Thank you so much for your reviews!

Chrys Fey is a disabled, tattooed author of books featuring heroines of steel. Her Disaster Crimes series is a unique blend of romance, disasters, and crimes, influenced by her own experiences with natural disasters. The conclusion of her series inspired her to create TheFightingChance.org, a resource for domestic violence survivors. On her blog, WritewithFey.com, she supports, empowers, and teaches fellow writers.

Fey got the idea for her first book when she was twelve and discovered a rusted screw with a crooked tip buried in grass. That screw was a key to an unknown world with an extraordinary character born in heaven.

She is a fur baby mom of four rescued cats. For fun, she photographs antiques, makes playlists, and creates flip cup paintings of Avrianna’s nebula. She loves Halloween, autumn, and gargoyles.

Keep Writing by Chrys Fey includes tips that everyone can use whether you are an author or not, such as reducing stress, especially in these turbulent times.

Setting goals is huge. Set short, medium and long range goals.

Short chapters written in easy to understand language.

Her tips are sparks, to ignite you, to set your passions on fire.

All of us bloggers are writers and I have dabbled in writing since I was a young child too. Will I ever write…my book? If I do, Chrys Fey shares easy to follow suggestions for us to pick and choose what works best for us. If I don’t, Chry shares sparks for destressing and dealing with depression.

Chrys draws from her personal experiences. Some tips may work for you and some may not, but I feel there is something for everyone in this gem.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Keep Writing by Chrys Fey.

This is a must read for any author suffering from one or all of the following: Depression, burnout and writer's block.

Ms. Fey shares practical tips and little known remedies for suffering authors. I appreciate how courageous the author was in sharing her personal experiences with all of the above issues. Her honest words will encourage various writers, from the newbies to those who have multiple publications.

Chrys Fey has overcome a great deal in her life to find success as an author. For her to sit down and pen was a generous act in order to help others.

Thank you, Chrys for sharing your experience and multitude of tips for all of us writers who may be suffering in silence and dealing with the typical struggles of being a writer today.

Highly recommend for any creative soul who feels burned out or stuck.

What causes writer's block? Anything and everything with no two writers alike. No doubt you'll find your block in these pages. But no doubt you'll also come away empowered, enabled, and enthused to cast it aside. Gracious, there are so many tips and lessons in this book that I dare anyone to pick it up and not be writing furiously by the last chapter.

I read this wonderful book in August of 2020 and am reviewing it in January of 2021. Shortly after reading this book, my reading and creative writing were put aside to help me cope with all that was 2020.

There is so much in this book that could benefit any creative person, not just writers, but as a writer, it really touched my soul. Before reading this book, I might have felt ashamed to step away from my creative outlets and robust reading schedule.

The major takeaway from this book is that "you are not alone" and in time and with effort "you can move on with your life."

Not everything in the book will be specifically applicable to everyone who reads it, but anyone with an open mind, or anyone seeking options to address writer's block, burnout, and depression will walk away having gained something positive. If nothing else, a reader will be able to appreciate the personal connection the author makes as she tells her story of depression and burnout.

Highly recommended to writers at any level and other creative types.

When the book came out, I dismissed it as something I didn’t need. And when I needed it, I was grateful to be able to buy it on Smashwords and immediately load it onto my tablet to start reading (instead of waiting three weeks for the paperback to arrive as I did with her great writing advice book).

Burnout is an awful thing, but with the various tips shared in this book, I know where I stand, what I need to do to get through it, and that I can.

I’ve been using lavender (fresh plants and essential oil) for my chickens and horses (for pests and to calm them) for a while, but never thought to use it for personal relaxation. Thanks to Chrys, I’m going to try out more relaxation techniques and add to my tea selection.

There’s so much to learn, so many personal stories, and a lot of encouragement in this book. Exactly what I needed to hear while feeling like I’m feeling right now.

A must-have in every author’s library whether they think they need it or not. As this author learned: eventually burnout gets to all of us.

The writing life has its ups and downs. This book addresses how to survive and start to thrive even in those down moments. This book is one of the best books I've read for dealing with author burnout and writer's block, with a lot of tips that come in handy for general depression. I applaud the author for tackling a tough topic and providing great tips, examples, and advice throughout the book. Every chapter has a gem of advice in it, and there are 78 Spark chapters. There is definitely something in here for every writer.
Highly Recommended to all writers.
