introduced and developed better. We know Hermione suffers from PTSD near the middle of the story, but by the last few chapters it becomes so intense that it starts taking over her life. I can see why the author wrote it this way, but it felt out of place and exaggerated in order to add drama. In my opinion, her PTSD should have been discussed earlier so the drama surrounding this topic flowed more naturally.
How Draco handles Hermione's lack of self care was BS. This is the one part of the story I hated. When Draco finally confronts Hermione, he starts the conversation with so much love and begs her to open up. But then, he turns things around and makes it about himself by talking about how the same trauma affects him. Then, after he's upset Hermione and tried to force her to talk about her trauma, he just leaves and says "You're the most important thing to me, Hermione, and I'd do most anything for you but right now I can't fucking look at you." It was unkind and extremely manipulative. And to really stick it to her, Draco doesn't talk to Hermione for an entire week. But then Hermione ends up apologizing to Draco and thanks him: "Thanks for pushing me. You leaving forced me to come to terms with the truth." BARF. 🤢 Absolutely not. The author should have handled this situation in a more mature and healthy way.
Overall, I didn't love it or hate it. This isn't a fanfic I plan on reading again, but it's a decent one to check out if you want something fluffy with a little bit of depth.

This was my first dramione, and overall I thought it was ok. I appreciate that they didn't try to make us 'hate' Ron, even though the initial set up of the breakup was a little out of character. I felt the story could have had a little more tension, a little more insight into how the characters deal with the various ways they have changed from their childhood/teenage selves. That being said, I like that they DID change, and weren't boxed in to who they were as kids. The most interesting parts of the story were definitely those regarding Hermione's work at the hospital. I'm not sure if I am completely sold on dramione yet, but this was a decent start!
This was light and fluffy. The characters weren’t really realistic to the series but it’s fine because I loved it. One of my favorite Draco head cannons .. quidditch super star Draco.

A short fanfic. After a crazy night with a lot of alcohol, Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger involved, she hopes to never see him again. Funny surprise to see him be her next door neighbor. It's a story that progresses at a natural pase, specially seeing this relationship flourish as they are mature, grown and responsible adults with their own lives which they now share. We see a Healer Hermione who is devout to her profession, helping others, with new and probably unconventional ideas that help her get past her past and have a better future. Draco on the other hand is mature and adult, and though his canon established future is somewhat respected in terms of Astoria and Scorpius, it kind of blurs to comply with this new relationship. Adult, mature, with aspirations and goals and real worries, but with a great relationship development I thoroughly enjoyed.
Super wholesome and sweet with some smut. Healer Hermione and Quidditch Star Draco. Healthy co-parenting with ex-wife Astoria, Scorpius is well written. Theo, HP, Ginny, and some OCs guest star. Tropes include getting drunk at bar and going home together, neighbors, Ron slander. Honestly he is a bit of a stalker at the beginning and Granger is too forgiving.

Started off so well, with super cute interactions between Hermione and Draco, but unfortunately went way downhill around the mid-point mark. Wasn't a huge fan of the side stories and the conflict and unnecessary angst. Such a shame, because the beginning of the story was absolutely delicious!
One thing I loved most in this work, is how mature they both are. Especially Draco had SUCH a character development since his Hogwarts days. They're both able to talk to one another like adults, which I really like, since miscommunication is sometimes so frustrating to read.
Also, I quite liked the side characters. Scorp was less pratish version of his father when he was young and Theo was pretty cool too, although I kinda missed how he wasn't the usual 'sarcasm is a way to live' type. Astoria surprised me, if I'm honest! Usually in dramione fanfics, she's quite a bi*ch so it was nice to see her as a lovely person. I did miss Blaise in this book, tho.
This one is super sweet! I love sporty Draco and healer Hermione. A couple of charming pairs to help support the plot. Plus, a cute kid never hurts! Overall, I really love how this fanfiction did their interactions because it felt like they were pretty realistic in this weird situationship. There's no doubt that this fic gives an insight into a "perfect" end scenario because everything falls into place for our characters, and their ending is a VERY happy ending. If you want fluffy, determined characters with some spice you've found the perfect fit.
3 stars. This story was kind of disappointing to read, and was too repetitive. Halfway through I decided to continue reading only because I can’t leave a book unfinished. I love fanfic authors for giving us their work for free and I know they’re as devoted to this little world as I am, but there are far better Dramione fics out there.
This was a wonderful low angst fanfic of Hermione as a healer and Draco as a quidditch star. Really enjoyable read with great side characters and a well done look into trauma suffered during the war and how they handle it.
Hermione was the most prominent in this one and I can see why In_Dreams won the award for best Healer Hermione.
Someone recommended this story and I immediately stopped what I was doing to start reading it! I loved everything about this! The vibe and the plot and the supporting characters! So beautifully written! If you haven’t read anything by this author you simply must!
Cute fluff! Is honestly a good read, but I do have to say this Draco is very ooc, bit cheesy but very supportive. It was a bit hard to imagine him as the usual “sneering Draco I’m used to reading. Overall it was a nice palate cleanser if you’ve been reading long dark AUs.
The relationship startup was really intriguing. The focus of the first half of the story was on Dramione’s romantic involvement & then the second half shifted to focus more on Hermione’s career advancements. Very touching moments that had me tearing. 2 🌶
I don’t really have a quote for this one, but it was a cute story. I was hoping for more Scorpius moments to be honest though. But it was a cute story and the cruciatus healing was interesting and it’s fun to have that happy ending. Same with Astoria.
