Book #20 in the bestselling "Vampire for Hire" series!

Dealing with one's greatest nemesis can be frustrating, but Samantha Moon is literally beside herself.

From the moment Elizabeth escaped her mind prison, Sam and her family braced for the worst. With the plan now set in motion, only two things are known for sure: the plan is big, and it's going to be horrible.

After tracking the dark masters down to the remote jungles of Venezuela, Sam and her crew rush there to prevent the apocalypse they're certain is brewing. Alas, problems abound. Not only are they facing a new type of vampire they've never seen before, Elizabeth gets the upper hand in a major way.

Sam is thrust into a maze of alternate realities where she is forced to face an enemy far more dangerous than an ancient sorceress: herself. If she can't escape fast enough, Elizabeth will enslave an entire dimension.

Sam and the gang fly to Venezuela to confront (and kill) Elizabeth before she invades another dimension of Earth. But before they can, Elizabeth sends each of them bouncing around into alternate versions of their pasts where they have to rectify problems before they can return home.

The rounds of repeating possible scenarios are actually kind of interesting. I like how only the other can see the real, but some of the situations are heartbreaking. They’re good ’what if lessons in understanding why things happen and that things could be worse.

Footnote: 1) I’m going to have to pay attention more when I see people acting weird and talking to themselves. Maybe they really are.

2) I had a boyfriend like the one like Danny with his mom. He lived about 30 minutes away and he’d call 10 minutes before was supposed to pick me up to go out to say he had to go with his mom to the store or something. Dumped him and got a better one.

Fave scenes: Bending metal rods, Anthony’s dad’s decision, real Sam talking to Gwen and wrangling astronauts.

Enjoyed with some annoyances

I liked the different dimensions. Sam and Elizabeth spend a lot of time talking again. Sam seems to needlessly let Elizabeth have the advantage in a fight.

Also, didn’t in the last book Sam remark multiple times she didn’t have her vampire claws anymore but they were present in the fight in this book.

Kingsley is again a minor character and somewhat flawed in his emotions. And Danny seemed to be given a hero role. Just minor annoying plot points.

This one was really good but hard to follow

Sam and crew are finally at the "through down" with Elizabeth and company. They all meet at a Venezuelan temple in the middle of a dense jungle and from there it gets kind of merky. There's alternate realities in abundance and we're not privy to a bunch of stuff happening to Kingsley and Allison but the ending makes it impossible to skip the next book. Can you say "cliff hanger????

Fantastic read

I believe this is one of my favorite Samantha Moon books. When I first started to read it, I thought Okay here we go, a battle book between Samantha and Elizabeth. But wow, it was so much more and so much better than I could have ever thought. I read this book in one day; I couldn't put it down.

Everyone goes to Venezulea on Max's private plane to stop Elizabeth's plans. Samantha doesn't like the fact that her kids are with her, but she needs them. With the help of a ghost, they find out where she is. They are told how to get there. Once there, they now fighting the dark masters. Samantha and Elizabeth are fighting when Elizabeth pulls a power move. She sends them all to alternate realities. They will have to try to fix the situation in order to get out. Samantha goes through different periods of her life, she is thrown for a loop. Tammy and Anthony goes through major stuff as well.
I am not going to into details, as it will spoil the book. I have to say, you will love every minute of this book. What each character goes through is rough. I highly recommend reading this book, can't wait for some more Samantha Moon books

I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my honest review

Good, but odd

Well this book is entertaining, but odd. Everyone gets together in Venezuela to save a dimension from Elizabeth and the dark masters. Somehow they all end up in alternate realities. Sorta feels like an acid trip from when I was in college. But it is interesting.

Goofiest story line yet ....

Goofiest story line yet ....I used to enjoy this series but I guess I've ridden it too far down the line. Just a total stretch. Reads like filler.i always enjoyed the interplay of the characters but this just seemed like Sam imagining stuff to herself.

My least favorite of the series so far.

Without saying anything that will be a spoiler, I can say I really didn't care for how this book goes and will be happy when this Plot line vanishes.

The magic and interdimensional aspects are a bit stronger here, but the story is good and we get some additional character perspectives. Cool.
