I thought this was going to be a cute love story 🥰.... Wrong! 😑❌🙅🏽♀️Isyss was dealt a terrible stack of cards in life. I was so anxious reading 📖 through this book, trying to see how she was going to navigate the different situations she was presented with😬. With a little over 100 pages, I was able to read this in a few hours. Very easy to read and so much going on I didn’t want to put it down. I’m glad I was able to get this book during the All Black book affair. So worth it! Last book of 2023.

For a first time author this was a well written book. Small enough to finish in one or two sittings. The characters were well established the story line was good. It was action from the very first chapter.

That was an emotional roller-coaster, and I couldn’t help but feel a way through it all. I loved the true support system that she had and loved the ending. Great read.

What a ride!
This was a page turner! What an emotional rollercoaster. Isyss, Isyss, Isyss! This story may be tough for one to digest however, this happens daily in society to individuals. Some make it and some don’t. Domino was a boy-man who felt as though he could take and move how he wanted without no repercussions; he was beyond a piece of work. The author executed this story with sensitivity.

IDK WTH was going through Isyss mind starting a relationship with Dominio. FrFr she should have ended his career, not fall in love with him!
Do you think it's possible to fall in love with a man that TOOK your virginity? I really don't know what Isyss expected out of this relationship. Dominio was very controlling, which should have been a strike 2 for Isyss. She should have started planning how she was gonna break it off with Dominio. But the 3rd strike definitely should have been when he laid hands on her in an aggressive way. And if the words from Delena didn't make you run and never look back....chileeeeee 🤦🏾♀�
Isyss should definitely keep friends like Shannon and Neema in her life, but that damn Paris! Oh Aht, Aht!
Cairo was cool peoples, I really digged him. This was a good liitle read. Isyss worked the mess out of my nerves when it came to Domino though. I'm so happy she got herself today and Poppi Moretti gets 10 snaps.

Sad with a happy ending. I wish we had a few more chapters of her happy ending. Isyss went through so much in her young life, but she was able to escape.

Isabella was alone in the world. Her grandmother whom raised her passed as well as her mother, she has no idea who or where her father is. She is off at college with two friends. Isabella has a huge crush on Antonio an older privileged football player. She goes to his apartment for a get together and finds herself in his bed. They end up in a relationship and he makes it big in the NFL. Her days of worrying about money are gone. But all that glitters isn't gold. The drama behind closed doors soon becomes too much!

Really good story
First book by this author and I enjoyed this story. Even though isis got on my nerves she really went through a lot and I’m glad how things turned out for her. Can’t wait for my next read from daronica. I def see myself reading her catalog. Dominoe was crazy and deranged from the beginning. Def got what he deserved. Check this great nail biting read out! You won’t be disappointed.

WOW!!!!
This was a great read. This is the 2nd book I read from this author and the flow is so nice, it has you feeling as though you are part of the story. You held my attention and had me anticipating the next page and chapter, I have no more nails left lol I was biting as I was ready. thanks for the read.

The ending made it worth it
I usually don't read dv books but I liked the author's previous book and decided to give this one a try. I gave it 4 stars due to grammatical errors and a point where the characters names got mixed up one time. Overall it did not take away from the story. I loved the character's growth in the story and wanted to know more at the end.

Good read.
An enjoyable short read. It's my second read from this author and I enjoy her books. The storyline was good and held my attention, there were even some moments where I got a little emotional behind events in the book. Worth the read.

Not at all what I expected
I’m just glad Isyss is okay cause giiirl!!!! She was going through it! I thought I was getting into a cute little Black romance and that’s not what I got lol but I did enjoy it. I would recommend this book just don’t expect to be reading what I did.

Like a lifetime movie on paper
This book made me feel like I was watching a lifetime movie on paper. Isyss really went through it with that man � if you could even call him that! My heart was beating out my chest reading each page. 😩 whew. Especially the last five minutes of the book. Having read a few of Daroncia’s books, I love that this is her first one and I love the growth.
