Eric is almost 18, as he needs to wait only one day to be legal. Unfortunately, it turns out that it is a day that he will never forget, because his father decides to sell him to a rich, self-centered alpha who will gladly deprive him of his virginity. Eric feels he's trapped and he's afraid he won't be able to avoid the terrible fate. And that's the moment when everything changes. During his first "date" with the man who bought him from his father, the boy unexpectedly meets his fated-mate, Brooks. The man promises to save the young omega. But is he really able to succeed?

The thing that I really loved in "Liberated Omega", the second volume of "Wolves of Mist Peak", was its sweet fairy-tale like story, as even Eric used that comparison to describe his life. I admit that at the beginning I was a little irritated by the fact that this omega was comparing himself to the princesses, that is to the women. However, I accepted it rather quickly, as the young omega is the one who explains us this matter in a convincing and simple way. In the end, all the fairy tales are focused on princesses in trouble, so let's be honest, in whose shoes he should put himself? In any case, to this volume of her series, Aspen Gray added a large dose of the already mentioned fairy-tale sweetness, and so we can find here a horrible family member, their equally evil follower, a virgin in oppression, and even a heroic prince on his white horse. With all this in mind, how can we not fall in love with this story?

I mentioned the "heroic prince on his white horse" and that's what I would like to write a little more about, because I liked the fact that in "Liberated Omega" the author used the motif of a bad boy who in reality is a very chivalrous person. In fact, Brooks is a character who juxtaposes two aspects of a brave, fearless man. First of all, he is a typical tough biker who probably has more than one thing on his conscience and who was through a lot. Well, in the end, as a young lad he needed to find a way to somehow live his life. On the other hand, Brooks represents an alpha who's caring, ready to always defend his omega, who wants to settle down and start a family. What's more, he fully appreciates the role of omegas in every day life, as well as their strength. To tell the truth, I have the impression that in a way his character fully corresponds to Eric’s teenage or young adult's dreams. Thus, thanks to Brooks, when we read this story, we are able to fully feel how old our dear omega is.

A D/s motif is also quite an interesting thing in this relatively short story. In fact, it surprised to me a little. To be honest, I expected only some small elements of this theme, as we are reading an omegaverse story, so it's only understandable to have them here, but I didn't expect this topic to be so blatantly shown. However, I have no doubts that D/s motif suits our two main characters perfectly, because in Eric's and Brooks's case, growing up and living their normal life seem to be of great importance to their "sexual tastes". Well, we see it and feel it while reading this story, and it is undoubtedly an advantage that speaks not only in favor of the creation of the characters, but also of the whole "Liberated Omega".

In summary, "Liberated Omega" is a really short, nice story that we read extremely quickly and with great pleasure. I think that this is a book we can enjoy at any time, and which, thanks to its simplicity, improves our mood and somehow make us calmer.

My Opinion:
Brooks is going about his life when he goes into a cafe and smells the best scent in the world, and it isn’t on the menu yet. After being sold to an Alpha, he’s forced to go to a cafe and stay with the Alpha who is waiting for the moment he’s of age to get what he paid for. And not even a lot might I add. When sitting at a cafe realizing he is truly stuck, he encounters his fated mate who promises to come for him. When compared to the first, this one is more sex oriented (nothing until MC is of age BARELY). The 1st in the series had more romance and world building. This one definitely took more of the smut route, yet still had some romance elements? I feel like it should have gone one way or another as neither was fully embraced. It was still a good read. I like having the option of these novellas when I need something to read but not have to work hard for and can finish in a single sitting. There were a couple spots where names were switched around. But omg the ? I found that HILARIOUS. I wasn’t ready for it and literally laughed out loud and my husband was startled next to me.

Things That Are The Same As Most Of The Series:

“That’s it, baby. You’re mine now. Forever. - Brooks

This is the short and steamy story of Eric and Brooks. Eric is an omega wolf shifter who is sold by his father to an entitled and despicable alpha on the eve of his eighteenth birthday. On that very day, Eric meets his fated mate Brooks, who rescues him from the fate previously planned for him. Evil alpha Mark does not give Eric up gracefully.
I like Eric and Brooks, who spend most of their on-page time having competitive sex. They have one of the funniest sex mishaps I've read, which makes their story even better. A couple of the Mist Peak wolves from book one are mentioned, but they do not make an appearance. This is a good story, though I like book one better. I look forward to the next book in this series.

As this is the second book in the series, I sort of knew what to expect now and I gotta say: I was thoroughly entertained! If you can ignore plot holes (and I'm talking a big hole here, as the storie skips from the first 24 hours of meeting each other right to the day of birth for the first child) this is actually hilarious.
The visual of both men riding naked on a motorcycle while Eric's omega ass is dripping slick all over the seat had me in tears I was laughing so hard. And omg the sex talk had me laugh snorting! The way Brooks is describing his dick alone: "presenting him my dick like a trophy, a spear held by a gladiator"! Oh you big tough Alpha you! ... "spreading his legs wide open like a Thanksgiving turkey".
Oh and don't forget Eric's "slick that tasted just like his scent" - which happens to be "caramel mocha latte"! I can't even breathe!

Aspen Grey's Liberated Omega is the second book in The Wolves of Mist Peak series. When Eric's father sells him to a wealthy Alpha on the eve of his 18th birthday, he thinks it's too late to find real love. Luckily fate steps in and throws him in the path of Brooks, his fated mate... and nothing can stop this Alpha from saving his Mate... no matter what repercussions may come.

I love Brooks and Eric. They are sweet and sexy and fun to read. Their story is sweet and entertaining. Definitely worth the read.

I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.

Eric has been sold to a rich alpha then encounters his fated mate.
After graduation Eric is informed by his father that he has sold to a rich alpha and will go to him on his eighteenth birthday - Tomorrow. He will be going out that night for a get to know you meeting with this alpha. The alpha Mark comes to take him out for drink but scent smells off and makes Eric feel sick but he has to go with him. Alpha Brooks has come to Mountainside to live in his late father's cabin and goes into town to look around. He enters The Coffee Bean and smells his fated mate. This is an exciting MM MPreg romance which I enjoyed greatly.

"Yes, I thought. I've found him."

Eric is about to be sold to a mean and horrible Alpha on his 18th birthday. Luckily during a forced date, the day before his birthday, he meets his fated mate, Brooks. Eric is swept away, hoping he is safe and that his true Alpha will keep him.

This was a sweet insta-connection fairy-tale type where the strapping Alpha comes in on a “white horse and saves the day. I really liked both men. I thought they both really cared for each other and worked well together.

This is book 2 in the series so far and I am giving the book a total of 3.5 stars. I definitely liked book 1 better so far. This one is about Eric and Brooks and its a quick and easy read. Eric's father sells him off to Mark for $40,000 on the eve of his 18th birthday. Brooks just happens to come into the same coffee house that Eric and Mark are at and the connection is instant. They are fated mates. Will Brooks be able to save Eric from Mark??

It was interesting.

Eric was sold by his father to a heartless alpha named Mark. Eric wasn't aware of the "deal" until the so called date night. But even more so, he wouldn't be returning home. Brooks is a biker returning to a home that his father left him. A father he never knew. Its when he stops at a coffee shop that scents his fated mate and it's Eric. And in turn Eric scents it as well.

DNF stopped at 82%. There were so many characters in the previous book that I don’t understand why the author didn’t include any of them as a love interest. This felt like a story that belonged to a different series but just set in the same town. It was cute but I lost interest and wasn’t invested in the characters

I received this book by the author and This is my honest opinion.
This is the second book in the series, and though good it wasn't my favourite. There was some corny dialogue which made me cringe but I liked the characters and overall it was a good story.

This was such a sweet romance. Brooks saves Eric after he was sold to a cruel alpha. Together they build a family and a home for themselves. The story was as gripping as it was endearing. Well written with a smooth pace. I enjoyed it. =)
