I started prospecting for the Blackwings MC to appease my grandfather. He raised me after my parents died, and I’d do anything for him. As it turns out, he was right. Joining the Blackwings MC was the best thing for me. Until it wasn’t. I had a personal obligation to uphold—a promise I made to a woman I’d never met—and my time with the MC was interfering with it. When she disappeared, I was consumed with anger and guilt. Thinking a change of scenery would help, the President sent me to the Devil Springs chapter to start over.
Avery
My life changed in the blink of an eye. Suddenly, I was a single parent with two small children. My friends, family, and community all came together to help me during the darkest time of my life. But, being reminded of what once was every single day was too much for me. I couldn’t move forward when I was surrounded by the past. So, I packed up my family and moved us to a new town. Things were going okay for us, until I discovered my past followed me.

Savior became part of the Blackwings MC after a life changing moment had him spiraling out of control. His President decides to send him to the Devil Springs chapter to get a fresh start. Not long after he sees a woman who peaks his interest but is clearly struggling with something. They find themselves not talking but sleeping with one another, until the day he realizes who she is, Avery. Savior and Avery's life is connected in a way that either one is sure they can come to terms with, but when she finds out she is pregnant everything changes.
I don't want to reveal too much of this story line as it is such a powerful story. Grab some hankies too because they will be needed. I loved this couple, definitely wanted more of the two of them and Avery's kids are a hoot. Best story so far of hers that I have read.
A beautiful love story with a bada$$ biker and a beautiful widow...
Teagan you have written a book that makes the person reading it feel just what the characters do.. BRAVO!! to you. You did an amazing job bringing Savior to life. Savior is a a strong man who carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. A mistake that happened a few years prior has changed everything in his life. He pushes forward and finds different things to help alleviate the guilt he feels, the problem is nothing he does seems to help. Avery has suffered a major loss, but pushed on for her children and herself. A chance meeting starts a chain of events that neither 1 of these broken souls seen coming. My heart ached for the both of these characters. I may have even shed a tear a time or two as well. In this fantastic story we get both sides to a horrible situation, but we get to see something very beautiful blossom from it. As the plot thickens between these 2 a plot twist occurs that left me with my mouth hanging open. We get the truth behind some of the secrets that have been kept over the past few years. We get caught up with past characters, and even get introduced to a few new ones!!!
So good! This book is Savior's and Avery's story. Saviors life has been kinda rough.. thank God for his grandfather. Got him involved with the club after a really bad accident. He did everything he could to make things easier but some things just need time.
After a while he is transferred to the Devil's Springs chapter for a change of everything....yes, scenery, people who don't know him or what happened and a chance to be who he needs to be.
This book has bit of ott with problems especially with Avery. Not as much club stuff but enough. On to the next book 📖
The history between these two is so tragic, more so when you are at the end of the book and know it all. It makes you feel for both characters, how both are just existing, not really living, I'm glad that both had their lives shaken up. It was interesting to see Avery go through all the emotions she did, while Savior was there for her all the way, in whatever way she would let him. It was fun to see them build something, for Avery and her family to see what a family the MC was, that was especially important towards the end when their lives sort of imploded all at once. It was crazy how everyone was hurt at the same time, in different degrees. They really needed one giant room at the hospital, so everyone could see each other at once and know the status.
The drama at the end was so crazy! In a way it was good, it allowed the truth to come out and for everyone to put the blame where it needed to be and allow them all to move forward in their lives. They deserved all the happiness they could find!

I mean sure this had an unreasonable amount of traumatic car accidents for one single book in a way that beggared belief, but the emotion and the drama and the conflict and the healing journey were everything. I was rooting heavily for Savior and Avery, and I loved how much vulnerability the author infused into this for both characters. Many times in MC romance there can be a bit of toxic masculinity festering in the character development but here the brotherhood was strong and supportive and made room for each other to fall apart and to be there to put the pieces back together. I think this is probably my favourite book so far across the original series and this spin-off.
I loved books one and two but this one WOW! Just WOW!
So much happened in this book. From moments that mad you laugh, to angst that made you want to scream and times of tenderness that could make you weep. Plus all the steam you expect from this author!
I fell in love with the main characters and loved seeing old friends from previous books.
Plus it’s not very often I don’t figure out who the perpetrators are before the end. I got it partially right but Teagan Brooks surprised me with the other!
This has been my favorite book by the author so far. I really liked main characters Savior and Avery. I really enjoyed how the author tackled this storyline and I laughed more than once while reading this book.
Savior is book three in the black wings MC Devil springs series. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. Teagan Brooks books are awesome but with every one, they get better and better. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters loveable and the storyline enjoyable. After a heart breaking accident, Savior’s grandfather forces him to join the black wings MC. He soon realised it was the best thing he ever did. In order to right his wrongs, Savior continued to help out a stranger and her little kids. When she ups and disappears, Savior struggles to cope. It isn’t until he is sent to the devil springs chapter that he starts to relax. When he meets Grace, he is instantly attracted but tries to deny the pull he feels. Avery Grace is a widower and single mother. When her children spend the summer out of town, she spirals into a deeper depression. It isn’t until she meets Savior that her life becomes a little lighter. When things happen and secret links are revealed, how will Avery react? The chemistry between Avery and Savior is clear to see and I liked them as a couple. I liked that despite the past they shared, they made it work. I liked that Avery gave Savior a chance and soon found herself falling for him? I loved the bond Savior had with Riley and Braxton. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
Quick Info Standalone/Cliffhanger?: Standalone Part of a Series?: Yes ---------------------------------- Meeting the Characters Savior Avery ---------------------------------- What happens? Savior is in a car wreck. He accidentally hits and kills an off duty police officer sitting at the side of the road when he falls asleep at the wheel. Unable to live with his guilt he tries to look after the police officer's family without going near them; paying for school trips, meals and other things to help the newly single mother get through life without her husband. Avery is struggling to deal with the loss of her husband, even though unknown to anyone else they were estranged at the time. Torn between mourning the loss of the love of her life or the man he became she ends up in the arms of Savior, and ends up expecting another baby with the man who killed her husband. Final thoughts I love Savior. Hes a good character, he doesn't make excuses about the accident. It was something he feels very guilty about and I think that shows his character. I felt Avery's pain throughout this and I was rooting for them to properly get together for once and for all. Would I read again?: Yes Would I read this author again?: Yes
*WARNING* contains explicit sexual content, adult language, and violence Savior made a serious mistake one night and has never forgiven himself. Avery doesn't know the whole story, but continually grieves. Another incredible book from Ms. Brooks. I enjoy having the characters from the original series make as appearance. The story of Savior if a rough one. This has all the feels expected of a romance, with all the support of a family CHOSEN not born. It just seems one thing after another happens to the main character, I found myself wondering if this poor guy was ever going to catch a lasting break. For those adults out there who like big, bad bikers that would do anything for there families, this is for you. RECOMMENDED
4.5 stars!! I loved Avery & Kellan aka Savior! I loved the kids, the whole MC family, reoccurring characters and amazing storyline! I didn't necessarily love how Avery & Kellan came together....spoiler so I won't go into details here.... That part just didn't sit well with me but I quickly realized the story was bigger than just that part! Love Tegan Brooks stories and how well they are written. Each book is filled with love, romance, drama, mystery. Filled with the love of family some by blood some by choice! Hea, epilogue, free with K.U.
Savior is who we have all seen from his first appearance and finding out how he came to Blackwings MC. My heart broke for him and Avery in the beginning 2 lost souls looking for something to make them feel alive not just living. Everything they faced separately and together seemed like it would be the final thing to break them but they just got stronger. Savior proved once again that he was will to do anything to keep Avery and kiddos safe. I loved this book!
Wow, I really thought I was going to go an entire series without having a favorite!! I've loved every single book in this entire series to absolute pieces, but this one takes the cake!!! Hands down my favorite in the series. Poor Savior and Avery had one blow after the other... I kept wondering, what is going to happen next?! They've already been through so much! How could something else happen?!? Y'all. This series is amazing.
All the feels with this one! My heart was broken from the beginning for Savior and Avery. So much happened, that I was worried how they would come back from it all, but I should've known better. TB can write a dang book and never lets me down!
After an extended wait Savior was definitely worth it. I didn’t want his journey to end!! There was laughter, tears and so much goodness. A huge 5 star in my opinion!!
I was hooked from the start and couldn't put it down. Rollercoaster ride with all the emotions. I laughed out loud and cried. Awesome book. Can't wait for more.
This is a MUST READ!! Savior is my favorite BWMC story thus far. His and Avery’s story is one of heartbreak and salvation. Absolutely loved and highly recommended
So, I don't even know where to start with this book. It's one of the more crazy (in a good way) and emotionally charged MC romance I've read in a while. I was definitely not thinking that I was walking into this type of story when I started. I mean, all synopsises, synopsi?, synopsicles?, sychnapps? Okay...synopses. So, all these synopses sound like they're going to be hard-hitting emotional pieces that are going to take the reader on a wild journey of amazingness. We all know that a lot don't deliver on that. Well, this one does. It'll blow your mind. BAM!
Savior ended up in a bad accident that took the life of a police officer. He fell asleep at the wheel after burning the crayon at both ends. That doesn't sound right. After not being the brightest candle in the box. Nope. That doesn't either. Anyhow, he was tired from work and stuff. Somehow, he ends up with no jail time and doesn't end up getting sued, even though we all know that he'd end up with at least involuntary manslaughter. So, he ends up with the Blackwings MC to keep his head on straight after all that mess, and he did everything he could to pay it forward anonymously to the family of the slain officer. After being transferred to the Devil Springs chapter, Savior is trying to acclimate himself to the new club when he meets this woman who turns his world upside down and makes him forget--just for once--about the chaos he caused.
Avery lost his police officer husband after a driver fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into his patrol car that was parked at the side of the road. Ever since then, life has been a struggle. She's alone with two kids, and even though everyone rallied around her, she has to deal with the fact that her husband is gone. Needing a change of scenery in order to move forward, she moves to Devil Springs, but apparently, that doesn't quite help. When her parents take the kids for the summer, she finds herself alone and depressed, finding solace in sitting at a local bar by herself. (Cue the music: *ALL BY MYSELF*) Then, this annoying biker starts pestering her. He's hot, but she resists his charms...at first. And when they have amorous congress, it turns into a regular thing--until Savior disappears one day without a word.
This book is just...wild. I can't begin to explain the wildness of it because that would be one big pile of spoilers for you there, and since my only real critique was the Get Out of Jail Free Monopoly card Savior got after the wreck, I won't do anything with spoilers in this review. I will tell you that this book has twists and turns and places that will have you jumping out of your seat and going, "No way!" There may be some curse words thrown in there. The sexy times are fantastic, and the emotional dilemmas are like...wow, just wow. What a scenario right there. Fantastic read right there.
Kellan’s story broke my heart! All the guilt he felt for everything! It’s not something I have ever thought about, how someone would feel in his situation. And I think his emotions were spot on. Now there was a lot going on in this book! First the crash, then being a widow, then the drinking problems, then finding out, then the sickness, then the ex wife, then the pregnancy, then the new relationship, then the hit and runs, then the surgeries, then the premature birth, then the NICU, then the stocking, then the killing, then the talking to the dead husband. It was a ton to go through! I really liked Kellan once he found out about the pregnancy and how he was with his relationship and with the kids. I don’t think a lot of people would be as understanding as he was. And I wish it would have touched a little more on him overcoming or accepting his guilt. Now Avery I didn’t really like. She was a hot mess. It was understandable but definitely a hot mess. The part that really got to me was how she was acting like Ian was still there. If I followed the timeline right it had been a couple years since his death. Years, not months or days. I think she should have been in a better place before she accepted her relationship with Kellan. I understood her shock to find out they truth but I didn’t like how it changed her view of Kellan. It wasn’t like he could come back. He was gone forever. And I got really tired of her “your such a good guy and “it happens for a reason when she didn’t stand behind either of those things. And I didn’t like the proposal at all. They weren’t in a to be together and then they were getting married five seconds later? She needs to work on her shit before she agrees to marry you but not really want to be with you!

This was a more emotional book than some of the previous books in the Blackwings MC series. From the prologue to the epilogue everything seemed emotionally charged. It was very well written with several twists. There was less MC involvement in this book, but it was definitely still an MC romance.
Avery and Kellan met and hooked up for weeks before realizing the tragic past they shared. There were moments when I didn’t know if they would be able to get through their past in order to be together. I loved Avery and her two kids. They had been dealt a difficult hand but were moving forward. And Kellan was a perfect addition to their family.
There were so many things to love about Kellan. He was determined to try to make life for Avery and her kids better. I loved his relationship with Riley and Braxton and the way he acknowledged that he wasn’t trying to replace their father. Kellan was selfless and caring and just wanted to protect his family.
I loved the way the Blackwings accepted Avery and her kids into their family. They gave her something she didn’t know she was missing. And I loved the way Avery’s parents accepted Kellan. There could have been a lot of hatred thrown around but their forgiveness and understanding really helped Kellan.
This was a great read and a good addition to the Blackwings MC universe.
Grab a box of tissues, this is one hell of an emotional journey. I felt so sad for Avery. She was just sort of lost and stuck in a cycle of grief. No matter how great your support system, trying to raise young children on your own after losing your spouse would be emotionally devastating. To be honest though my heart absolutely broke for Savior. His nickname fits him so perfectly. He has this huge heart, but guilt has completely overtaken him. Fate brought them together though and watching their journey was beautiful.
The story is very well written, rich in detail without being full of unnecessary fillers. It's a very sad book at times, but it also shows hope and love. Some of the funniest moments of the series were there too, which helped to balance out some of the heavier aspects.
I knew from the start of this book that it was going to be an emotional read and I was right. This book had me ugly crying. It just hit me right in the feels in the best possible way. I love Savior and Avery with every fibre in my body as well as Avery’s children. Everything about this book was pure perfection. Every detail was spot on, the twists and turns were phenomenal and the steam was steamy. This is hands down my favourite book Teagan Brooks has writing at the moment. This is a book I can see myself reading over and over again and never get tired of it. That how amazing this book is. This book gets 5 stars from me.
When I started this book I thought I was gonna end up not finishing it or leaving it for last. I read the prolog and my heart nearly broke in a thousand pieces. But in true Teegan style it was put back together and I think this might be my favorite Blackwing book thus far. This was an emotional experience of two people that was dealt a sh&t hand in life but they stuck together and with the love and support of family and friends ( the part I love most about Teegan's books) they got their HEA. With the same steam, suspence, love, family and laughter we came te expect from one of our favorite authors this was another winner
What I liked: 1. Story driven plot 2. Lots going on!!! Never a dull moment. 3. Plot twists 4. The kids 5. The MC brothers (when they were involved) 6. Savior when he gets his head in the game. 7. Gave me so many genuine emotions/feelings.
What I didn’t love: 1. Savior felt too immature or idk.?? I’m not sure how to put my finger on it. He wasn’t alpha or manly enough for me not like I’m used to biker men being in most stories. He wasn’t caveman enough like: this is my woman and I’m taking charge, moving in and never leaving. Idk.. 2. Didn’t really feel the romance. 3. Didn’t like how Savior treated Avery for awhile in the beginning. She wasn’t a two but hooker.
Omg the book will have you with a tissue box near you throughout this book. Savior was carrying so much guilt the night of the accident. He wanted to do everything in his power to help the family he destroyed. When that family up and vanished that guilt weighed on him even more. When the President suggested he go to the other chapter in devils springs he didn't want to but did it anyways.
The night he met Grace his life changed and he didn't know what hit him. When Saviors past come back with some much trouble, savior doesn't think twice to protect what he knows is his.
I loved this book so much and couldn't put it down.
